So I am planning on upgrading my system and was wondering if my Corsair Hydroseries H100i RGB Pro is compatible with AM5 and if so would the AIO be enough to cool the ryzen 7800x3d? The specs says it's only up to AM4 but on the corsair website AM4 coolers should fit the new AM5 sockets. Also in case it isn't compatible would the deepcool ak620 air cooler be enough? I won't be doing any manual overclocking. Here is a picture of the box

Looking to buy a new 240mm AIO for my new 13600K and considering that I'm coming from a Corsair H80i that is still performing well on my old 4790K after 8 years of operation, I'm planning on another Corsair buy. Their line up of 240mm coolers has got me confused though. What exactly is supposed to be the difference between the H100i RGB Elite, H100i Elite Capellix, and the H100 RGB? Why are some of them more expensive than others? Are there any functional differences i.e. quality of the pump & fittings...or is it just the RGB & iCUE stuff?

Hey all, been having some cooling issues for a while, pc would run 89c+ passively while making a lot of noise, 99c when doing almost anything. Wondered if it was air in the cooling block, so I did the tilt it back and forth method and that fixed the noise. However I appear to have made it worse? now just sitting on my bios it climbs to 95c+ and one of the two pipes from the cooling block is also hot as hell. Stuff to note; thermal paste applied in pea size amount, mounting performed correctly, hardware I7 4000hz cpu cooler Corsair h100i I assume maybe now there is something stuck in one of the pipes? I noticed when I last remounted there was a little (1.5mm) blemish like a burn on the copper plate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I recently built my new pc with a ryzen 7 5800x cooled by a H100i. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not used to how loud AIO coolers are but it seems to be very loud. I thought maybe it's runing hard becaue the chip is runing too hot because of a bad mount. I usually get about 75 to 80 degreed celcius while gaming. Is this too hot?

Hi, I just built an all new system with a Ryzen 5 5800 X and a Corsair H 100 I. The first time I booted up my system I noticed that it was running very hot. In the 90’s! at first I assumed it was not correct and I just need an installed drivers but while I was doing that my PC shut down. When I checked the bio so it also reported very hot temperatures at idle. i’m not quite sure why it’s doing this. A few things I noticed was that I didn’t know how much mounting pressure to use and I didn’t install the radiator with the right screws, but I don’t think that should affects thermals. Any suggestions??

Hey I got a Corsair H100i V2, and after plugging two different CPUs in i know can say: The AIO has some sort of problem. Both CPUs were Ryzen 5800x, and in both cases the temps just shot up to 90°C while stresstesting with cinebench and p95. Anybody got a way to troubleshoot? I know that neither the pump nor the fans are defect, because i hear/see them spinning. Im guessing its clogged, but is there anyway to check without tearing it apart? Thanks!

Hi all- I currently have an AMD Ryzen 3700X with an ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports CPU cooler. Its been a decent CPU cooler over the past few years since I made the system but just recently the fan decided to spin itself to death and now I had two choices, either buy a new fan or just get a new CPU cooler. I've always wanted to try liquid cooling in a system and the Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX cooler caught my attention. I already have a corsair case and memory so I would like the CPU cooler to also match. If someone has a better cooler in mind let me know but I want it to match with the Corsair ecosystem that I've invested in. The case I have now is a Corsair 220T AirFlow and so it says it supports 360mm coolers but it looks like it is going to be an extremely tight fit so I think I would rather stick to 240mm. I am not overclocking the system at all so I don't need a lot of overhead. Thanks for everyone who responds advice.

