Sorry for being so 20th century but this was a question that exist even now. Being an Expat from India in Saudi Arabia I am constantly asked by friends and family to buy electronics from Saudi even though the same product is available in India. It is believed that electronics items bought from Saudi Arabia has better quality than that from India. So does quality of product, lets say a Gaming Laptop, varies with location of purchase? I just wanted to straighten up my facts before I decline to do their shopping.

I need a computer for my employee who would be working on SolidWorks designs of Furniture and Interior at basic level and would not be needing any crazy rendering or simulations. I still need to know what I should go for, Laptop/Desktop, though I know I would be getting max price/performance on desktop, my preference would be a laptop since my work-space and condition won't allow it, and the employee may also need to work on-the-go. Note: It needs to be durable and reliable enough in dusty conditions and no thermal issues is the utmost priority.

Hey, I have been thinking of building a cheap gaming pc. I watched a few videos of $500 gaming build and decided to go with ryzen 3 1200 build , but I live in INDIA. The build that costs 500$ in US costs about 1k$ in India. Then I watched a few videos about cheap gaming pc in India and decided to go with a Intel Pentium g4560 build which was in my budget. But some reviews about g4560 say it is only good for gaming and nothing else like editing etc and would be outdated very fast . Now I want to know that which build is good a g4560 or ryzen 3. KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU MENTION THE PARTS FROM Amazon.in ONLY. ALSO IF A RYZEN BUILD, I WOULD PREFER OVERCLOCKABLE ONE IF IS SOMEWHAT IN BUDGET. Thanks for the replies in advance .

Further huge drops in value for cryptos: This year didn't start well for Bitcoin, with a drop in value of almost 45% since January 5th, equivalent to $133billion (1) and other cryptos were hit similarily, losing 8-15% over the last 24 hours (2). But despite this volatility, every day more and more companies accept cryptocurrencies, from bookstores to Subway (3) and other major players like UPS might want to get in as well (4). Crypto: Economy and politics: All the while, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier warns the financial sector, saying "When I look at the price developement of cryptocurrencies, I don' see a currency, I see gambling", remembering the last financial crisis (5) and Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told lawmakers that India doesn't recognize cryptos as a legal currency and wants to ban payments (6). After Bloomber falsely reported that ENEL, one of Europes biggest suppliers of electrical power and gas, wanted to supply miners with electricity. A day later, the company stated that they refuse to supply miners because "The intensive use of energy dedicated to cryptocurrency mining [is] an unsustainable practice that does not fit with the business model it is pursuing" (7&8). The future, as predicted today: There's still a huge disagreement over the future of cryptos and especially Bitcoin. Banks and "traditional" financial experts, including the Deutsche Bank which might have learned from its gigantic fuck ups over the years and is considered as one of the world's most dangerous banks (9), continue to warn the public about the volatility of the crypto market (10). In the meantime, investors hope for a turn around of the price developement and analysists predict Bitcoin to become mainstream and will hit “around $30,000-$35,000 this year” (11). What will the future look like for gamers and PC enthusiast? These are just my personal thoughts on what might come. Many of us are anticipating the release of Volta gaming cards (12). I hope Nvidia and the PCB manufactures will ramp up their production to combat the huge demand for GPUs. Once these hit the market, older cards like the 900 series will propably be sold first, so if you're on a budget, you might want to look out fore some cheap 980Tis and the demand for Pascal GPUs will sink a little bit, bringing the prices down to a reasonable level again. With the faster and faster rising difficulty of mining cryptocurrencies, the one for BTC doubled since October 2017 (13), manufactures will have to keep an eye on RMAs because the obviously don't want to see their warehouses fill up with cards after they become unprofitable for miners, which might result in stricter RMA policies that hurt regular consumers. Let me know if you liked this quick summary of this weeks news on cryptocurrencies, I'm thinking about making a series out of this. 1: https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-sinks-below-10k-following-133-billion-january-loss/ 2: https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/01/why-is-bitcoins-price-down/ 3: https://99bitcoins.com/who-accepts-bitcoins-payment-companies-stores-take-bitcoins/ 4: https://www.coindesk.com/ups-might-making-locker-accepts-bitcoin/ 5: https://www.welt.de/wirtschaft/article173116660/Frank-Walter-Steinmeier-Bundespraesident-warnt-vor-Bitcoin-und-Finanzmagie.html 6: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-01/india-to-curb-cryptocurrency-use-while-embracing-blockchain 7: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-30/enel-is-said-to-be-in-talks-to-sell-power-to-digital-coin-miner 8: https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/913265/Enel-mining-cryptocurrencies-China-Canada-India-Envion-AG-Endesa 9: http://www.faz.net/aktuell/wirtschaft/unternehmen/finanzkrise-der-irrtum-der-deutschen-bank-14461287.html 10: http://www.smh.com.au/business/markets/deutsche-bank-says-investing-in-bitcoin-could-lead-to-total-loss-20180129-h0qa7p.html 11: https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/913268/bitcoin-price-news-ripple-ethereum-blockchain-cryptocurrency-latest-crash 12: https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/nvidia-volta-gpu-specifications 13: https://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/bitcoin-difficulty-chart

