Hey guys!!! I'm planning a few different builds and was wondering, what are the strongest built cases on the market? (excluding CaseLabs cases, I just don't plan to have the budget for that just yet). Any sizes are accepted, and only the strongest shall remain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Early thanks

I am looking for a chassis for my build. Under 150$

Hey guys, I'm getting a zotac 970 amp extreme soon and I was planning on a black and red built choosing asus Maximus 7 hero as the motherboard. I was looking up NZXT h440 black and red case for that. The zotac extreme being terribly large I was wondering wether it will fit inside the case. Even though the hdd drawers are removable will the metal plate (aka "the stealth cover") be in the way of the graphics card? I'm talking about both length and width. If any of you guys came across this type of situation with similar dimensioned graphics card with that case please share. And also let me know if there is any better pc case for the red and black theme within same price range or less. Thanks in advance.

Hi people of the internet, this is my first post on the Linus tech tips forum and I just wanted to ask what case I should get. I am going to be building my first rig soon and just wanted to make sure I wasn't spending to much on my chassis. at the moment I am leaning towards the corsair 780t but it comes at a pretty penny. Are there any cheap cases out there that you would recommend? I might be going with 1 gigabyte gtx 970 g1. thanks

Has anyone ever used the Corsair Carbide Spec 01 case? I was thinking of moving on from my generic ultra cheap-o case to a still pretty cheap but much more awesome [i presume?] case, and this is what I found. It's available for about 60 US$ right now here in India. http://www.corsair.com/en/carbide-series-spec-01-red-led-mid-tower-gaming-case

I've been contemplating on a couple of different cases for my new build, and one of them is the NZXT H440. I really like the red/black model. I watched Linus' review on this case, but I have a question or two. The case is clearly optimized for silence, but really how well does this case keep cool? Although I have plans install water-cooling in the future, the build won't initially be water-cooled. Is this going to make much of a difference? Also, is there any more insight on this particular case that you guys can give?

I'm gonna be switching a lot of my gear to be rack mountable, moving the computer to the rack will make a huge difference. Can anyone find a sever chassis that can house a H110 and a full size ATX mobo?

Hi there Ive been looking at cases, and especially the NZXT h400 caught my eye. The only downside for me is that there is no 5,25 " bay. Its really annoying me because i like the case so much, but i really want a 5,25 " bay. Any other cases in white, that looks like the Nzxt with a window and 5,25 " bay? (Available in EU) Thanks in advance

Feel free to suggest any other case! Thanks in advance!

I recently found out about the Cooltek UMX2, and thought that it looks really clean and simple (which I like). I think it's marketed as the Rosewill Legacy MX2 in the US. After looking at some picture of the inside, it seems like it has poor airflow. I'm not expecting you to be able to put the hottest hardware in it, but atleast a decent gaming PC. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the case and if so, how is the airflow? Also, this is my first post on the LTT forums, so hello everyone!

So I was browsing through EKWB coolingconfigurator.com when I noticed a retailer I had never heard of-Point Of View. So I go and give them a good 'ol google and find their website: http://www.pointofview-online.com/default2.php?content_id=1 Now, I go through their graphics card selection, and see some pretty beefy looking coolers. However, they don't seem to have very much selection for the 700 series cards. Just a side note. Now, the reason this isn't in graphics cards is because they don't just produce graphics cards. As earlier stated I was browsing through the products, well I found this Chassis: http://www.pointofview-online.com/showroom.php?shop_mode=product_detail&product_id=48 In my opinion it looks pretty neat. I'm thinking most of you have never heard of these guys before. They seem aight. Thoughts?

