I currently have the QC25's which are fantastic and I really enjoy them. But since i work in a quite office and at home the sound cancelling get annoying with its hiss of the canelling not canceling anything out really quickly, but the loss in audio is just as annoying. I would be looking for suggesions for an alternative to these headphones. Have been looking at the HD560s since they are more in my budget range. (the QC were an execptional purchace). Sound cancelling is not required. suggestions would be welceomed, budget top range probably around £160

Hello guys. I have my G Pro X since 2 years now and it feels like they are gatting worse every day. Connection: When I bought it i could still hear the sound perfectly when I was on the other site of the appartment. (18-20m through walls) Now I leave the room and I start to lose connection.(2m away without walls) Sound: I play Hunt: Showdown a lot. Before I was playing on 30% while hearing everything. Now someone activates a soundtrap 15m in front of me or a hunter dies and I wouldn't notice without my mates telling me. Battery: Battery is still good like on day one Does someone has a similar experience?

I've been doing some research recently looking into updating my Audio setup for my PC, my budget is pretty flexible though i'm trying to keep it around the $1000-$1500 AUD range though i'd prefer not to overspend if i won't really get the benefit at the same time i'm willing to spend more if it's actually going to make a worthwhile difference, my main two use cases are gaming and music At the moment i'm using the Sony WH-XM4 which no complains about sound really but being bluetooth i've had issues with dropout and some games just don't even work with them either ending up with no sound or using the low quality version of the sound output so i intend to get away from all of that by going wired, the setup will purely be for home office use so from what i've read open back is probably where i want to head towards,i've been considering going with something like the Sennheiser 650HD then pairing that with an amp and possibly dac, i do have future plans to get an XLR mic as well which is why i had considered something like the GoXLR with an amp but i've read mixed things about that too. So any suggestion or good references would be much appreciate

OK, this has been a bugbear for years. The situations i simple to describe: I cannot reliably get Windows 10 (Latest build at time of writing) to connect my Sony Bluetooth headset as "Music" Here's how it -should- work. I'll refer to these steps as I describe the issue in detail. 1. I power on my Bluetooth Headphones (Sony CX-700N) 2. The Bluetooth stack connects (Shows as "Connected" in "Bliuetooth and Other Devices" 3. I hear "connected" in my earpiece. 4. The headphones icon has a green tick in Devices and Printers. 5. The two options in Control Panel -> "Sound" are connected with green ticks 6. I can select "via the Audio taskbar icon" to use Stereo if it hasn't;'t already chosen this by default 7. I Enjoy my music That's the dream scenario! The worst thing about this issue is, it is so bizarrely inconsistent. Sometimes, it just works! Most often this is after a fresh reboot, but sometimes, maybe a few week every few months, it goes as indicated above. The most common break is at point 4, the headphones have connected, but only the "Handsfree" option is available. Manually connecting to Stereo (By navigating to Control Panel -> "Sound", right clicking, and choosing "connect") works maybe 10% of the time, after -random length of time from a few seconds to a few minutes- Mostly this does not work. Is simply refuses to connect to Stereo. Here are the things I have done already. 1. Gone into Device manager, selected "Show hidden devices" removed everything in regard to my headphones in both Bluetooth and "Sound, video, and game controllers", rebooted, and ran a detect new hardware. This did nothing at all to help. 2. Followed these steps: Remove the headphones in windows settings in the devices tab and continue with these steps Run CMD as administrator (right click -> run as admin), insert: "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" (of course without ") -> This will take some minutes After finishing DISM you will need to run "sfc /scannow" (also without ") in CMD (also as administrator). This also did not make any difference, 3. Disabled Handsfree in as many ways as I could. a. Disabled the handsfree devices in Device Manager. b. Disabled the Service "Hands Free Telephony" in Services under the headphone icon in Devices and Printers c. Disabled the hands-free options in both playback and recording in Control Panel -> "Sound The result of any of these is the same, now the break in the chain is between 2 and 3, or 3 and 4. In other words NO options are available for using the headphones! If in the case of 'c', I re-enable handsfree, it will show up as connected. Disabling and re-enabling "Stereo" in Control Panel -> "Sound, unfortunately does NOT work. 4. Updated any drivers in anything vaguely related to the chain of steps above, all are Microsoft provided, and all are "the best available" Sony do not have any drivers for the headphones, relying on Microsoft to do all the work. 5. Other random things I read on forums including rebuilding the entire PC!! Gah! I have been in IT support for 25+ years, and this is the most infuriating, inconsistent and frustrating thing I have ever encountered. Can anyone offer any guidance here, is there something else I can do? Thanks in advance!

