I have a Samsung QLED QN75Q70AAFXZA and a Samsung home theater HTD6500W. The TV I just recently got from my grandfather after he passed away and I can not figure out why the audio always sounds flat. It worked fine with my previous TV UN65RU8000F. So I figured maybe just get a new receiver or HTIB. Ned opinions on using my old speakers with a new receiver, or to buy a new HTIB. I would like to stay under $500 US. Figured might even be able to get something nice with Black Friday coming. Please, would love to hear any suggestions

Summary Newegg and Amazon have the new Black Friday deals live, with the flagship AMD Ryzen 9 7950X: normally $699, down to $574, the second-best Zen 4 processor in the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X: normally $549, down to $474 while the third-best Zen 4 processor in the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X: normally $399, down to $349, leaving the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X: normally $299, down to $249. Quotes My thoughts This is a great move to better compete with Raptor/Alder Lake parts. Hopefully the price cuts stick around and are not temporary. It should also be noted that Guru3D, Videocardz and eTeknix also saw price cuts in Europe which I included in the source links. The Ryzen 9 7950X has seen a price drop of 130 Euros in a week; meaning the CPU can be had for 649 Euros. the 7900X can be spotted for 519 EUR, the Ryzen 7 7700 at 379 EUR, and the 7600 around 297 EUR. I imagine that if these price drops are being seen worldwide that perhaps they are here to stay and not temporary. Now all they need is better priced motherboards and AM5 will be a much more compelling platform to recommend. Best buy posted their black friday deals. I'm conflicted between this HP Victus and this Lenovo ideapad. I have a gaming desktop so I don't really care for the GPUs, but anything cheaper than these two are pretty bad. I'm a computer science major so I'd prefer more CPU cores. RAM is cheap and easy to upgrade, but I don't know how good Intel's hybrid architecture is for virtualization (I run windows, but do all my development tasks in WSL2). For a developer-type use case, would the 4 p-cores + 4 e-cores or 6 zen 3 cores be better? If there's any i7s or Ryzen 7s in a $500-ish laptop, I'd love to hear about it also.

Summary According to data from Adobe Digital Economy Index, the Xbox Series S was Black Friday’s most popular console. Adobe got this data from over 1 trillion visits to U.S. retail sites. Quotes My thoughts I think this story shows how people are increasingly buying cheaper consoles and how mass supply shortages are just increasing this trend. Also, it is clear many people either can't afford, or don't need a high end console right now and how Microsoft took advantage of this with the 300 price of the Xbox Series S(whether it was inadvertently or advertently). I’m looking at the Corsair 5000D Airflow on Newegg (currently $159.99) for my PC Build and wondering if it’s a deal I should take right now or should wait longer on. I know Black Friday “deals” can be misleading and don’t know if there’s anywhere I could get this at a better price. I was thinking of getting the 4000D Airflow since it seems to be at a legitimately good price right now, but I wanted a bit more space and to be able to top mount my 360mm AIO, which the 5000D allows me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

purchase advice Advice on Recent Monitor Purchase (LG 24GL600F)
ClickForLife posted a topic in Displays
Hi there, I recently picked up an LG 24GL600F in the Black Friday sales for £116.99. It's a 144hz TN panel. I'm wondering if anyone can advise if I've took the right choice over some other products like the IPS MSI 241C or the AOC 24G2. The only thing that put me off these displays was the higher price tag and higher GTG response times. The selling points of the LG monitor was of course its 144hz refresh rate and it's stated 1ms (GTG). I mostly play fast paced games such as Fornite, Call of Duty and Halo. I'm in no way an esports player, and just play for fun. I also use the monitor for alot of office work and reading as I'm currently working from home. Have I made a good purchase, or should I have chosen a different panel? I'm currently using a Dell ST2220L TN panel with 5ms and 60hz, so it's definitely an upgrade! Also, are any fellow LG 24GL600F owners able to comment whether I made the right choice as I've now read some stories online about smeary text and blurriness on desktop. Thanks!-

Hi guys, so black friday is just about here and I've been keeping an eye on slick deals for good deals for a prebuilt gaming rig but I honestly don't know what components to prioritize or the minimum specs to be looking for. So hopefully some of you can help me out here. Budget is $1000-$1500 for a medium to low high-end system that will last at least 3-5 years without falling behind too badly. Even though it would appreciated, I dont expect anyone to shop for me but just need some pointers on the main things to look for as I'm really out of the loop. Also is there any other place to look for deals other than slick deals? Thanks in advance.

