Hydrogen was first theorized to be capable of being a solid in 1935. It appears that this is possible. If it were to happen we would have a superconductor, and theoretically once you made this Metal Hydrogen (Actually a Metal) you could in theory have a superconductor at room temperatures. Needless to say this is a scientific holy grail. Superconductors are important to power transmission, as they present near 100% efficiency. As well as a room temperature supercapacitor would reduce maintenance. There are also other fuel/energy applications. (Will get straight to the point) I am looking for a new headphone and DAC, I am at the moment in the market for new hardware as a few days ago I was at a store that had some great demo's for headphones. So decided to try one out and even on my cellphone with my music in (AAC 128?) it sounded amazing. So not being a big audiophile i was wondering what would you guys (and girls) recommend for a good headphone and DAC. At the moment I am using My Macbook pro's bluetooth (and cellphone) hooked-up to my Sony zx770bn and was wondering what improvement I can make and how to get a better sound. I dont mind switching to cable just have these bluetooth headphones as they sound decent and are noise canceling but as I just upgraded my self to a personal office that is not really needed anymore. I really do not listen to bassy(?) music. I listen really only to Metal (Melodic/Death/Power) bands like Epica, Be'lakor, Insomnium, Soilwork Scar Symmetry, Rammstein ... etc etc etc. the only other real requirement is that it cant be like crazy expensive (my limit is about 800 euro's == ~900$US) Thanks in advance.

So, back again. I've had my set of ATH M50X's for a while now and I love them, but with one main issue- they are plastic! I've researched and trawled through forums and teardowns to see if they've remade the construction of metal. is there anyone who has attempted this? I really want to do this, but OBVIOUSLY I want to keep my m50x's in working order? cheers, Best DuckaSocks

Hi, I de-lidded my 4690k and replaced the intel internal TIM with Coolabratory's Liquid Ultra liquid metal TIM. I recently put the stock cooler back on and ran a 5 minute stress test with Intel XTU. Temps maxed out and stabilized in about 2 min, stock heatsink fan was 1600rpm. Here is the process: Idle temps after 5min idle: Core0: 23 Core1: 24 Core2: 23 Core3: 22 Package: 25 After 5 minutes of Intel XTU stress testing:(max temp) Core0: 61 Core1: 64 Core2: 63 Core3: 59 Package: 64 Not sure why but the last core was always 5-6C behind the hottest core. I may have uneven TIM spread, or because the TIM on the IHS is brand new and not cured. 5min after stress test: Core0: 31 Core1: 32 Core2: 32 Core3: 28 Package: 33 Does anyone have temps for a 4690k/4790k with the stock heatsink to compare? I forgot to do a test for reference before I de-lidded and I wondered if I had an improvement or not over the stock TIM. At least it doesn't look like I have to replace it.

I was going to buy the Streamcom FC10 Alpha which you can get for around $330 but i wont be able to cool the components down within the threshold i like with air cooling options. The problem is that in this case the only water cooling solution is to do a custom external loop. Which kills the idea of small powerhouse that i had for this build. I currently use my daily driver in a F.D. Node 304, that i consider far too large. The components that i will be cooling are: Either a 4670k @ 4.20ghz, 6700k @ 4.20ghz, or a 5930k @ 4.20 ghz. (all clocks are reasonable and the 4.20ghz is for immersiveness) A 980ti A Mini Itx Board The problem is that in the fc10 i cant fit a rad in that case(after mods) because the gpu will be in the way, blocking airflow. What i want out of the case/build: Near silence High performance w/o the footprint No fires Most importantly: Aesthetics. I have done a decently large search of cases that fit my needs and the only manufacturer that got close was silver stone, though all of the itx cases are too tall. Do you guys(the community) know of any cases that fit my needs or any companies that can custom make one that is of solid quality?

