Good day currently I have bought Noctua NH-D15 not Chromax to my i9 12900k variant Location Temp: Philippines Location Temp: 35-41 °C°F Room Temp: 35-41 °C°F No Aircon just electric fan my concern is my IDLE is around 40-50°C°F and at max performance it is thermal throttling 100°C°F sometimes above . I am using Noctua thermal paste. free with the NH-D15 what seems to be a problem? Do the Noctua NH-D15 cant handle the 12900k? should I change or switch to a better AIO?? but I have a phobia in AIO or should a change the thermal paste? my case is TUF GT-301 and fan setup is 3intake front 2top fan out and the rear fan out I upload screenshot of my system idle and max performance.. thankyou in advance for advice.

On Amazon their is a cpu cooler listed as AP-565-120 CPU Cooling Fan, CPU Air Cooler Intel LGA 1200, i7 10700K CPU Fan Cooler, 5 Direct Contact Heatpipes. What i see from this is a great cpu cooler build, since it has 5 copper pipes with a soild flat copper plate on the cpu. It looks like a great and possibly a quality build. To see its specs, its on Amazon, at this link: https://www.amazon.com/Aardwolf-AP-565-120-Cooling-Contact-Heatpipes/dp/B098NS7KBS/ref=pd_di_sccai_cn_1_sccl_3/133-4270649-7950931?pd_rd_w=ZzMdk&pf_rd_p=1ed8df3a-0df8-4988-98b9-252e4c99c568&pf_rd_r=BQHH7HYKP46G2T12V77E&pd_rd_r=5594b8e2-dbd6-4fe8-8fb7-b7c0267bec84&pd_rd_wg=PF12w&pd_rd_i=B098NS7KBS&th=1 The AP-565-120 seems good for just $21, disregarded the fan, as i can easily buy a noctua 120mm fan for $20 to improve just for a total of $41. Is this not a great idea, for the price? Since the heat spreader it self looks good no great.

I'm somewhat new to building a PC so please forgive me. I'm upgrading my son's PC for his Birthday this weekend. I've already purchased a new CPU and RAM. I'm guessing I need to upgrade his CPU cooler too right? One thought was the Cooler Master Hyper H412R ($32.99 USD on Amazon) which someone recommended to me since it should fit in this case he has. Another recommendation was this DEEPCOOL Castle 240R AIO Liquid Cooler ($59.99 USD on Amazon). Any thoughts and/or recommendations? Attached pictures show the computer in it's current form BEFORE upgrades.

Budget (including currency): 1.5-1.6 Lahks INR Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, AAA titles such as Witcher, RDR2, Elden Ring etc. Would also like to stream/use chrome/discord while playing. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a 1080p 144Hz monitor which I plan to use for a while a later maybe 1-2 years upgrade to 1440p/4k. I'd like to play at 60fps above and stream accordingly. I have a keyboard and mouse as well. Parts List : Parts That I've already bought/Had from before : Intel i5-12600k MSI MAG Tomahawk Z690 - DDR4 ram Gigabyte AORUS 850W Gold+ PSU 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 500GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus Parts that I would Ideally want: Coolermaster TD500 Mesh ASUS ROG STRIX 3070 TI or ASUS TUF Gaming OC 3070 TI 32 GB Ram - Either 3200Mhz or 3600MHz would work Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Hi I'm planning on doing my first PC build in the next 2-3 of weeks or so. After using a laptop for the last 4.5 years which has served me well, I want to upgrade to a PC as I finally can. I've done a decent amount of research on what parts I want/need for my use case. My use-case is regular gaming with Valorant, AAA titles like Witcher, RDR2, Genshin, Doom, Sekiro, Eldenring, and light streaming. My reason for the CPU/Motherboard/Ram combination is to allow me to run chrome/discord/OBS in the background without having any issues while playing a AAA title. Now my main question is about the cooler. Everywhere that I've found the cooler online, the specifications mention that the cooler isn't compatible with the LGA1700 socket which is what I need. After looking around a bit, the Noctua website mentions that they either have hardware for LGA 1700 included in orders post 01/2022 but none of the online retailers mention this. Noctua also mention that they provide another mounting kit for the coolers purchased before this free of cost to people (NM-i17xx-MP83 for this cooler) but I'm not sure if they provide this in India as I can't find any official retailer for them. I would be very grateful if someone who has bought this in the last couple of months with a 12th gen CPU can share their experience with this. Another question I had about the cooler was whether I'd be able to fit the GPU in the topmost slot of the motherboard as the cooler is quite big. If not, I'd like some suggestions on coolers I can buy which would be a good replacement for this. And finally, a small question on which of these two I should choose: ASUS ROG STRIX 3070 TI or ASUS TUF Gaming OC 3070 TI? Would it really make any difference? The budget is not much of an issue, currently, I'd be spending around 1.5L given this parts list (If it looks less, it's because I've had some parts for quite some time and I'm not counting those). I don't mind putting in another 5-10k for a different cooler or GPU which would go with the rest of the list. I'd also appricieate any case compatibility issues anyone might be aware of. Thanks Thanks in advance to anyone who provides any advice. Please feel free to ask questions you might have to help me with this, I'll reply as soon as I can.

