Hello everyone, I´m new on the community and i hope you can help me with this weird issue on my PC when booting up. (In advance, I want to apologize for my poor english, I am from Latin America and English is not my strong suit. I´ll try to be clear as possible. My PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600g MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance Pro (2x8GB working in Dual Channel at 3200MHz) Samsung NVME SSD 980 500GB PSU: MSI A750GF 80gold The issue: One in every 20 or 30 times, my computer turns off just before starting Windows (It doesn't show the Windows logo before turning off, it's always before and after the Motherboard logo) The times it does start (The other 20 or 30 times), it works perfectly and can stay on for the amount of time you want and even under heavy load (Gaming). Do you guys have any idea of what could be the issue? Should i be scared of this damaging my PC at the long run? I assembled the PC part by part about 4 months ago but at this day, i´m still cluless about this isssue.

Hi we recently have had an issue with 3ds max 2020 after upgrading to V-Ray 6.1, typically we work in 2 instances of the program so while one is loading a file we can work in the other. However after the V-Ray upgrade the issue is that while the file is loading it freezes and locks up everything in windows until its finished loading. What I've found is that if I manually change the process affinity to force the 2 instances of 3ds max to use separate cores the issue isn't present. I have already contact V-ray and 3dsmax support but they are horribly slow so I would like to get some suggestions from the community.

I've posted to this form before about high temps in FIFA23 and other intensive games. Since then, I have not found any solution other than simply not playing the games that cause these high temps (90-100c). Before I take my PC back since I am still under warranty, I just want to know if it's specific to my machine or just a common issue amongst this CPU. I just ran a 3dMark Time Spy benchmark so take from this what you will. I understand what components it could be, I would just like to know what other people (the relatively uninitiated) would do in this scenario. Thanks to anyone who can help!

(Reposting this from reddit, as I did not get much help there) Specs out of the way: - i7 12700F - B660M Aorus Pro AX (DDR4) - 16gb 3200mhz DDR4 RAM (8gb x 2) - Gigabyte RTX 3070 Good day! The specs listed above is my new PC that I had just built last year February. This year starting February I've been having issues with it. Particularly, it won't turn on. The issue started when one day, It wouldn't turn on automatically with just one press of the power button. The fans would spin for just a split second but my PC won't continue powering on. I found out that if I hold down the power button for around 3 seconds, it was effective in making it boot up. Call it brute force if you will. I didn't really mind this issue because I was too busy with work in general and thought it might have been just caused by my UPS's battery dying which I can easily replace later. nonetheless, it was an effective way for making my PC turn on for a while (around 1-2 weeks). Until one day, it just wont power on anymore. At that point I realized that it was definitely a problem with my PC, as it still won't turn on when plugged directly to the wall. The first thing I (or anyone this case) would suspect to be the problem would be the PSU. I was using a Gigabyte P750GM (yes, the one that's known to explode, but it never exploded and never smelled like burnt electronics). So I ordered a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold GX850 as a replacement. So I installed the Seasonic PSU and to my surprise, my system still won't turn on as I spam the power button. I thought I might have been just unlucky and got a unit which was dead on arrival. I was lucky I was able to send it back. Alas I settled for a Corsair HX850 (the latest model I believe). So I installed the Corsair PSU and it STILL won't turn on. However, I did not spam the power button this time. I figured it was definitely some other hardware problem. After hours of tinkering. I found out that strangely, my PC turns on when my RTX 3070's power cables are removed. At that point I was convinced that my GPU was dead, but after trying it on my old 2015 PC, it would still turn on and run, and is detected correctly by windows. I need a GPU to make my newer PC work (because my CPU doesn't have an iGPU) so I tried plugging in my GTX 960 which I scavenged from my old system. The strangest thing is that my PC runs with the 960, but not when the 3070. It is still my current setup. Does this mean that my motherboard was the problem this whole time? Before I decide to buy a new motherboard, I would just like to ask your opinions if that would be the correct move to finally resolve everything. Why is it that my PC refuses to turn on with a 3070 but turns on with a 960? Things I've tried: - Tried using different power cables - Tried reseating RAM - Tried plugging the 3070 in the PCIe 3.0 slot - Cleaned the 3070 as well as my entire PC - Opened up PC case's power button and checked if it's working correctly Things I haven't tried: - Updating bios (I have little faith that this a firmware issue because the PC does not boot up in the first place. No fans spinning or signs of powering on if the 3070 is plugged in, and it was working well for a whole year prior to having these issues). Currently, I am still using the same PC but with the GTX960 installed. It has been working well and has no issues when gaming. Any knowledge / information regarding how this could be a motherboard issue (or if you have any other ideas) would be a great help. It would also help me decide whether to get a new motherboard or not.

