For a few months now, my PC has been giving me a lot of problems regarding nvidia. I have GTX 1070 ti Whenever I boot up my PC and then start a video on YT or a Gif, my screen goes black, flashes, I hear a USB disconnection noise, and then comes back. Sometimes after said blink/disconnection, my taskbar icons disappear. When I try to play a game in fullscreen in a different (lower) resolution than native, it will not let me. It just plays the game in a tiny window on the corner of my screen. When I open Geforce experience, I find that it has uninstalled itself. A few days ago, said blink led to a BSOD, which left a memory dump with nvlddmkm.sys as the error. Does anybody who's experienced this before have any idea what is going on with my drivers/card?

Around 2 months ago one of my friends that I built a computer for has been having a problem where his monitor randomly goes black and then he has to do a hard shutoff of his computer and then he has to reinstall drivers. His specs: RX XFX 470 ryzen 5 1600 16gb 3200mhz (8x2) 240gb ssd 1tb hdd asrock a320m/ac Everything was working fine apart from some wifi problems (because being the smart people we are forgot to attach the wifi antennas) After doing additonal research we have found out that the problems are most likely all due to drivers and we don't know where to find the cras/error logs. Any help would be greatly appreaciated!

So essentially, I’m getting an error while randomly in the middle of either a gaming session or creating stuff in Unity, both my side monitors shut off and my computer kinda does this little reset. Programs are still open, ones that are using 3D stuff are fucked, apps like discord seem to recognize my audio devices as being changed. I diagnose a driver issue and DDU. Now, I used an old version of the device driver uninstaller (from August I think) but I figured it’d still work, still the same graphics card and all that. This is after checking for a driver update and GeForce Experience being itself and not installing an update. So I perform the DDU in safe mode, go back into normal windows, download my drivers (PC 3070), start to install. I select the directory I want, tell it to start, nothing more. Now, this is where the problems begin. NVidia Installer spends an indefinite amount of time on “Checking system compatibility”. 20 minutes later, I kill the installer (it only lets me do so via Task Manager), try it again, same result, delete it and reinstall the installer, same issue. Reset my computer, same issue. So, thats the issue right now. Any help would be appreciated. Also I think I accidentally put two spoilers there on accident, please disregard if it’s visible in the final post.

Basically, for about three weeks now I've had a problem where my drivers would out of nowhere without any notification just downgrade or update themselves to this version that I've never heard of, the 21.30.23 drivers release. I've disabled Windows Updates, and I've had this issue happen three times. Every time, I would try to record something and notice ReLive won't start, then I open AMD and I see it's got no ReLive cause it's downloaded these stupid drivers. I did a clean install of 21.10.2 with DDU two times when the issue occured, and once with AMD Cleanup. Just now, it happened again, whilst I was playing a game. No screen flickering, no notification pop ups, nothing. I rolled back the drivers and will see if it happens again. The drivers that keep being downloaded for whatever reason: https://imgur.com/X17d2rO

So basically the new AMD Vega 11 drivers were released and I wanted to update my integrated graphics card. I own a Ryzen 5 2400g processor without any graphics card. After I run driver booster (an app I use for updating drivers) and restarted my Pc a weird error occurred. The computer had a bad time turning on and showed a black blank screen. It started after several hours and it worked poorly. Two days later it just started crashing and coming into self-repair while starting but it didn't get me anywhere because a srttrail.txt error has appeared. I also tried the "SFC /scannow" command, fixing a problem with dism but it lead me to more errors like bad system config info. Also, I couldn't run the system in the safe mode due to srttrail.txt error I mentioned earlier. I fought with it the whole night and ultimately I installed Debian on my second disc, cleaned my primary one and installed new Windows 10 64bit. However, it gave me nothing. The same error with drivers appears when I try to install new drivers. I used dedicated AMD software, driver booster, and windows updater itself and I still need to restore my system to the point no drivers were installed every time I try to turn my Pc on. Also, a bluscreenviewer file is attached, maybe it can help a bit. I will be very grateful for any tips on how to fix this. So yesterday 29/1/2022 or 1/29/2022, i was browsing my computer settings when i stable on the Radeon software that my CBS was been in PCI 3.0 x8 rather in x16 setting, so i started searching why and how to fix that, i searched threw my BIOS settings for my pci option and it was in x16 mode not in split or other options that could change them. What i dont remember from very previous days is to check if my gpu was running in x16 or x8. after I made a change to my pc, i plugged a audio card in my first pci slot (cause of space) on my vertical mount gpu with the extenter, after i unplugged my audio card to check other options of how to manage my extenter in order to plug the audio card in the pcie slot..... To summarise when i turned on the pc it was dropping some bluescreens (i dont remember the codes that was posting) after a while and unplugged audio card eventually my pc was keep crashing (with the classic AMD issue detection message)+blackscreens for a sec on 2-3 games on startup that i had to check on. Internet forums didnt have this specific problem to understand why was it happening in order to use one method and be done with this. What i did to try and solve the problem is to try the internet solutions of- -CMD SFC etc etc nothing of that 4 options worked -FRESH windows Install and again the same -DDU like 4 times before and after the Fresh windows install with 2 different Software versions nothing The holl point of what im trying to say is that 3 Bscreens and it created this problem? I could count that it might be something with the extenter or the graphics card but the games starts WHEN the Software is closed (like it didnt turn on or i closed it). Something important All this specs was working well before i started uplugging my audio card, GPU, extenter. Radeon software was in 21.12.1 and now im using 22.1.2. So I just got for a present a Razer Blade 15 Base 2021 second hand. Everything was alright before the factory reset all games were working and it had no issues or alerts but from there everything went downhill. After finishing windows setup I opened Task Manager to see if everything was there except one thing, the RTX 3060. First I thought that there is a driver issue so I updated all of them and tried to start NVidia control panel with no success. GeForce Now downloads the driver and installs it but the prompt for installing it is still there. Next up I opened the device manager to see if it even detects the graphics card and it is there along with the intel HD graphics but it has error code 43. After uninstalling the device and rebooting my computer the error disappears and it says "This device is working properly" but, and there is a big but, at location details it says: "PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0)". I thought that maybe it was disabled in the bios but after accessing it I couldn't find any option to enable it. I tried to find the solution the last 2 days with little to none success but the end of the semester approaches so I have some exams and I was trying to repair it in one week time in order to get it ready for those. I hope that it is fixable software wise because if it isn't than back to my Pentium laptop. Thank you in advance for your help. PS. I tried contacting razer support but with no response yet.

