Is there any point in me buying a G1 gaming GTX 960 for £20-30 more than a Windforce 2? Is the overclocking preformance better on the G1 and if so by how much? Also how does the 4GB version compare to the 2GB?

So i've been having this problem for a week now since i bought my card a week ago. I've noticed that it doesn't get enough FPS on GTA V. I ran the benchmark with Most settings on very high (1080p) no MSAA or FXAA and lowest fps was 30 (avg 40, max 55). The problem starts when i go into the game itself and start playing. I get max 35 fps and most of the time i play under 30 while in the city. I've set the settings to normal to see if there's a diffrence and i got max 45 fps while in the city and avg.35. I don t think that's normal since i've been watching videos with guys playing in on very high and getting 50 fps while in city or so. Please help!!

Guys, I need some help with my GTX 960 Maybe i`m just an idiot and dont understand how things works) So, the problem is simple - Heaven Benchmark and MSI Afterburner GPU Tracking shows different numbers and i dont know who`s right. The specs from MSI site is: 1304 MHz / 1241 MHz (OC Mode) 1279 MHz / 1216 MHz (Gaming Mode) 1178 MHz / 1127 MHz (Silent Mode) I run it on OC mode through Heaven Benchmark and Afterburner show me 1302MHz, but Heaven show 1455MHz, whos right? Anybody ever had issues like that? And guys, can someone tell me why GPU RAM runs on 3505MHz against its 7100MHz from MSI site? PS: I`m greatly sorry about poor foto, Faststone ScreenCapure refuse to take sceen while benchmarking

I'm about to order a Strix 960 with 4GB. Wondering if the 2GB extra VRAM & expense will be worth it. I know the RAM won't be of much use for most games but I'm thinking about open world games like Arma2/3, ARK, etc. Won't the extra RAM be useful for longer draw distances?

Hi there, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU in the next days, and I narrowed it down to 3 options. My top choice is the MSI GTX960 Gaming Edition, but if I won't be able to get it I'm looking at the ASUS R9 380 STRIX, and the ASUS GTX950 STRIX. All of them are 2GB cards. Between the R9 380 and the GTX950 what would you guys recommend?

I am trying to make a new budget gaming PC .I am only invesing in gpu, cpu, motherboard and ram. I have decided on AMD FX6300, MSI 970 gaming motherboard, ASUS STRIX GTX960 2GB . Is this good enough or I should invest in something better? I want my PC to be future proof(atleast for next 4 years) MY budget- 600$ including RAM. Also which power supply is adequate for above parts?

I've been working with an older computer, it has good specs for what it is but doesn't have a graphics card. Since I'm thinking on using it as my main computer I need a new graphics card, my budget isn't too big and from my research a GTX 960 seems to be the best bang for buck in my case. Even though most of my pcs have amd cards and I quite like them, I'm looking on the green side this time because of CUDA acceleration on Adobe Premiere since I edit a couple of videos occasionally and CUDA reduces a bit cpu usage wich will be important. The computer has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66Ghz, 8gb ram and the mobo is an Intel DG965WH. What I'm worried about is the motherboard, the cpu and ram is ok, the motherboard in the other hand is a bit old tech, the only PCIe x16 I believe is a 2.0, and the 960 is x16 3.0. My knowledge on PCI is a bit rough, the rest I would say it's pretty good Is this an issue? Is it too much of a stretch that a bottleneck will be noticeable? (Thinking on the white MSI GTX960 oc, and if you know any way to overclock the cpu with this mobo please reply) Thanks in advance

Sorry about how many similar posts i have made but really want my first pc to be as good as it can be. It will be for 720p gaming at first but 1080p in the near future, and light home use ie office and google chrome. I have made five builds. Which would be the best for me to get, and if there are other builds for 400 pounds that offer significant boosts in performance. Size is also important. Small is a bonus but not too important. Btw thanks for all the answers i have been getting so far. Really looking forward to building my first pc The Builds http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/McR7FT http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/dDwxdC http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/j8qj99 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/tYfN4D http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/P3khLk