Is this cooler fine or should I upgrade to a AIO water cooling or a different air cooler? I'm thinking about the following incase my current cooler may not be good enough; Water Cooling AIO - ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 ~ USD 105 Air Cooler - be quiet! DARK ROCK PRO 4 (BK022) ~ USD 95 Is there something better in the same price range? Is there something you'd recommend that I change in this build? PS: I haven't tested it as I am going to assemble the PC next week and I'm concerned about this in particular. The ordered parts are about to be delivered. I appreciate all recommendations! Hello, Thinking about upgrading my CPU to the Ryzen 7 5700x. I'm not sure which cooler to pick for it since most videos seem to be about the Ryzen 7 5800x which runs substantially hotter. I would rather air cool vs an AIO. Some of the coolers I've looked at include Be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black, Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition, ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports, Scythe Fuma 2 Rev.B CPU Air Cooler. Any help or suggestions are appreciated? So I know roughly how to put together a list, but few of the things I still am not 100% sure on. Here's a list I made now with 13th gen Intel on a ~1300USD budget: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qChRhk I know if someone were to buy all those parts the machine would probably work. Question 1: But, how do I know if the Silcone Power RAM is compatible with MSI PRO Z690-A? Like I know just the MB and RAM being same DDR isn't always guarantee, maybe this is a Ryzen thing, but I don't want to recommend something that could potentially not work. I'm obviously vigilant, I go to to MSI website here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-Z690-A-DDR4/support#mem And I find this: It found the brand, but the model is different, also "supported speed". Is that the same thing as (i5 12600k) this?: "Memory type" of CPU is 3200MT but it's 99% possible to run 3600 or 4000 or even faster RAM with it probably. Does the same thing apply to the MB? Is the model number only important sometimes? If it's just a Ryzen thing what should I know? / How should I procceed to avoid RAM incompatibility? Question 2: PCpartpicker says: "The Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black 55 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard." Does that mean anything? Because the cooler is under 1700LGA socket list, why would it need seperate mounting adapter? Question 3: Cooler Master G700 700 W 80+ Gold Certified - isn't on the PSU tier list. Can the PSU handle my "high end build", just for the sake that it's 80+ Gold and Cooler Master being qute reputable brand? (and obviously enough W juice) Question 4: There is no Motherboard tierlist for Intel, how do know if I'm not pairing 13th Gen Intel with a MB that has VRMs designed to handle only Pentium? Question 5: PCpartpicker link is great, but faster is seeing the list without having to click on the link, is there like a command or copy-paste function that can do that? Question 6: PCpartpicker also says: " Some physical dimension constraints are currently not checked, such as CPU coolers and RAM clearance." I know that's going to appear in 99% of the lists, but how does one determine ram clearance? Like for example if the RAM heatsink is very tall. Thank you.

Hello, i have an old intel stock cooler (like really old from lga 1150) for an E3 1231-v3 XEON the thing is that it works great but it has some damage on the things that keep it on the motherboard, so i want to replace it, I have the option in my city to buy a deepcool gamma archer that has a very low cost and i wanna know if this is AT LEAST the same as good or better as the intel one. "The next one in my town is like 3 times the price of the deepcool cooler"( and i dont wanna pay for shipping)

My newely build pc has been working fine without any issues before I decide to swap out the CPU cooler to an arctic liquid freezer ii 420 and add extension cables from Cablemod to give it a cleaner look. These are the only changes I've made, yet I get a "no display" message from my monitor. What could be the culprit here? Something I think is also worth mentioning is that my CPU has been undervolted in the BIOS.

Hello, so I recently upgraded my system and I got a AK 620 as my CPU cooler. The Cooling is good enough and I don't get thermal throttled. But recently It has started to make quite loud buzzing noise at around 1200-1300 RPM. Other than that the sound cannot be heard. My question is could it be just a fan rubbing against the fins or something like that or is the fan faulty?

