Hi there everyone I'm trying to find cable combs that will fit properly the replacement cables for EVGA G2 and P2 power supplies. Since the wires are thinner than many other "standard" sleeve PSU cables, I've read that many if not most people cannot get regular cable combs to fit properly. This is a bad situation if you want to have your PC looking super organized and tip top. If anyone is able to weight in and say if they have had success with "regular" combs or some that worked out ONLY WITH the EVGA sleeved individual cables, I'd love the input.

I just got my third BSOD in short period of time. Error code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT I do not know how to solve it, I tried to look it up but couldn't find a solution. Yes, I tried windows memory diagnostics tool, no problems found. Every time it happened, it happened while I was watching a movie or a video with vlc. Memtest 86 found 0 errors. Please help!

Any suggestions on classroom management software. I'm trying to narrow down something that is network deploy-able, easy for non-techy teachers to figure out, and difficult to hack. Currently I'm beta testing Net Control 2 and NetSupport. They are meh... ...also here is what I want my students to look like when they try to access the internets.

Hey there, I built my new PC just a few days ago, spent some days to install a few programms and finally wanted to play some games yesterday. Unfortunately after a few minutes in-game I get a bluescreen saying ,,MEMORY MANAGEMENT'' or ,, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION'' (most of the time it says MEMORY MANAGEMENT). After I get the first bluescreen, the PC restarts and I get more bluescreens right after I get on the Desktop. After a few bluescreens, I am able to work and play on the Computer for quite some time. I don't know exactly if it is caused by the RAM itself or some driver. I did some memtests without any errors. Does anyone know how else I could find out what the problem is? Could there be other components causing this Problem? I would like to attach dumpfiles, but this site does not allow that kind of file. Thank you so much for helping me

Hi guys, need some help in searching for a tool that suits best my needs. At the moment I have a larger than usual picture and video collection that is now kind of a mess. Most important, the program has to give me some kind of tagging mechanism on different levels or in categories, hard to describe: I hope this example will show what I mean: Category: Location Date Content Tags: here jan something there 2012 else It should give me the ability to just select already added tags to new files/folders in their respective category, e.g. I don't want to have 2012 in a tag selection in the category content. it doesnt have to give me a view of the files, primarily it has to give me the ability to find stuff faster. Also it does not have to support just images, it can support any filetype as long it is customizable. As of now I'm working with around 250-350k pictures in about 8k folders and around 2k videos in 150 folders. Those folders are already somewhat sorted and organized, but some files cross categories and I don't want to have 30 duplicates of one file. I already searched the web, but didn't find something suitable to my needs. It would be nice if someone could suggest something that could help me do my stuff, it would be much appreciated. If it is even a tool for free, would be great. thanks already in advance.

Yup! Another one! I'm looking to get a real roomy case, my next build is going to be built with a gigabyte 990fxa Ud5. Full atx. I do intend to go two way sli/crossfire and water cooling. The thing I'm really looking for is something that's going to give me room to work with, a window, and space to make it look beautiful. I'd really like one that has removable or modular bays, and room on the backside for tube routing and possibly ssd mounts. Any suggestions?

Hello Everyone! I am thinking about getting into a custom build over the summer, like seriously custom. I am willing to put all of the time and effort it takes to do everything I plan on doing (custom sleeving, hard tube liquid cooling, lighting, whathaveyou). In regards to the cable management anyway, I've hit a bit of a snag in the planning process. I want to sleeve my own OEM PSU cables and cut them to specific lengths depending on what connectors are where. My problem is that the way I intend to do this would be to use something like a mountable cable comb in order to route the cables along the backside of the motherboard tray, and I can find no such piece. Has anyone ever tried this before, and do you know what kind of fastener I'm talking about? Or perhaps a better way to go about this task? I have included a basic drawing of the way I intend to measure cable length in hopes that it will do a much better job at explaining what I want to do. Thanks in advance!

So this is the first time ive had this bsod, loaded up some cs:go, was sitting in a lobby when BSOD. Im going to assume its the ram for now, ive made a memtest usb il be running overnight. But ive needed some ram for a while so I went and ordered 32gb. "Why 32gb" "you'll never use all 32" "32 is such a waste" - Please run water simulations, particle simulations in maya, while running adobe stuff with chrome open. I will eat 32gb no problem, I dont know how I lasted this long on 8gb. The ram in question is corsair vengeance 1600 cl9 8gb (2x4)

So I recently attached my PS3 to the back of my 32" tv so that it would be hidden. Since I live in the Air Force dorms I'm unable to physically modify the room, otherwise it would be pimped. But now all the wires from the PS3 and TV were just hanging there and it was going to bug me. Thankfully I just bought these Cable Tie plugs from Menards for $2 today to tie a wire harness on my truck up. Tools and Hardware Drill and bit (1/4") GB Push Lock Base - Cable Tie Mounting Base (Fits 1/4" holes) Zip Strips (cable ties) Drill the hole You need to find and mark the spots where you would like to add a mount. You should be careful to not go to fast to punch through and hit the electronics. I happened to know exactly where the electronics were so I was solid. Snap the Mount in Pretty simple. Just press the pin in so that it snaps and clicks. Finish it up Now you can take the wires and the zip strip and loop it through and cut the excess length.

