Hey all, I'm new to the forum but have been watching the youtube channel for quite some time and it really helps. I have request for the forum if people will please help. I'm needing help to build my brother a new computer for gaming and streaming. I have an idea what would be good but I just want to get professional advice from a PC tech forum. I will be trying to buy the parts sometime next week. 1. Budget & Location My Budget is $900 Usd and location is United States, Nashville Tennessee. 2. Aim This pc will be used for PC Game streaming and just plain gaming as well. Mostly at 1080p. Most gaming and streaming will be for League of Legends or Dota 2 or any other Moba, Any RTS games, And any PvP oriented game.Sorry for being vague. 3. Monitors Just 1 monitor at 1920x1080 4. Peripherals I just need an OS I believe no need for mouse or keyboard. Preferably an OS that will support games well. 5. Why are you upgrading? I am not actually upgrading just doing a build for my brother so he can stream.

I hope this is the right section. This error only occours while actively playing League of Legends. I allready repaired and reinstalled the game and my GPU drivers. Completely randomly the screen turns black for 3 - 5 seconds after that the game either crashes and I have to end the process via task manager or it turns back to normal. This happens 1 - 3 time per game. Temps of my GPU, CPU, Motherboard, HDD never exceed 50°C. Dont know if that is important buy my GPU driver version is the most recent 14.12 My System: CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 Cpu-Fan: Zalman CNPS 9900 RAM: 8Gb/1600 of corsair Motherboard: ASRock M3A790GXH/128M Grapic: AMD Radeon 5770 ---> got updated to a Sapphire R9 280 OC Dual - X HDD: WD 500GB Sound: Soundblaster Z PSU: Thermaltake Berlin 630 Watt This is the error message: (only in german I am sorry but the codes should be the same): **League of Legends Client Zusammenfassung Beendet und geschlossen. I just bought my Nvidia GTX 750 ti SC and i mostly play LoL and i thought i would get more fps than 60, but i played LoL and it was just like my old GPU and still 60. i have everything on high but still 60. I see other people playing LoL at higher FPS and idk how to make my FPS higher, PLS HELP!

Riot has announced plans to improve ping times and reduce packet loss by working directly with Canadian and US ISP'S to improve the experience of League Of Legend Players. There seems to be no word if they are planning to do this outside of North America, however, they say it could be ready as early as March. Source: http://www.pcgamer.com/riot-plans-to-optimise-the-internet-for-league-of-legends-players/ I say any improvement to internet, even for 1 specific thing is good, and hopefully it could be eventually used for other games in the long run (Dota Player myself). However, on the downside, with how ISP's can be greedy (Especially Canadian and us ones) hopefully they don't see this as a cash in opportunity, where they can make game developers/publishers pay for priority network access, and eventually slow down the ones that don't, aka game fastlanes. (For the record, it doesn't say that RIOT is paying the ISP's, but one can assume).

Dear linustechtips forum, I have become very interested in 4K monitors. As I have some money to spare I am looking at possibly purchasing a 4K monitor. I am currently running this system: Hadron Hydro - 500 W 80 Plus Gold Asrock Z97 AC 8 GB G.Skill DDR3 1866 MHz G3258 @ 4,00 GHz, cooled with Enermax Liqtech 240M ASUS GTX 750 TI STRIX So here is the question: Would it be possible for me to run games such as CS:GO and League of Legends in 4K @ 60 Hz with my current system? I am specifically looking at this monitor: ASUS PB287Q. Kind Regards

I have played League many times before, and I enjoy it a little just because it's a different style of gameplay then World of Tanks is or any other game. But then there are people that are REALLY hardcore League players that are almost obsessed with the game. I mean yeah I like it for something different once in a very great while. What is so attractive about the game and why do people enjoy it so much to the point of being hardcore about it?

Why do (League of Legends) streamers not cap their fps? Is it for bragging/show off? Doesn't it only make the gpu work more for no reason?

So I got this really old PC lying around and for the next few days I'm gonna have to use it, I want to play LoL on it but even on medium settings it kinda lags on this Nvidia GT 9500. So what's the cheapest GPU I could get to run LoL at at least high settings with no problem? Here's LoL's system requirements : Recommended Specs 3 GHz processor 2 GB of RAM (Windows Vista and 7 users should use 4 GB of RAM or more.) 12 GB available hard disk space Nvidia GeForce 8800/AMD Radeon HD 5670 or equivalent video card (Dedicated GPU with 512MB+ Video Memory(VRAM)) I do have a 2.8ghz processor and 4gb of ram.