I am looking for a TV that is around the $1000 range plus or minus a few hundred dollars. I’m not too fond of OLED because of the risk of burning in. I was looking at Samsung Q 70 due to its 120 Hz refresh rate but I was also looking at the Q80. My question is are there other TVs in this price range that are better than these two TVs? I like Sony and LG brand TVs as well. Black Friday deals are going on so some of these more expensive TVs are in my price range

As the title suggest, what could I expect in terms of sales for cyber monday and black friday this year (And in general) I am still getting familiar with the major sale events and such in Canada, so I don't have back history of relative experience to think back at, to strategize my spending. I am looking to get back into having a desktop again, will flip my gaming laptop and get a relatively cheap business laptop off the marketplace, to be my workhorse for school. Along with the savings from that and some other savings, put them into an ITX build I always wanted to do, but never had a reason to No GPU, will grab a random one off the marketplace for the time being, eventually get something decent for VR, when that's a bit more mature. Basically what I am planning to eye, minus go for the newer 3rd gen ryzen 5 instead, that's completely out of stock everywhere, and can't see myself seeing that one sale, with it selling like hot cakes, if the price is right, I'll just get the older one and TBH it's plenty for my use case, and VR.

Hey guys, I've had a 1080ti for about 2 years now and have been stuck at 1080p 60hz until today. I decided to buy a 27 inch 1080p 144hz g- sync compatible motherboard from Costco, it was 70 dollars off coming to a total of $179 everything was fine (man 144hz is amazing), up until it wasn't... Lines started appearing on the screen and then it started ghosting really bad, I was playing bo4 when it happened. I recorded the events and then closed the game hoping that everything would stop. But the only thing that happened is that it turned green and white and completely froze up. I didn't know what to do so I unplugged the monitor I thought leaving it plugged in would cause prolonged damage. About and hour later I tried it again and it was the same problem upon the monitor turning on. So I need help considering what to do (assuming the monitor is broken) 1. Retun it or 2. Go through the manufacture warranty I have attached the link to the monitor and the videos of the monitor. So I've had my eye on the Lg 27gl650F-B on amazon since its bigger brother the Lg 27gl83A-B sold out this morning. a $350 monitor on sale for $200 is pretty nice looking to my novice eyes but I was wondering if I should take the shot to my wallet now and buy a 1080p, 144hz monitor with 1ms response ISP panel and free-sync with g-sync compatibility or should I wait until cyber monday and hope there's something as good or better. I don't want to spend more than $300 on a monitor which is why I usually wait for these sales so I can get something actually worth the money I put into it. I also plan on upgrading my rig to specs that can handle 1440p at 144hz but that won't come for a while unless a really good deal on GPUs comes around on cyber monday so I can pick up a nice RX 5700 XT.

So I’ve been slowly upgrading my pc and I decided that my monitor is one of the first investments I should choose. Right now I have some 1080p, 60hz display I picked up on the cheap about two years ago coupled with a GTX 1060 that came with the rig that I bought around the same time. Because I tend to play large amounts of FPS and rhythm games, I know I should be getting a higher refresh rate monitor so I’m prioritizing refresh rate over resolution, though if I can squeeze by with a 1440p for when I replace my GPU with something a little more modern (keeping my fingers crossed for a good deal come cyber Monday for a good rx 5700 xt) I would like that a lot. I found a monitor on amazon that has been discounted: the lg 25GL650f-b on sale for $200 down from $350 https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL650F-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07R7636MH/ the monitor has pretty much everything I need, namely the high refresh rate and a low pixel response time. It also has a few other neat things like g-sync compatibility, free-sync, and an IPS panel for when I play some RPGs or edit some videos in my off time. However it is also a 1080p on a 27” panel and I’ve heard people say that the pixel density is too low. There is also the factor of me upgrading my rig so longevity of my hardware is a priority next to refresh rate and I feel that 1080p might not be enough once I get things upgraded to the point that I can handle 1440p fairly well. this is where the above monitor’s big brother comes in: the lg 27GL83A-B https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL83A-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07YGZL8XF/ this does all that the 650 does but in addition to being in 1440p. The draw back is that the 83 is only on sale for $320 from $380 the big question is whether or not the 83 is worth the extra $180 for longevity’s sake or take the much more obvious deal of the 650 and cough up the money for another monitor in a year or two.

