Hi all, Really hoping someone can help me with this. I'm having an issue with lock ups / freezing. The issue happens when I'm in game (mostly Escape from Tarkov but it's done it with other stuff including Halo MCC - I'm highly confident it'd do it with any game, I just don't play much else right now). I'll be happily playing along and all of a sudden, everything will just freeze BUT the audio will keep playing. It'll then black screen. Most of the time, after a handful of seconds on the black screen, I'll hear the distinctive click of the PSU and it'll turn off and then reboot itself. Interestingly, while it's frozen, the fans etc will still be at their same speed but when the black screen hits, they all come down a bit (but not to idle). Here's the even more interesting bit: after it's done it once, it generally will not do it again until after it's been shut down and left. Generally, I can expect it to freeze and reboot within the first hour of playing. But after it does it, it'll generally play for 4/5/6 hours with no more issues. But after shutting down and leaving it for a while (usually overnight), it'll then do it the next time I come online. One more piece to factor in, I built this rig in 2019 or so and it's never done this before. It's only started happening over the last couple of months. My specs are below: Intel i7-9700k 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3000MHz Nvidia RTX2070 Super with EK Vector water block ASUS Prime Z390-P II Mobo Seasonic Prime PX-1000 1000W PSU WD Black 500GB M.2 Boot Drive WD Blue 2TB Game Drive (Let me know if I've forgotten anything) Win10 Home (Full Retail Version) Things I've tried so far: Complete re-install of Win10 (22H2) Built in windows memory test (all passed) DDU clean and reinstall of drivers DDU removal of any intel and AMD drivers (not that any should exist) When it does it, it is under load but the temps are acceptable (around 70s on both CPU and GPU - I know this is high for a water cooled system but it's a very non-normal case so doesn't have the same kinda airflow capacity that other systems have). I highly doubt that it's an overheating issue because that also wouldn't explain why after it's rebooted itself it seems to be fine. I'm really struggling to make sense of this behaviour. I did find some stuff in the event viewer which seems to be related to the GPU and happens right when it shuts off to reboot: Source: nvlddmkm event id 14 following info included: \Device\Video3 CMDre 00000002 00003ffc ffffffff 00000007 00ffffff The one thing I haven't done (partly because it kinda scares me) is to update the BIOS. HOWEVER, please bear in mind that I've had this system for nearly 5 years and it's never been an issue until just very recently. Anyone think of what it might be? I'm very worried that my GPU itself is dying. The only other thing that occurs to me is that it might be something to do with c-states since shutting it down doesn't fully shut this machine down since it has fast boot. But when it reboots, it's a genuine, fresh boot. But that still doesn't explain why it's never done it before? Any and all help welcomed. Thanks in advance

I've been having an annoying issue with my week-old Odyssey G8 OLED since I got it. Basically, the screen will randomly turn black for a second or two at a time and I have no idea why. Thankfully it never happens when playing games, but it does frequently when doing pretty much anything else. Anyone have any idea what would be causing this? Also I have it in a dual monitor setup with another display, the other being an LG 32" IPS (can't remember exact model), and they are plugged into an RTX 2070 Super - if that info is relevant.

The monitor on my recently purchased HP Omen 25L computer randomly goes black, and I've encountered some issues. I have a 4060Ti, i7 13700F, and 16GB RAM, and my power supply is 600W. From the first time I turnd it on, the monitor turns black for a few seconds, and after pressing some buttons on the keyboard it brings it back. This can happen every 10 seconds or up to 20 minutes, usually lasting only a few seconds. The lights on the mouse and keyboard also stop during this time. When it comes back on, it's like my computer restarted - all programs are closed, even though the PC was still on. I've swapped monitors and HDMI cables, both at the same speed. All drivers are updated(I think). I even went to a shop, and they mentioned that not everything was entirely installed. They checked the device manager, where some icons had yellow triangles. They advised updating those, but my attempts failed. I then tried reinstalling Windows, but that didn't fix the issue. I'm seeking help to resolve this problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There's a dim streak on the side of my display that's pretty visible when viewing dark images. I don't actually know if it's been here since I bought it or I actually just noticed it now. What could this be?