I want to buy a computer with a i5 intel. I want to be able to maybe stream/record and play LoL with fps at least over 100. Maybe while I'm playing I want to be able to have a few tabs open as well without lagging going under 60 fps. Nothing too expensive and not some cheap toaster . Just here to listen to suggestions. Here is one PC that I found that I think is good, ( I don't know much about computers ).

I am considering to buy a 144hz monitor to compliment my 60hz monitor. I play mostly league of legends and CS:GO. My plan is to run these two games on the 144hz and any games I can't run on the 144hz i would play on the 60hz monitor. I have a GTX 780, 4770k, and 16 gigs of ram. 1) Will I be able to play those to games at 144hz 2) Is it worth the money to buy a 144hz monitor 3) Are there any other options that I should consider

So, I have seen a lot of "ONLY COMPETITIVE" or "NEED EXPERIENCE" or "ONLY THIS GAME" posts, and haven't seen many (if any) posts like this, so I feel like throwing out my info for any casual gamers who might want to play a game or two with me. ***Note, I am CASUAL about gaming, mostly because I kinda suck at everything. Is there a difference in field of view between 1080p and 1440p in League Of Legends. I would like to buy the ASUS ROG PG278Q but my main game is League but i do play a lot of steam games. I mainly want a bigger field of view for league without hacks or anything like that. 1440p is so much bigger then 1080p and i love it but i would love a bigger FOV as well. Please help in any way.

So there's a LoL club at school, and I figured it'd be a good excuse to get back into League of Legends. Only problem is, I've been out of it for so long that my old Summoner name got deleted (it wasn't very good either). So as a result, I'm looking for a new name. The funnier (and punnier) it is, the better. Thanks in advance.

Kind of weird if you ask me, but I always wanted something like this to happen. We are only getting there. Why LoL only? Not sure. Apparently it took a whole, whole, whole lot of lobbying on Riot’s part. Surprisingly few riots, though. Meanwhile, speaking with Polygon, Riot VP of eSports Dustin Beck pointed out that this opens up the option for international players to transfer onto US teams. So basically, everybody’s now one big, happy, grievous-insult-hurling family. It really is a big deal though, as these people put in serious work and deserve the recognition that comes with it – even if they don’t hit a ball, swing a stick, or walk slightly faster than most people normally walk. So bravo, USGOVT. Now can you tell Texas to stop arresting teenagersfor bringing (admittedly awful) LoL trash talk onto Facebook? I don't know where to post this, hopefully I am on the right forum. I can not get league of legends to work. Even after a fresh download, after it installs the prerequisite software, it just throws up an error saying pvp.net patcher kernel stopped working. I can get it to patch or anything. I have tried uninstalling it (including with CCleaner) and I just have no clue what to do. Has anyone else had this problem, am I even on the right forum? Thanks in advance!

Need Help with Gaming Pc Build! (League of Legends)

So I have this really old laptop that I play League of Legends with on Low Settings and get around 30 fps when in lane and 20 fps in teamfights. Im planning on creating a pc just for League of Legends and if the pc is strog enough, other games such as Skyrim and Far Cry. My price range is 800 $. You can also suggest laptops because I prefer laptops because I can watch movies on my bed . Anyways I have a build in mind. I don't need monitors, peripherals or an OS. Here is the build. Amd Fx 8320 Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 WD 1TB Blue 8.GB G.Skill Sniper Ram Cl9 Corsair CX 600 Corsair Carbide Series 200R And finally Asus R9 270x I'm planning to play other games if it can handle them. Feel free to suggest changes or just make a completely different build to mine with Intel/Nvidia. Hello everyone. I have an annoying problem - from the moment I installed Windows 8.1 (after 3 years of using Windows 7) I started getting random (sometimes not so random) sounds when you connect and then disconnect a device. It's never only connect or only disconnect sound - it's always disconnected and then connected device sound. I didn't have that problem on Windows 7. It happens almost 8 out of 10 times when I'm - Starting up my system - Starting a game (Battlefield 4 or League of Legends, what's funny - it doesn't happen when I'm starting/playing Diablo 3: RoS) - Turning off/on router switch (Livebox 3.0) What I tried: - Using different ports for my mouse and headset (tested all of them) - Disconnecting headset and using different USB mouse - Installed newest drivers from Nvidia, Roccat, Logitech and Asus sites (all for Windows 8 or 8.1 x64) - Tingling with power saving in device manager I don't wan't to believe that any of my motherboard/case ports could start acting up because I'm not using them at all. I'm not even connecting any flash sticks and PC is standing in one place all the time. PC Spec: DXDIAG: If I can provide any logs you might need just tell me. I'd like to solve that problem because it's driving me crazy! Thank you in advance.
