Planning to build a Ryzen Rig. I'm thinking of Ryzen 5 but Is the extra price for Ryzen 7 worth it. Need build advise. Thanks! It will be mostly used in video editing , programming and some moba at a 1080p monitor. I don't want to spend too much on gpu, what's the CPU with the best integrated graphics right now?

So first off thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully help me out. I have a 3-display setup with 2 of the display running off the 1080ti dedicated card while one of them is running through VGA on the motherboard. I have just recently activated integrated graphics and that was about when my problem started. Everything starts getting a bit laggy and most notable on websites like YouTube. So lets say if I'm watching a 1080p 60hz video on YT, if I watched it through my main 144hz monitor everything is fine. But if I run it on one of the either two screens, everything starts to lag and sometimes the video just stucks at a frame until everything gets stable. I am running a 300mbps internet so definitely loading wasn't an issue. But the lagging got so bad that even a big chunk of the video is loaded, the spinning wheel will appear and seems to be loading when the video has already loaded! Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is it possible to overclock the Intel iris pro 550 graphics in the MacBook Pro 2016 13inch with touchbar? If it is I'll probably undervolt and liquid metal it so I'll have a decent gaming experience. Also, does undervolting increase battery life and can I undervolt the iGPU. I'm happy to use bootcamp as I'll only play games in bootcamp. I have a seperate gaming PC but when in out and about it would be good to get some extra Performancd out of my 1300$.

I have an older computer that I want to upgrade so that I can play a few basic games with my friends who have moved on to PC gaming. I am not looking for anything spectacular, but I have an HP machine with a Q67 chipset and an Intel Core i7-2600S 2.8GHz quad-core processor that is currently running integrated graphics. I have done some research and I am looking at upgrading to something along the lines of the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 2G OC because of case size limitations (and I don't mind that I can get away without having to upgrade my PSU as well). I am just looking for some validation that these components will be compatible and any complications that I may run into along the way (I have no experience doing any hardware upgrades previously). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I'm currently trying to set the integrated "HD-Grafik 4600" of my CPU (i5-4670K) as energy saving GPU within the Windows 10 graphic settings. But for some reason only the dedicated GPU is showing up. Could be the age of the CPU the reason for not supporting being used while a dGPU is installed? Attached is a screenshot of the graphic settings window:

I have a Gigabyte Aero 15x laptop with a i7 8750H and a GTX 1070 Max Q. In game I've noticed recently my framerate drops to ~30fps after I drop the resolution to 720p. Before I was able to hit ~120+ fps at 1080p. I checked task manager and it shows near 100% utilization of the intel graphics and barely 10-20% of the 1070. I tried reinstalling the drivers (with and without ddu) and also set the graphics card in nvidia control panel to the high performance 1070 both globally and specifically for the games I play and now I'm getting ~60fps at 1080p when before I got closer to double. Resource monitors show the intel graphics still has high utilization and the nvidia gpu having ~50% utilization. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

My laptop has an Intel Core i5-3210m with 8gb of System RAM My computer has an integrated HD 4000 graphics and it also has a discrete AMD Radeon HD 7600m GPU each of them has 2gb VRAM. My computer is an HP Pavilion G6-2276sx It has the latest version of windows and drivers, my problem is why does my system perform minimally in games even though switchable graphics is turned on in the Graphics settings on windows and on the AMD Catalyst Settings? and in addition, my GPU is not accessible entirely. Using GPU UserBenchmarks it said that my discrete GPU was inaccessible. In games, I knew that the Intel Graphics was only working because it is terrible. Is it because my Windows is in UEFI Mode even though my GPU doesn't support UEFI? Or because I just need to replace my drivers with old ones from the manufacturer so it has better compatibility? ( I don't want to change any drivers yet because AMD latest drivers are a pain in the ass to find because my card is relatively old and because its drivers is only available on Windows 8, not 8.1 and that's too old) Or something could be wrong in my settings?

