Zotac was great. They sent me a new GTX 970 after I sent them my GTX 770 but here is where it gets really bad. This card not even a year later is showing the fan controller issues my GTX 770 showed. Fans are running at high speeds, but software doesn't know about it... like.... what? AGAIN... 1 fan is slower and one is running what must be almost near max speed. Unbelievable.

So I currently have a 770 from msi, and after some overclocking I can run doom at around high settings with 60+ fps. However, I'm considering moving up to 1440p (my dad might upgrade to 4k, so I can ge his old screen) and since the 770 only has 2GB of vram I'm afraid it won't run most AAA games at that resolution. I'm currently thinking of getting a 4GB 480, but I'd like to hear someone else's opinion (btw I also don't have such a big budget, I'd say max 250 euros and in my country the cheapest 1060 is 290)

Immediately apologize for my bad English. -Currently I don't have job, so I'm not really in the money. I want to upgrade my old PC with something little bit more to today's standards. Currently i have: CPU: -Intel Pentium G630 Mobo: - Gigabyte GA-H61M-HD2 GPU: -Sapphire Radeon HD4870 512mb DDR5 256bit DX10.1 RAM: -Kingston 4GB 1600MHz HDD: 160GB Samsung PSU: Shame on me but i don't really remember. I know it's 430W -I think this is all you need to know. -I am interested into buying i5 3470 and GTX 670/770. I hope you have some advices for me. I don't know which PSU should i buy and is this good for these days. Like i said on beggining, this is only temporarily build.

Hi! I've been troubleshooting this all over the internet for about 1 month now, and I'm hitting a dead end. I have a Gigabyte WindForce 3X GTX 770 2GB that I've been having some trouble with: It seems that this card can't sustain any overclock. I understand that this is a factory OC card, so I won't be able to get anything major out of it but still I'm staggered about the fact that it can't sustain a +15mhz OC in Furmark for 2 minutes (even if i crank up the voltage +0.150V) without the driver crashing. Speaking of crashes I've been experiencing the same crash in 2 games recently (Witcher 3, Rainbow Six Siege): Screen goes black (Screen losing input signal), sound distorts and the computer won't recover without a restart. This crash is rare in R6 (happens seemingly randomly), but in Witcher 3 it's consistent (in mostly during a cut scenes). It seems that under clocking the GPU by 50 mhz gets rid of this problem. So my question here is as follows: Is this a bad case of silicon lottery, or maybe my GPU is breaking down? Things that I've tried: Changing the PSU from Nexus 1000w to Corsair CXM850M (no effect) Updating the GPU's Bios (no effect) Ccleaner system cleanup and clean installing the GPU drivers (no effect) Running GPU at stock speed with various voltage offsets (no effect) My system specs: CPU/APU: AMD a10 6800k (OC 4,7 GHZ, Vcore 1.47500) Mobo: Asus F2a85-v pro PSU: Corsair CXM850M OS: Win 7 Edit: GPU temp never reaches 70 Celcius GPU power consumption 85 - 90 % under full load CPU temp never surpasses 55 Celcius

I am building a PC with the following specs: Pentium g4400 Gigabyte Ga-h110m Matx Gskill nt series 8gb(2133mhz ddr4) Xfx r7 360 2gb Seasonic s12ii 520watt 80+ bronze The r7 360 is ~90$. Would it be a good idea to go with a gtx 770 used for about 100-120$ instead. I want to play new games such as battlefield 1 and GTA 5 at medium settings 60fps. Are there any other used or new graphics cards in the 100-120$ range that are better? Thanks

I had originally planned on upgrading to a GTX 1080 but seeing as all the 1080's are no where near the $500-600 mark they were supposed to be at I've decided to go for price to performance. I tend to not buy the newest games but instead like to play older games at really high settings and resolutions. I plan to mainly play at 2560 by 1440 or lower resolutions. I was worried about picking up a GTX 1060 or RX 480 because even though I heard they could play games at 1440p it was a stretch. The games I currently play that I would like to play at higher settings are: Ashes of the Singularity Metal Gear Solid 5 Skyrim (with 2K and 4K textures, graphics mods, basically every mod that makes it hard to run) All the Bioshocks Final Fantasy (any of the PC ones) Lots of Emulators (Specifically a Wii one because my Wii broke and I'm not willing to buy a Wii U) Total War Shogun 2 Wolfenstein The New Order Superhot Portal 1&2 Games I currently can't play at 1440p even with low settings (which I wouldn't want to anyway) Doom The Witcher 3 Fallout 4 Dragon Age Inquisition Crysis 3 Mirror's Edge Catalyst Overwatch (don't actually have it yet and I probably could play it but haven't tried) Basically what card could I go that could play all those games at least (I would like to go higher) 60 fps at 1440p on Ultra settings? Also, if this card could have a bit of future proof buffer it would be great because I don't want to worry about buying a new graphics card for another year or so.