First time poster, so here goes nothing. I've recently managed to break my old headset and I'm looking to get some really nice closed back headphones for everyday use (gaming, watching videos/movies, listening to music while I study...) for when I go back to university in September. The catch is that I'm only going to be using my ROG G14 gaming laptop with it's regular audio jack while I'm there, so I'm not sure how fancy I should go. From looking at some other posts here it seems like going in the headphone rather than gaming headset direction is better, since I have a standalone mic. I have no real experience with high end audio gear or if I should even be looking at such gear in this situation. Any suggestions or pointers would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well, I'm looking for a new headphone for work/gaming but mainly for work since I already own a corsair void pro that I use for gaming. I'm mainly going to use the headphones via Bluetooth on my work laptop and wired on the gaming pc (it doesn't have Bluetooth sadly), ANC would be a nice to have but it's not essential, good sound quality on the other hand is a must have. Having considered all that I have my eye on a Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 (50h battery life sounds amazing) but I'm also considering the sony wh 1000xm4 just for the ANC. My only experience with ANC is with the galaxy buds pro that I own for about a year now, I also have tried my sister's xm4's for about 15min and loved how it pretty much turned off the external world, but again ANC is a nice to have but not a must have for me since headphones in general already have good sound isolation. Any tips, advice or warnings?

Hello! I've seen a lot of different IEMs and different opinions on them, if it's any help, the headphones I currently use are the Sennheiser 560S (which I absolutely love). Don't really have a specific preference for tuning, does not have to be neutral or anything as long as it sounds good! Some of the ones I'm interested in are the Moondrop Aria and the Truthear x Crinacle ZERO! Especially the latter because the driver setup sounds very interesting, but I've also heard that the Aria are the defacto pick for the sub-100 category so I'm not sure what to pick! AFAIK both are harman neutral but the Aria might be more detailed and balanced? Would love some input, especially if you own both!

I have just never had luck with headphones, either I get wired ones that end up with the classic having to be held at weird angles to work properly, or wireless I always run into the earpads not being replaceable and getting not the most comfortable to wear after a few months (this happens on wired too though). So as i'M onto my 4th headphone purchase in the past 3 years. I have found myself debating between 2 different pairs: The Astro A10s, and the AHT-M20X(BT). The Astro A10s were recommended to me by a friend because the wire and earpads can be replaced, thus meaning I could in theory replace either if it becomes a problem. The AHT-M20X I've also heard good things about, but obviously its not made for gaming, so would I need anything like software to get good "surround sound" in games? I'm aware that the "surround sound" on gaming headphones is mostly just the work of software. I have a dedicated mic so having a mic on the headset isn't a deal breaker for me. And the blue tooth variant of the AHT-M20Xs would allow me to use wireless when they are charged or wired if they aren't which also solves any battery life issues, I just don't know much about using them for gaming or if its even a good idea. Sorry for such a long post but I'm just looking for opinions as I'm sure there are people on here that know a lot more about this than me. Thanks

Hey all, I have a strange situation: A friend has a Yeti USB mic and a wireless headset which connects to his PC via a Type-C dongle. He wants to monitor the mic with no latency in the headphones while staying wireless (basically to DIY the "transparent mode" on ANC headphones to hear himself and his surroundings), but this requires him to plug into the headphone jack on the mic, cause I assume achieving this through software is not really possible. The male 3.5mm to female USB-C adapter that he would need does not appear to exist, or at least I can't find it. Is that because this would require some additional logic? Also, is this possible at all or will bluetooth latency be too noticeable? What's his best solution? Thanks!

so I used to have a headset from turtle beach was an ok set with average sound but the one claim to fame it had was a really good in line control puck that had indipendent volume control for game audio discord audio and no latency feedback of the mic into the headphones and these were all super convinient I have since upgraded over the years to a usb condenser mic and some audio technica headphones but it would be pretty awsome if there was some kind of cheap mixer or something that would give me the funcitonality that the old turtle beaches had. beeing a total nube when it comes to audio gear and as the title suggests I don't know if anything like this actually exists but if anyone can give me some advice on this that would be pretty awsome.