UPDATE - So I have been reading around and the consensus seems to be suggesting that its not specifically a S6 problem, its a Lollipop problem. This is less surprising, but equally terrible scenario if it is true. Perhaps it could be a software fix (seems like it) but all the same, this is terribly shitty on the part of Google for not coming across this at all before. Another day, another amusing issue for an Android phone. And its the crowd favourite - RAM management. Or rather, the substantial lack of it. Users all over are reporting that their S6s are killing apps with no regard for the actual amount of free RAM left, and some have even reported this behaviour across other devices which might lend credence to the idea that this is a Lollipop problem more than it is a specific device problem. In either event, this is kinda sad. People like to go on and on about how Android phone comes with more RAM. Well, looks like you kinda need it, and even then your phones kinda fail at using it properly. You shouldn't need crashed and forced closes on a device running 3/4GB of RAM. That is SAD. I have to live in a reality where Windows can use 4GB of ram more efficiently than Android can. What is up with that?? http://www.sammobile.com/2015/04/28/poor-ram-management-affecting-the-galaxy-s6-and-s6-edge/ http://bgr.com/2015/04/28/samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-ram-management/

Hi everyone, I'm building a new PC in about a month and I've chosen the R9 295x2 as my card... I'm concerned about case space issues, I was wanting to go with the corsair vengeance C70 but I'm not sure if this would have enough room for the card (given that I would also have a H100 CPU cooler top mounted, as well as 2 SSD's and 2 HDD's) Can anyone offer advice and/or experiences when building around this card? Don't worry I'll be going with a 1000w PSU. Thanks in advance!

Hello friends, I have been getting memory management errors and occasionally page fault in nonpaged area for the past one week. Both error occurs randomly except when I am gaming. The common pattern of memory management error occurring is when I am watching a stream on twitch.tv (or when I am gaming and a stream is running in my browser) mostly or a video on youtube occasionally. Currently there is no observed common pattern of page fault in nonpaged area error occurring. PC specs: http://imgur.com/0TjXMj9 BIOS version: http://imgur.com/OutsvS8 Software running when it crashes: Chrome with twitch.tv (did not experience crashes when I am not on twitch.tv) Error messages: http://imgur.com/a/UZByb (only memory management errors, did not manage to capture page fault in nonpaged area error) Ran windows memory diagnostic thrice with no errors found. I am willing to provide more info if anyone needs it.

Hi guys, @JaredB asked a question that made me want to do a simple guide on consolidating Steam Libraries. I do this a lot as I have 2 SSD's and an HDD. I move games I'm done playing to the HDD and ones I want to start playing (pre-downloaded ahead of time of course) from the HDD to the SSD. Now then, let's get to it.

Hi guys, This tutorial applies for any version of Windows from XP onward in regards to the actual program. However, finding it on XP can be difficult as it lacks the search box on the start menu that Vista onward has. You know how you can eject external USB devices? Flash drives, external HDD's and such, so that when you remove them, nothing bad happens? The same can be done with an internal HDD. Thus allowing you to remove it without powering down your computer with minimal risk. Firstly, you want to press the start button. Then type Disk into the search box and click "Create and format Hard disk partitions". Illustrated here: Then, you want to right click the disk you wish to eject (usually you can tell by size, but if you have multiple ones of the same size, right click and click explore to make sure it's the one you want), then click "Offline". Then I give it about 30 seconds to power down, and I remove the HDD. Illustrated here: You can also use this program to partition HDD's, create Virtual HDD's (outside of a Virtual Machine), and format drives. However, I don't think many know about the Offline feature of this program. I think it's pretty cool honestly. Hope this helps those with limited time or special conditions who need such a thing (i.e. you can't turn off the computer, but need to remove an HDD for something, or your lazy, like me ). I do not suggest installing an HDD while a PC is powered on. I've created many bricks by trying that. 90% of the time it works, but ... losing 500GB worth of data (my personal experience) due to a burned out PCB just sucks. Anyway, hope you learned something. Vitalius.