Hello everyone, I have a bench with a core i5 13400 and a Rtx 3070 with a 850w PSU my problem is that the computer crashes( or at least restart by his own like if we pressed the reset button) it happens most of the time on game like war thunder, world of warship and far cry ( I’m surprise by the two first one but not by the last).Something interesting too it doesn’t crash with RDR2 in full and the temperatures don’t rise above 55°C even on load (stress tests have been made). So why does it crash/reboot? A mobo issue ? A PSU one or GPU? I’m lost I never seen that kind of issue before. Thanks for helping

I have a guy who wants to buy my GT 1030 for his Lenovo ThinkCentre. I went to his place and installed it, but it only showed a black screen. I couldn’t even get into BIOS when using the GT 1030 as a display and even when using the iGPU when the gt 1030 is still plugged in, the only way i could get into bios is by removing the GPU. I also changed the video priority in the bios to use PCIe, but it didn’t work. Are there any solutions for this? Is it incompatible ? I tried to install GT 1030 drivers on windows, but they couldn’t install because I guess the GPU is not being detected. It’s not showing on the task manager or on the device manager when I use the iGPU with the GPU installed on the PCIe slot.

Hello, I'm very stumped with this issue and would love it is someone else had some thoughts on it. I recently built a computer for my girlfriend using some new and old parts. I reused a PSU, ram and some storage. All of the parts reused where farmed from what was working HTPC. The issue: The computer randomly (independent of the task being run) will lose video output and then reboot. When this happens 5 beeps can be heard followed by pause and another beep(as the PC restarts). (see video) Things I've already checked myself : It's not a heat related issue as the issue still occurs when the PC is idle. I used to have a much newer 32gb of ram in this PC but I replaced them with the current 16gb ram to discard ram issues. Tried reseting the CPU as well. I've tried looking up what the beeps can mean but what I'm finding is pretty broad anything from CPU, PSU, GPU, RAM and Motherboard issues... I'm not a new building a PC from scratch, again. My gut tells me it may be the NVME that could be the issue (probably the oldest part) but I'd rather not replace it until I have some evidence to this being the issue. (money is tight at) I've tried running the windows built in drive test with no issues found. Here are the main parts: ASRock B450M STEEL LEGEND (reused) AMD Ryzen 7 5800x (new) GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING OC 16G (new) Corsair Vengeance RGB 16gb RAM (reused) EvGA 750w power supply(reused) VID_20231006_144157.mp4

