Hi, so I factory resetted my phone because everytime I wanted to download an app it said that my memory was full, but I didn't even have any apps on it, I had this problem before but not so bad, my phone even says I have 100mb left and I can't even download a 300kbyte app, so reset my phone, it starts up like normal but when I hold the sleep button normally it says that I can put my phone in airplane mode and other options so I checked in setting and it said that normally I should be able to put it in airplane mode that way, but it doesn't, another thing is, I don't have a lockscreen, I tried putting: pin, pattern, slide, everything but I get no lockscreen, another thing is that I am unable to use the home button so I have to use the back button everytime,I can't use profiles either, and alot of settings options are gone, help

So, my Huawei U8650 (Sonic) phone is doing weird things... I have it running rooted, installed ClockworkMod based Recovery and running CyanogenMod 7.2 Ultimate (from htcmania) and kinda fixed the problems I had with the phone earlier. Until now. Now the battery drains almost twice per day, when using messenger, instagram and snapchat half the day (when I'm not at school) - I replaced the battery with a cheapo one, because I thought that the problem with apps randomly crashing was the battery. Then, the phone randomly reboots when I want to tie my shoelaces (I think because of it bending a bit). Aaaand the last one is weird - the phone started to randomly unmount and then to mount the SD card... That's not the first time of it doing that. The card is okay, runs normally when loaded through a micro SD to SD adapter Yesterday morning, I was listening to some music from my Google Drive account, and then I wanted to load a new song from it - it loaded, loaded, and then a screen pops up: "Can't load the file, because internet connection stopped. Please try again", or sth like that. Then I hit Try Again, and another screen pops up: "Google Drive crashed". Okay, I started the app again, everything went normally until the evening... In the evening, I launched Google Drive, started to listen to some music. Same story. Tried to open a new song - error and a crash. But then, I went to snapchat and it immediately crashed. Went to instagram - crashed too. Then I restarted the phone. Huawei logo appeared, casual, boot animation started playing and after the animation is NOTHING BUT A BLANK SCREEN with no reaction to what I'm doing. Can see the backlight, but nothing is happening. Left it at that state for 30 min - nothing. After that, I booted up in to recovery mode. Tried to fix the permissions - okay. Then, went to storage (or sth like that) and pressed "Mount /sdcard". Said "E: Can't mount /sdcard!". And after few hits of "Fix Permissions" - it mounted!... kinda. Tried to boot up - the same story. Anyone have an idea of what's wrong? The next question: please recommend a good price/performance smartphone I saw that someone is selling a Nexus 4 16GB in mint condition for 174€, so I got interested in it. Also, someone is selling Moto G (2013 and LTE 2014 editions). What should I buy? I don't want to spend a lot of money, because I'm still saving up for a normal rig... (by the way, now I'm using a very very used phone in a terrible condition - Sony Ericsson K750i) Thanks in advance! Jonas

I recently flashed cyanogenmod to my note 3 and whenever I try to boot up the phone it just stays on a black screen. Luckily I am running safestrap recovery so I can still boot up into stock ROM but any ideas on how to make Cyanogenmod work. Quote MultiQuote Edit

So here is my situation. I'm trying to get as much away from google as possible, both for the privacy issues, and the huge battery drain google apps has on my phone. I've tried uninstalling everything uneccasary google stuff from my rooted phone. Unfortunately that has a tendency to fuck up your phone quite a bit. So in a last desperation attempt at doing this, I installed cyanogenmod, which I quite like, only to find out that even if I install the google play apk, the bloody thing will not run unless I install a bunch of other stuff from google, which was what I was trying to avoid in the first place! I need a bunch of apps from the play store, my entire phone setup depends on it, including backup utilities. I'm not above downloading the apps to my pc then install them on my android from time to time, to keep the apps up to date. Basicly I'm willing to do anything to get play apps without installing all the google stuff. Any ideas on how to do this?

Hi, lately snapchat has started to lag really bad, and it's not just while loading the camera, from i press a snap until it shows, it takes maybe 5-10s. anyone know about this? Anyone know a fix for this? I'm on a Samung Galaxy S3 with Cyanogenmod 11, and this lag issue started before I loaded up Cyanogenmod.

Hi everyone So I've had my S3 for 2 years now, and I'm very happy with it, and not so long ago I put Cyanogenmod on it too, which increased my battery life and stability ^^ However I came to wonder about something. When should you get a new battery? I don't know how fast/slow batteries for smartphones deteriorate, would there be any benefit at all to replace my battery?