So I never really picked up how exactly to choose a PSU, I could use some tips on how to get exact numbers of Watts, because I just can't find how many Watts will for example RAM or motherboard need. Below are the parts that I picked so far, GPU IS A PLACEHOLDER FOR NOW, IT MAY CHANGE DEPENDING ON FINAL BUDGET (I don't have a final budget yet, so more expensive parts don't have to mean worse GPU), thats why I need generic tips on how to pick a PSU, I also need help with CPU cooler, because I am not really sure how I am supposed to pick cheapest cooler that can cool an i5 13th gen, I just need something to look for in a cooler or some recommendations for some cheap cooler, I don't really care about looks, I just need it to cool my CPU for the lowest possible price. I also wasn't too sure about what motherboard to choose, I don't need anything super expensive, I just want one that will work fine with my components, so I will be glad for any recommendations. If there is anything else that I could change, please let me know, I am aiming for a decent value/price gaming PC that is as future proof as possible. Also I am from czechia and I will be buying parts from either alza.cz or czc.cz as it's just better for me than for example amazon. CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF CPU Cooler: SilentiumPC Fera 5 Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z690-P RAM: Kingston FURY 32GB KIT DDR5 5600MHz CL40 Beast Black RGB SSD: Samsung 980 1TB (I will also use 1TB HDD from my current PC) GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8G (rev. 2.0) PLACEHOLDER FOR NOW Case: I didn't pick a case yet, I don't really care about looks that much, I will find something that's not too expensive later. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello, so I just though about, what if I try to somehow add another fan to the end side of my AK620 CPU cooler, so there is another pull fan. Has anyone tried this before, does it increase any performance and how did you go about doing it? Zip ties or something? For this to work I guess I would have to use 1 to 3 pin extender on the CPU fan pin socket, is this safe?

Hi. I am trying to remove my 4th gen Intel Core i3 processor and replace it with a 4th gen Intel Core i7 processor. The main problem I'm having is removing the screws of my CPU Cooler (the heatsink alongside with the fan). I have already taken out 2 of the screws which are at the bottom, but the other 2 screws at the top are hard to take out (corresponds to the picture provided.) The PC I am working with is a Dell Inspiron 3847. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey there, first thanks for reading and trying to help. Heres the problem, Ive got a i5 9400f with 16gb ram and a 2070 super, I know the cpu is a little bit under for the gpu, but it works fine, the thing is that when im playing some games of high demand i get peaks of temperature of 80C and an avarage of 70C. I want to buy a cpu cooler, and was wondering if you could give me some recommendations, ive made some investigation and came up with a list, but dont know whichone to buy, some have high CPF but low air pressure or viceversa; -gamemax gamma 500 -thermaltake contac silent12 -deepcool gammaxx gt -deepool gammaxx 400 -hyper 212 black edition -hyper 212 black rgb I know probably 70C is not really high temperature, but for next games to come, I wanna help my new pc last longer, and if i can put a cpu cooler for that I will do it :). Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey, sorry for the dumb questions, im really new on all this. Ive done a previous post where i tried to see which cooler was the best, i chose hyper 212 be rgb, the thing is now that i got some questions. 1. My motherboard (asus tuf b365m gaming plus) has one rgb header (4pin) and a argb header (3pin)m the 4 pin is already in use, can i use the 4pin connector from the rgb fan on the 3pin argb header? 2. The molex connector, first time dealing with them, i havent opened my pc at all so i dont know whats behind it, the cooler comes with a molex connector, will i find an easy molex connector from my power suply when i open the PC? Im asking this before i open because i want to be really cautious, and im really new at this. 3. If i get spaces problems when installing the cooler can i remove de ram, mount the fan, and then just put the ram back? ofcourse everything shat down. Thanks for all the help on previous post and the future help here! really appreciate it, sorry for (if) bad english. PD: I havent done anything yet, i want to have all sorted before getting inside the pc.

Hey guys, do any of you have an suggestions for what the best overall cooler for the tr 3990x would be? I have unlimited budget and want something that will give me exceptional cooling under a high load. I do not care what type of cooler: aio, air or more, I am also building a custom case so room will not be an issue. I'd greatly appreciate any advice.
-
In Linus's video he attempts to show that Air Coolers are normally better for performance however The linus media group office is not like most places people put PC's; this is due to the fact that there office is clearly well ventilated also in the test they used cases with very high airflow which allows the internal cpu fans to gain more cooler air for better cooling, AIO's are different due to the fact that they can pull colder air from outside the case. Im not shure on if the tests they committed were a fair representation of most PCs and environments,. what do you think?

I'm hoping someone can answer a newbie question for me. I'm planning to do dual pc streaming setup, and I've decided on a Ryzen 7 3700x for my streaming pc. My question is, for a dedicated streaming pc, will the stock cpu cooler be sufficient or should I go with a beefier aftermarket cooler? Still new to all of this, so I get lost pretty easily on what is necessity and what is overkill.