Well, I have a gigabyte b50m ds3h rev 1.x, and I have noticed that the usb ports ''do not work'' I say this in quotes because first of all my mobo has 8 usb ports and my front panel has 2, now, my keyboard and mouse are plugged directly into the motherboard in the back, and my wifi adapter is in the first usb port on the front panel. the problem is that, for example, bluetooth adapters or usb flash drives do not work, and i said ''do not work'' because my mouse and keyboard work without apparent problem, but the other ports do not recognize the devices, in this case i wanted to plug a bluetooth adapter and it did not recognize it in any of the usb but only in the first port of the front panel (where my wifi adapter is), not even in the ports where apparently mouse and keyboard work, the only port that worked was the first port on the front panel but there is plugged my wifi (as mentioned above), another thing is that the second port on the front panel turns on and off only when I plug any usb input, I checked that windows power management thing but apparently nothing changes, maybe I did it wrong or I do not know, or could be the drivers? I don't have the slightest idea, please help These are my specs if it is useful.. Hi everyone! I purchased a Second hand Zotac Trinity OC RTX 3070 Ti for a 'good price'. At the spot everything was good, the box was clean, and the card looked brand new. After installing it and removing the 3060 Ti I previously had, I noticed that there was no noticeable improvement in some titles like Minecraft RTX (57avg.), GTAV (120fps avg.) Counter Strike 2 (180avg). Some games just became unplayable. Dirt 4 drops quickly from 80fps on the race preview to around 15fps on the starting line, Fortnite stutters more than ever and Control can barely reach 30fps. I haven't changed any settings from my previous card, that runs much better. My PC specs - Intel i5 10400f with OEM fan - Dell OEM RTX 3060 Ti (swapped for current RTX 3070 Ti) - Corsair vengeance 16gb RAM (2400Mhz increased to 2667 with XMP) - Asrock H510M-HDV/M.2 (Resizable Bar ON) - Kingston 480 GB SSD + Seagate 2 TB HHD + Seagate faster 500GB laptop HHD - Gigabyte P650B - Generic Mars Gaming case I ran the games at 1440p, mostly max settings (same as my 3060 Ti setup) I have tried reseating all the power cables and Ram, reinstalling and rolling back drivers, messing with MSI afterburner and Firestorm, but not much more. Is this a known issue and is there anything I can do? (apart from trying to return it, lol)). Thanks for your help Here are a couple of screenshots:

I recently bought my first WQHD monitor, it's connected to my computer via DisplayPort. I'm confused about the option to set resolutions higher than my monitor supports in Windows screen settings or games. This was not the case on my previous FHD monitor. When I choose for example 3840x2160 resolution, the image becomes blurry and the monitor frequency drops to 60Hz. How can I disable unnecessary screen resolutions so that they are not available for selection neither in windows nor in games? Is it just me or everyone who has a 1440P monitor?

Hey there! I hope you're all doing well and can lend me a hand with this little predicament I'm in. So, here's the deal: I've got this old but trusty first-gen Intel Core Toshiba Laptop that's giving me some trouble. It's refusing to turn on properly - the fans spin, but it won't boot up, and there's no video signal either. Here's the backstory: initially, it had this recurring issue where it would try to boot up, display a CMOS battery error on the first attempt, show the Windows logo briefly, reset itself, and then get stuck in a frustrating loop. To tackle the problem, I decided to experiment a bit. I swapped out the RAM modules with different ones, opened up the laptop, replaced the CMOS battery, gave it a fresh coat of thermal paste, and put everything back together. However, here's where things took a turn for the worse. After my tinkering session, the laptop no longer shows any video signal when I try to turn it on. It just spins the fan for a bit and then shuts down. Oh, the disappointment! As part of my troubleshooting, I even removed the CPU from its socket to see if another CPU I had would fit. Surprisingly, it did fit, but the internet tells me it's not compatible because it's socket 2. I didn't actually attempt to boot it up with that CPU, though. So, now I'm left wondering: did I accidentally break the CPU? Or maybe it's the motherboard that's giving me grief? Is there any way for me to figure out which component is causing the problem without having to fork out cash for a new CPU? Any assistance and advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated, my friendly tech-savvy pals! Thanks a bunch!

