Here are my specs first (please don`t judge my rig): Asrock 980 DE3/U3S3 ddr3 am3+ 4X ddr3 Gskill ripjaws with 2 gigs each AMD Athlon II X3 450 with 3 cores (each one has 3.2 GHZ, i think) Nvidia geforce 210 1 GB i know, my rig is trash, so i will upgrade to an AMD fx 8350 and a Sapphire rx 550 with 4 gigs of vram but i only have money for one of them i don`t stream but i make youtube vids, well, i would like to but a geforce 210 isn´t the best choice for that. i play a lot of games like tomb raider, gta 4 and eflc, gta5, Ace combat, NFS Payback, etc. but i really don`t know which one to upgrade first so please help me

My PC Specs: I5-2400 Gainward GTX 670 2gb phantom eddition MSI B150/M MONO 1×8gig ddr3 1×4gig ddr3 (yes 4 gigs is in dual channel lol) 1× 1tb 7200rpm did 1× 500gig 5400rpm 650 watt psu ( think its an old cooler master) Windows 10 64bit Ok so first of all I have 2 i5-2400 processors, my cpu was overheating so i applied new thermal paste, it still overheated in the 90's (celsius) so i got a new cpu cooler( which soved the overheating problem), but the pc wouldn't boot, i swapped the processor jst to be safe and still nothing, so after countless troubleshooting methods, what I've done: Reset cmos. Remove ram. Make sure all connections are in. After swapping my gpu with a small GeForce 210 it seemed to work, so i first suspected the go i was broken, then i decided to test my brothers Radeon HD 7970, its pretty beefy, requires 2×6pins and a 2 pin, and although it's fan is broken the go i still ran on my brothers pc about 2 months ago , it jst overheard under load and shuts down, but for some reason it wasnt working in my rig, i suspect it is the power supply( it makes this weird clicking sound when i plug in from the wall socket) plz help , i am going to test my cpu in a friends pc today after varsity.

So over the summer of last year, I bought a prebuilt and now I am really regretting it wishing I built my own. Anyways I'm trying to find out what the best CPU and Ram I can get for it is. The mobo is an Odense-2k. I know the specs say for the CPU the best I could get is the i7-7700 but I was wondering if I could get the i7-7700K instead and everything works fine. Then for the ram, I was wondering if I could get one with faster clock speed and it works fine, so that way if I get a new mobo in the future I already have the faster ram and don't have to buy some again Mother Board - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05355651

TLDR- I was duel booting Lenix and windows. Stopped working. Is broke. Tried to delete Linux partition. Worked fine. I spent like four hours playing Skyrim. Turned off computer turned on next day. Not working. Please help. Detailed explanation below Please help me. I have been dual booting a Linux distro for about two years aside my windows. Recently it stopped working but I had a boot loader that would come up and allow me to choose whether I wanted to boot into the partition on my computer that had windows or the one that had Linux. Because this was very annoying especially considering I could not use the Linux anyway I deleted its partition in windows using disk manager. I turned off my computer and the grub rescue terminal came up next time I turned it on. I have come to understand that this is the standard occurrence after deleting the Linux partition. However after several attempts to boot to windows through this I eventually acquiesced and created a recovery drive using my laptop. Following this I plugged in the USB drive and put it to it. I then tried using the command prompt to restore the boot loader on my previous Windows disk. However when I would attempt to use the/boot command it would always say access denied.. after this I search several forums and tried just about every alternate solution and regardless of what I did I always ended up getting access denied. after this I simply exited the command terminal and tried restoring from an alternate point. I’m doing this after about 10 minutes I got a message that the restoration had failed so I exited the window. However the moment I closed the window, windows simply booted up As it normally would, with all my data there. While I am very happy that windows is Working and everything appears to be working normally I am quite confused. First of all what happened that allowed windows to boot after all other solutions had failed and the system told me that my recovery from an alternate point had failed? Second of all what can I do in order to ensure that this does not happen again. I am honestly on the verge of just buying an SSD saving all my important information to a flash drive screenshotting my Skyrim mods list and just kind of starting over again. However I’d rather not do that. So if the forum has a Simpler solution I would love to hear it.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING. This would be my more expensive version... https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Spainz/saved/#view=zZJnLk This would be my less expensive version https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Spainz/saved/#view=tRKqpg Here are some limitations that I MUST MEET in the order of importance, top being most: Must be Wifi AC not ethernet motherboard, as I have no ethernet wall plug in my room, and the wifi must go through 1 floor and multiple dry-walls. I expect a VERY GOOD cooling system (I don't wan't to dive into water cooling as I'll be assembling this thing form hell). Have great audio as I will be playing (rn exclusively) Escape From Tarkov, a game known for it's directional and distance specific audio. The power supply should be adequate (note: I have no idea about electricity). Dust in my room is a concern... but cooling must come first. I do not plan nor do I intend to overclock, though I'm curious as to what Boost is. Basically, I know I over-qualify with these above builds for Escape From Tarkov. That is fine. But I need to know not only if each component is compatible and works with each part it connects or interacts with, I also need to know... lol, will it fit in the case? Y'all are better are mapping this stuff out in your heads then I am. Additionally, If I am missing any important part of a PC tower that I need to game, let me know. Such as an audio card... though I was informed by a friend that doesn't really matter these days?