So, I recently upgraded most of my pc besides GPU. Long story short, I went from an i7-3770k to a i7-10700k. I changed my case to a fractal design (forgot exact model name). I originally purchased a ML240L Cooler Master which proved to be awful. Right out of the box just with the intel turbo boost benchmarks and stress testing often got me hitting TjMax 100c often and thermal throttling. Keep in mind my old 3770k with a h100i 240mm aio had me never going above 60c which I know has less cores and lower TDP. I immediately got a h100i ( set at top and as exhaust) and returned the Cooler Master aio. Now with an undervolt of 1.275 vcore and PL1 125W and PL2 175W a prime 95 with avx disabled I get around 67-73c but I do notice after a few minutes of running my core clocks drop to around 4ghz (I'm assuming power throttling since hwinfo showed it and my PL1/2 are low for a stress test like prime95). Gaming I get 45-68c depending on the intensity of game and streaming and gaming on the same pc I get 60-73c. Just wondering if this is just because the chip runs hot or what? I even repasted with thermal grizzly kryonaut(albeit spreading the paste with that plastic spreader is difficult I may have done a bad job but regardless it was like this with the preapplied paste as well before I removed it). Any info would be helpful. Thank you!

Hi all, I've installed a new corsair h100i elite capellix in my pc and I'm having issues with it being detected. I've been having issues for about a month now and have troubleshooted it down to either windows or the commander core itself. I have reached out to corsair support but no response yet. In device manager the core appears as a device discriptor request failed with the error code 43. I have tried every possible solution out there from messing with iCUE, trying it in a different PC and anything else you could possibly think of. I have got it to work a few times but it reverts to the above error after I switch the PC off at night and turn it on in the morning. For the times I have got it to work was either unplugging and plugging in the USB header of the core repeatidly until it gets detected. The other time was after messing around installing drivers and installing the specific driver "USB composite device" but it only works occasinally and reverts to the device descriptor request failed if it doesn't work. When it is working the commander core shows up with 5 devices from device manager, those being, 2x HID- complient vector defined device, 1 usb composite device and 2x USB input device. The AIO is working and all fans and lights work but its just not detected. It also retains the hardware lighting which I set in iCUE when it was detected and working properly. I've seen a few other places where people are having the same issues but the forum ends without a solution so hopefully we will find one. Thanks Iain

Trying to find the best case as currently I can’t top mount my h100i pro xt on the top because my corsair ram is just too high profile so it blocks it from being put in, even putting the rad in first the ram then can’t fit so I’m at a loss with my current corsair case. I was told Lian-Li was good but I can’t justify spending a bunch on the case. Just trying to find the best option without burning a hole in my pocket.

Hi guys, My board is ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming and just 2-3 days ago I had a CPU Fan error which prevents me from booting up. What I did was, I went to BIOS and just "IGNORED" my CPU Fan instead of it being "MONITORED". Given I don't have anything running through that port as I'm using an AIO cooler connected via CPU Fan Opt, I thought this was the only safe way of booting up. Anyway, I have 2 questions: Why did all of a sudden, I had a CPU Fan error? I never had it since and I'm running this rig for about 3-4 years now. - if more info is needed on what are the things that are connected to my PC are, just let me know and I can provide. Whenever I reboot/restart my rig I have to go back to BIOS and redo what I just did of IGNORING the CPU Fan. - Do I have to do this every single time I turn my PC on moving forward? I know my rig is kind of old and someone told me that my AIO pump which is Corsair Hydro Series H100i could be bad but I just checked on the iCue and below is what is displayed: Fan running at 1500rpm on idle and pump is at 1900rpm on idle with a temp of 36.50c Do bad pumps detect as CPU Fan error? TIA edit: might have posted in the wrong section, if I did, can some mod move this to the appropriate section? Thank you so much.

Hey! i have ordered a 4000D chassi, with a z490 strix gaming mobo, dominator RAM and a h100i white platinum 240mm rad that i will top mount. And i got a bit worried by the ram clearance with that rad, the dominator sticks is 54mm high. is there anyone that have the same chassi with h100i or simillar 240mm aio top mounted that can measure how high the RAM can be? cheers