Not long ago i bought a i5-4590. When i installed it, it booted up and worked fine on integrated graphics until you try to load a game. At first i though it was a software problem. After some digging it turns out to be a broken motherboard pin, but it still booted normally. So i decided to put it under a stress test and when put under a CPU stress test it work fine, but when put under a GPU stress test for integrated graphics it would crash. So i was wondering if there is such a thing as integrated graphics power pin. Since i'm on a thigh budget do i need to buy a new motherboard or i can just buy a dedicated GPU to avoid this problem (Not to put the integrated graphics under stress, since the CPU doesn't crash).Motherboard : Asrock h81m-vg4CPU: i5-4590 ( running on Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics)Thanks, Inforcee

I thought my stuff was dead a few times through my build. cpu once, so heres some igpu hints for anyone else. - TV/monitor sees the pc/hdmi but no picture 1. Bad hdmi in middle/bent. move the cable around and try another if possible. - it posted once now 00 error -loose cpu power cord. check the connections. - if not 00 but posted then didn't may be loose other that keeps it from powering on. power off the pc, unplug, then pust the connectiond make sure theyre in well. - Just wont post. even tho all components are in, and staying on. . -This part is igpu spasific. - Before you turn the pc on, make sure the monitor is on, and ON the correct source or it wont post. if it nooed to be on to swap to source, well swap to turn off pc then on, and there you go. -I honestly thought my cpu died while building my rig. well it wasn't so hope this helps. oh, abd on thet hdmi bent in middle/cable part, can cause no sound too.

Laptop WILL NOT switch to discrete graphics
ASWprime posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'm having this issue with my laptop. Its a Lenovo Thinkpad E480, within it there is a discrete Radeon RX550 that I cannot use at all, every program (be they a game or otherwise) uses the integrated graphics on the I7-8550U. Here is a list of troubleshooting steps that I have taken: - Reinstalled Radeon graphics drivers - Set custom profiles for programs in the Radeon control panel - Switched laptop to high-performance mode - Disabled Intel graphics from device manager - Went into the bios to see if there was some sort of graphics option but there was not - Scoured the the Intel control panel for a solution only to find nothing If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it and thank you in advance.- 3 replies

Since my GPU only has 1 hdmi port I want to temporarily put my main output via the motherboard for integrated graphics and put my VR headset via my 1070. I have an aorus motherboard and when I plug the HDMI cable into my motherboard there is no output. would I need to enable this from somewhere? I have tried going into BIOS and did not see an option for this

I recently just built a computer with a RTX 2070, i7 9700k, and 32 GB of ram and I have some old monitors that I was not using and decided to make a set up where I had 5 monitors. However the RTX 2070 only supports 4 monitors at once so I went into the bios an enabled the integrated graphics on the i7 9700k and I was wondering if this will decrease performance of the processor. I could put it in a old graphics card, but it ruins the look inside the case. Does anyone know if enabling integrated graphics on a i7 9700k would decrease performance of the processor. I am not gaming on that monitor just using it to power the monitor and for google chrome. Thanks for any reply.

Hello there, I'm planning to build/upgrade a PC for my parents. Currently they are using my old PC which died yesterday. Current build is: CPU: Intel i5-3570k CPU Cooler: Alpenföhn Matterhorn Mainboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3 RAM: 2*4 GB Kingston HyperX blu. 1600Mhz Storage: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB , 1 TB HDD (don't know which) PSU: Thermaltake Hamburg 530W Case: CoolerMaster 690 II ATX They want to use their system only for Office, Internet, Solitair and maybe light photo editing. So, after my father told me that his PC doesnt work anymore I tried a different PSU to start it, but it wouldnt start, so I suppose the mainboard died. Now I'm trying to switch out mainboard, cpu and ram for the system to run again. I know the PSU is overkill but I don't plan on buying a different since I already have this one. Can somebody recommend a new setup (probably AMD) with integrated graphics for this light use? (will be only one 22" monitor @ 1080p. Also a smaller case would be nice Location is Germany and the pricing should be max 300 € I want to keep SSD, HDD and DVD-drive in there aswell Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm wondering if a 2400g will suffice for a stream PC. I've looked around and it seems that because of how OBS works, an integrated graphics solution like Intel Integrated Graphics won't suffice and an external GPU is needed. Albeit something simple like a gtx 1030 would suffice. What I want to do is have a small form factor PC in the Mini-ITX format to act as a stream PC and also my auxiliary PC that I can carry around with me when I travel home so I will have a decently capable machine of playing some games. I also want to push my streams at 720p 60fps at about ~4000 kbps without resorting to the "super fast" preset on OBS. Because of the form factor limitation of Mini-ITX where there is only 1 PCI-E slot and my capture card takes up a PCI slot, I won't have room for an external graphics card and would have to resort to Micro-ATX which wouldn't be as fun as an idea as a Mini-ITX machine. So will the 2400g 1) be enough to accomplish the stream encode goals I want? and 2) be able to handle OBS and other games (like League of Legends and Fortnite)? Also is there another solution that i'm not thinking of? I really want something Small Form Factor. My current PC for stream capture is running an AMD Athlon x6 1100t , 4gb ddr3 ram, some radeon graphics card and OBS sometimes drops frames and usually maxes out CPU usage. I am currently using SLOBS (StreamLabs OBS) instead of just OBS due to some usage improvements