I need help. I just bought Rise of the Tomb Raider, and so far I can't really play the game. Nvidia drivers won't let me! After 30 minutes of gameplay or something like that, game freezes, driver says it has shutdown and recovered, and I receive a message from the game saying "there was a problem with your video driver". Worse than that is the fact that when this happens, the core Clock of my GPU goes down to 535.6MHz and nothing I do will bring it back to normal, so I need to reboot PC and the clock comes back to normal. I already installed 10 DIFFERENT DRIVERS. Some from early 2015, some from the end of 2015, some from the beginning of 2016 and the most recent ones too. Nothing seems to fix this. Nothing! My PSU is totally capable of running this card since its a XFX TS 750W (it's new and totally not faulty). Also, the GPU is not overheating, since she only reaches 66ºC as maximum temperature (when I get this crashes sometimes she is even at 60ºC). I also tried changing nvidia's control panel setting to "prefer maximum performance", and nothing happens.. I tried to underclock the GPU 100MHz on core/memory clock, but the same happens.. Soooooo.. I really don't know what to do next.. I've tried everything, and I know for sure, it's not a hardware problem nor heat issues.. What can I do?!?

i have some overheating issues with my 3 way setup of gtx 770 ,i started a project of modifying a power mac g5 case i thinking of putting 9 expansion slots so i can 3 way sli with a slot in between i already bought a asus 3 way sli bridge flexible off ebay but know i need some pci-e riser i have my eye on these two \/ both the size is more than enough for my plans which one should i pick , or recommend one yourself ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/SINTECH-PCI-e-express-16X-Riser-Extend-Card-15cm-high-speed-Foiled-Cable/321571814072?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140602152332%26meid%3D2c8404c8aa4e4934b81240c061270377%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D321362874331) (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sintech-PCI-e-express-16X-Riser-Extender-Card-5cm-high-speed-Flexible-Cable/221770562888?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D777000%26algo%3DABA.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131227121020%26meid%3Ddfd5b4f15d2b4ab6a21943bea88fc7c7%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D321571814072)

So I recently got a gtx 770 from msi with a reference design cooler. I plugged it in and works fine until I start something gpu intensive and then the screen begins to constantly go black and back to the normal display as if it was updating the resolution and after a while it just stay black but the computer is still working as I still hear the music from the game. Tried a second gpu I have to make sure it wasn't something else but it works fine with the old gpu. Any suggestions?

need help here, I got a nvidia gtx 770 2 Gb, I've had it for 2.5 years. It's a pretty good card better than I expected actually, but is it worth changing to the rx 480? (considering the fact that I can sell mine for about 150$) to add to that i got a intel core i7 4770 3.4 ghz, 8 gb ram ddr3 (pretty good, i saved up a lot to get such a rig) most games run at high to ultra (rainbow six siege, gta 5, fifa 16, ryse son of rome, dying light, mad max, mortal kombat x, fallout 4, even doom beta i played on high settings), but the issue is i'm afraid this card may not have much left in it with the new generation of cards coming out so, is it worth getting the rx 480? or do i save up to a gtx 1070? any suggestions, advice? would be glad to hear from u guys

Hey i recently got a used msi TF gtx 770 oc edition(2gb), its about 2 years old. The thing is i got it for like 1/3rd the price it was originally bought for, so has 770 become too old? or is there anything that i should be worried about?

So I'm building a PC for a friend and I'm on a 500* euro budget. I've settled by a GTX 770, 8Gb of ddr3 ram an Asrock mother board (Asrock 90-MXGWV0-A0UAYZ AMD 770 Socket AM3+ ), and an fx 8350. I need some help to know if this will be good enough for GTA 5 and BO3 at 1080p.I think the fx 8350 is a bit overkill so if anyone thinks the same please tell me. I also dont know what kind of psu I will be needing so I would really appreciate if you could help me with that. Do you have any suggestion for the case, I dont know if he wants to show everybody the pc or if it will be sitting under a desk. Any suggestion would be wellcome. *PS: the 500euro budget isnt a limitation he is willing to spend a litle bit more but not much

I'm quite concerned as my GTX 770 Palit Jetstream is reaching 95 degrees celcius in FurMark and sounding like a jet engine. Is this normal? I'm thinking thermal compound issue at this point as it seems way too high for a 3 fan open cooler in a full tower. I should also add that these temps were recorded in late February in England ( so not exactly a warm environment ). It was also a gift so RMA is not really a great option. It only comes up as I recently made a dirt cheap custom water cooling loop and I am considering adding the GPU to the loop if the 95 degree incited jet engine sounds are normal. Otherwise I will just order some non conductive thermal compound and replace the goop. Does anyone else have a similar problem? Perhaps with a different cooler?