Hey everyone. My brother has asked me to put together a PC for him to do his video editing and music production for him. He does not do any 3D rendering, or really much VFX stuff, and he isn't working with anything more than 4k. For music production, he could have anywhere from 20-30 plugins and as many as 50 channels for a project. Now the music side of things I know and can build around that, but I don't know much about video production (he uses Adobe Premier, by the way). For Premier, what have you found to be the best options for GPU/CPU combos? I have seen a lot that Premier really likes Nvidia and their CUDA cores and doesn't play well with AMD. So I'm at that point now. I've attached a potential build list for what I have come up with, but wondering if anyone could give any more insight into best options for the best price. (Looking to stay under $2500). My biggest question really is if it will be more beneficial to have dual smaller GPUs (1660 SUPERS, giving a total of 12GB VRAM) or a single beefier GPU (2070ti or 2080, probably)? If the files don't load properly, here is the build: MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO w/ DDR4-2666, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit LAN, CrossFire CPU: Ryzen™ 7 3800X Processor, 3.9GHz w/ 40MB Cache RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB DDR4 2666MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit (4x 16GB), Black Storage: 860 EVO 2.5" SATA III 2.5in SSD, 250GB + BarraCuda 3.5in SATA III HDD w/ 256MB Cache, 2TB PSU: Toughpower Grand RGB Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Gold, 850W GPU: ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER Advanced Edition 6GB PCI-E w/ Dual HDMI, Dual DP X2 TOTAL: $1994.91 pre-tax. OR have two sets of Viper RGB 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit (2x 8GB), Black for 32GB of RAM to save a little money. Kelly build 32.pdf Kelly Build 64 CORRECT.pdf

When I play any game, my PC will crash. I ran 3D Mark for an hour and it came out fine. When I play without my graphics card everything works fine. In Battlefield 1 I can hear the music when it crashes In totally accurate battlegrounds I hear static In left for dead I hear nothing sometimes it will just crash when not playing games but it's only happened once My PC specs are: i3 6100 rx 470 xfx dual fan 700 watt evga bronze rated psu MSI Z170a gaming m5 8 gb ram sandisk 240gb ssd The following error codes occurred about the same time when the PC crashed: 7024( EQU8_tabg2 %%478281728 45005100550038005F00740061006200670032000000 ) 7030 1 8198 1014 multiple times 8200 multiple times 1005 1001 I tried reinstalling windows on a new drive, reinstalling graphics drivers, and plugging into a different outlet. Windows is up to date. I attached the AMD problem report wizard report files. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for your help in advance! amdprwreport.xml amdprwreport.xml.xsl

Hello guys, As the title says, i need help picking my new laptop. There are a few problems. First of all my knowledge of laptop GPU's/CPU's isn't so great, second is that prices for technology in my country are crazy ( for reference iPhone Xs Max 512GB here costs 1915 euros ). I plan to use this laptop for gaming, drawing in Photoshop and Illustrator and running some other programs that are similarly demanding. And ,so you know, when i say gaming i don't mean running the latest AAA games on ultra, far from it. My PC has an i5 6500, GeForce GT 740 (2GB) and 8 GB of RAM, and its capable of pretty much what i need ( could use a better GPU tbh). Ive attached an image of CPU's and GPU's that are in the laptops that i can afford, and i would like you to help me with what good for me. I know the 1050 is the best (and i would LOVE to get it) , however i'm not sure that i will be able to afford laptops with it :/ P.S. The "benchmark" in the photo is the scores form passmark.com, since i didn't know how else to compare. And some specs might not be right since shops in my country aren't the best and writing them down. Sorry for the long story. =)

