I have a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1060 6GB and on idle it gets hot to 60C (140F). I've reinstalled windows because i thought it might help but no. I also run my computer without side panel because then it gets to 80C on idle. When i crank up the fans to 100% in afterburner it goes down to 40C and in game on 100% fans its 60C. Any ideas?

Hi all, I was wondering what the best GPU to pair with a 3700X is? I was thinking 2060 super or 2070 super but I am not sure. I am also open to the newest RTX 30 series cards. Feedback is appreciated!

Hi I have a MSI gf 75thin 9sd and I have a display issue where sometimes my screen flickers on YouTube if I pause a video and scroll down or up it turns the video completely green and on other applications like google or steam it makes the screen flicker. a few weeks ago my little sister accidentally made it fall on the ground and it landed on the screen and slammed shut I did update my Integrated GPU and I am using windows 11 so that may be the problem. my drivers are updated I also tried to go to Nvidia control panel and switch the preferred gpu for chrome but there was no effect Specs: OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit CPU: i7 9750H RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel ADATA (19-19-19-43) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (MSI) IGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 (MSI)

Hi everyone, my GPU is GTX 460, CPU is Xeon E3-1220 V3, and motherboard is Gigabyte H81M-DS2V (rev 1.0) with latest BIOS version F6. My problem is that my GPU always runs on PCIe 1.1 even at full load (gaming) and won't go back to running on PCIe 2.0 unless I restart my PC. This problem makes the games I play always lag and unstable. This problem appears randomly and after I browse in the browser (Google Chrome). After I closed this browser and checked GPU-Z suddenly my GPU was running on PCIe 1.1. I think it's just my GPU's power saving feature. After I try to load my GPU 100% by playing games my GPU is still running on PCIe 1.1. Below is a photo of GPU-Z and the related issues I'm having. • Photos before the problem occurred: 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: This is a photo of my GPU test after I just turned on the PC with a full load state. • Photos after the problem occurred: 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: This is a photo of my GPU test after I browsed using a browser (Google Chrome) with a full load state. What I've done to fix this problem but it doesn't work: Setting the motherboard BIOS to run only on PCIe 2.0 Flashing GPU BIOS using the latest version Reinstall the NVIDIA GPU driver Setting the GPU driver (NVIDIA Control Panel) to run at maximum performance Clean and repaste my GPU My question is what is the problem I am having and how to fix this problem?

Hi guys! So basically I am broke as hell and trying to spend what money I have wisely. I want to figure out what would be the best card for what I'm doing, I don't want to get the wrong card and have to pray that it can be returned, since even some of the low-mid cards will likely almost wipe me clean. I am trying to start streaming and currently my build looks pretty good, I think, but it is definitely lacking in the GPU department. My CPU and RAM are handling OBS and some of the other software I'm using beautifully but I know my GPU is going to explode if I try to stream, use two monitors, and play anything more than very low GPU intensive games all at once. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x GPU: GTX 1650 4gb RAM: 32gb ( Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4x8gb) MB: MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max SSD's: 970 Evo Plus NvMe 500gb & 860 Evo SSD 500gb PSU: RM850x 850 Watt 80+ Gold Certified (Yes it is overkill but I was future proofing) What do you think would be the most cost effective and work the best for what I am trying to do? Ideally I was hoping to get a 2060 Super but it's very hard to find it and I will have to save money for a while to afford it. I was also looking at a 1660 Super as an option but the price is so high on that as well that I was thinking if I'm going to save up hundreds of dollars it might be better to just get the 2060s for the extra v-ram at that point. Or do you think the 1650 will be enough? Could it handle certain mid-high gpu intensity games without overheating or dropping tons of frames? Thank you in advance for the advice.

So i downloaded Battlefield V just last night like i said in the title , and these white boxes started scaring me when i first saw them but it calmed me down a bit as well knowing they are just around vehicles tho i am still concerned , are these artifacts ? or are they a game bug or are they just the seats in the vehicle ? i am sorry for my paranoia i just really need to make sure my pc is safe. Hello! I am currently on a 60hz monitor for the past few years and I was considering going for a 144hz monitor. But I am a bit skeptical that my graphics card won't handle 144hz in gaming. My GPU is the MSI GTX 1650 Super Aero ITX OC Edition (4GB GDDR6 V-RAM). And if needed, My CPU is the Intel Core i5-11400F (6 Cores/12 Threads). And about my GPU not handing 144hz when gaming, I'd like to have my graphics preset usually high or ultra (if capable). I was wondering with what to go with, either a new GPU (The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 3050 OC Edition 8GB) for $610. Or get the AOC C24G1 144Hz 24” Curved Display for $255. Prices are high in Palestine so I can't really do much. I would love to your opinions on this and I'd appreciate it! Thanks! PS: Also sorry if I am using the wrong topic, I am a bit new to the forums and I don't use them as often.

This is how I plan to upgrade my computer. I already have the GTX 780TI, 500GB SSD, and a 550W version of the power supply that plan to use. I will also be buying a two way spliter for a 4 pin fan connector, two blue rgb corsair fans, and black grills for the fans so cord don't get caught in them. Hey guys, first post to ltt forum. I currently have a gtx 1080 with my 5900x. Obviously I'm running into gpu bottlenecks. I currently play 144hz 1080p. Eventually I would like to go to 4k gaming, but that's atleast another year. With this computer it is strictly for gaming, nothing else. I mostly play single player games and am looking for a excellent visual experience. Obviously I don't want anything below 60fps but I don't need 500fps for multi-player shooters. Should I just bite the bullet and get a 3080 ( I found some for 1500 CAD that ship from the US and not china) Or should I wait for the 4000 series as the 1080 limps along just fine?

