Just purchased Power DVD 15 ULTRA for a nice price and wanted to test it out using my Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods Blu-Ray I recently received. Downloading the software for Power DVD seems to have gone smoothly but upon playing the Blu-Ray I noticed during the trailers that there was some stutter and lagging visually, but the audio was completely fine. I thought it might go away by the time it reached the main menu for the Blu-Ray but that wasn't the case. I looked into the settings and discovered that disabling the TrueTheater Video Enhancements that were activated by default fixed the issue and allowed for smooth visual feedback. So my question is why am I not able to play my Blu-Ray, with that TrueTheater Video Enhancement enabled, smoothly? Is it my hardware? I had downloaded the software accidentally on my Hard Drive, uninstalled it and reinstalled it on my new SSD. So idk if it will be fixed by reinstalling the software but I can try if you guys think it'll work. Any ideas? Let me know if you need any more information. So im watching star wars for the first time and im unsure whether to watch it in order it was made or another way, my friends tell me I shouldnt watch it in the order it was made. Im currently watching A New Hope ( First movie).

So I was watching Stargate SG1 the other day, and I had the overwhelming urge to want to punch the character Senator Robert Kinsey. It's truly astonishing how much hate I feel towards a make-believe person. So my question is: Who is the one character(not the actor) from a TV series, movie, anime, cartoon, etc, who you would most like to give a solid punch to the jaw(or equivalent body part if not human)?

Hi, I´m looking for a site where I can pay for watching a movie. Up to this point, I was always buying them on Amazon, where they offer SD stream for $4 USD, which is roughly a price I´m looking for. But when I tried to pay for Inherent Vice, it refused to accept my new credit card (old one expired and I just wanted to change the expiration date) and wants me to fill in tons of personal information, some even US only, which is silly, since I don´t even live there. I really feel like the greatest idiot, I only know about this movie thanks to torrent site I visit. My usual practice is to have a look at what new stuff they have (they really have nice rundown of pretty much everything of any quality, something I failed to find elsewhere), download anything even remotely interesting and then watch few of these, mostly giving up after half an hour. Torrenting a movie isn´t even illegal here btw., but I really liked this movie and since I would be willing to pay for seeing it, I wanted to do just that, since that is what I always do when I enjoy a movie. I used amazon for this, since they had all the movies I wanted to pay for and had reasonable prices (I would definitely not pay $20 for seeing a movie, cinema here is about $4.5), but amazon doesn´t want me anymore. I tried to chew thru their "options", but no success there. I have tried to find someplace else, but gave up after an hour of wasted time, official web didn´t help either. Getting this movie w/o paying took me two clicks and less than 5 seconds, finding a way to pay for it already took over an hour of my time and some of yours as well, since you had to read thru this wall of text (unless you skipped ). So, do you know any place where I can buy/stream majority of movies for around $5? Thanks Update: Google Play has a moderate number of movies for a reasonable price. They already had my credit card, had no problem w/ payment. Update: MS has much better solution.

So my movie collection has grown too large for me to keep track of in my head and I need to start building a database to ensure that I don't buy doubles. I know there are online databases, but I was wondering how many folks keep their databases in Excel and what they list in their excel columns. I am also considering online databases if it would give me a bit of flexibility as to what I own, in what formats, and other random tidbits. Suggestions? Thanks!

I have a Canon 7D, 40D, 20D, and Canon Rebel T5i. I have 1 mono pod and 3 tripods. I have many lenses including the Canon L lens. I don't have a slider and I don't have a microphone. I plan to make a short or a couple short movies this summer with my friends. I have about 110 days to shoot and edit everything. Not one of my friends knows how to hold, shoot, focus, or anything to do with cameras. I am doing everything on my own, and maybe an extra cameraman. My main question is what is the best microphone preferably shotgun, and what is the best slider I can get for around $500 total. I am not only trying to make this look professional for school classes but I need to shoot an interview and overview of a local business in the coming weeks. I know a lot of things about making movies and editing. So I need this stuff to work and allow minimum number of people to operate. Thanks and if you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know.

A bunch of my friends and I like to play Cards Against Humanity when we hang out. I we want to start using the blank cards and make custom question and answer cards. We are a bunch of nerds, so I was for ways to incorporate nerdy things, while trying to stay funny. Is Dom Cobb(Leonardo DiCaprio) awake or still in the dream world at the end of Inception. Cobb spins his top(totem) to determine if he is dreaming or awake. He then ignores it to greet his family. We see the top wobble. What are your thoughts on this ending? Is he awake or still dreaming? Poll is up but leave a comment if you want to explain your answer.