Hello, As the title says, I've recently built a new PC, this is my second time building my own pc from scratch and the first time went flawlessly, however this time I can't get it to POST. All lights turn on and all fans are spinning, but the GPU fans stop spinning once the VGA light goes on. The specs are: Ryzen 5 7600X ASRock B650M pro RS Gigabyte aero RTX 4060 ti 750W gigabyte PSU 2x 16GB DDR5 G-skill Ram Lian Li 240mm AIO 2 TB Kingston m.2 NVME I've tried reseating all parts, and cables, multiple times Only 1 ram stick at a time, in multiple different slots A different GPU Resetting CMOS Different MOBO Any help would be appreciated

Hopefully someone can help me and find a solution. I have an ASUS X571GT laptop. When I purchased it, it comes with an Intel 660p nvme ssd. I bought a western digital SN550 1TB nvme ssd to replace it. After installing the ns550, I can't seem to boot, or access the BIOS (F2) or boot to a usb windows installer. I'm stuck at an ASUS logo and the only key that is working is the power button which shuts down the laptop. I have tried installing the latest bios version (306) as well as all the older bios version and try booting with the sn550, but still the same issue. My laptop supports pcie gen3x2 ssd, although the sn550 is gen3x4, it is backward compatible with gen3x2 as it says in its spec sheet. And its nvme standard and m.2 socket so there should be no problem right? I'm still waiting for asus support reply via email but im hoping someone has experiened or idea on how to resolve this. https://www.asus.com/ph/Laptops/ASUS-Laptop-X571GT/ https://laptopmedia.com/review/asus-vivobook-k571-x571-review-something-new-that-needs-a-little-retouch/

I have a samsung un55ks8000f that is giving me an issue with the screen. Is it the lcd or one of the boards on the back? I was thinking about repair as long as it isn't the screen itself. The issue (see attached) seems to go away for a while when unplugging and holding power button but eventually comes back gradually. No obvious issues with boards inside Any advice or just telling me it's junk would be appreciated! Thanks! 20230817_195003.mp4

I'm using the included stand on a sturdy desk. It started occasionally making little crinkly noises, quieter than a bowl of Rice Krispies. I figured it was just thermal expansion. It popped while I was typing an email. There is nothing under it, behind it, on top, and nothing hit it. I have a Samsung warranty ticket, but it's going to take two weeks before the 3rd party service tech can see if it's worth fixing. Get the extra warranty.

So today I encountered a problem with my PC, I decided to turn it on and I noticed that one of my drives were missing. I checked File Explorer, Disk Management, Device Manager, I don't see my drive at all. Weirdly enough, when I try to look at my BIOS, I see the drive is there and detected. Same as Intel Rapid Storage Technology app, it detected the drive. It's an old Seagate 500GB drive with quite a lot of important stuff and I haven't backed it up in a while. I've tried swapping SATA cables & ports and it's still not detected by Windows. The other 2 drives that I got are perfectly fine so I'm not sure what's wrong. Yesterday was fine too, I was able to use my PC normally and I didn't hear anything bad coming from the drive. It did make a few clicks when I boot it up so maybe it's dying? Anyone can help figuring this out? Thanks!

Hey all, I have recently purchased the ASUS ROG STRIX G18 that I have since upgraded with 4tb storage and 32GB ram. Now I run into a weird issue when playing demanding games for example cyberpunk 2077 where the laptop just powers off in certain spots in the game. Essentially when I am running around in the game there is a sudden power off and when I restart and load back in it crashes at the same spot again. I would say running around randomly after about a minute this happens. What I figured was that this is some kind of a thermal issue as I had upgraded the laptop and maybe I messed something up, but when running hwinfo64 on a second monitor the temps seem fine? Another thing I tried was the aida64 system stability benchmark thing and also starting furmark at the same time so that my components would be at 100% and no power off occurred. Soo I am at a loss at the moment, I couldn't find any log files or anything in the windows event viewer that would point to a software issue either, oh also: in hwinfo the power consumption also seemed fine. One possibility I guess is that furmark doesn't really load up the rt cores and is overall not that demanding? When I reached out to support they basically told me to reinstall the system which to be honest I am not too keen on especially because I don't even know if the problem is some kind of software issue or not. Basically I am looking for any and all troubleshooting tips or similar Thanks!