Recently I’ve been having very very bad issues with my gpu, im almost positive that its my drivers because i got an rma replacement for my gpu and its still doing this, i tried replacing the cable and trying a different monitor and it still does it. Whenever i boot up and just when its running my screen has bad glitches all over (shown in pics), i’ve tried using DDU and reinstalling my drivers but that didn’t work, and everytime I try to run the amd radeon software when i reinstall it always says that it is incompatible, help please! I've been having some weird problems with my RX 580 in most of my games, when I play games like sea of thieves and such I can't manage to run it at 60 fps, for some reason when I release the framecap and it goes to 60 fps I can run it for a few seconds and than my fans start speeding up a ton and my game crashes sometimes there is some artifacting even when I'm playing at 30 fps, for some reason I can also run the games at max settings on 30 fps, but it can't run 60 fps on lowest. I have already tried a lot of things with the drivers and I recently had a cpu and motherboard upgrade, but it doesn't seem to help. Hello peeps, I had a RX 5500 XT 4Gb in my build for a bout a year then decided to upgrade my monitor by adding a 2k 165Hz then I got a 4k TV since then the GPU has been having some issues so I tried updating the driver and id still have some minor issue but once I DDU I couldn't install any drivers and every time I did try to install a driver from (ASUS website or AMD website) and the automatic thingy GPU detector, id still get this error 182. I did a complete format of my PC reinstalled Windows and updated everything and still experiencing this error. Anyone can recommend anything? Is the GPU broken? NB: in Device Manager, I get 2 devices Intel UHD Graphic 630 (my CPU) and Microsoft Basic Display Adapter with a yellow warning sign next to it Intel 10700K Asus Dual RX 5500XT 4Gb 32Gb RAM 3200Mhz NVME 1tb XPG Z490 E Asus ROG

Is third-party driver update software like DriverEasy and Driver Booster worth using compared to Windows Update? Or are they just scams and don't help your computer/laptop at all? I've used DriverEasy for updating my drivers, and it's been working well for me at least. Are your experiences similar to mine or different with these programs?

