My specs are: Cpu: i5 4690K at 4.5 GHz Motherboard: Asus Z97-A PSU: 650 watt Ram: x2 8Gb DDR3 1600MHz Currently I have an Sapphire RX 480 4gb nitro+ The ideal purchase for a new graphics card would be an RX Vega 64 of some kind since I like AMD and I have a freesync monitor. I'm wondering if my 650 Watt Power supply is enough or if any other components need an upgrade. I have heard that GPU prices are going down by about 20% this month, is it worth waiting for that and should I keep waiting to buy anything until the next gpu lineup from amd comes?

Hello LTT community, I'd like some input on the new Razer blade stealth (2018). I live in Europe and will be travelling across the US soon. Should I buy the Razer Blade stealth from the US, where the price difference compared to Europe is 750$ or 650€. I don't mind the US keyboard layout, but buying from the US means I wouldn't get warranty for the laptop, because I'd be going back to Europe. In Europe I'd get a 3 year warranty from a 3rd party vendor. Is it worth the price difference to buy the Stealth from the US ? Here's additionally a link to a poll: http://www.strawpoll.me/16224922 Thanks in advance.

Hey guys i would like to have some of your input. I will order a new phone tomorrow and Iam still torn where to spend my money my budget is around 350~€ if its a good deal i ca pay up to 450(but please suggest phones that are at or below 400€ price unless you know something that is really amazing for a little more) Don't suggest used or last year phones only interested in phones that have been released in 2018 Brand is not' really important as long as it is Android without tons of bloatware. Battery life isn't as important as long as it can handle video playback for 4~ hours its fine. Quick charging and bluetooth 5 is a must. Priority to phones with Snapdragon 710 but from my exprience there are not a lot of phones with it. Also preffer no notch. And i would like to have a headphone jack. Well everything else is up to you. Thanks in advance

Not finding anything like this on the forum here, correct me if I'm wrong. Recently my fiance and I started looking for some phones. We like spreadsheets and so I figured I'd start a little sheet to help people looking to buy phones. I encourage this to be spread around, updated and improved. It is by no means a comprehensive list, nor is it perfect. (We stopped after I got the Moto budget G6 and when she fell in love with the screens of the Samsung S8 and beyond. Big upgrade from her Iphone SE and my Moto Maxx2) It may not include the parameters you would like, so please feel free to add them. Thank you and good luck. PhonesSU2018.xlsx

This is just another typical I want peoples opinions on some monitors. Right now I'm looking at the https://www.amazon.com/HP-23-8-inch-Adjustment-Speakers-VH240a/dp/B072M34RQC I like it bc it is cheaper only 109$, and I know its a 23.8 inch's so it shouldn't look bad I believe but If anyone knows a good 1200p monitor that isn't expensive that would be great. Right now I have 1060 in my rig so I'm able to run everything I play.

I am looking for 5.25 Front Panel with 3.0 USB ports. Anyone has brought one or can point to one that they think is good would really help. Thank you.!

I am thinking about buying new phone. My priorities are battery, camera, display (quality, 18:9 ratio) + Possibility of custom ROMs would be nice. My current picks are Asus Zenfone 5 (ZE620KL), LG G6 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. ZE620KL and LG G6 are little under 450$ and Note 5 is under 270$ which is main reason why I do consider the Redmi Note 5 Pro - almost same hardware for 180$ less. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has bigger battery than Asus/LG (Xiaomi - 4000 mAh and Asus/lg 3300 mAh). Asus/LG both have better camera - OIS, f/1.8, Wide lens camera, Redmi Note 5 Pro has only EIS, f/2.2 and f/2.0 (Main and Secondary) and no Wide lens. Everything is on Android Oreo, but I am worried that LG will not get Android P (Asus and Xiaomi are more likely to get it). I like USB-C charging of Asus and LG, and Quick Charge 3.0 (Xiaomi has only 2.0). LG G6 has IP68 which is always good to have and it's the only one of those 3 with Dbrand skins. So, I would like your opinion if the Asus/LG is worth 180$ more or if I should settle with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Do LG and Asus come with quick charger? If you have any reasons why I should or shouldn't buy specific phone I'd love to hear that. Thank you for your answers EDIT: Typos, Changed Redmi Note 5 to Redmi Note 5 Pro

So I'm looking into buying a Nintendo Switch. I used to be a huge fan of Nintendo consoles back during the days of the DSi and original Wii. With the announcement of a proper Pokemon game coming to the Switch and a number of bigger titles already on it I think now is a good time to buy in. So I'm wondering, what are the first games I should be getting for my Switch so my first impressions are the best they can be. Thanks for the help!