I have an HTC One M7 that is currently running CyanogenMod. I would like to revert it back to stock with sense and all and for that I need an RUU. My carrier is Vodafone and I am in the UK and I have not been able to find an RUU for this specific carrier. I have looked here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428276 and I could not see any RUUs there for my device, only OTAs which are the wrong thing I am pretty sure. I have looked for a while for one and cannot seem to find one anywhere. I was wondering if anyone here knew where I could get he correct RUU for my device?

Source: One Plus - https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/week-40-and-so-it-begins-the-oneplus-pre-order-system.117715/ One Plus have announce that they will be introducing a preorder system for their smartphones. Although, they've specified that the invitation system "will exist and serve different purposes.". The only downside with the preorder system is that you wont be sent a One Plus One in stock. It'll be sent "as soon as stock becomes available". A time scale of when that could be wasn't given, and it most likely wont when a customer preorders. One Plus have said that the new pre-order system will be the easiest way to get an OPO but it looks like they are still standing by their invitation system. Personally, after having 2 invites, but not being able to afford to get one at the time of receiving the invite, the pre-order system seems like it'll resolve that problem. It seems like it'll also benefit OPO a great deal, we'll definitely be seeing a lot more of the OPO I think.

Not sure how many members of this forum are users and/or fans of CyanogenMod but this is one feature I personally can't wait for this. the CM team has been teasing a new feature as of recently and have finally revealed what it is: a camera app that will replace the the existing one (which is mostly vanilla). It does take some design cues from the vanilla android camera but it definitely does seem to offer much more functionality, it looks very original, feature-rich and intuitive interface. Anyone who has used the vanilla UI will tell you that is exactly what is lacking from it and Android 4.3 won't help much with that. Geek.com got their hands on a pre-release version of the software and made this video showing us an early glipse of the product: Also here is the official launch video:

I've Rooted my Sprint, Samsung Galaxy S3, SPH-L710 last night, then I installed CyanogenMOD 11 w/Kit Kat 4.4.2 last night. This is what I want to do with my phone, to the scroll effects, to the kernal, this is what I want to do, including overclocking my S3. I really wanted to make my phone as close to STOCK ANDROID as possible, like the Nexus 5, and LG G2 is... that's another reason why I wanted to root & put a custom ROM on my Galaxy S3. I also learned with SetCPU to set the CPU to run at like 384Mhz when the screen is off. etc. Here's a video of my device.. with CyanogenMOD 11 & Kit-Kat 4.4.2 on it. I show the About Phone Info, with Kernal version, etc. http://youtu.be/OIZKC34t_U4 This is the Guy that helped me with his video to CORRECTLY ROOT my Samsung Galaxy S3 SPH-L710 Sprint SmartPhone. I don't know how to put a ROM like the first video shows. I think it's outdated. I don't know how to put a kernal like he has in his video onto my rooted & flashed Galaxy S3.

So I'm having some recent issues with my Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM. I can not seem to get the right coverage from my network. Right now I have the CDMA subscription set to NV, and the System Select to Auto: Domestic & International My question is what are your settings if you are also running cyanogenmod with a Galaxy S3 on Sprint. Thanks for the help! Hope you can see those images lol. To lazy to down size them

Hello Guys, I've been having problems with my phone not entering deep sleep and when it doesn't sleep it stays awake and uses a lot of battery. I installed Wakelock Detector to find a probable cause, but only this seem suspicious to me: If you know anyone that has had experience with this or a different forum that has had experience please link them to this post.

Hi there LTTers! I've been having some trouble with using CyanogenMod's installer for CM11. When I plug my HTC One into my desktop, the installer just seems to hang at trying to detect my HTC One even though Windows can detect it perfectly fine. I've actually had success with getting past this stage of the installer on a different computer, but due to some anti-virus issues I couldn't get past actually installing the ROM onto the phone. "Normally" when the installer actually works, my phone is supposed to ask for permission to enable USB Debugging, but in the case of my desktop my phone never asks and automatically enables it without my permission even if I tell it to revoke all authorizations in the past. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this, or maybe even a solution to this whole problem? I've pretty much isolated the problem to this one issue, but I don't mind other suggestions! Should I try factory resetting my HTC One? Thanks!

