These are guesses and (to some degree) wishes. This is not a rumor leak. Release: 2019. (2018 is too soon with Pro/X out and I suspect the delay of the 8th gen was due to the effects of the global recession). Form Factor: Smaller than PS4/X1 were at launch but maybe not as small as their slim versions. Price: $449? Processor: AMD Jaguar (8 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz) GPU: Equivalent to a GTX 1070's benchmarks (13 million teraflops /s) RAM: 16 GB GDDR5 (including 4GB for the OS) Storage: 16 GB SSD for OS and apps ; 1.5 TB HDD for games and media. Ports: 2x USB-C (front). Ethernet, HDMI, Power Cable (back). Performance: 45-60 fps, depending on game. 4K at medium, 1440p at high, 1080 at ultra. Controller: USB-C charged. Internal battery. Touch sensor. Backlit buttons. Integrated mic. No speakers. Bluetooth headset supported.

Most of the time, cpu's with high core counts ie 6/8 cores are not utilized properly in games, I get it, higher frequency cpu's are better for this.....on pc All the new consoles (xbox one/ps4 and later) have octa-core cpu's that run at laughably low frequencies, as far as gaming is concerned. From that I can assume that game dev's have managed to make use of each core, which would mean that 8-core game support should be here. Why does pc only still use 4 cores??? Is it the way games are made or that pc hasn't seen a mainstream cpu with more then 4 cores until this year that has stopped us getting that support?

I have been thinking for sometime and I am thinking of buying myself a ps3 again just to play old games. Is it worth the price? Should I get 40gb fat ps3 and then just change the hdd or get the high capacity right away? (80gb+ size are only available in slim and super slim). Price of console is around $60 (40gb model fat) to around $100 ish (for slim and super slim model). I don't emulate RPCS3 because I own a regular ultrabook for my college work and other work. I own ps4 console btw . Thanks for advices. Old Games I that want to play (PS3) -Nier -Drakengard series (Maybe) -MGS collection -MGS 4 -Demon's Souls -Ninja Gaiden (Maybe) Some old ps2 games like omnimusha etc.

Xbox Announced it will release a cloud based console with no optical drive and no on hand storage for games. Will this be the new way for gaming? Will everyone have unlimited online storage or is this a new way to squeeze more money out of gamers?? I would like to hear peoples thoughts and maybe LTT can see if they can get a review of the xbox 2020 concept?

Hey everyone i got myself a original Microsoft xbox 360 wireless controller receiver and when i installed the drivers that i downloaded from Microsoft site and plugged in the the receiver to my windows 10 pc it doesnt get recognized. i tried installing the driver through device manager as well and i get this error saying im not using 64 bit drivers (my pc is 64 bit), but it was 64 bit drivers that i tried. i tried installing driver pack to see if that detects anything, that didnt work either. i have been trying almost everything i saw online for about an hour, it would be great help if u could help me set this up. thanks

So i built a DIY xbox 360 controller receiver for windows as shown here: https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/how-to-make-a-homemade-xbox-360-controller-wireless-receiver-for-pc.668839/ with my broken xbox. i believe i soldered everything correctly, i even checked if the cable is gud with a multi meter and it works. my problem is when i connect it to my Windows 10 PC it detects as an unknown device and when i install this driver from Microsoft : https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-my/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows it gives me an error saying im trying to install drivers of a different architecture. but the drivers i downloaded were 64 bit and my pc is 64 bit. so there isnt any issue there. i did check many videos on YouTube and to all of them these steps here : https://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/how-to-make-a-homemade-xbox-360-controller-wireless-receiver-for-pc.668839/ work. Any suggestions to try would be very helpful, thanks.

So Cyberpunk 2077 is officially delayed until September, what a bummer. I've been anxiously waiting and it finally felt like it was close as the OG April 14th release date was was almost here. Some articles have said it's due to the game running poorly on current consoles and issues with Stadia, the official tweet from CDProjekt says otherwise. I don't know what to think about it, but I feel saddened for sure. What do you guys think about it? Polygon article with official Tweet - https://www.polygon.com/2020/1/16/21068996/cyberpunk-2077-delayed-to-september Comicbook.com article about consoles and Stadia being the issue - https://comicbook.com/gaming/2020/01/23/cyberpunk-2077-ps4-xbox-one-release-date-delay/

Hi, i once had ps3 and ps4 and used to play games like GTA 5, CoD ghosts...etc on 30FPS gaming was very smooth with no stutters. on PC, gaming on lower than 50s FPS feels sluggish and slow and can be very annoying even on freesync its feels sluggish within freesync range on low fps. what is the reason behind that? why not gaming on 30 or even 50 FPS feels smooth!!