Hey, so its currently Black Friday and I was thinking of buying myself some DDR4 RAM for an upgrade I want to make from early next year to around June, when the new RTX cards drop. Only I'm not sure whether its a smart thing to even buy DDR4 RAM at this point, since we've now had it for a while now and I feel like DDR5 is just around the corner. Does anyone here maybe know a little more about this?

Hey guys. I'm looking to build an entry level gaming PC, taking advantage of Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday deals. My budget is $700 before tax and shipping, and I'm in Canada. I don't need a monitor, or any peripherals. Preferably limited to Amazon, Newegg, and Canada Computers (a good enough sale, and I'll look at others as well). This is the closest I've been able to put together on PCPartPicker. PCPartPicker Part List: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/pFhY9G CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($145.99 @ Amazon Canada) Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard ($129.99 @ Amazon Canada) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($79.98 @ Amazon Canada) Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($79.98 @ Amazon Canada) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 4 GB Gaming 4G Video Card ($169.00 @ Canada Computers) Case: Rosewill NAUTILUS ATX Mid Tower Case ($40.99 @ Amazon Canada) Power Supply: Corsair CXM 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply ($79.98 @ Amazon Canada) Total: $725.91 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-11-28 10:01 EST-0500 I was hoping to be able to get the 3600, but then a video card would be out of the question? Secondary storage, better cooling (if needed), will come later. For case, mainly just don't want glass. And the rest, leaning towards reliability/longevity as much as possible. Here is my PCPartPicker, with a few builds and a bunch of parts favourited that I'm keeping an eye on. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Kytheon/ Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

With Black Friday around the corner I want a new main monitor that is better than my current one (Acer ED242QR 75hz 1080p) with in a £250 (UK Pounds) budget (or if you don't think I need an upgrade or should put money elsewhere in my system). I play mainly CS:GO, Forza Horizon 4, Stardew Valley, Just Cause 3, Gmod and Euro Truck Sim 2. Also I do some photo editing/ graphic design. Hi, so Black Friday is coming and I'm building a PC, not strictly for gaming, but I'd like it to be able to do so in 1080p maybe in the future at 1440p. I also will be using for crunching numbers, I do some Sales Analysis for Purchasing Forecasting for multiple stores from a central distribution center, so 8000 sku database with sales data combine with excel is the main use for the PC, and Casual Gaming. The question is rather simple, is it worth to choose the new 3600 over the 2700x, knowing that it will be 169.99$ vs 199.99$. Is it good enough the 3rd Gen Ryzen, even with 2 less cores? I'm trying to build something that's not going to be obsolete in a year an a half from now. But also I don't want to break the bank if it's not necessary. Here is the list that I'm planing: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($169.99) Motherboard: ASRock B450M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($69.99) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory ($69.99) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($97.59 @ Amazon) Video Card: ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB CHALLENGER D OC Video Card ($369.99) Case: Phanteks P300 ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99) Power Supply: EVGA G5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99) Total: $887.53 Any recommendations?

Hi all, I've been trying to save up to build myself a new rig for a few years now, but I've always had some unexpected stuff to spend money on like my car breaking down and such. Also, I only got more familiar with PC gaming hardware since I discovered the Linus Media Group Youtube channels around December last year. So now I'm gearing up to buy all the parts I need for my upgrade at the end of November (Black Friday is the 29th). I was wondering though, Black Friday has really started to become a thing here in Belgium (although still not nearly as huge as in America), but I don't know if Cyber Monday is also gaining popularity. So I was wondering if there are any people here from Belgium / The Netherlands / Germany who can offer some advice if I should buy on Black Friday, or wait for Cyber Monday instead. I don't want to risk waiting and missing out on better deals because Cyber Monday hasn't kicked off yet over here. I will buy most of my stuff on amazon.de (there is no Amazon in Belgium) but I'll keep an eye on other sites as well to see if there are better deals elsewhere. Currently I have the following parts in mind, feel free to suggest improvements but my budget will be quite strict (I'm open to similar parts if the prices for my choices aren't dropping very much though). My current rig is in desperate need of an upgrade (I'll also be submitting an entry for the ROG Rig Reboot but don't want to put too much hope in that). Any advice will be appreciated!

I'm looking for a good laptop with a sub 1000 Dollar budget, mostly for light video editing but I will have to take it on the go a lot. Would you recommend buying a laptop from ebay which is considered new/manufacturer refurbished? and what laptops would you recommend overall in the price range?