Hi. My name is Tudor.I use a prebuilt system which i got in the "mining crisis" (brand new) for 1000$ (specs down below). Recently, I wanted to start streaming. For that, I decided to use Intel Quicksync as encoder. I suddenly realized that the integrated gpu is "hidden" in device manager because it is "not connected to the computer". I've searched the BIOS/UEFI (I've also updated the BIOS but still no integrated gpu option appears) and there was no option to use both gpu's. The only way in which the integrated gpu works is when I unplug the dedicated graphics. Is there anyway to use both? Is it caused by a jumper on the motheboard? P.S. : I also tried booting on the integrated gpu. Only works if the dedicated GPU is swapped out of the PC. Also, if you want to see a picture of the motherboard you can see it at page 32 out of 67. https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1036256286.pdf I have a Lenovo Y710-15ish Cube with 16GB Samsung Ram at 2133 MHZ, and i7-6700 3.4ghz which always runs at 3.9ghz (due to intel turbo boost), a 1TB SATA 3 HDD from Seagate (st1000dm003-1sb102) and I have a GTX 1080 8 GB VRAM. As I've done some research I found that the MotherBoard is a model 364A made by Lenovo, with a H170 chipset. I have also the latest BIOS Version (O2DKT23A). Secure Boot is on. I run Windows 10 Pro 64-bits. System Model 90FL005XRI. I have the latest drivers installed. I use two monitors, a Samsung TV UE32J5200 (32" display) at 1920x1080 (16:9) and a BenQ E910 (19" display) at 1280x1024 (5:4).

Hi Eveyrone I am currently building a system and I am uncertain as to which CPU to choose. The system will be used for office, internet browsing and basic photo editing, not using Photoshop. I am uncertain as to whether to go with a Ryzen APU or an Intel CPU and which specific version of CPU to go for as well, as there is the potential for the photo editing software used to get more intensive later on, in terms of better software being used. There has been a request to not have a GPU in the system. Thank you for your time and i hope you all have a wonderful day! :D

I am trying to use a secondary 4k display with my laptop. By default the laptop uses the intel integrated graphics, which is not powerfull enough to even play a yt video upscaled to 4k. Luckily howerver my pc also has a gtx1050. Does anyone know of a way to always use the dedicated GPU for the external display? I have tryed ajusting the bios, but i haven't found an option for only using the dedicated GPU.

I've been doing some research and I recently stumbled upon a video about integrated graphics (several actually) and I realized it is very possible to get 30-60fps on them. So, I was curious. What could you do gaming on a i5 2410m with its integrated graphics 3000 with 650mhz base and 1.20ghz dynamic.

What's up forum, as the title states, my laptop is defaulting to using it's integrated graphics. It just started to do this out of nowhere after turning on my laptop. The GPU is being detected but not used. I tried alot of the stuff i already found on google to no avail. Reinstalling my NVIDIA drivers, disabling the integrated graphics (albeit only in the windows settings, not in my BIOS. too afraid to try that until i make sure it won't mess everything up and i don't trust youtube gurus to that extent.), you name it. Any and all help is appreciated.