Problem: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0 not bringing out max performance while playing Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Acceleration. Attachments: FSX is a DirectX 9 application; My CPU is Intel Core i7-4790. My GPU drivers are up to date. I HAVE PROVEN THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY GPU DRIVERS. My recent GeForce GT 720 brings out BETTER FSX in-game performance and experience than this GTX 960. Does not make sense, right? My PerformanceTest (videocardbenchmark.net) on graphics reveals better graphics performance than average GTX-960-based GPU benchmark scores, also multiple times of MAGNITUDES better than my GT 720 card. Sometimes the GPU clock is stuck at somewhere like 1053MHz according to EVGA Precision X, while sometimes it overclocks successfully. The way FSX FPS behaves is that it is attempted to be locked at somewhere like 60 fps, 30 fps, 20, or even 15 fps. It's also dynamic. An example of dynamic is that when I am in the air with less graphic elements, the FPS tends to be more than usual, and the game tries to lock the framerate at 60 fps. When I am on the ground with more graphics elements, it tries to lock at 30 fps; all of these happen when the in-game fps target is "Unlimited". I can see that the framerate is jumping with numbers very close to one of these FPS numbers. With the previous GT 720 (OEM btw) I can see fps coming up with random numbers from 64 all the way up to 274. There was no limits. Since the PerformanceTest reveals such positive results, I suspected my FSX installation. I uninstalled all the addons and reinstalled FSX, but the issue stays the same. What could be possibly wrong with the GPU? How can I achieve the framerate better than GT 720 while the GTX 960 works under full load? Side note: I also tried Prepar3d (Which is DirectX 11) and found out that on Prepar3d it performs better than GT 720, but not that much; the DirectX 9 test and DirectX 11 in PerformanceTest revealed great results, over 5 times better than the GT 720 card according to the score, so in theory the GTX 960 would perform DirectX 9 and 11 better than GT 720. May 24 Updates: I realized I need better headline to attract attention. I have experienced minor coil whine during the initial segments of 3DMark test, but it disappeared afterwards. During the 3DMark tests, the test aborted and presented me with this message: Unexpected error running tests. Workload work failed with error message: eva::d3d11::rendering::deferred_scene_renderer::render(): draw_unshadowed_illumination_task for thread 0: File: device_context.cpp Line: 818 Function: struct ID3D11CommandList *__cdecl eva::d3d11::deferred_device_context::do_finish_command_list(bool) Expression: native()->FinishCommandList( restore_deferred_context_state, &result): DX11 call failed [-2005270522]. Firstly, Hello!. I'am planning to upgrade my PC. Was thinking of going all out and getting a GTX 960 or 970, but someone somewhere said that it is not worth for my setup, and I would be just fine upgrading to GTX750Ti. So, I'am here to ask of you opinion. My PC specs: PSU: Corsair CX 750M MB: Asus P8P67 LE / Intel P67 / 4 x DIMM DDR3 Dual channel / Expansion: 1 x PCLe 2.0x16(x16) GPU: PALIT GTX570 PCIE 1280MB GDDR-5 OD CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.4GHz RAM: 2x Crucial 4GB DDR3 1333 Mhz *Case may be relevant, but I'm planning on getting a NZXT H440 soon anyways, so size shouldn't be much of an issue.

I just ordered my first gpu (gtx 960 asus strix), its still in the mail but I want to be able to install it right away once it comes. I have a AMD 760G Chipset and a radeon 6670 gpu currently (if this even matters), are there any certain precautions or things to do that are well known for gpu installation? also, should I save or sell this outdated graphics card? (if i sold it how much would it be worth, works fine just 1 year usage)

I need some serious help, I am new to pc gaming and I have owned this pc my current specs System: AMD FX 4130 3.80GHz Quad-Core | AMD 760G Chipset | 8GB DDR3 | Graphics: Radeon HD 6670 1GB Video Card PSU: IP-S450CQ2-0 450W PSU as you can tell I am in desperate need of a new graphics card. My goal is to play far cry 4 on high/ultra 1080p at an average frame rate of at least 50. I would love to get the gtx970 but there are two things that are hindering me. 1. I'd have to get a new power supply unit 2. I don't know if my CPU would be bottle necking this high end GPU But if I get the GTX 960, I am curious if that will even be able to play games like far cry 4 on ultra at 50 FPS due to the fact that it only has 2GB of VRAM. OR should I just wait for AMD to release there cards in June? I Guess my MAIN question is whether or not my CPU will negate the performance increase of the 970 compared to using a 960.

So, here I was having a great day, about to build myself a great beast of a pc, but now I find myself in a huge dilemma.! So, I got to choose between getting the Graphics Card: *ASUS GRAPHICS CARD GTX 970 4GB DDR5 DC II OC STRIX EDITION OR *ASUS GRAPHICS CARD GTX 960 2GB DDR5 DC II OC STRIX And I have absolutely no idea which to get. I'm not even sure I want to get an nvidia edition of 2GB or 4GB? I'm not even sure I should be getting an ASUS card manufacturer instead of gigabyte or others maybe. Suggestions and help please. As much as I can get. What should i do? Both of them also point that its "Factory overclocked" does that mean its already overclocked? because I don't want that, having the ability to go overclocked only when running high end games or those things that recommend more power is okay but having an overclocked pc all the time will only lessen my performance and stability in the long run. Want a graphics card that can handle graphical work and rendering and high end games as well. Want the perfect combination of a graphics card able to handle all those things. For my use: well not particularly a gamer but do enjoy the capability of running high end games. I mean I'd like to have the capability of a pc for it, im more or a performance maniac in that respect. :D Also, speaking of performance, have been caught between these choices as well. If you wonderful guys and girls could help me out at this too. I'll owe you a cookie. :D Processor: *Intel Core i7 4790K *INTEL PROCESSOR i5 4670K *INTEL PROCESSOR i5 4670 What do i do? I do enjoy more ghz . As i said performance maniac... Go ahead and leave as many thoughts and comments as you'd like. I'm here to read and reply to every one of them. ! Cheers guys and girls.! . :D

Hi guys, I was searching about NVIDIA GTX 750 TI, when I found that GTX 670 which released long before is better than 750TI. I also found that GTX 960 is better than the both. So, my question is what does these no.'s represent if not performance order? And what's the way to see graphic cards from NVIDIA in performance wise order as I don't want to spend hours to check each graphic card and their performances. I am new with these things and I am really confused. Thanks.