I've been wanting to get a pair of stylish, yet good speakers for a while now. Mainly because I'm tired of being bound by a cord, when watching a movie with my headphones, but also to relieve my head of the clamping. Requirements wise, I just want them to be small, compact, and preferably 2.0. And of course, like every speaker, you'd want them to sound good/decent. So here's an interesting predicament. I'm trying to stream my (totally legally obtained) movies from my desktop's hard drive to my PS3. Because for some odd reason the PS3 only plays nicely with my network shared folders a fraction of the time (they work all the time on other windows devices and all my android devices) I am using a bit of software cleverly called "PS3 Media Server." Sometimes it works great, and other times, not so much, with intermittent stuttering that seems awfully like buffering to me. This seems to be linked to the size of the file, so I'm assuming it's a bandwidth issue. The software has a couple options I've tweaked, one helped some, the other didn't seem to help at all. The first thing I tried was increasing the buffer size from it's original setting of 200MB. This helped in that it enabled the PS3 to load more of the data while paused, but it would eventually work through it's buffer and require me to pause it and let it buffer again, clearly not an ideal situation. I also found a Max bitrate setting, which I set to 0 (the settings say that means unlimited). My only issue with that is that it has an indicator on the main page showing it's current and peak bitrates, and max stays locked at 35 Mb/s no matter what I set the max bitrate to. I don't think this is a hardware issue, as both the PS3 and the Desktop are using Ethernet, I know my desktop is gigabit, I know my router is as well, and would be shocked to find out that the PS3 is using less than 100 Mb, likely it's also gigabit. So right now I can work on a theoretical bottleneck of 100Mb/s. My drive is a WD Blue 1TB 7200 with sequential reads of ~130MB/s (which my rudimentary math tells me should be a bit over gigabit speeds) so that's clearly not a bottleneck, even though it's only over SATA 2 (3 Gb/s). So as far as I can tell, the bottleneck has to somehow be software based? Is there something I can do to fix this? Is it a PS3 issue? Can it NOT accept data faster than 35Mb/s? Any help is appreciated.

The Experience , Well not the actually movie, atleast part of the movie, This is the first time the Virtual reality system is being staged for a movie promotion on this scale, The Ocuolus VR team along with Christopher nolan came up with this idea of promoting the movie & expanding the possibilities for the virtual reality system, The project required a team of 15-20 people over the span of two months to painstakingly re-create the world and "the exact ship" from the movie.the experience is that you get to travel within the confinement of the ships interior & also a ZeroG experience out into space & through the wormhole, The virtual Oculus Rift world was revealed on Monday in NYC and will travel throughout the country ahead of the film's opening Nov. 7.

So at the San Diego Comic Con Warner Brother's showed a teaser trailer for a World of Warcraft movie, simply called Warcraft. The movie will be directed by the awesome Duncan Jones, and they are said to start filming in early 2014. The teaser hasn't been released online and nobody there recorded it :angry: . But there are summaries online, my favorite being this one. What do you guys think? Are you excited?!?! I've never played World of Warcraft but I still can't wait for this. And for those of you who do play, are you looking forward to the film adaptation or are you afraid it will turn out like Avatar the Last Airbender and be a major let down? **Source**

Since we hear the word whistleblower all around the interwebs, I just watched the movie called "The whistleblower" on Netflix and it's bloody brilliant ! It's pretty tough to watch at times so keep your children away, but Rachel Weisz is phenomenal and I just recommend you guys watching it. Plus it raises interesting questions regarding the UN in war countries. Go watch it, it's awesome !

Wooo Hoooo! Rumor has it they're making a Battlestar Galactica movie! Rumor: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/battlestar-galactica-movie-gets-new-life-at-universal-exclusive-1201153687/ Unfortunately "Universal is ramping up a movie version of the sci-fi franchise “Battlestar Galactica,” aiming to develop the film as a complete reimagining of the story." So they will most likely screw up the old storyline and add a bunch of random characters and aliens and who knows what else to sell more toys at Micky D's. Oh well, hopefully instead they'll add more female characters as we all support the old Battlestar Galactica women, don't we . In closing, who's going to star in it?
