So, I downloaded a seemingly innocent file when it decided to install a load of cr*p with it. I thought to myself ,hey i will just uninstall it,so i did, and as normal i shut down my pc. Later when i decided to boot up my pc, i found it had all re-installed and more. Could anyone recommend anything? Btw i have done 2 virus scans each time showing up with new trojans which i remove and just reinstall later

Lenovo Lenovo crams unremovable crapware into Windows laptops
Barrington posted a topic in Tech News
Built into the firmware on the laptops' motherboard is a piece of code called the Lenovo Service Engine (LSE). If Windows is installed, the LSE is executed before the Microsoft operating system is launched. The LSE makes sure C:\Windows\system32\autochk.exe is Lenovo's variant of the autochk.exe file; if Microsoft's official version is there, it is moved out of the way and replaced. The executable is run during startup, and is supposed to check the computer's file system to make sure it's free of any corruption. Lenovo's variant of this system file ensures LenovoUpdate.exe and LenovoCheck.exe are present in the operating system's system32 directory, and if not, it will copy the executables into that directory during boot up. So if you uninstall or delete these programs, the LSE in the firmware will bring them back during the next power-on or reboot. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/08/12/lenovo_firmware_nasty/ -
So, I finally got my mom up and running on her new computer, and my sister wants to use the old computer as her own. She can of course, use it as it is now, but it quite honestly just sucks as it sits, with all that HP bloatware. (also, we don't have the reformat disc that came with it anymore) So I was thinking, why not use one of the two windows install discs I have laying around (one from my rig, and one from the new one), and when it comes time to verify the install online, use the windows Product Key that came with the HP installation of windows 7? Is this possible?

This is what I need to disable every time when I do hard reset on my GRAND 2: http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/b94e/ajshkhswq6bdgclzg.jpg?size_id=8 I know some of the apps from the list is helpful for some users like gmail, google maps etc but there is 10+ more app's that you cant disable or delete like: flipboard, samsung hub and hub service's, dropbox services, my magazine app etc. And I'm hoping that it will be something from this: http://www.mytechbits.com/samsung-and-oppo-sued-for-loading-their-phones-with-bloatware/9812140/ What's the situation on your phones ?

Ok, so my friend has a hard drive that is now really slow, obviously because it's an hdd, but slower than usual. He has an insane amount of pop up ads and banners on chrome, and stuff will pop up even when browsers aren't open. I need something that will remove EVERYTHING that could be causing this. I told him to just wipe the drive, but he doesn't want to. and hes not that great with computers and stuff. ANy suggestions?

Hello everyone! Don't think this has been posted here before, but... This is a batch file I found and use to remove the toolbars, bloatware, general crap from computers (and also some of the preinstalled packages that come on dell and HP machines). It doesn't check to confirm if the program is installed, just runs a quick uninstall command, if its not installed then it doesn't really matter and it just keeps going. *** Each program removal is covered by an ECHO command above it so you can see what's being removed and were in the script it happens, if you do not want to remove any of the programs, just remove the ECHO and any lines below it until the next ECHO Also it's fairly easy to add your own uninstallers, should be fairly self explanitory when you see the code! If you're not familiar with batch files, just copy the following code into notepad++ (normal notepad will do.....) and save it as something.bat with the file type set to 'all files' Source: I was wondering if anyone had any good resources for safe to remove bloatware for the Samsung Galaxy SIII, or even just any Galaxy line of phones. Preferred to have Titanium backup method of removal and SGH-I747/M model (AT&T/Bell) of galaxy SIII. The list NEEDS to be updated for 4.3 and have info on each bloatware software (as in what it affects). If no one has an good resources on this I'm thinking of pooling my own list from various sources/own testing.

I have bought a new laptop. It is Sony Vaio Pro 13". Just like every other laptop, this comes with a lot of bloatware. I would like to do a clean installation of Windows, but it seems to be more challenging than I first thought. The laptop comes with preinstalled Windows 8 OEM. The reset function of the Windows 8 doesn't seem to work, because it comes with an error message. Sony seems to have crippled the reset function. The laptop contains Sony's own recovery software but that just reinstalls all the bloatware. It also requires a USB stick that is larger than 16Gb. That's not a problem, but it seems a little odd. I've managed to get the Win 8 product key and I've tried downloading the official ISO from Microsoft, but the installation software doesn't want to give me the ISO file because apparently the product key cannot be used such way. Only a retail key would work. I have two Pro-version retail keys but they are installed on another machines. So I can't use neither of them to do the clean Win 8 (non Pro) installation. I guess the non Pro-version image and the Pro image are the same? Only the key determines which version it is? I downloaded the PC Decrapifier software and used it to clean most of the bloatware but I really would like to do a full wipe on the machine. Have any of you guys managed to do a clean Win 8 installation on your new laptops?