Hi, this morning I woke up and went to turn my computer on and nothing happened. The lights on my motherboard are still on so I figured maybe it had something to do with the power button. When I removed the cable for my front IO I noticed some corrosion on the pins it was connected to. Basically I'm trying to diagnose why my PCs not booting but I can't jump start it and I think the corrosion is the issue. Does anyone know any way to start an Asrock B450 motherboard any other way? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

I own a Zephyrus G14 (ryzen7 4800hs and 1650ti). When I open armoury crate my gpu frequency is 300 Hz constant but has 0% utilization. No program shown in nvidia gpu activity tool on taskbar. I would have just ignored it but this has affected my temps. (around 50 degrees all the time compared to 35-40 degrees previously). Things I have already tried to fix it (but didn't fix it) -scanned my system for virus nd malware through various platforms. -deleted unwanted apps -cleared my browser data and cookies. I really have no Idea why this is happening please HELP MEEEE.!!!

Recently my graphics card suffered a short circuit and I sent it to repair, so far it has worked perfectly but I was monitoring with HWinfo64 and I noticed that in the data of "GPU Rails Power" marks as 132.235w and "GPU Power" marks as 118.942w the maximum value is this normal? I leave the screenshot of HWinfo (the screenshot I made after playing) and I need to know if all the values are correct or there may be a problem?

I have been looking at 980 Ti GPU's on eBay, and found that their prices are surprisingly cheap, considering that they aren't too far off the performance of an RTX 2060. I was wondering if this is a good alternative to spending lots of money and maybe just a card to keep me playing newer games until prices go down? I have a GTX 660 Ti right now and my dad has a GTX 1060 3GB. We have overkill PC's for what our Graphics cards are capable of, he has a Core i5 10400F, 32 GB of 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM, Geforce GTX 1060 3GB, and a 500 GB NVMe SSD + 2 TB Hard Drive. I have a Ryzen 5 2600x,16 GB of 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM, EVGA GTX 660 Ti, and a 500 GB NVMe SSD + 3 TB (very old) Hard Drive. The only games my dad plays are MSFS 2020 and the Sims 4, while I play mostly racing games, such as Assetto Corsa, ACC, FH5, F1 2021 and others. We are both looking to getting an RTX 2080 Ti once the prices drop, but until then, is a GTX 980 Ti worth it, or are there any other alternatives? Personally my budget is about $600 AUD ($450) and I am not sure about my dads, but I think it is similar. We both also use 1440p monitors, so 4k performance isn't a necessity. I have an Xbox Series X as well, but I love the mods in Assetto Corsa and some games that aren't on console, such as Euro Truck Simulator and BeamNG, and my dad prefers to have a PC so he can have mods in Flight Simulator as well. Update: My dad isn't looking to upgrade at all so and the only games I will be playing is Assetto Corsa, F1 2020, BeamNG, Euro Truck Simulator and all of those games (except for F1 2020) are 8+ years old and don't need a newer card to run them at 1440p. So for me this would be a worthwhile upgrade. Update (1st of March) I now have a GTX 1070Ti, and I am very happy with it. All my games get 100 fps+ so it was a worthwhile upgrade. It cost me $525 AUD so about the same price as the 980 Ti was 2 months ago. I have it overclocked to 1080 levels of performance, so until GPU prices decrease dramatically, I am not going to upgrade. Update (18th of July) I have since upgraded my whole pc, I now have a Ryzen 5600x and a 3060 Ti, and the 1070 Ti has gone to my dad.

I have a GTX 980 ti right now it works great but I've seen a GTX 1660 ti on my area for around the price I could sell my 980 ti. Given the situation I think the 1660 ti will hold it's value better in the future the 980 ti is starting to age, it still is a good performing card it's a dinosaur by now. Also the 1660 ti can mine and be profitable my 980 ti hardly covers the cost off electricity ( I'm thinking off doing a bit off mining during the time I'm not at home ) What do you guys think is it worth the swap ?

Is 370$US a good price for a used Asus GTX 1070 Turbo? I am currently upgrading my prebuilt pc's GPU. It has a 750Ti. Online I saw an auction for a used Asus 1070 Turbo for 340CHF (370$US) and it seemed like a good price, so I bought it. But is it actually a good price? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Found a Gainward GTX 970 4gb on Facebook Marketplace listed at ≈150USD, is this worth it? If no, what'd be a reasonable price?

I updated to the latest version of Windows 10 recently and all is well until not long after the system started becoming slow. The previous thread I started seemed to have solved, however games still perform like trash despite the system itself not being slow. I tried installing newer drivers, then rolling back, then uninstalling it using DDU and then installing the driver again, then uninstalling it once more and opting to get a driver from Windows Update. All of which proved futile. No matter which drivers I use, no matter if I install them clean or not, it still runs like crap. Please help me. My Specs (HP Pavilion Gaming-15 Laptop): GTX 1650 4GB Intel Core i5 9300H 8x2 GB RAM 2333 MHz 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD Windows 10 64-bit

i have a reference GTX 980, and i was wondering what the screw size is on the spring retension that mount the cooler to the card. i need to order a replacement set since one of mine stripped after last disasembly so its basically impossible to get a proper mount
