Before i was getting 80-90c under load with a h100i and then i decide to buy a new cooler from deepcool and when i installed it my temps just shot through the roof, so i put my old cooler in the h100i and are still getting the same results. i did seat the coolers correctly everytime and the pump is running i dont understand why though my voltage is stock @1.160 but i can see on CPUID my clock speed is constantly running between 4.2ghz-4.4ghz 24/7 any suggestions ?

Tldr: only able to get 6700k @4.7ghz stable @1.48v leaving me with 20celius temp headroom when under stress testing etc or in very cpu intensive games. With my ram at 3200Mhz xmp. …...……… My cooler currently is a Corsair gtx h100i with 2 sp120 fans running on a fan curve that's only really aggressive when I hit 80c. My question is this. Do I upgrade to a different Aio? Or go custom loop ? Or God forbid aircooling if that runs better temps. Advice would be great.

I am wondering if I am able to install a corsair h100i gtx(mounted on top of the case in push) as exhaust in the corsair 400c with an MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and 16 gigs(4x4) of PNY anarchy ram. I am hoping there are no clearance issues, mainly because I will have to rethink my case cooling solution. Please help. Thanks for your time! So I know that the H100i V2 has an issue where it makes noise when the stock fans (SP120) are plugged into the fan headers on the pump. I'm getting some Noctua nf-f12 iPPC fans, and I was wondering if the issue still persists when using fans other than the stock ones. Also, Im currently using AI Suite 3 that came with my mobo (Maximus VIII Gene) for fan control. Aside from Speedfan (which i find somewhat confusing to read) is there anything better for managing fan control?

Hello! First of all, I apologize for lumping all my questions into one thread, I just didn't want to clog up the forums. My biggest issue is that the temperatures on my cpu seem to be slightly higher than normal. I've been overclocking lately, and I've reached 4.2 ghz stable at 1.113 volts, but I can get higher frequencies stable quite easily. The only reason I can't is because of my temperatures. I'm running a h100i with Noctua NF-F12s in a push-pull setup, with the fans currently maxed out at around 1500 rpms. My idles are in the low 40s, and as soon as I run small ftps in Prime95 or stress fpu in Aida64, my temperatures skyrocket to the low 90s. I feel like this is higher than normal, even though I know the stock fans can run 2000+ rpms, but since I'm running push-pull with higher quality fans I feel like my temperatures should be lower. My second issue is with my custom fan curves. I'm currently running 8 fans in my case, 4 for the push-pull radiator, 1 more intake, and 3 exhaust. I have 4 fans plugged into the motherboard header, and the 4 radiator fans plugged into the corsair H100i. My fans that are running off the motherboard header I have set curves with in AI suite, and they seem to work just fine. However, the fans I have plugged into the H100i seem to ignore the fan curves I set in Corsair Link. They just run at around 1000rpm, and the only way I can change that is by setting a fixed rpm%. I read online somewhere that there's an issue with the sensors getting directions from two separate programs at once, or something. Is this true? If so, is there a way I can control all of the fans from one of the software (preferably AI suite)? Is there anything else I can use to control them all? Or should I unplug them from the h100i and use fan splitters to plug them all into the motherboard? Finally, I currently only have two 120mm fans in the top exhaust bay of the case, but I would like to populate this with a third fan (or replace these two with 140mm fans) to improve airflow. I would like to have positive pressure in the case, however. I have 3 bays in the front as intake, although 2 of the bays are my radiator (even though there are 4 fans there), my two 120mm fans and a 140mm fan in the back as exhaust. Is there a good way of doing this anyone can think of? How does a push-pull radiator set up affect the pressure ratio? Thanks for all the help guys! I'm sorry for the wall of text, and for cramming multiple questions into one thread. I appreciate all the help!

I've watched a few videos on installing this, but best to ask. Currently I have 2 case fans at the top of my case I assume I would have to remove those for the radiator. Pictures of the current cooler and of the top of the case. http://imgur.com/JXi5m26 http://imgur.com/7AWdIV1

My H100i has a really annoying pump noise, no particularly loud although at Idle it is the loudest thing in my system and the tone of it just really annoys me. Does anyone else have this issue. I'm thinking of moving to the H220x2 when more reviews become available. Anyone have the H220x2 and notice it has a loud pump with an annoying tone? Thanks guys.

