So recently my older brother has bought the same computer as me a 1080ti msi duke Ryzen 7 1700 Msi 350 mate motherboard The issue is he is only getting 90 fps in overwatch on high settings while i get around 200 on the exact same settings. Both our computers only use a % of its resources for example my graphis card only hits 40% usage. My cpu hits around 15-20% while playing and ram is around 50%. So I was wondering if there was anyway to get overwatch to use more of my computer so I could push higher fps. He has a 144hz 1920x1080 monitor and i have a 240hz 1920x1080 monitor. Yes we have drivers and they are all up to date

Hello community; Here's the build:-ASUS B350 Plus -Ryzen 5 1600-Gtx980-Ripjaws 3000mhz by gskill-1tb Toshiba hard drive - No ssd yet - Cx600 Corsair PSUAll in a Spec-Alpha Case by Corsair------------So here's the issue, after finishing the build I tried to light on my machine, the LEDs on board lit up as if they were in standby but pressing down on the power button wouldn't do anything. No fans spinning, no beeps, nothing.-----Troubleshooting that I tried:- Made sure all cables needed were connected, pressed down on them as hard as I smartly could- Checked my CPU in case I broke some pins but it was perfectly fine.- Unplugged Ram, re plugged one by one and yet nothing was working.- Tried to connect both power pins with a screwdriver incase case wasn't working properly and nothing happened - Tried to clear the CLR and nothing happened- Re-did all the wiring and nothing happened - Made sure the panel connectors were plugged in the right place________At this point I'm thinking that the motherboard was sent to me already dead, what do you think guys?________Thanks for your time!

Hi all. I have a strange problem that when I search for it online comes up with wholly unrelated information. I am building a Ryzen 7 system on an ASUS Prime B350 motherboard as I have done many times before. I am using a Samsung 960 EVO 500GB SSD as the OS/Boot device as I have also done many times before. The problem is this is for a customer and he wants a mirrored set of 2TB HDD... So I setup the RAID in the UEFI and installed Windows on the NVME SSD. I couldn't see the RAID Array or the BD-RW Drive when I did the install but I chucked that up to not having RAID Drivers loaded at install... Funny enough when I got into windows and went to install the missing RID Drivers, AMD's installer said "NO" So evidently AMD's RAID Controller can't be Configured, Setup and Installed on a Windows System that is booted from an NVME Boot Device. So I took the drivers from the extracted AMD Installer and side-loaded them in Device Manager... Still Nothing. I formatted the system, put the drivers on the Windows Install Flash-drive and tried to install them Pre-Install... Nothing... WTF? Can Anyone help me here or am I going to have to use a Windows Disk Management based Software RAID? This is a Windows 10 Home 64bit 1709 with drivers from AMD's website for RAID and Chipset.

ryzen mAtx b350 motherboard recommendation
NewBieDavid posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello guys ! I am getting the Ryzen 5 1600 and just cant decide on a motherboard yet because I'm going Matx and there is waaay less options than ATX . I'm going for a red/black color scheme with Trident Z 3200Mhz Ram so even less options. The choices I came across so far are : MSI B350M GAMING (only 2 ram slots so I don't know) and the actual 2 choices I cant decide uponGigabyte GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 MatxMSI B350M MORTAR I'm looking to overclock my Ryzen cpu so I'm looking for a stable motherboards that can handle higher Voltage. Hey, guys, it's my first time building a pc. My parts are Ryzen 1600, asus gtx 770 4 gb, msi b350 tomahawk mb, 4gb ballistic crucial 2400 ddr4 (will buy another 4gb in another week same brand). Its running stock amd cooler and a 500bq psu from evga its 80+ bronze. My storage is a hard drive from old pc, its 1tb 7200 rpm 64 mb cache. I have installed everything and connected my usb keyboard and mouse and connected via hdmi to my TV. I have a monitor but it only took in vga or dvi which either my gpu didnt support or i didnt have cable. So I pressed case power on. All the rgb strips lit up, all the fans were working. My problems were 1) My TV kept saying no signal, I plugged into each of the 3 hdmi ports into my tv it was all the same. 2) The boot led in the ez debug panel on mb was lit, on the manual it says boot drive not detected or failed. Since it was the only ez debug led that was on, it meant it detected my ram, cpu and gpu and such. 3) My keyboard wouldnt light up. Usually when i press caps lock it lights up. 4) I connected my speakers, there was no beeping noise? Are there supposed to be noise? So what is my problem here? Is it my TV? Is it a faulty gpu port? Is it a fault with how i set up my motherboard? The IO panel not working? I have tried front panel which had same issue with keyboard. I am sorry to write a freaking essay but this is really bugging me. I am just a teenager who spent 900 dollar for thus setup all my part time work money and its making me really sad. Any help would be appreciated.