[Which one of them would you prefer if...................] I am planning to buy a new console for myself and this is going to be my first console. I've played before in consoles in the past but I've not owned one. I'm from India and the cost of the consoles are way greater than what it is in other countries. Xbox Series S (INR- 34,990 ie.,$475.52) and PS5 digital (INR- 30,000 ie., $407.70) Some key points - I don't have a 4K TV or monitor now and think that would also not get one in the near future I am not a serious gamer and I'm also not gonna look for each and every minor in-game detail The budget is really a concern for me 1080p resolution is enough for me I am also gonna buy a laptop capable of "light gaming" and hence I think that XBOX Game Pass is really a good deal ( not sure if it is available in India or not) Which choice makes more sense ??????????????????????? And by the way PS4 pro works just fine for me.

Summary Just a few months before the estimated release of the Xbox Series X (and maybe Series S), Microsoft has discontinued the Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. They will both be available until current stock is completely out. The Xbox Series S (with the disc drive) will remain available. Quotes My thoughts I am surprised that they would stop production with so much time before the estimated release of Series X. Especially since the Xbox 360 was discontinued many years after the Xbox One was released and the Xbox One was only discontinued when the One S was available. I am guessing that the Series X will be available sooner than previously thought. Sources cnet techradar The Verge

Original articles: https://wccftech.com/amd-zen-vega-semi-custom-soc-powers-gaming-consoles/ https://www.pcgamer.com/amd-built-a-powerful-semi-custom-ryzen-vega-soc-for-game-consoles-and-pcs/ AMD's announcement: https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2018/08/03/new-amd-semi-custom-soc-combines-the-power-of-amd-ryzen-cpu-and-amd-vega-gpu-for-gamers-in-china AMD has released a new custom SOC (system on a chip) for the China market primarily aimed at home consoles. While current APUs on the general market (2200G, 2400G, PRO 2400GE) have Vega 8, 11, and 11 respectively, this new SOC comes with Vega 24. This new SOC was recently revealed at the China Joy event. Specs: Base frequency: 3.0 GHz, quad-core, 8 thread 24 Vega CUs with up to 8 GB GDDR5 attached, GDDR5 memory controller on-chip L2 Cache: 2 MB L3 Cache: 8 MB 4 TFLOPS at max clock " Currently, AMD is working with Zhongshan Subor to create a new gaming console for the Chinese market which was displayed at ChinaJoy 2018. They will first introduce a gaming PC with the SOC in late August, followed by the gaming console release in late 2018. Pricing of the PC is expected at 4998 Chinese Yuan which equals around $600-$700 US. " My personal speculation is that this is a good trial run for what we'll possibly see in the next generation of Microsoft and Sony console, at least as a launch platform. AMD's recent forays can only mean good things for the company in terms of its bottom line. Content Edit 1: If we're comparing Vega cores, the 2400G's 11 CUs are clocked at 1.25GHz while the SOC's 24 CUs are clocked at 1.3GHz according to the article. Content Edit 2: Added link to AMD's official blog post concerning the SOC. Content Edit 3: Clarification of memory controller.

What do you think the future of VR is in the console gaming space? We know that PSVR has had some success even though the titles are largely demos and mini games that while impressive are still new and need time to be fleshed out. We can safely assume that consoles will be more powerful than the current PS4 and Xbox One and that with those specs they can run VR respectably. Then there is of course the Switch and the question of if portable VR will be attempted (save us from the curse of the Virtual Boy). I think we could potentially see VR being a big focus for the console space given how consoles are typically made to work right out of the box, people already have an idea of how easy it is to work with something like PS VR so its not exactly as offputting as it was before, and then there is the appeal factor of immersion and the "newness" of it. What do you think?

TL;DR: Does anyone know (without a lot of speculation) why 30 FPS seems worse on PC than on console? If so, any ideas on how to improve the situation? I mainly play games on PC, and sometimes I play on my TV over HDMI with a controller. I have noticed for a long time that 30 FPS feels noticeably less smooth when running on my PC than a console and this is using the same TV for both. It's not that my card can't handle the game or something. I notice it in games with lame PC ports that are locked to 30 FPS, or if I lock vsync to 30 FPS (I did that when testing this). It's like there is tons of microstuttering or frame lag or something on PC. It could be poor frame limiting implementations or something, but I don't know. I wonder if anyone actually knows this. When I make a new build for 4K it probably won't be worth it to me if lower FPS is going to stutter like it does now. I'll just wait until I can get something that will be 60 FPS+ solid if that's the case.

Hey, i need suggestions for a good duster for my three consoles. I have a Wii u, Wii, and a Ps2 Slim that are riddled various issues that make them unusable or annoying to use, let alone leave them plugged up on standby mode. The Wii u has ventilation build-up, the wii has a bad disc drive that needs to be replaced and some ventilation issues as well, and the ps2 slim has ventilation build-up as well. Besides, the disc drive that needs to be replaced, the gas duster or air sprayer is the only things i am missing. Any suggestions or recommendations for either are greatly appreciated.