So i am new to the forms, but run a college content creation program. We were looking for parts with our left over ramen noodle fund and came across this ad on the website geek, a tech extension of wish.com. https://geek.wish.com/c/5a93a075e114ef0146ea5a99 Now Im not an expert, but this seems a bit iffy... Now there are other listings from other sellers saying roughly the same thing, and then there are sellers who flat out say its a graphics card and raise the price. My thought was.... could you actually get a graphics card for $1. so i bought 10 of them, to make it a bit safer i mixed my purchasing with different sellers and made sure to save $0.15 at every turn by teaming up and purchasing my card with daloris... or edger the graphics card wizard. Clearly i am not implying Edgar is only a wizard, ANd im not saying go buy $1 worth of graphics cards.... But is this legal? "potentially real" https://geek.wish.com/c/5a289e186fdc515000576f53 "fake and free" https://geek.wish.com/c/5a289e186fdc515000576f53 fake and $1 https://geek.wish.com/c/5a93a075e114ef0146ea5a99 have fun

I'm building my first gaming PC. I already have my build planned out(here's the build if anyone is interested: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yX3wzY) but I don't want to buy everything at once. My build comes out to about $700 USD and that's a lot for me to spend at once. My plan is to buy the parts one at a time and to have this done by August at the earliest and December at the latest. What part do you think I should buy first? Edit: Thank you all for the responses! I bought the case since NewEgg was having a sale on it.

So I'm looking into buying a laptop within the next few months, and in doing some research I've been quite overwhelmed by all of the options. Many websites such as MSI, or ASUS offer many choices but do not do not do a good job at showing the differences. I'm coming here as its the biggest community I know to ask your help in finding a laptop for me too buy. Here are the things I am looking for a laptop. - 15-17in Screen - 1060 or higher - decently lasting battery, (I don't plan on doing too much gaming on battery, I at least want to get through a school day doing simple things like word processing) - 16gig Ram (8gig if there is room to upgrade) - 256gig SSD (Or room to expand) - 1080p (non-touch) - I7 cpu - Good lasting quality, I want to be able to use it for a few years. My price range is around 1500-1800 USD Any suggestions would help me out greatly! Thanks!!! Edit: And I have looked at the Gaming Laptop Guide, but most of the links there no longer work.

Okay, so I posted on this forum a couple times over the past week or so and I've narrowed down my choices to four laptops. I am incredibly indecisive and I don't know which to choose. Just please tell me which one to pick. The most important factors to me are build quality (I want it to last at least 4-5 years), battery life (doesn't have to be exquisite, just not trash), and other than that, I plan on using it for internet browsing/streaming, some programming, some photoshop, microsoft office, and maybe some light gaming. If you know of any laptops other than the ones below that fit my preferences for under $700, please let me know. Oh and also, cant be to big of a screen I'd like to be able to take it on the go easily, so preferably around 13 inches (not too small either though), and no bigger than around 14 inches. So here are my options in no particular order, just pick one and tell me to buy it please: 1) Dell Inspiron 13 7000 7370 Laptop - (13.3" Touchscreen IPS FHD (1920x1080), 8th Gen Intel Quad-Core i5-8250U, 256GB SSD, 8GB DDR4, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10) 2) Dell Inspiron 13 5000 5379 2-IN-1 Laptop - 13.3" TouchScreen FHD (1920x1080), 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U, 256GB SSD, 8GB DDR4, Backlit, IR Webcam, Windows 10 (Certified Refurbished) 3) ASUS ZenBook 13 Ultra-Slim Laptop, 13.3” Full HD, 8th gen Intel i5-8250U Processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, Backlit keyboard, Fingerprint Reader, Windows 10, Grey, UX330UA-AH55 4) ASUS VivoBook F510UA Thin and Lightweight FHD WideView Laptop, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB SSD+1TB HDD, USB Type-C, ASUS NanoEdge Display, Fingerprint Reader, Windows 10