Hi guys, Don't feel you need to answer all the questions. Any question you can help me with or advice you can give would be much appreciated. My workplace is planning on moving our employees over to Roaming Profiles at some point (where the profiles are on server and all computers on the network use the profiles there to log in, so it doesn't matter what PC you are on, you have all your things), and tbh we haven't dealt much with it. My supervisor has been toying with it and researching how to set things up and get it working, and I've been doing the same recently. I discovered that by way of Group Policy Management, I can basically set it up to where, when someone logs on to a new computer, their profile will download and it will give them everything they need/want. Their files/folders (Documents, Music, Downloads, Desktop, etc) will all be living on the server. They will never connect to it by way of Wifi or remotely (WAN) and only by Ethernet (LAN), so speed isn't a concern. One thing to keep in mind: All of our users, except for 3, are on Windows 7 Professional. 2 of those 3 are on Windows XP (due to legacy reasons), and the last one is on an iMac (the boss loves his Macs). All of our Servers and Domain Controllers are Windows 2008 Server Enterprise edition. How do I link a Group Policy to a Group? I have created a Group Policy to test with that has 1 of everything I want to be using (Applications, files, folders, Data Base connections, things like that), but I have yet to figure out how to link that to a Group. I have a Group with a Testing account in it. I'm just missing the part where I connect the two to where, when I log into the account, all of the Group Policy settings will take effect and the Profile will be a Roaming one. What is the easiest way to turn a .exe into a .msi package? I am very wary of online file format conversion (or package conversion in this case) tools. Too much uncertainty in regards to virus', malware, spyware, etc. I'll be using the .msi packages, once I make them, to update their programs and give new ones as time goes on. For those with experience with this, what advice do you have in how I should set this up? Basically, at first I was making a single policy with everything anyone could ever use and was going to say "Ok, this user gets these things and the rest don't.", like that. Then I realized how much a pain in the butt that would be to manage as it took 5 clicks and some typing to give a single user one "thing" (file, folder, drive, application, wtv). Now do that 50 times with 50 items. LOL NO. So, then I realized it would be better to have one generic policy (that covered everything everyone would need), and multiple unique policies based on department. Then I could just attach 2 policies to a single group, if that is even possible. I assume it is. Not sure if there is a more efficient way. We have around 50 employees in total right now and are going to be expanding in the near future (20 more people roughly), so ease of use is paramount to give us time to do other things. Lastly, how can I set a user to be able to write to a file, but not delete it? Basically, we are going to be using an intranet communication software. It will keep a history of their logs (for obvious reasons), which I want to allow to update, but not be deleted, and a copy to be kept on the server which will update either when the file gets bigger (i.e. more messages have been sent), or a new one is made (i.e. they empty it, which is against our policies, and it starts to fill up again). I can't come up with an elegant way to do that. *sigh* I am very adamant about using Group Policy to make Roaming Profiles (as long as that is the best way). My current method of updating user's ... well ... anything is to set a task in their task scheduler to run a Batch File that lives on a network drive that everyone has access to. This is not optimal at all. It barely gets by. Very very ghetto. Group Policy is basically the GUI version of what I want (mass updates for everyone, a centralized point where anyone can go to fix things, etc), which is epic. Thanks for any help you can offer, Vitalius

so I use waterfox, which is x64bit OS optimized version of firefox, and as I'm writing this it's using about 280MB of RAM that might not be a lot, but with 4GB of RAM it's a bit of a tight space. so I was wondering if there are addons for firefox that might decrease my RAM usage. thanks in advance for any information, and have a wonderful day!!

I've decided to surprise my girlfriend with a custom built computer, but I'm conflicted as to how to manage the storage. I've been thinking of getting her a 500gb samsung SSD because her number one concerns are heat and noise, but the price is conflicting, as amazing as $260 is. My next thought was a hybrid drive, but those won't be quite as responsive and still tick. so then I thought maybe a 128 gb SSD and a hybrid drive. This, however, comes with its own drawbacks, namely ease of use. I want to make it as easy as possible for her, and managing where to install every program can get annoying. I've tried using the registry edit to change default install path with windows on other computers, but had little success, and often ran into blue screens. I was wondering if someone could recommend a very under-cover SSD management software that would take care of default the install path while not being "in-your-face" every time the computer starts up; preferably something that operates in the background only. I'd appreciate any input. Also, here's the build if you have any suggestions. the biggest game she'll be playing is the sims 3, but she has a lot of custom content and add-ons, so it takes a beefy computer (which is why she always uses mine). Build so far: bitfenix neos purple/white windowed case msi H97m-G43 motherboard (matx) gigabyte windforce GTX 770 4GB NZXT Hale 82 550W modular PSU intel core i7 4790 teamvulcan 16Gb 4X 4gb memory @ 1600mhz (bought these a while ago, so it only cost me $100. ram prices today are crazy) samsung 840 evo 500 Gb asus dvd drive 2X corsair AF120 purple LED quiet edition fans 1X corsiar SP120 Purple LED fan Enermax Liquimax 120S AIO Liquid cooling windows 7 64-bit home premium If you have any suggestions for better, more cost effective gear, I'm willing to hear all of it. Also, she's not a tech junkie, so she won't be overclocking. I just thought the extra threads would help if she gets into video editing like she's been planning. Thank you for the help!