I have a gtx 770 and I wanted to put a back plate on it. This thing doesn't have to last, it's just for a quick demo and the black PCB is bothering me. It takes away from the rest of the build. and...... I have 2 days to do it.

I have a GTX 770 right now but if feels like it's starting to lag behind. Will a 780 be any better? The main problem I have been having it that I'm running out of memory on the card. I love playing 3D intensive games that pull on both the CPU and the GPU but I don't think my i7-5820K is the part that's lacking. Should I wait? Any thoughts? You know what to do.

Hello, I am planning on upgrading my Computer in April and saw the SLI guide, read about keeping an old GPU for PhysX, so I thought about if its worth keeping my old GTX 770 from gigabyte, 4gb edition as a dedicated PhysX card alone. Currently running 2 GTX 770 in SLI, would sell one and keep the other. New GPU would be a single GTX 980 Ti paired with the left over 770 as a PhysX card. Worth it? or would the 770 slow down the 980 Ti? Im gaming on a 144Hz 1440p monitor with G-Synch. new CPU would be either an i7-6800k or an i7-5820k, cant decide yet. Might aswell ask for help regarding the CPU. Thanks in advance!

So I suppose I didn't notice it when the game came out because I suppose I was wearing rose-tinted glasses about it, but I have had micro-stutter with it for as long as it has been out. None of the hotfix patches have fixed it or even helped. I'm about to tear my hair out over this so I made an account (after being a long time Youtube subscriber, of course) in the hopes of getting this fixed. I was running at 1080p with most settings around med-high except shadows, which were on low and for antialiasing, order-independent transparency, dynamic shadows, motion blur, ambient occlusion, and sub-surface scattering, which were all off. My rig is as follows: CPU - AMD FX-8320 @3.5GHz (turbos to 4GHz, never overclocked) CPU Cooler - CoolerMaster Hyper212 Evo Aircooler (in Push-Pull configuration) Motherboard - MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard RAM - x2 8Gb sticks of AData DDR3 Ram (16Gb total) GPU - Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce (2Gb Vram) (running at default clock speeds) PSU - EVGA Supernova 750 G2 (80 Plus Gold Certified) Chassis/Case - NZXT S340 ATX Case Cooling/Fans - 4 Case fans (2 intake at the front, 1 on top to exhaust, one in the back to exhaust) HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1TB (for programs) SSD - Samsung 850 EVO (for OS) It seems to only be Black Ops 3 (and wierdly, the Valley Benchmark) that runs like this. Black Ops 1 and 2, Borderlands 2, and Dragonball Xenoverse all run fine. All these were ran at 1080p with everything as high as it could go, except in the case for Black Ops 3, of course. I use MSI Afterburner's custom fan curve utility to run a custom fan curve to keep my hard cooler, and it never really even touches 60c under load, so it's not an overheating problem. I've monitored Vram usage in-game with GPU-Z and it never goes above 1.8 Gb. I know this is only a 2Gb card, so perhaps i'm just hitting the Vram limit and that's what's causing the stutter. I've tried uninstalling the drivers and then doing a fresh, clean install multiple times to no avail. I tried to use an old 750ti I had but my rig wouldn't even boot with it in. The CPU shouldn't be bottlenecking the GPU and the temps are all fine. I can't RMA the card either, since I bought it from reddit very lightly used, but otherwise has performed fine. I've tried all the little config edits that people have made in the "players" folder of Steam to no avail. Also tried messing around with some Nvidia control panel settings I heard could help (Maximum Prerendered frames and Performance mode). Changing the power mode to performance got me a little boost in FPS, but didn't stop the stuttering and the Prerendered Frames option didn't help either. Anybody have any recommendations other than to wait on the game to be better optimized?

I'm talking about this. I know it isn't in the compatibility list, but would it really not fit a galaxy 770?

So today I bought GTX 750ti for folding at home and later use as a gaming card for my brothers pc. but after I installed the GPU installed the drivers restarted my computer. I loaded up FAHControl and let both of my GPUs fold the 770 was and still is folding just fine. but when I try to fold on both GPUs the GTX 750ti always fail. It will run by it self but not together. how could this be. I got the card for 110 euros and got the G3258 with it (the overclockable Pentium, which ill be using for that same gaming pc). does anyone have any expiriecne with folding on windows with multiple different GPUs. Thank u in advanced