gpu Blue screen of death and error 43, possiby bricked GPU
TonyPSN posted a topic in Troubleshooting
during gaming my laptop crashed abruptly displaying the :( blue screen. CPU is working fine but GPU isn't responding, I checked display adapters in device manager and it showed error 43. So far I've uninstalled and reinstalled nvidia drivers 6 or 7 times including using older versions, also used DDU to make sure, and did a system restore but still same result (nvidia control panels won't open and geforce is limited to updates only). Yet to have touch the bios but I'm suspecting it's something to do with the vrm overheating leading to crash but it's still early days. I'm wondering if this is fixable or is my gpu bricked, would mean the world if anyone can help out -
Relatively new here so I'm sorry if this isn't the place to post this. I'm planning to switch from Wi-Fi to ethernet but I realized that I don't even have the drivers installed. I've been trying to find the correct drivers to install for it but it seems none of them are actually being installed. So I'm wondering if I'm even downloading the correct ones. Hi, Ok, this is my last resort here, I'm trying to fix my brothers surface pro 3. I've tried everything I know on this and it still isn't working! Initially he gave it to me to replace the screen, which I did with no issues, the screen and the touchscreen worked no problem. However upon booting into Windows 10, it kept giving me an exclamation in the device manager for the Surface Pro Touch Controller Firmware. I uninstalled it and let it reinstall from windows update and rebooted. - This is where the real problems began and only got worse. Upon rebooting, the touch screen no longer works and hasn't since, the keyboard cover and touchpad have stopped working, the battery indicator doesn't think there is a battery installed, and the 'start' button doesn't work now either. I'm convinced this isn't a hardware problem as all of these things worked flawlessly before, tested before, during and after replacing the screen. I have gone as far as wiping and reinstalling Windows, and tried installing different versions of the firmware available on Microsoft. But the problem with the firmware persists, and I'm now at a loss on what to do. I did come across one article which concludes that this is an issue on Microsofts side and they never bothered to correct it, I'm hoping someone here can help to either confirm this, or suggest any other steps I can take in order to resolve this. Otherwise it's looking like we will need to get him a new one which would be a shame because the device itself is quite nifty and they're not cheap to replace! Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi everyone I'm having trouble with my computer It has a Q6600 with 8GB RAM and an HD 5850 Everything works until I install the gpu drivers After I install the drivers, Windows loads up, shows me the splash screen And then absolutely nothing, just a black screen. The fans in my pc also ramp up. I've used multiple different drivers through safe mode (of course I used DDU ) and reinstalled windows a few times but it makes no difference. I'm going crazy here, I don't understand why it's not working. It would be awesome if someone could help me. Thanks in advance

Hello fellow... "LTTers"? I wanted to use my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller on my Desktop PC, but the issue is that Nintendo Switch Controllers are dInput, instead of xInput. Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers on Windows should still connect automatically, but the issue is that the controller inputs themselves won't work properly other programs most of the time. You need 3rd party programs, such as BetterJoyforCemu, DS4Windows, or ProconXInput, which use ViGEM (or ScpVBus in ProConXInput's case) and HIDGuardian. Alternatively Steam has its own controller drivers, which I tried as well. So with that context, here's the full order of events: 1) I plugged in my Pro Controller through USB, and Windows detected it, and set it up as a game controller 2) I installed BetterJoyForCemu, and its Drivers [ViGEM & HIDGuardian] 3) Success! It worked! 4) Computer kept Blue Screening in a constant loop for unrelated reasons, and I eventually had to reinstall Windows. 5) Windows would not detect when I plugged in my Pro Controller anymore, no notification, no sound, nothing. 6) Nothing showed up in Device Manager either. 7) I spend over a week trying all the 3rd party solutions listed above. 8) I realize that none of this would work for the issue I'm having, since windows needs to detect the device, as a game controller, before any of these 3rd party solutions could do anything. 9) I make sure all of the windows power settings, such as power saving mode is not messing with the USB ports, (In power mode and in device manager) 10) Still nothing, I completely uninstall all of the 3rd party drivers, using this tutorial: https://vigem.org/projects/ViGEm/How-to-Install/ 11) I try to reinstall each solution individually, to try and see if any of them will work in desperation. 11) I download USBTreeViewer and try to figure out wtf was going on. 12) I am now asking for help, as I realize I am in way over my head, but I feel I am getting closer. p.s. both screenshots were taken 2-3 minutes apart, and the controller was plugged in for both. Reposted because wrong thread I think? It died with no replies for a week under peripherals.

I have an AORUS 2070 Super Rev 1.0 and this has been happening a long time. Most of the time after I restart my computer, my GPU fails to start at all and the only way to get it back is to run a Display Driver Uninstall. After reinstalling the drivers, everything works fine until the next restart. I have replaced every component in my computer since the issue started and the only thing left is the GPU. I have been able to try different GPUs with this config and this issue doesn't come up. A while back I RMA'd the card to Gigabyte and after a long and painful process they sent it back and said it works fine, but nothing has changed. No version of drivers fixes the problem. The only thing I can think of at this point is a corruput VBIOS, but I can't afford to completely lose this card if something were to go wrong. Any ideas or help at all would be greatly appreciated. I have recently made my CAD workstation and have been having so many issues the machine is now unusable. Every time i update my display drivers or try to install my GPU (GTX 1050) drivers my pc always shuts down and upon reboot the screen has a strange glitch when trying to load windows. The machine works fine but as soon as graphics drivers are being installed it crashes immediately. See attached images of the issue with the screen glitching. I have been looking to buy a Quadro to finally finish the system build but I am obviously holding back on that in light of the issues am having. Please see attached images for info about the machine

Any help? Os: Win 10 pro 21H1 CPU: i5 2400 GPU: GTX 1650 s Ram: 12gb PSU: some 80 plus bronze deep cool 450w unit (reliable works tested)

So I recently got my hands on a Panasonic CF-29 toughbook. I reinstalled windows xp and now I am on a driver hunt. I really need help looking for drivers, I’ve been looking for days trying to find them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The model number of my laptop is CF-29LQQGCBM (mark 4).