Hey guys I need some help deciding on what to do next with my h100i. The fans have gotten very loud, as expected after 2 years of heavy use. What I would like help with is deciding do I replace the fans and hope the cooler lasts longer, or do I replace the cooler and even possibly downgrade to air cooling? Given I only have a AMD FX 8300 running at 4.2 GHz the h100i is more for show and I could just use an air cooler. Any advice is welcome, I am stuck trying to make this decision.

To begin, I'm pretty new to PC building. I am looking to build a micro atx PC, using the Corsair Carbide Series® Air 240 case. I saw a build where the person has 4 fans attached to the front radiator: http://imgur.com/ZOhU6dp What is the advantage to this than the normal 2? Would the fans on the front be pulling air in or exhaust? Should I add fans at the bottom of the case as well?
-
I am using the Corsair Air 240 with the H100i, and will be installing it at the front of the case, see here . What config would be better? Push or pull. I don't have enough fans for push/pull atm. And SP or AF?

Hey guys. So recently i have noticed that I am getting idle cpu (i7 4770k) temps of 79-92 degrees celcius with my h100i. Also, I reapplied thermal paste and I have the fans on high going at 2413rpm and I am not sure what is wrong. All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there LTT fourm members, I recently purchased an i7 6700k, MSI z170A Gaming Pro Carbon, 2x8 Corsair Vengeance DDR4, and a Noctua NH-D15. I am currently using a Corsair H100i in my rig. The spare parts will be going to a secondary rig. I am wondering which cooler you guys think i should keep in my main rig and which i should put in my spare rig. Please give some reasoning to your answers. Thank you, PBR38 EDIT, Forgot to mention i'm using NF-F12's on my H100i

I'm about to buy the Corsair H100i, its my first build and my first liquid cooling. I know it comes with thermal paste pre-applied and I'm not sure whether I should remove this and apply Arctic Cooling MX-4 instead? Also, what is the best way to remove thermal compound and how often should you re-apply??

would it be possible to use the block/pump and radiator in a custom water cooling loop? and is is possible to replace the tubing on a h100i?

Hello All, So I've maybe ran Linux builds on one or two of my many systems over the years. I'm looking at making a steamBox for my living room. My question is will my Old H100i cooler work with SteamOS? I've never played with it on a Linux build. Also this will be a build of old parts from my main gaming rig.

Hello everyone, So i have recently started saving up money for a new gaming pc and i have chose the nzxt s340 as my case. I'll be getting a i7 6700k and i would like to water cool it with a Corsair H100i. The thing is that the corsair H100i contains two radiators which will mean the only place i would be able to place it is at the front of the case where there are two fans which are supposed to pull air inside the case. What i'm trying to know is whether there will be good airflow in the case even if the two front fans are occupied by the water cooler and if i can, and should make the radiators of the water cooler pull air inside or push it outside. I believe a double radiator water cooler wouldn't be a problem since at NZXT's site which presents the s340 along with alot of tech youtubers (including Linus) show the case with a water cooler at the front of the case. I would really appreciate if someone suggests me a way to have the best airflow in this case. For example, i was thinking that the top and single back fan pull air inside while the water cooler fans push the air outwards. I'm still not sure though so i would like your opinion. Anyways, thanks for reading this and sorry if this was a dull question.

Hey there! I was wondering if i could get a bit of advice on cooling inside a Bitfenix Prodigy. I currently have the windowed side panel installed on the case and two fans that come with the Bitfenix Prodigy installed. Basically, with the windowed side panel, the GTX980 is getting very warm, like almost at 80c warm most of the time when gaming on things like Ark. I was wondering whether it would be beneficial to install some NF F12s instead of the stock case and H100i fans? Or potentially even 140mm fans instead? The h100i makes it awkward to install a second fan at the front so a low profile fan would be needed to add an extra fan in there as well. (The H100i is at the top of the case with fans pulling air through the rad and out of the case.) I'd be much obliged if anyone has any recommendation to improve cooling. Thanks! System Specs are: i7 4790k at stock speed watercooled with a H100i and corsair's stock fans that come with that. Asus GTX980 OC Strix Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 5 Mini ITX Motherboard Corsair Vengeance Pro 2 x 8GB.