Hi all! This might be something that you've all seen before, but I couldn't find a fix online until I found it myself by messing around. If you are on Windows 11 and have Taskbar Autohide enabled, you might have experienced the issue where when you get notifications (looking at you MS Teams, etc), the taskbar shows up, and does not autohide again until you press the windows key or do something else. Here is the simple fix: Settings - Personalization - Taskbar - Taskbar behaviors (dropdown) - Unselect: "Show flashing on taskbar apps" (See image) Hope this helps you guys! If this doesn't fix it for you, please let me know. Cheers. NB

Hello. I just got a Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 today, but it seems like there's an issue with it that I haven't been able to solve yet. When displaying some content, there are thin bars that rapidly appear and disappear. Sometime's they're just dim, and sometimes they almost look oversaturated. I have attached a video to this post demonstrating what I'm talking about. I have noticed this issue while watching YouTube videos from DougDoug, North of the Border, and Hardware Unboxed. The issue was present in all three. I can also see this issue while playing videogames. I have observed it in Hunt Showdown and Halo Infinite. I have tried toggling each setting in my monitor's OSD, and even fiddling with the Display settings in Windows. It's also worth noting that I've tried five different DP cables, and four different HDMI cables that have been verified to work on other displays without this issue. 20230720_161024.mp4

Hello Ltt community I have a problem with my samsung galaxy buds pro charging. So I had this buds for over 2 years and they have been really good to me and served me well. But recenetly in last 3 days they don't charge. Case charges normaly and has green light when its open and closed but when I put buds in, they aren't charging and the inner light that indicates that they charge is not on when I put them in. So I am guessing that meaby some sort of issue is in conection betwen buds and case? I saw some people on the net using WD40 to lube small golden pads that go down when you put them in. Sadly now I am curently on vecation and I can't really do anything about this in a large matter. Did any one of you guys have this problem? How do I fix this? Please let me know, so that after I get back from my vecation I can try to fix them. I will be really sad if they basicly die now after 2 years, they still had a good batery and everything. I know that I can use them for at least 2 more years if I can fix this.

Hello Guys, this will be an somewhat long story but hopefully someone is reading it and has some good advice. The main issue is that my GTX1080 does not output to Displayport after an cold boot. I have 3 monitors connected to it via HDMI, DVI and Displayport. HDMI and DVI work just fine but Displayport shows no signal after cold boot, if i restart after the cold boot the DP monitor gets picked up and works just fine. Lets move on to the symptoms and configuration i use: GPU: Gigabyte GTX1080 GV-N1080xtreme 8GD-PP CPU: i7-6700K @4,5GHz Mobo: Asrock Z170 Xtreme 6 RAM: 32 GB G-Skill Ripjaws V (4 Modules) @3200MHz SSD: Samsung 960 Pro 500GBAnd some other SSD and HDD for Storage and stuff OS: Windows 10 latest version The system did work fine for the last few years, lately I was messing around with OC and the iGPU from the i7. Did connect the outer 2 monitors (HDMI and DVI) to the iGPU. Everything worked fine and ones of a sudden the issue appeared. Now it dosent mather if I enable or disable the iGPU the DP monitor hooked up to the 1080 is not recognized after cold boot. Interesting thing is that the monitor (DP one) wakes up on cold boot but then wents back to no signal. Also back in windows MSI Afterburner for example does not recognize the GPU and shows 0 for Clockspeed and so on (only after restarting Afterburner it shows correct numbers). What I did try so far: Reinstall Windows completly Reinstall GPU driver Flash GPU BIOS Clear CMOS Revert BIOS to default Dial back any OC i had Swap DP Port on the GPU Try to restart GPU driver in Windows with STRG+Windows+Shift+B None of the above changed anything. The next things I will try now is to switch to the second BIOS chip on the Mainboard and maybe clear everything by clear CMOS and removing the BIOS Battery. Searched the Internet for possible solution and some people seem to have this issue with different GPU´s also from older series. None of the people on the internet seemed to fix it so far... Would be very thankful for any advice you have on how to maybe fix this. If you need any other information just let me know. Cheers