Any suggestions for a mid-tower ATX case with good airflow (using an air cooler), great cable management and cable storage/hiding (non-modular PSU), and has a side panel window- all under (or at the price) $100- $120 USD? I've been looking to get rid of my Cooler Master Elite 430 for a while, and I've shopped around, but nothing stood out. Thanks for the help!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NayHwiY_C6s I definitely like the elegant look of the case, it looks like it could be a good option for powerful mATX systems although I do wish Lian Li started painting the inside of their cases, maybe added a windowed side panel option and some good cable management options/design. However the interesting part is the side mounted rad bracket which allows you to mount a 240 radiator, could be quite useful for AIO Liquid cooling solutions such as H100i. Article Source from goldfries.com - LINK :http://www.goldfries.com/hardware-reviews/aerocool-dead-silence-ds-200-mid-tower-pc-casing-review The DS 200 is a sleek looking casing, at a glance it looked no different from any other casing out there and in fact I wasn't exactly excited over it when I received the review unit but my perception changed as I explored this beautiful casing. The colored area is of smooth-touch leather coating that's very comfortable to the touch, and how it's design was that it looked as if it was a seamless single piece that flows from the the top-back to the bottom at the front but it isn't. While most casings were designed to be most attractive at the front, the Aerocool DS 200's best feature happens to be on top. On the left are the audio I/O ports and the Power and Reset buttons while on the right are the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. At the center is a circular console, with temperature readings shown at the center while the buttons around allows you to change fan speed, toggle between Celsius vs Fahrenheit readings and also to change the color of the display. Yes, that's just how cool it is. Don't believe me? Check out the video below. Link to video on YouTube. The fan speeds available are Low (50%), Medium (75%) and High (100%) with also the option to Stop (0%). The downside of having upward facing ports is that the openings tend to be a hotbed for dust collection. By now you would've noticed that the are lines going around the panel, that's because the panel is removable with a flick of a switch. The switch is rather tough to flick but don't worry about applying too much pressure as the build quality is good. And in case you ever broke the cover, don't worry because Aerocool got you covered by providing an additional piece of top panel cover. Neat isn't it? Within this package, you get a full colored (solid type) and a grille type. The grille type looks pretty neat, right? The grille type would work better for airflow but wouldn't work too well for sound dampening. Underneath the opening is a huge attic that allows placement of fans or radiator but not both. The entire top panel is removable so you need not fret about getting fans through the opening. As seen in the image below, you could even mount a single unit of 20mm fan. As for dual-fan setup, you have the 120mm and 140mm mounts ready. Here's the under side of the display panel. Besides the removable top panel, the front panel is removable too. Here's the under side of the front panel, it seems like the colored panel is removable too in case you want to mod it to something else. At the front of the main structure is a clip on filter that's placed before the fan. Aerocool included only one 140mm fan for the DS 200 which I think is sufficient but it would be great if they included 2 fans instead. I don't mind paying more to have an additional fan there. At the back you see the usual layout, it's a pity that the exhaust mount only caters for 120mm fan. It would've been great if they could design it to cater both 120mm and 140mm fans. On the lower half of the back panel are the PCI-E slots and PSU opening. The design at the bottom of the casing looks neat, I like it that it doesn't seem to have any rough surface that could damage the area where it's placed. Looks like this will be one neat feature that won't get much attention. Aerocool provided a dust filter for the PSU, it's something good to have but I think they should improve on the clamp. The dust filter couldn't be properly secured so it tends to fall out of place quite easily. The DS 200 is pretty roomy despite it's rather compact and sleek apperance. The clearance at the top is good, there's sufficient room to place fan or radiator but not both. In my case, I mounted the Cooler Master Nepton 280L to the DS 200 with radiator within the casing and 2 units of JetFlo 140 fan on the outer side just under the top panel. It took a little effort to get things into place but I got it mounted without having to make cosmetic changes to the casing, just lovely! At the front are the drive bays, glad to see that the 2.5" clips hold my SSD in place without requiring any screws. It's not totally tool-less as some bays still require you to mount drives with the screws. The cage at the middle is removable, this caters for placement of long graphic cards but the bottom drive cages are not removable so there's no space for stuff like coolant reservoir if you're into water cooling. The inclusion of rubber grommets to the DS 200 was a sweet move from Aerocool, making the case management aesthetically better. The motherboard mounts are generally in place but you'll have to add a few more on your own for ATX boards. Here's the back view of which you'll see that the casing has good amount of headroom for cable management. Aerocool did a great job here by providing a super-huge cut-out that caters backplate mounting for varying CPU layout. PCI-E slots. Being a DEAD SILENCE product, the DS 200's back panel comes with sound insulation padding. This padding helps reduce noise but it also means the headroom for cable management is reduced a little. Here's a closer view of the insulation material. Phew, that's the coverage of the casing. Besides the additional top panel cover provided, the DS 200's package also includes 5.25" bay bezels that cater for 2.5" cut out and optical drive tray. It's also neat that Aerocool packaged the screws with labels on the plastic on what are the screws for. Here's the spec of the casing. The fans provided run at 800 RPM. The DS 200 comes in 2 variants (Windowed and Non-Windowed) with 6 different colors (Black, Red, Orange, White, Blue, Green). More details at the official product page. The Verdict The Aerocool Dead Silence DS 200 retails at RM 395 and in my opinion, it's a casing worth shelling out money for. The sleek design gives is a modern contemporary look and should match your existing decor quite easily. The temperature reading, fan control and sound insulation features make it stand out among the crowd, features that are often not found in casings under RM 400. Here's what it looks like with everything in place.

