just thought of this idea.... if you have an old laptop or even an on old pc you could do some pretty awesome stuff for not a whole lot. so i got this idea, what if i through a htpc into my wall.... i work inside on-q panels all the time and there is some interesting things you could do. btw you will/ must know what you are doing in this situation. dont attempt to try to do this if you dont know what is inside an on-q panel.. 1. if your on-q panel is big enough you dont have to buy a new one. 2. if you have an old laptop you can buy 3 things to make into and awesome rig for this project all here allright so to start let me explain fully my idea. this start out as an idea to have your computer safely stored so no one could steal it. then i remebered that if you run lines to the on-q panel you could connect all the tvs in your house and you could put the on-q panel in your closet (where they are perfectly acceptable to be if you worried about the look or having it there anyway) so essentially you can have a whole house computer. i have made lists for required items if your just wanting to start from nothing. so ya here it is. if you had the pc or laptop and if you didnt want the graphics all you would need is the little bits and the cat5 cable (plus tools...) p.s. the panel thats is put over the on-q panel needs to be cut so that at least 2 fast can be installed for ventilation. dimention.txt

So I want to know which cooler is the best for overclocking. My budget for the cooler is around 100 euro's. Also do I need to buy pasta myself or do I get it with the cooler? And if I need to buy it myself which is the best? Hi everyone, I'm building a game pc and I have chosen all the components. Now I need someone to give me advise on the build. I want to know if some components will bottleneck each other and if everything fit each other. I'm planning on playing games like Overwatch, Black Desert Online and the Witcher 3. How much fps do you think I will get in these games? (on max settings) I will probably play it on 1080p. My build: CPU: Intel core i5 7600K CPU cooler: cryorig r1 universal Motherboard: Asus ROG strix Z270F RAM: Corsair vengeance lpx (3200MHz) 2 stick from 8GB SSD: samsung evo 960 500GB (pci m.2) HDD: WD blue edition 1TB GPU: Asus ROG strix gtx 1060 OC 6GB PSU: Corsair RM650x OS: windows 10 pro 64-bit Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I have a pretty basic build: AMD FX-6300 Gigabyte LA-83 MOBO WD blue 1TB HDD Zotac GTX1050ti Basic cheapo RAM - DDR3 1x 8Gb stick @ 1600mhz Phantex p400 1080p 60hz monitor I know I should have done things differently... I have learnt a load since I built this!!! (like the lack of an SSD, Should have got a 960, built a ddr4 system, should have gone intel maybe Pentium G3450) I have about £600 (1000 Canadian dollars/ 780 US but computer parts are more expensive in the UK) and would like to know how I should upgrade my system. I am happy to buy used (but there are hardly any used parts for sale where I live). Should I go Ryzen? Intel i5? save more? (I realise I should move away from the AM3+ socket......... (built before ryzen was coming soon xD)

Do you name you builds, or is that just something that people uploading a video are supposed to do to help identify which one it is?

I know that all of my choices were terrible but how much do you think I should put it up for sale for and any tips on what I could add or change that would add value and make more money. I want to get rid of this computer so I can use the extra cash to upgrade to a better newer computer. I don't need people to tell me how stupid I am or to talk about my choices because this was my first ever computer build and I didn't have much planning time or as much knowledge as I do now PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t8MBd6 Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t8MBd6/by_merchant/ CPU: AMD FX-8300 3.3GHz 8-Core Processor ($93.88 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED 66.3 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler ($21.42 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FX-Gaming ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($141.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory ($120.97 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.66 @ OutletPC) Case: Corsair SPEC-ALPHA (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($74.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($47.98 @ Newegg) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit ($106.89 @ OutletPC) Other: Sapphire R7 240 4GB DDR3 Total: $655.78

Since it's release back in October 10th 2007. Team Fortress 2 is considered a mark in video game history from it being the first class based FPS game on the market. So, since Linus and Luke made a nuclear bomb themed build for Fallout 4. Why not a TF2 based build? Like making a Heavy themed build?

Hello, I was looking to upgrade my CPU currently im rocking an FX 6350 cpu with a gtx 960 4gb. so I want to upgrade my cpu. However, I find it hard to pinpoint which will give me the best performance/ dollar. I need input on which CPU will be best. I have a good cpu air cooler so I'm willing to do some overclocking, since I've heard the AMD cpu's can really overclock. I have seen some price drops from intel that makes them look better right now (for gaming). However, I am not sure how the latest updates have affected AMD cpu's. Input about r5 vs i5 value and overclocking would be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I haven't posted here in a while so I thought I'd grace your presence with my upgrade build idea. Now I'd like to note that while I may have a 1080 in this build I am not buying the gpu till Vega drops. Hoping that my dreams will not be crushed and Vega will be just as good or better than a 1080 with a lower price point. As you can tell this is my RGB build with a budget of 1700-1800 US dollars. I am avoiding Ryzen builds only because I haven't seen a motherboard that is both RGB and contains the Bluetooth and Wifi capabilities. If someone know of a motherboard that contains these then I'd love to see your Ryzen recommendations. I mainly post these to give people who love suggesting builds like me something to do. If you have any questions just ask? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gj2Bd6

I have recently built my PC but have found that I am not achieving the frame rates that I would like (High 1080p 60fps). My specs are an FX 4350, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 960 4GB and 8 gigs of ddr3 1600 ram. What should I upgrade first to achieve better frames and what upgrade path should I take?

So I've had a problem with my custom built pc and i have found that whenever it is connected to the internet, even if nothing is open and it is just on the desk top, it locks up and freezes/ hangs, the fans still run and the led's in the case are also on. I had windows 10 and then installed windows 8 to see if it was a dodgy operating system. I brought another stick of ram and replaced it to see if it was the ram, i have removed the harddrive and installed windows on an ssd to see if it was that, i have also took the graphics card out and test integrated graphics to see if it was the GPU, this has been a problem ever since i have put together my PC, it freezes with ethernet or a usb wifi adapter. My specs: B150 msi ddr4 mother board DDR4 8gb and 4gb of ram GTX 960 4GB gpu i5 6400 processor 1tb hard drive 500 watt EVGA powersupply, dont know the specific type.