Hi, i need a headphone for gaming listening to music. i only used gaming headphones so i dont have any experience with this. In my country some brands and models are expensive and some dont exist. buying from outside can easly double the price due to shipping and taxes its not an option. Because of this widely known and used headphones are much cheaper here even compered to less known models and brands. example:Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro is 400$ here while Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro and Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro is 200$. So i prefer Beyerdynamic because other popular brands are kinda expensive. example:Sennheiser HD 600 is 650$. gaming: only single player games, mostly indie. music genre: mostly metal and rock sometimes electronic. durabilty and comfort is important. sometimes i fall asleep with headphones and plastic gets easly damaged so i prefer metal. close or open back doesnt matter. but i hear that open back sounds better so i lean towards it. i can get a amp/dac. but most brands and models are not available here so please suggest common brands and models. I prefer getting Beyerdynamic but i am open to other brands. Thank you for your time.

First off I want to say that I am looking for a way to fix this and if not just suggest cheap headsets under 40 buck because I only have 47 dollars right now. My JBL headset which I got as a christmas present from my dad (brand new) just died at the 7th / 8ish month mark of its life. Ive been using it to listen to music and to play video games usually about 5/6 hours for 5 days in the week. The wires have not been cut and ive been treating it like a baby when pulling out the audio jack. But the Audio jack has a faint black ring possibly because of the color of the audio port in my laptops (or sign of wear and tear). The headset is cosmetically brand new except for my initials on it and the earmuffs being less stiff. So any way to fix it or any videos to suggest?

I'm currently using some meh Amazon ANC earbuds (about $50 USD) and even though the ANC isn't amazing, it does the job well enough. Well now they're starting to have some issues with their bluetooth connectivity and I'm way outside the return window. Anyways, what are some decent ANC earbuds that won't break the bank (around the $100 mark or preferably less)?

I want to swap my G935 for a pair of headphones and a standalone mic. Which can you recommend? The intended use is gaming and pc, thus I would need to know if I have to buy a bluetooth adapter aswell. Budget for headphones are 250 and mic 100. The headphones NEED to be wireless and I would prefer if I could place the mic under my screen and not have to have an arm with a mic attached in front of my face. Thanks in advance

Hi, Recently, I got new headphones that are yet to be delivered. Steelseries Arctis 7+. One thing about them is that their wireless dongle is type-C. The problem I have is that neither my case nor my motherboard have a type-C female port. I plan to use these headphones with an OTG connector, USB type C female to type A male connector for the wireless dongle. I understand this is not the optimal way to use them but my real question is wether this will cause any problems such as input lag and audio signal loss since these are wireless headphones. My primary use is gaming and video editing. I have also had some plans to update my PC case, now I'm specifically looking for one that has a type C front panel port. Would using an OTG be just as good or should I make the case switch as soon as I can? Any help is appreciated. My motherboard: Gigabyte B550 gaming X Thanks!

Suddenly that one particular 2.0 USB port on my H510M motherboard decided to decline my mic ? i tried switching to a different USB port the other 2.0 one beside it and it's working fine. I thought something was wrong with my other 2.0 port until i connected my keyboard , it worked fine , tried mouse pad , it worked fine, tried my mouse and it worked fine. the USB port recognizes them and it's all good. Why is my mic the only thing that suddenly stopped working on it today ? Also i wanted to add that whenever i open the sound settings and the recording tab when its connected to the malfunctioning 2.0 port the recording tab freezes the whole sound system app. it goes not responding it only closes after a minute or if i unplug my headphones USB. the sound is perfectly fine from that port but the mic isn't working suddenly.

My Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones show that they are "paired" to my PC in Bluetooth settings on the PC. However, I cannot connect to them or remove them from the PC. They do not appear as an audio device for output. I tried using the headphones' Android app to connect as well. My PC shows up as registered, but cannot connect from there either. Bluetooth itself is working on the PC - I have other devices connected. Mobo: ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero Things I have already tried: 1. Remove headphone pairing in PC Bluetooth settings (doesn't work, fails) 2. Removing headphones via PC device manager (doesn't work, fails) 3. Delete all Bluetooth drivers, restart PC, reinstall Bluetooth drivers (no improvement) 4. Tried to pair again in PC Bluetooth settings - cannot discover headphones, possibly because they are already registered and cannot be removed. Help? Thank you.

Ok, so I'm looking at getting some new headphones and I was wondering whether I should get the DT 990 PRO or DT 880 PRO, keep in mind, I don't want closed back headphones, so my question is, which ones are the best when it comes to the least amount of sound leakage?

I purchased a PAIR OF 990 pros and an amp to go along with them, they sound great and everything but the problem is every so often whether its in a game or listening to music or watching youtube, they will cut out for 10-15 seconds and they come back on. I have no idea what the problem could be, has anyone had the problem or know of a solution??

I want to use my wired headphones wirelessly. What should I search on amazon? Product links will also be appreciated but within 30$

I know that this sort of question is probably pretty common here, but I haven't found any threads that really answer my question and I am so tired of trying to cross-reference conflicting articles and listicles (can't wait for LTT labs). I bought my M40x headphones ~5 years ago as my first foray into "real" headphones and have been pretty satisfied. Unfortunately, years of abuse are finally catching up with them (a natural result of their budget build quality) and they are in dire need of replacing. I am looking to collect some recommendations from the community based on the following criteria to help narrow down my research . Budget: $200~$300 somewhat flexible if there is a significant benefit closed back for noise isolation in both directions relatively flat tuning - I listen to a wide variety of media and I don't want a "signature sound" messing with my experience physical cord preferably removable/replaceable wireless would be a nice bonus, but it is not at all necessary This topic is meant to be a sort straw poll to get a better idea of what models to look at and what specs to look for, so a brief explanation for the reasoning behind any recommendations is appreciated. Amps and/or DACs are a topic I have not really delved into yet, but if it seems like they are an important consideration at this price point, I will do some more research or maybe start a separate thread to get some advice. If there is any other information or criteria I should include here, please let me know and I will try to update this post accordingly. Thank you all ahead of time for your replies. A knowledgeable community is worth hours of googling.

I'm in the market for some new headphones so looking for some recommendations. They will be mostly used for gaming but occasionally music and voice chat also. I don't need a mic build in as I have a Elgato Wave 3 They need to be 3.5mm jack so I can plug them into the back of the Wave 3 I am not worried about RGB. Its not a deal breaker either way. Ideally if possible I would like wireless headphones with a charging base station. USB dongle is no use as I want to connect them via the Wave 3 so would need 3.5mm connection from base station. If its not possible with wireless using 3.5mm then wired is fine. What do you recommend ?

I have been using an oneodio pro50 for around 2 years now. 2 days ago i bought a pair of hyper x cloud alpha after researching about headphones for a good 10 hours straight. Turns out I don't like the sound of alphas that much. Bass is good and male voices are fine but, female vocals and higher frequencies sound weird to me. Like they are muffled and less discernable. with this EQ below for equalizerAPO, it felt kinda better but still lacking. GraphicEQ: 25 -3; 40 -3; 63 -3; 100 -4; 160 -6; 250 -7; 406 -6.5; 506 -4; 630 -2; 743 -1.5; 875 -2; 1032 -3; 1433 -4; 1784 -4.5; 2500 -4; 2921 -4; 3086 -4; 3637 -1; 4058 0; 4287 -0.5; 5337 -0.5; 5637 -1; 6290 -4; 6644 -5.4; 7831 -7; 8272 -8; 8738 -8.5; 9749 -5; 10878 -3; 12137 -3.5; 12821 -4; 13500 -5; 14340 -5; 15110 -6; 16000 -9 I think what i want is a pair of headphones with strong bass and clear vocals that are comfortable under 100 dollars. Closed back preferred, open back ones are also acceptable. No need for a microphone or other fancy stuff. I just want a comfy and "fun" sounding pair of over ear headphones. I hope you can help me over this and thank you for reading.