What is your favorite case below $150 OTHER than the obvious Define R4/Arc Midi R2? I may get the Define R4 but I want more options. Thanks

So, does the noctua NH-D14 fit onto and into the Gigabytes H87-D3H and CM690iii without any problem? and will the NH-D14 be too much for a rig that is not going to be overclocked? but the rig will be on heavy 3d rendering works.

I've had this motherboard and a pair of Xeons for quite a while now. Both of the CPUs and the motherboard are watercooled. Problem is that they are housed inside a cheap (relatively) and stupid Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra. I'm looking for something a bit more modern and slick looking. I'm still going to be watercooling the rig so a case with that option is preferred. I was looking at the Cosmos II but that case is a bit too big and a bit too expensive. If you guys know of any chassis that fits the criteria, please do let me know. Many thanks. PS: Picture of the rig is attached.

Hello guys, I have a new CM Storm Stryker Case. I've setup everything but my fan led's won't work. The Fan-controller is working: I can speed up or slow down the fans but there is no led light on the side fans. Am I missing something or can I test if it is defective? Here are the relevant connections, the Molex connector should work because the CD-Drive is plugged in too and works. http://imgur.com/a/9iIKW Greetings

I'm looking for a full tower case with good airflow that has good airflow and is full tower that has good airflow but it must be a full tower that has good airflow. Sorry for that horrible run-on sentence. I want a case that also has the following: - $100-$180 CAD - USB 3.0 (should be on all cases anyway) - Full tower - Feels sturdy (no plastic.) - Made from a well-known company such as Cooler Master, Corsair, NZXT - Good airflow as I will be air cooling all of my components, unlike my current build which uses a Corsair H60. - Quiet (whisper is the max.) - Has rubber grommets - Filters for intake and power supply fans. - Looks nice; no flashy colors, just plain sexy. Brushed aluminum is my cup of tea... I should I say, my choice of case. - Preferably windowed In my case (no pun intended), I will be putting these components: Intel Core i5 4690K will overclock be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 ASUS Z97 PRO mobo ASUS,EVGA,XFX, R9 280X,GTX770 I am thinking about the Corsair 750D. It has everything I want, except that I think the airflow isn't the best. Also, does anyone know what happens if I leave the front cover closed? Will it have good airflow? Any help is appreciated

I've got everything picked out for new rig I'm building but I'm stuck on what case to get, so can you guys suggest some of your favorite cases for me to choose from? I considered the Corsair Graphite 760T and the Corsair Obsidian 750D but I'm still unsure. Parts to be inside this case: MOBO: Asus Maximus Hero VII CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k PSU Corsair AX860i GPU: Nvidia GeForce EVGA GTX 780ti (superclocked edition) RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro (16GB at 2400MHZ) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i (240mm) 4TB Seagate HDD 240GB Intel 730 series SSD Windows 8.1 I think I got everything, anyway, help me pick an awesome case? I'd prefer it has a window on the side to admire and look at my rig Thanks, Magna

So I'm torn between these two expensive beauties. Phantex Enthoo Pro (Around £100) Amazon UK only has white in mid tower for reasons unknown. Phantex Enthoo Luxe (Around £150) Amazon UK only has white in full tower for reasons unknown. (Not sure if I want a full size or mid, may be accommodating a V8 GTS so tips are appreciated!) After originally going for a cheap case, and stocking up on handy things like: NZXT Sentry 2 5.25' Touch Screen Meter Fan Controller £25 NZXT 5.25' Hue RGB LED Color Changing Controller £25 (^ 2 things the Enthoo Luxe added to the built in stock package, 2 things the Pro lacks, argh! Then again, 2 things I can add to the Pro to compensate for it's differences to it's superior.) I know for the Luxe they've added an extra SSD holder on the cable management panel, and also added amazing support for a radiator/an even more convenient space for fans on the top of the case between the mesh and the ceiling of the case, (I don't think I'll be using water cooling for a long time, so no radiators here, but fans...) Convenience is key with the Luxe, and the hardware additions are just as awesome as the minor but sleek upgrades to the exterior aesthetics. Saying that though, is it worth an extra 50 bones? I'm so bad with decisions like these, and they're popping up all over the place while picking build components. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/opinions/info/responses at all!