I've decided on a Ryzen 5 1600 for a new gaming build (though I'm planning on waiting for the 2000 series NVidia graphics cards to drop to put it together) and I'm compiling my pcpartspicker list. I don't plan to overclock until gaming and running a program or two in the background (like Spotify or a chat utility) becomes terribly inefficient, so I don't need the X370's crazy clocking power or crossfire/SLI support. With a plan to buy about a $400-500 graphics card, that shouldn't be a problem for a while, and I imagine any 2000 series equivalent to a 1070 Ti or 1080 will fit the bill and provide no problems. The sole reason I want to overclock is to keep from needing to upgrade for a longer period of time, because it seems that a simple mobo upgrade and a heatsink I would've wanted to buy anyway for stability is all that's required. If I could forego a heatsink and mobo upgrade premium and just use the money for a better CPU and get the same performance upgrade, I'll do that. So this post poses two basic questions: First: Is overclocking actually worthy of investment, or is it just something people like to sink money into just because it's fun to mess with components? If I'm going to drop an additional $50 for the parts necessary to overclock effectively, would it be just as effective to pay that much for an upgrade from a 1600 to a 1600X or something? Second: If overclocking is worth the investment, what B350 motherboard might provide the most stable platform for overclocking? Based on my handful of hours researching overclocking, I understand the need for power phases and whatnot, but build quality is something you seemingly can't tell without experience, and that's why I need help with this. And actually, a third question: Is it easier for a motherboard to handle overclocking a processor that has a lower base clock, or is overclocking by any amount of GHz equally difficult regardless of base clock? For example, is 3.2 to 3.6 easier or just as hard to overclock as 3.6 to 4.0? Regarding my expected cooling solution, I plan to run a Meshify C with 3 front 120mm fans and a 120mm rear with whatever necessary heatsink. However, these questions have more to do with value relative to the motherboard VRM. Thanks in advance to anyone that can support me with this!

I'll be buying a motherboard soon, probably today, and I can't choose between 2 motherboards. I'm going with a Black and White build. I'm trying to decide between the ASRock Pro4 and the B350 Tomahawk Arctic https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9GZ6G30294&cm_re=ASRock_b350_Pro4-_-13-157-761-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144028&ignorebbr=1 Which one is better. I'm thinking about the Tomahawk but I'm not sure, please help.

I built a new PC (yay) and I overclocked my Ryzen 1600 to 3.6GHz (will go further). While doing stability tests I noticed that the Clock is shown as 1550MHz for every core in AIDA64. Is this normal or no? Performance seems to be normal playing PUBG and Battlefield 1.

Parts list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/kJMPbj What I've done to try and fix it: I've tried rewiring everything, I've tried using another power supply, using different ram slots, and using different pcIE slots for the GPU. However, I still cannot get anything to post. The RGB on the motherboard as well as the little orange light at the bottom right lights up, but the GPU lights don't light up, the GPU fans don't spin, and neither does the CPU fan. One note of importance might be that the pins on my PSU's 2x4 pin CPU connector don't match the ones on my motherboard, but they plugged in fairly smoothly with a little bit of force anyways. The pins on my PSU look like this: while my motherboard's connector looks like this: http://cdn.overclock.net/0/09/096b4849_Asusmaximusviiformula.png. I searched that up online and it turns out that the PSU maker (EVGA) decided to key only one side to save money, but I figured i might as well include it just incase it has anything to do with my issue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