#1 Built a new system like 3-4 months ago, all seemed okay until something really odd happened... Went to sleep after watching a movie late night, when I woke up my PC was in sleep mode, moved my mouse and my HDMI monitor was turning black then showing like 1 frame of full image for 1 second and then black again for like 2-3 seconds and then again show some glitched out images with weird colors and then goes to black again.... and this repeats for long time. Sometimes it finally stops, when it does, sometimes ends up in a crystal clear image and sometimes in a clear image but with an pink overlay, but if I close the monitor from the power button and power it back on, it gets fixed... But still, sometimes it never stops going black. Then all I can do is turn it OFF and then ON again till it launches normally. Keep in mind that my secondary monitor which is on DVI port works fine on the same times but sometimes misses a frame at the moment my HDMI monitor shows an image and goes black again.(not going black, just lags like maybe when you connect a monitor on a port or something) What I tried so far... 1.Uninstalled drivers with DDU on safe mode and did a fresh install. 2.Bought a new HDMI cable. 3.Lowered my RAM timings to default, since it was the only thing I had tweaked. My thoughts: 1.I'm thinking that maybe it could be a bad monitor, since it is a cheap LG 22MP55HQ and its already 5-6 years old. 2.On my previous system, I was having somehow similar kind o problem... my system was booting fine but my monitor and USB devices were not getting power and I had to close the system by holding the power button and keep holding it pressed until it turns completely off and keep it 2-3 extra seconds...and yea those 2-3 seconds where the trick...so lucky I found out about it back then. AND THE ONLY PARTS im still using on this setup are my old HDD drives. Haven't tried disconnecting those would anyone think its even worth trying?...well to be absolutely true, I'm also using my Razer Deathadder and my MOTOSPEED mechanical keyboard... My current Hardware setup: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16) MOBO: AsRock B450M-HDV R4.0 GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8GB Pulse I'm lost here, I would appreciate some help Cheers

So I have a MSI 6800 gaming x trio. Looking to see if anybody came across a similar issue. I already started RMA but since it is the holiday's in Canada (Manitoba), nothing is open until Tuesday. I want to see if anyone can think of anything I may have missed. Either way, here is what had happened. Bought a card on January 27, when I plugged in the card I was replacing a 5700 xt, the monitors didn't start. I had to restart a few times, eventually booted in safe mode. I figured I might as well format since there were other system issues. So I backed everything up and formatted. Everything worked fine for about 2 weeks. Yesterday, Feb 13, The system would start loading (windows loading circle), but about halfway through the screens would go black. I fixed this by going into safe mode and restarting. This allowed me to get into the login page for my windows account, and continue my day normally. Today, Feb 14, again same thing except this time the safe mode didn't help. I tried to uninstall the drivers. and revert to the November MS approved driver update. That didn't work, during installation it would go black around the 70-80% mark. Again, I could go safe mode but not into regular. At this point I remounted my RAM (I got a BSOD one time with the message "Memory Management", online everyone refers to RAM being faulty, hence the remount. Can it also mean VRAM?) and moved my video card to the second PCI slot. Again didn't help. Now I formatted. And you guessed it, no help. Finally I reinstalled my Nvidia 960 2g, and so far no issues with it. Anybody see something like this? What did you do get everything working?

pc specs are: Intel Core i7-10700 Processor RAM: 16 GB / Storage: 2 TB HDD & 512 GB SSD Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB 550W Power Supply (not sure on the model its a pre-built and the site i bought it from doesnt say only know its 550 after opening it up and could see the number poking through) Windows 10 Basically every now and then the picture cuts to black for about 3-5 seconds, cant see the mouse, can't see anything then returns to normal. At first I thought it was just my monitor, made sure its connected properly, changed display cables, and even plugged the monitor into its own wall plug incase it wasn't getting enough power from an extention cable. Seemed fine for a bit until one of these "4 second black outs" happened when I was using Blender to make a 3D model, and after the blackout blender crashed with 0 recovery of the file I was working on. The project file wasnt processor or graphics intensive at all (my crappy 5 year old laptop with a GTX 960 and a an i5 could run the blend file no problem) the current version of Blender I use (2.91) has had no problems with crashing this easily, and yet it crashed 4 times during 4 "black outs"(I also noticed if I had a Youtube video open and paused, after the black out the whole video would be a flat green when i clicked back on the tab but would play just fine if i resumed the video, again, never happened until right after a "blackout") also worth mentioning that it doesnt crash anyother time, only when the blackout comes back and I see that blender is no longer open. It blacked out a few times playing Dota 2 as well but it didn't crash it. Drivers are up to date too. Did some digging and could it be that my graphics card isn't getting enough power? NVIDIA recomend at least a 650W psu, but I haven't found anywhere that thats a symptom of insufficent power. But I just wanted to check if someone else knew what was wrong with it for sure before I waste time, money and effort getting a new psu when it could be something else, or if I am right and need a new psu. Thanks in advance for anyone taking time out your day to help me out xx

Hi, I recently switched from AMD to Intel and since then my GPU will not receive a signal only giving a black screen but the onboard graphics work. I have taken the GPU to be tested at my local shop and it worked fine so I thought it could have been my motherboard, after trying with a new motherboard it still gives a black screen only working with the onboard graphics. What could be the issue here? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. CPU: i5 9600k Motherboard: MSI Z390 A PRO GPU: GTX 1080 PS: EVGA 600W BQ

So I was playing and speaking with one friend, when my pc just went put of game. Black screen, heard something like error( example, wheb you click out of working windows when not allowed to), then I heard sound of my friend and music in background. But monitor shows no signal. I restart pc again hear but no signal. And I let it to cool down a bit, now it started but this blue windows logo. Last time I saw this logo, PC went to repair and I waited fvcking full month to get done. And got priced really high. What the heck is now with it. Its not moving from this logo. I tried to boot without usbs connected but nothing, then i changed sata cables, nothing. Reinserted ram, cable from gpu, and still nothing. I know pc is old but i need it now