So we all know the amazing Robot Rock by Daft Punk however what u dont know is that the riff that the Robot Rock is around excisted almost 20 years before the release of it in 2005 by a metal band Iron Cross Mistress of the Dark song in 1986 Enjoy

http://youtu.be/5gkefHnLn50?t=39m34s First official PC gameplay to be shown so far, includes the video settings menu (mostly in Japanese). The game will have a 60 fps lock. In the video it's being played in 3325x1871, not sure why they didn't set it to 3840x2160 (sadly the stream is only 720p), i think they will upload a standalone video soon with 1080p @60 fps at the very least. Supposedly it's being played on a Tri-SLI GTX980 rig. I am really impressed by how it looks, you can definitely see that some love has been given to the PC version, overall we can see increases in light sources, better reflections, higher LOD distances, more objects on screen, proper Ambient Occlusion and etc.. Ground Zeroes is currently on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/311340/ and will release on the 18th of December 2015, so we are 1 week away. Surprised that there's no pre-order option for it. Translation of the menu:

So I figured this is where I should post this but I have recently really wanted to make my own chainmail (Similar to that which was used during the Crusades) I was wondering if anybody knows what the best way to do this is/ is it worth it to make your own rings or is it more effective to just buy them (if so where is cheapest)? Thanks

I am looking for a over-ear headphone that best suit the genres I listen to. I mostly listen to: -Metal -All kinds of Rock (from led zeppelin to alterbridge) -A little bit of jazz and edm(deadmouse, daftpunk...) I don't really have a budget for this, I am just looking for the best value I can get. Not planning to buy something right away just trying to get to know and explore the market. Recently tried out Koss Portapros, they are quite good for rock like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin but sounds a little noisy when I listen to metal. I appreciate any input to the topic. Thanks...

So, unfortunately I got a red Kraken G10 GPU bracket for my 780ti and that red bracket looks completely mismatch for the black and gold theme that ASUS had going with the Haswell line-up. Now I have an extra Kraken X60 lying around for the 780ti which I won't install until I get the red bracket a makeover. So here lies the problem, HOW DO I REPAINT THIS METAL? Carrying forward the same theme, I have decided to paint the bracket into a nice goldenrod shade with a custom sticker replacing the existing NZXT branding. but HOW DO I DO IT? I have no knowledge in painting metal, what paint would I need? what kind of primer? will I need to sand the surface off first? and how do I make a sticker to replace the NXZT branding? Anyone with knowledge in this subject please help me. My entire system has been built and this is the only that is remaining. Thank You

Ok so this is my review and first impressions on the Razer Adaro series in-ear headphones. I have had them for almost a week and will be comparing them to my Sennheiser cx150s which I have used for over 6 months now. UNBOXING So I don't know about you guys and gals, but I love Razer's packaging almost as much as two lovers in the prime of their relationship. It is well presented and emits a simple and professional feeling whilst unboxing. The package gave me some trouble until I broke out a trusty knife to do my bidding. Inside I was presented with the standard Razer package items (for those who don't know, Razer usually includes a manual, stickers and a cult welcoming thingy) joined by 3 alternate earbud replacements: Large, Medium "Bi-flange" and small. Razer was also nice enough to include a sturdy and aesthetically pleasing carrying case with a breathable material pocket for accessories, however I just used this for the spare earbuds and a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch converter. Other than that the box is nothing impressive.

A couple of weeks ago, we exclusively leaked details about the Galaxy A5 with an aluminium unibody and the Galaxy A3. It appears that the guys over atAndroidMX have leaked the images of the Galaxy A5 as well as the Galaxy A3. According to the Mexican Android website, the Galaxy A5 will feature an aluminium unibody with chamfered edges, a non-removable back cover and a Nano-SIM card slot. Both, the Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A3 might be launched in the coming months. As per our previous leaks, the Galaxy A5 (SM-A500F) would feature an aluminium unibody, a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,330 mAh battery. According to our sources, the Galaxy A5 is a mid-range smartphone so it might have a shell made out of some unique material to keep the manufacturing cost down while still providing a premium feel when held in the hands. The Galaxy A5 might be released with a price tag somewhere between $400 to $450. Just like the Galaxy A5, even the Galaxy A3 might feature dual-SIM card slots with LTE connectivity. It might carry a price tag of around $350 to $400. Samsung is also expected to be working on the Galaxy A7 with a 5.5-inch screen and a dual-SIM card slot with a suggested retail price of around $500. The Galaxy Alpha is one of the most beautiful smartphones that Samsung has ever made and after repeated requests from consumers, looks like Samsung is working on a complete range of smartphones with premium materials.

I was looking into making a PSU shroud for my corsair carbide 300r, I have measurements, but I don't know what kind of metal I need, where to get it, or how thick it should be. Could someone please help?

I built my first build some months ago and it doesn't look really good down with psu. So I am thinking about making a psu cover. What is the best method and material for this? Bending metal or gluing together some black acrylic? Thanks