So I put together a new pc with parts that I know are compatible because I got it to the bios once and then never again . So I put my PC together and when I got to the bios I changed the boot order to my flash drive pressed exit and then tightened my CPU fan after that I couldn't get it to boot again I believe it is posting now because the led indicators by the ram flash orange then red for five seconds each and then flash white for half a second and repeats the process to fix this I have striped down to the motherboard 1 Stick of ram which I have switched out the CPU and the fan and just the power cables and HDMI out to the monitor with thesame result also I have switched my gpu between all pcie slots with no changes happening I did the battery thing and the jumper thing idk just think it's crazy that I had it working for one boot and now it's not working if you know of any way to help or what any of this means please let me know. (my parts are) I have amd ryzen 1300x Gigabyte 1050 ti (4gb) Patriot viper ddr4 ram (8gb)x2 We blue 1tb hard drive Evga 500 watt 80 plus white power supply And stealth fan azza1000 salono case

I'm looking for a good am4 mobo that will support a ryzen 5 1600 without a bios update. It needs to be full atx, have rgb support, and be under 120$.

I want to start building a new pc and since i am at really low budget, i decided not to go for ryzen yet. So i will start by buying a b350 mobo and combine it with an amd a8-9600 because it also includes integrated gpu. A. So, my biggest concern right now is if i have to buy 2400MHz ddr4 modules that are supported by this processor or i can buy 2666Mhz ddr4 so that i can keep them when i upgrade the cpu to ryzen next year. B. If i have to stick with 2400Mhz ddr4, will it be ok if i just buy one 4gb module and then after a while buy a second (identical brand-model) 4gb ram module, or is it probable that i will have ram compatibility issues? Same would apply for 8gb modules i assume. P.S. The pc upgrade path i chose is to buy enough ram at 2nd stage, a gpu (most probably gtx 1060 6gb) at 3rd stage, and a ryzen processor at 4th stage. It may take a while to need this extra memory bandwidth at use but it will save me some money if i know what ram i can buy now and keep in the future.

Building my first pc, I have already spent about £550 on a 1070 and ryzen 5 1600. I have about 300-400 quid remaining and I can't decide on my mobo. It's got to be a b350.

I have just built a new system using a b350 tomahawk from MSI as my base. I opted for a wireless card in my only PCI slot assuming the on board audio would be tolerable. Sadly i was wrong, but would like to not change out to upgrading an audio card. Is there any way i can boost the volume on my headphones to go higher. I have them maxed out as well as the volume all over my PC. They are nowhere near loud enough for a house with multiple gamers. I have heard there are some software that will override the max volume settings but i do not want to go downloading from google without knowing what I'm downloading.

What is the best b350 mobo for a ryzen 3 1200 under $100?
-
I need help trying to figure this out. I bought the ASRock AB350M motherboard for overclocking, which it does show the feature is there. However, the CPU slot is empty, and the DRAM slot is the only thing that shows is available for overclocking. I am trying to overclocking my AMD A6-9500E but it doesn't show up in OC Tweaker. Why?

What would be the pragmatic benefit of installing an aftermarket set of heatsinks on an ASRock PRO4 B350 board? I've seen a buildzoid video on this board, and he pretty much describes the VRM heat situation as inadequate. If put aftermarket sinks on the VRMS like these: https://goo.gl/4fCTFW, would that improve VRM heat dissipation?

Good day! I built my first pc for a couple of months now and I'm tinkering with the settings. I'm currently overclocking the RAM and don't know exactly what to do. I tried putting the XMP profile to 1 or 2 (2933mhz, 2800mhz respectively). The PC will not boot, it will restart a couple of times and it will boot to RAM 2133mhz speed. As of now all of my settings are the stock/auto settings. Parts: B350M Bazooka (Bios version 1.70) Ryzen 5 1600 (Stock speed) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) Currently running at 2133mhz MSI_SnapShot.bmp MSI_SnapShot_00.bmp MSI_SnapShot_01.bmp What should I do?

As you can see my budget is extremely low and im trying to finish this at around 350$ Is there anything im missing here? Is the motherboard maybe incompatible (Size, fitting etc) ??? Please reply ASAP before Cyber Monday ends

I'm trying to find a good motherboard for a new build. I am looking for an ATX b350 motherboard that will be compatible with the 1600 out of the box. I am also looking for a cheap motherboard, nothing more than 100. I am hoping to get it off of newegg but if one is cheaper on another site that is fine. Thank You.