Hello. I'm thinking of buying a Oculus rift with the controllers and two sensors. But I'm not sure if my PC is good enough. I have a GTX 1070TI, Intel Core I5 8600K 3.60GHz, 16GB Ram and Tuf B360-PRO gaming motherboard. Could it be capable of run gorn, beatsaber, pavlov, superhot and other vr games? Another question: If I dont have 3x USB 3.0 ports, is it posible to buy a 4 port USB 3.0? Example: https://azcd.harveynorman.com.au/media/catalog/product/cache/21/image/992x558/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/m/a/main--1726584255.jpg Please respond

Hi! I just order my case (Corsair 220t airflow rgb) and I want to make sue that my motherboard fits. The case is a mid-tower ATX case and my motherboard is the ASUS TUF B450M-Plus, so it's a micro ATX board. The case already has motherboard stand-off in it. I want to make sure that the motherboard will fit in the case. On all the websites that I find they say that the case will fit micro-ATX motherboards, I just want to clarify. Thanks!

So I just bought new ram for my PC, I noticed it wasn’t running at it’s full 3200mhz so I went into my bios and tried adjusting some different values one by one to get it up to its full speed. Adjust something that I believe was called FLCR or FLKR or something like that from auto to 3000mhz and now I can’t even get into my bios

Hello Readers, I have a Ryzen 3 1200 with the wraith stealth cooler and i was starting my build, i bought Arctic Silver 5 Thermal paste and applied it to my CPU. After an hour or so i realised that the Stealth cooler ALREADY! has thermal paste on it and i asked here on linustechtips and people said its bad because it will create a think layer and so i removed the cooler and cleaned the cpu and cooler with ‘Hand Sanitisers’ because i didnt have time to buy 99% alcohol. I removed all the thermal paste from the CPU but i scrached my cooler a bit. I was wondering if i F#CKED UP MY BUILD?

I have an R9 390, and I have 3 displays. 1 - 1920x1080 monitor connected by hdmi-hdmi 1 - 1920x1200 monitor connected by dvi-dvi 1 - 3440x1440 monitor connected by displayport-displayport When I connected all three they would work fine, but when I turned on eyefinity all 3 would stop working until I pulled 1 monitor off. Then I updated drivers which fixed it, but I still wanted to try eyefinity. When I went to radeon settings the eyefinity advanced setup would not start. So I tried basic setup, when i click this all 3 screens went black like previously and wouldn't turn on until I unplugged one of them. What is even happening. I would like eyefinity to work or at least all 3 of my monitors at the same time. Thanks.

So my grandpa just contacted me and said that one of his USB ports was not working anymore and he sent me this picture. I'm sorry for the low quality. The blue piece is no longer in the right place and the pins seems to be bent. Is there a way to fix this or does my old man's old man need to get a USB hub. He tried to contact some firm that he thought would be able to help him but they asked him if his USB port was in the motherboard or not. My guess is that it's because it's a laptop. Apparently it's a Acer Aspire something. Bought in 2016.

So i just ordered the beyerdynamic dt 770 pro ( 32 ohm edition ) today: 23 jan. And i am just wondering if its gonna be fine for gaming. I am always skeptical about stuff, this is one thing. So if you could just tell me, if you know what your talking about that is. Is it good for gaming. I know its good for music and normal day to day. But gaming is the question. Thanks for your time. Sorry about my grammar. Have a nice day. Fillip

So basically here is the sitch, I was trying to bring my system up to par and purchased some new parts. These being the ASUS Strix 1080 ti, Trident Z 16 Gb pack, and a shiny new MSI Pro Carbon x370 motherboard. Put all of the parts together, Windows 10 Pro booted properly, and everything was fine and dandy. Of course, its always something and I decided that I did not like my new MSI motherboard. Was planning on returning it to opt for something more expensive. Rip everything out and throw in my old MSI B350 Tomahawk to use while I wait. Everything looks normal when I turn on my PC and then it happens, Preparing Windows Automatic Repair ... The spinner freezes after one turn and I'm pissed. I turn off my PC and am able to get into the BIOS just fine. CPU looks normal as well as everything else. Try everything I can think of and always the same result. I don't really know what to do at this point and I am really hoping someone on here can help. Thank You, chump