So, long story short, I have an H100i (not GTX) cooling a mildly overclocked Intel Core i7-4790k. When running at 4.6Ghz and running Aidi64 extreme, I encounter thermal throttling within the first minute. If I run it at stock, it still ends up thermal throttling, just takes a little longer to get there. Is there something wrong with my setup? The reason I'm asking this is because my buddy's computer was built recently and uses an H110i GT, and he has been very pleased with it. What surprised me was that when his CPU is being pushed, it never tops 80, and you can really feel the heat coming through the radiator. By comparison, when stressing my CPU, I get to the high-90's, then thermal throttling keeps my temps in check around there, but when I place my hand over the radiator, I feel plenty of air coming from the NF-F12s (which are running pegged at 1300RPM constantly), but it's not particularly warm. In fact, it's hardly warmer than room temp (about 25-30C). I'm well out of the warranty on this cooler, so returning it isn't exactly an option, but I was already planning an upgrade, should I fast track that? Is it possible one of the tubes is slightly obstructed, not allowing the fluid to flow at the right speed? Is there a way I can check this without opening everything up? I don't want to risk damaging my CPU, but I also feel like the fact that it never goes over 70C while gaming means it's probably not going to die on me any time soon, it's only under synthetic workloads that I thermal throttle. Also worth noting is that these temps are not unusual for this setup, I've replaced the thermal paste each time I clean the computer out (once every 6 months, so probably 5-6 times with this cooler) and usually have excellent thermal paste coverage. Regardless, temps now are consistent with temps I've gotten before with good coverage. What do you guys think?

I just got a H440 NZXT case and would like to mount my H100i GTX in the front pulling air in. My question is would it be ok to mount it with the tubes on top of the radiator or dies the loop have air in it that will cause trouble? I am not sure of the tubes are long enough to have them on the bottom.

Hello all, Been watching LTT for ages and never have joined up with these awesome forums. I have wanted to, believe me, but I never had the hardware that I felt justified being part of a tech forum. Mind you, here are the specs from my old rig, to show that the new rig is a complete life changer(in relation to gaming). Old Specs: CPU: Q9650 @ 4.2ghz GPU: GTX750ti FTW (still have this, will probably be framing and creating a shrine, lol.. I loved this card) RAM: Shitty 8gb ddr2 SSD: pny 240gb MOBO: ASUS P5Q So as you can see, the old rig wasn't too shabby and had me gaming for quite a while with only changing the GPU and SSD - but I was in love with the 4790k since release, so eventually, I had to have it. My current rig is a dream, and even though I am gaming on a 27" 60hz AOC from 2 years ago, I now stay at the constant 60fps (vsync) but now also hit some crazy fps - that a new 144hz monitor should be in order soon. Here are the specs of my new, current, color schemed rig.. New Specs: CPU: 4790k (no overclock just yet, no reason found so far) GPU: GTX970 FTW+ MOBO: MSI z97s Krait edition RAM: 16gb GSKills sniper ddr3 @ 1866mhz PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2 Cooler: Corsair h100i v2 SSD: same pny 240gb HDD: Western Digital blue 500gb CASE: NZXT s340 white and NZXT sleeved white LED strip Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Reds, red LED backlit I could have spent the extra $20-$40 for the 6700k, and sometimes think that I should have.. but I have wanted the 4790k for so long that once I had saved for this build, it was the first thing that I purchase, without thinking twice. Overall, this a great setup and is better than I could have imagined. I will include some pics and look forward to getting to know you all. sorry for the long post.. I was just excited to share. Thanks

Does anyone know if the H100i is able to keep up with a FX-9590? I know the thing puts out a lot of heat and I tried using a beastly air cooler and it just couldn't hack it. So, I'm considering a closed loop and read that the H100i comes highly recommended. Thanks!

i have swap my h100i gtx fans to noctua nf f12, when i plug them in to the h100i pump splitters the corsair link shows 0 rpm on the cooler fan.... but they are spinning. must i connect them using the spiliiters given by noctua to the motherboard fan headers? i am using a msi z170i mini itx board, the h100i is connect to cpu fan header.