Hello, I am planning on building a hybrid pc for gaming/productivity. I want you guys to help me with a build guide. Though I will be using this system for blender and unreal engine, for mobile game development and not for 3d animation movie or designing in any autodesk application (maybe will use Maya not sure ) so please don't suggest xeon and quadro/firepro. Since I live in India, the difference in pricing will be from min. $20 - max $150 depending on the component. I am planning for an i5 but the min. cost of i5-6600K in India is $270(found this price in the darkest corner of Indian Market ) and GTX 1070 costs $560(Same Place). Now the problem is I have a limited budget of $1300-$1400, and each component I buy here will cost $40-$50 avg. more compare to US pricing. Please Suggest a build and also answer these: Q1. Should I wait and get GTX 1060, save money and get more storage, swag stuffs? Q2. Get i5 6600 and pair it with B150 chipset mobo, save money here and there to get gtx 1070? Q3. Getting K processor pairing it with B150 or H170 is a good idea(probably not but still worth a try? also how much of a diff. is their in B150/H170/Z170 mobos) ? Other Info: Don't suggest FX processor because they are really old and FX8370 cost same as i5-6600K. Amd RX 480 is an option I can go for but hate to say any amd product in India is way overpriced($400, that's way intel/nvidia provide's good value). Xeon build can work but only if they are old gen. also there is no guarantee that I can get it in here or not. I don't want buy online and ship it to my country because of the damage risk, custom issues etc. Hope you guys come up with a build guide for me(sorry in advance if its a pain since the price difference is really weird ). Also does having more Cuda cores means better performance in rendering in blender/UE etc?

So according to Android Authority, the Freedom 251 by Ringing Bells is sketchy as hell (yes thats a link to their article). Anyway, if all this turns out to be true then Ringing Bells will have a lot to answer for but its questionable at most. I mean, whiteout? Read a little more into the article, apparently AdCom is looking into the matter with the "Freedom 251". Personally, under $4 US is still a very enticing offer for lots of people but it seemed too good to be true.

hello everyone, i am planning to build a pc(thanks to LTT) as my current pc is kind of slow and was a pre-build. so i want something just perfect for myself. i live in India and this is important since not all components are available here and prices also varies a lot. the currency is INR. please give a few options as some may not be available here. my purpose is a gaming pc which can handle games such as Batman Arkham Knight, nfs games, COD titles, etc at high settings. my current focus is on the rig not peripherals. budget is around 700 to 800 usd, inr 50k to 60k i am planning for intel i5 6600/6600k; nvidia gtx 750ti(by asus); z170 motherboard probably from asus as well. i currently have one monitor and will have at most 2 1080p. it would be better to have a window case, i am not upgrading my hdd and will add 256gb ssd so give some suggestions on that as well. and accordingly a good pso for these components with some room for upgrades. also i am not planning to have dual graphics card so no sli. pls give a few alternatives for each component for availability and if possible visit these sites which are the major sellers of pc components in india and list the parts link or cost. thank you all for any help you provid http://amazon.in fhttp://flipkart.com

Cheapest Smartphone in the World! Ringing Bells is an Indian company (Noida) had announced earlier that a Smartphone will be released on 17/02/2016 which will be priced under ₹ 500. Earlier today the company said that the phone will be priced at ₹ 251 ($3.6) only. Ofcourse, unlocked! The website also lists important specifications of the Freedom 251: 4-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB), 3.2-megapixel back camera, 0.3-megapixel front camera, a 1450mAh battery and it runs Android Lollipop 5.1. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS, while color options include white. Not bad for a $3.6 smartphone. I'm damn sure that this is the cheapest Android Smartphone in the world. Not sure how this is cheap. But they said they're working closely with government to make this happen. I think this is a good start for "Digital India" campaign. Product Images: Source: Freedom251, Gadgets NDTV. Source: Gadgets NDTV, Freedom251.