So I have a simple question, I emailed EVGA asking if they know when they'll get more GPU stock and they said they really don't know but I'm soooo eager to get one to build my first PC already and water cool it, the guy also said that we do have some stock for people buying bundles and so I went through the bundles and saw three that had the GPU that I wanted but they each had a different EVGA X299 Motherboard with them. My question is who would wanna buy (from me) one of the three motherboards listed below for exactly the price they are listed on the site and it would be unopened completely, I would just receive it, take everything out that's mine and leave the motherboard box unopened and then just mail the mobo to whoever would buy it from me. Whichever motherboard you pick I will buy the bundle that has the motherboard. I really hope someone can do this so that I could build my first PC and hard tubing water cool it. Only will mail to US and Canada and the closer you are to me (Florida) the better. EVGA X299 Motherboards: EVGA X299 DARK, 151-SX-E299-KR, LGA 2066, Intel X299, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, EATX, Intel Motherboard ($499.99) EVGA X299 FTW K, 142-SX-E297-KR, LGA 2066, Intel X299, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, EATX, Intel Motherboard ($349.99) EVGA X299 Micro, 131-SX-E295-KR, LGA 2066, Intel X299, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, mATX, Intel Motherboard ($299.99)

Hello everyone and anyone! I’ve been a long time desktop user and haven’t really worried about getting a decent laptop till now. I’ve gotten a new job and will be moving to a home with less space, unfortunately not enough space for my computer. So my GF will be taking care of my PC till she can eventually join me later in the year. Anyway, point is, I am in the market for a new gaming laptop and while I have been looking around a little, I have not decided yet and would like some ideas from you. Before I list some preferences it’s worth saying that the place I’ll be going to provide a discount on Dell hardware, but I’m not overly struck on the big clunky aesthetics. I am looking to spend around £1800 GBP for ideally a gaming laptop with portability in mind. This has made me think of the Razer blades but I’m not 100% sold on them and want to know my options first. I’m not overly fussed on the specs but I like to futureproof a little, (which is difficult with no upgradability normally) and for the money and gaming it should have in the region of: Atleast i5 but really should be an i7 for the money atleast 16GB of RAM GTX 1060 minimum 500GB storage minimum (PCIE minimum but M.2 probably ideal), ideally 1TB. Also to consider: Touchscreen, 2 in 1 functionality and decent webcam are all pluses. Portability, I don’t want a laptop with bigger radiators than my car. So what would you recommend? Thanks in advance! Rob

Hello everyone, I am in the market to get a new laptop. My budget is around 800 - 1300 U.S dollars and the intended use would be for college (computer science) and light intensity gaming (League of Legends/ Rocket League). I prefer a 8th gen processor due to being more future proof than a 7th gen intel, although I am not opposed to AMD processors. I do not require touch screen or 2 in 1, although not opposed to them either. I am at a lost when it comes to choosing one because I would like a well built computer due to my old one having great specs but dying in 2 years. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful! Thank you ahead of time!

Hello all, I'm going to inspect a second-hand PC with the intention of buying. I will be able to demo it before any such purchase, so I'm curious what particular codes I should look for on the hardware, and what stress tests I can subject it to (I'll elaborate below)? The PC contains: An Intel i7 5930K CPU, ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard, Corsair 2 x 8GB 3000MHz DDR4 RAM, Samsung 256GB SSD, Corsair HX1000i Platinum PSU, and 2x (crossfire) VEGA 64 GPUs modded with EK FC water cooling system. The CPU is also cooled with via the same water cooling system. (see picture below). The overall price is ~ $1960 USD (so quite good). Firstly, I'd like to say I have no experience with water cooling systems, so I'm concerned that it may have at one stage run dry or leaked, how can I test this? Secondly, I'm wary of scams and am curious is there any way to physically see specific codes on the hardware (particularly the VEGA 64 GPUs) that are not covered by the water cooling system? Of course, I will also look at the system information via the operating system to evaluate the exact hardware, but am concerned if the current owned has somehow changed this (thus want to see physical codes). Finally, what stress tests can and should I perform? Is there anything I can run off a USB? Kind regards, Ignition. P.S Please add any other things I should place on my checklist before purchase.