So I have been looking around and I could not find any traces of the in-built cpu tweaker everyone says that cyanogenmod includes, where is it? I want to underclock my phone to save battery. Thanks in advance!

Sup guys. I've never done anything with android rooting, loading custom ROMs, or anything of the sort before. I have heard that Cyanogenmod is a good alternative to stock Android, so I think I might go about installing that on my AT&T Galaxy Note 3 (Its the 16GB model with 4G). However, people have told me that the build for the Note 3 is extremely unstable, but some have said that its fine, however, I think I'd like to hear your guy's opinion on it. Also, will following the directions here: http://beta.download.cyanogenmod.org/install be sufficient for the installation on my Note 3? Like I said I have never rooted any android device ever so I don't want to screw anything up. Thanks in advance.

Hey forum, I used the Cyanogenmod installer to install CM11 on my GT-I9505 yesterday. Just came back from my first day at work with it and I'm loving it, apart from the fact that my battery drains significantly faster than on the stock ROM. I'm not sure what to do about this, since I am otherwise really enjoying the experience and would absolutely hate to have to go back to stock. Are there any known tricks you can use to improve battery life? I've done all the obvious stuff, like disable GPS when not needed, underclock CPU to 1.2GHz and set the brightness to auto. But I was wondering, could setting the limit of background processes in developer options to 1 or 2 help? I'm not sure exactly what this does and how it effects performance, but could it help? Also, if there are any custom kernels that are known to work with CM11 and on the SGS4 (does the phone even matter with kernels? I'm a complete noob to this) and improve battery life, I'd love to know.

I know it's not the bread and butter of this forum, but I might find a solution for my problem here.. I've installed CM 10.1.3 stable and I'm pretty sure I did that properly. The GAPPS version I used was 20130812 by the instructions of this page http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Gapps The problems where when the device turn on it kept saying that the gapps are not working. Including the Google Play store and other gapps later on I tried to use an older version (by wiping the phone completly and reinstalling the ROM and the Gapps) of GAPPS (20121011) and it didn't work as well After that I tried to use the newest version ( 20130813) and that was even worse because the keyboard didn't work as well after that I returned to the 20130812. Edit: forgot to mention that I did install root file every time after flashing, also. when I didn't install GAPPS, CM worked with no problems

A few people from CyanogenMod, Steve Kondik (Cyanogen) and Koushik Dutta (Koush) did an Ask Me Anything earlier today on Reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1mnnc6/we_are_steve_cyanogen_kondik_and_koushik_koush/ They answered quite a few questions today that gave us a lot information about the future of the Aftermarket Android OS. Today they also announced the start of CyanogenMod, Inc. http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/a_new_chapter When questioned about how the plan to fund their efforts and more about hardware and the possibility of having devices sold with CyanogenMod installed on them: Also, more information about their installer they have planned, which if done correctly would allow even inexperienced users install CyanogenMod so long as they have a device that supports it. The also reaffirmed their position to keep their OS true to open-source and being friendly to Google How do you feel about an aftermarket version of Android possibly going more mainstream? If you'd never used CyanogenMod before, would you consider try it if the installer works well? Would you consider buying a device that has CyanogenMod preinstalled? If you want to find out more information about CyanogenMod, you can check out http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ or if you would like to contribute code, check out their github https://github.com/CyanogenMod

I was installing a new rom on my android phone (htc sensation), and I looked up some videos about different roms etc, but there isn't much out there to be honest. So I was thinking I would like to see some videos of @Linus and @Slick trying out different roms, maybe some sort of weekly iSwitched with like the roms that are available for most phones (android revolution, cyanogenmod, AOSP, Miui,...) What do you guys think?
-
I really think Linus and Slick should do more phone reviews Linus can do some more iswitched series but instead of 30 days, just do a bit of a vlog each day for a few minutes. And Slick can do some of the ROM reviews and things like that I think this would be cool and hopefully Linus and Slick see this. Linus just announced on the WAN show that LG will be sending them a G2 to review, can't wait to see that and hope more videos like that surface What do you guys think about this?

is anyone running Cyanogenmod 11 on their Note 3 Verizon? I have seen that they do have some nightlys available but I was wondering if anyone has used them yet to see just how stable they are. As much as I would love to have the snapshot m8 version for note 3 lte, Verizon sucks and I cant use that version. Just asking for some opinions before I do this and it end up being shit. Thanks!