Detailed series of pics to follow along the issue: https://imgur.com/a/UfMGX6a The H100i Capellix pump does not seem to turn on after my PC wakes up from sleeping after about 30 minutes or more and sometimes, it just won't turn on at all even after completely shutting off the PC and powering it back on. The PC would say "CPU fan error" on start up. The case fans are still lightly spinning but there were no RGB lights on either the fan or pump head and the pump wasn't working. Everything is connected properly including the pump tach cable plugged into the CPU_FAN header. I tried different SATA power cables to make sure they weren't broken and the cables were not defective. The SATA cables powered all of my storage devices and the Lightning Node CORE properly. Going into BIOS shows the pump fan not spinning and CPU temperatures constantly rising well pass 70 C and continuing to climb until I shut the PC off manually to prevent overheat damage. At first I thought it was iCUE being wonky since it failed to detect the H100i Cappelix after the PC wakes up from sleep (when everything is working normally, iCUE would detect it as usual). I restarted the software and even uninstalled/reinstalled it but that didn't solve it. I then completely uninstalled iCUE to see if it really was the software at fault. I first did a controlled test where I did a normal PC power on with iCUE uninstalled and the pump worked as usual. Then I put my PC to sleep and woke it up after 1 hour. The H100i Capellix did not turn on, showing that iCUE had nothing to do with the pump not working. Also I'm noticing that the pump makes this thump sound every 4 seconds but I'm not sure if that's normal or an actual defect (I confirmed it's the pump making that thump sound because when I touched the pump, I directly felt the vibration every thump). Here's a short video of it I filmed. It's sort of hard to hear so the volume might need to be turned up high but the thump sound happened thrice in the video. Also Corsair support reached out to me and sent me a special firmware file to force update the Capellix in iCUE but that still did not solve the problem (considering iCUE wasn't the issue after all). Does anybody know what exactly is going on?

Hi all, I'm looking for the best fan configuration for a build. It's a Meshify C case and a H100i. It's the first time I'll have used liquid cooling and I'm not sure the best placement for it. My old build was 3 intake fans up front, exhausted top and rear. My understanding is that the radiator for the H100i will prevent air exhausting from wherever I put it (tell me if I'm wrong). So do I put it at the top and have the air go front to back, or visa versa? Thanks.

So I have a h100i, but missing the screws that mount the fans to the rad. Anyone know what size and length I need to get? Also can I use the stock am4 backplate or do I need use the included backplate? Do to my case I would have to pull the mb out and I can avoid that it would nice.

Hello, I would like to request some help/advice with AIO cooler. Yesterday, I finished building my second PC, I decided to try out water cooling. I purchased Corsair Hydro Series H100i RGB PLATINUM and installed it following the instructions. My problem is that the pump (heatsink) is making really load fan noise. ICUE pump control does not influence the speed of the pump, it always run at max speed and is super loud. The speed ramps up almost always after logging into windows, sometimes it starts after I start a game.I would not mind loud pump during gaming, but It really bothers me during idle, low load time. My PC specs: I7 9700k, Z390 carbon, Vengeance RGB PRO Series 32 Gb Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Super Gaming X Trio, Seasonic Focus GX 750 Gold I do not think this much noise is normal. I would like some opinions how to fix it. Is there any other possibility or do I have to return the cooler. Temp is ok, around 35-40 °C under low load and does not exceed 65 degrees after 30 minutes CPU stress test.Liquid does not exeed 35 degrees. If you need any additional information, just ask me. I would like to have it solved as soon as possible, so I will try to cooperate as much as I can. 2020_08_20_22_15_02.mp3

Greetings, I just bought the Corsair Icue H100i Rgb Pro Xt (240mm), but I had to put the fans behind the radiator (because my cheap case doesn't have the correct holes), like this: Is there any impact on its performance or is it ok? I just installed the AIO and everything is super fine. One thing I notice is a difference between HWmonitor an corsair iCUE: 4655 RPM vs 2340 RPM. What-s wrong here?

I have 2 LL 140 rgb case fans that came with the lighting node pro and rgb fan hub and everything worked perfectly. I recently purchased 3 LL 120 case fans(i purchased the LL 120 separately in individual boxes). I have power to all the fans but the 3 LL 120's have no rgb. I have the 140's connected to slots 1-2 in the rgb hub and the rgb on them still works, and the 120's are in slots 3-5 and currently have no rgb but they do spin. I've tried swapping the fans into different slots and saw that the 120's i put into slots 1-2 now have rgb but now the 140's i put in the other slots no longer gave rgb. I wanna say it's a faulty hub but i'm not sure. Forgot to mention the 120's fans rgb kinda flicker in certain areas on the fans like they're trying to come on but can't. I tried disconnecting the USB from the header on the motherboard and connecting to another USB 2.0 header. Also tried resetting the Lighting node pro and installing different firmware. I'm having a problem the ICUE software. Ever since I Installed the 3 120 fans ICUE no longer detects my Corsair devices including the lighting node pro or my H100i.

So I heard that two series of fans from corsair (example: SP120 and LL120) wont work together on the corsair lighting node core. Does the LL120 series fall into this category? I am planning on buying the Corsair 280x RGB and the Corsair H100i, both of witch come with Corsair's LL120mm fans. (2 each) However, the the case (280x) comes with the back ones, and the AIO comes with the white ones. I know that the white LL120's have a higher RPM, but will this affect the RGB goodness that i'm looking for? Thanks!

Hi guys, I currently have a 465X that includes 3 LL120s on the front. I plan to purchase an h100i Pro RGB Platinum that includes 2 ML120 Pro, and also purchase 1 more to complete the build. My idea is this, put the LL fans on top and one on the back. The 3 ML fans on the front along with the radiator. To control all of this, I need to control RGB on one hand and fan speed on the other. 1) Is it possible to connect all 6 fans to the Node Core that includes the 465X? Considering that they are two different models. 2) The h100i's pump allows up to 4 fans to be connected to control the RPM. Is it possible to get 2 x 3-way splitters and connect each one, to one of the corsair splitter ports? In this way I could connect the LL in one 3-way and the ML in the other. 3-way Splitter https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Splitter-Computer-Extension-Converter-TeamProfitcom/dp/B07F8LV1BY/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_es_US=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=fan+6+port+pwm+repeater&qid=1595279835&sr=8-3 After much thought, it was the best thing that occurred to me. Any better ideas without having to buy a Commander Pro?

Greetings, The i7 10700k is hot, I wonder what would be the temps paired with a corsair H100i RGB PRO XT (https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.co/MCO-569993714-refrigeracin-liquida-corsais-h100i-pro-xt-rgb-_JM?quantity=1&variation=59674852851), I can´t find any info about this, would those temps be acceptable? Notes: -the i7 10700K would be overclock at least at 4.9 Ghz all core. -The case is a Aerocool Cylon https://aerocool.io/product/cylon/. Thanks.

Hey everyone, You most likely would remember my previous threads more than a year ago about my 4790K overheating. However with Corsair H100i cooled the CPU down drastically that I could OC to 4.7GHz with mid 70C degrees temp at Max CPU usage until today. Two weeks ago I realised my computer would shut down at midnight when I leave my PC to download steam games. Turning my PC back on into the BIOS running the CPU at 100C degrees. One of the pipes is boiling hot whereas the other isn’t warm but cool. I’m in a pickle now, I can’t use my computer without feeling cautious on the temperatures. At idle, the CPU temps are 41-49C, it’s when the CPU usage increases drastically that’s when the temperature goes haywire. Also I found out recently that the pump or the fan is making this rattling sound that is annoying as the room and the computer is usually quiet. i7 4790K GTX 1080 (GIGABYTE) 32GB 2400MHz Corsair Vengence and G.Skill 1000w gold Aerocool Xpredator MSI Z97X Gaming 5 I have remounted the damn thing 2-3 times today, the thermal paste wire off quickly (the thermal paste was reapplied two weeks ago)

back in 2013/14 when i built my current station, i bought a corsair H100i for my overclocked FX-8350. now i'm looking to upgrade to a ryzen 3900x and trying to figure out if i could pass on the stock prism cooler. it's the first edition h100i (meaning not "pro" or "v2") and i managed to gather 2 pieces of info. 1st is that it's compatible with AM4 sockets and the 2nd is that for differences in the die architecture, the block itself isn't cooling the right parts of the CPU, making the entire setup basically irrelevant. since it's an old model i couldn't find benchmarks of it online, and wanted to see what i could expect before ordering a new CPU. thanks a lot! adding a picute to the h100i i own so to avoid confusion.
