I purchased the atx version of this board after watching few videos. Come to realization that the wifi/Bluetooth module is not included on the atx version.

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X570M Pro4/ Currently in the process of building a server/NAS and after days upon upon days of searching for a decent motherboard I have came across the Asrock X570M Pro 4. Has all the specs I'm looking for, 8 SATA ports, 2 PCIe 4.0 X 16 slots, 2 hyper M.2 ports etc. I have read that it had a shaky release with some issues in relation to fan control. But it is quite old now and is still getting BIOS updates (as recent as January 2024) Was wondering has anyone used this board for a NAS/Server setup, all information is greatly appreciated!

I am crossposting this from Reddit to hopefully get some insight. I just upgraded my PC and I'm running into an odd issue. I bought a PC with an AsRock B450M-HDV R4.0 board with a Ryzen 3 2200G. I upgraded the CPU to a Ryzen 9 5900X and installed an ARC A750. I purchased a Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 to cool the CPU. I updated the BIOS to version 4.90 to make sure my CPU was compatible and I was able to enable Resizable Bar. I ran into issues last night where the PC would shut down almost immediately after getting into Windows. I had a Thermaltake 500W so I figured that was where the problem lied. I picked up an EVGA 750W PSU and the system is stable while web browsing and while discord is running. I attempted to boot up CS2 to see a comparison in frame rates and quality. As it was getting started the PC shut down again. Update: Black screened when downloading update for Phasmaphobia, then black screened when launching browser. It seems to not get as far as before. CPU and GPU temps are normal. CPU ~54 GPU ~64 Update: ran sfc scannow and it reported it had fixed errors. I checked the windows event log and there were a lot of errors, but nothing directly pointing to anything. Any suggestions?

Howdy! I built a Custom liquid-cooled Gaming PC and when I first powered it on, it wouldn't post. I checked the motherboard Debug Leds and it had a solid red CPU Light and a blinking red Dram (Which I have read is normal during memory training on am5). After trying all the troubleshooting steps (and referring to the steps on the README: How to respond to a no POST or no power up situation) I could think of I was led to believe that either the CPU or Motherboard was not functioning correctly. Using AMD's excellent RMA service I was able to relatively swiftly get my potentially faulty 7700x replaced with a brand new one, but I was still receiving the same no post and solid CPU light, after trying my troubleshooting steps once again I decided to try and get the motherboard Rma'd through Asrock (I probably should have tried to get it replaced or returned it and gotten a refund via Newegg, but I did not choose to do that at the time and I am now outside of my window to do so). I received my replacement Motherboard from Asrock about a week about and while it was not in retail packaging and it did have one of the SSD thermal pads pealed (which was the same one I peeled for my SSD on my original board), the Serial number is a different from my original board so I assumed they just sent me a working open box or repaired replacement board. Unfortunately, even with my replacement motherboard and cpu, I am still getting the same issue. I have listed the troubleshooting steps I have taken Below. I feel I have Isolated the things that could theoretically be wrong with it down to the Motherboard CPU and RAM or perhaps somehow the previous motherboard had something so wrong with it that it broke my original and replacement Cpu (which feels unlikely), Given that I have RMA'd both the Cpu and Motherboard it would lead me to wonder if something is wrong with the ram, however, I am still getting the Red CPU debug light when I try powering on without ram. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Problem: The Computer gets power but does not post, Debug Led's display solid red Light I have tried: Turning it off and on again Reseating Powercables Reseating the CPU Reseating Ram Both Ram sticks individually No Ram sticks (the blinking dram light does not turn on in this case) No graphics card (using igpu) Removing the SSD Testing the Graphics Card in another system showed it was still working although I'm not sure to what extent as I was not able to stress test it. Tried with nothing but the motherboard power cables plugged in (2x8 pin CPU, 24pin mobo) Tried Different monitor's and Different cables A different Power supply (Evga 700 Br) 6 Different wall outlets on 3 different Breakers and 2 different power cables (both of which were tested working) both with and without a UPS on all of them Clearing CMOS (both through the header and through taking out and putting back in the cr2032 battery) Updating Motherboard Bios to the most recent (2.10) Using Bios Flashback Feature (only attempted once on each motherboard, appeared to be successful both times) Tested the power supply on different PC (ryzen 7 3700x, rx 5700 xt) and ran a stress test with it and it still appears to be working fine. Recently I bought Crucial P3 1TB SSD and tried to install it into both m.2 slots, both don't seem to recognize it. BIOS, disk management nothing... I found some posts on forum where some people have said these 2 might be incompatible which I find really strange. Example: I tried BIOS update, disconnecting other storage and nothing seems to work. My current plan is to either buy this adapter: https://www.amazon.ca/UGREEN-Adapter-Support-Include-Screwdriver/dp/B07YFW5HBN/ref=sr_1_4?crid=13W55F5GRRXYT&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.YXQsJGJe3wvV3t786Ns0RlrUaI9lMD9mHQA0jvpNJNyH-X3b_qkbRQ_iWLDQfcs3eO0TvhTi9Wk17iCtooVvneJ5-eimNurmzBgH020ZvRTE_nND62L2XJOZCBDkTLG6WEHK606Lz0rgCU25BTkOxoilmzqHfIAmlxAhl8g3mMtMZpTFdeJkkvdUmr2Lam_mJB5w6H8U2wTeMkt88fycFMoht_wnBHAdXdJ0zV-dt1ycq8P-XDAlZ-iUB4vp9imiBr-CINZIjvKEavVHvs256U7EKRBY4lDWQMKF6rlmoCM.VWqgH3M-qCF_1e1_DUYQBc6h9GmaxFe1VVYFCIcr1u0&dib_tag=se&keywords=ugreen+pcie&qid=1710367040&s=electronics&sprefix=ugreen+pci%2Celectronics%2C190&sr=1-4 or just return this SSD and buy a SATA drive because all of the compatible ones from their website are old and very hard to find (I know it doesn't make sense that only the ones listed work but idk anymore). My other question would be if I would even be able to install OS and boot if it is connected via this adapter. Note: SSD works fine on another PC) Thanks in advance.

graphicscard ASRock Challenger RX 6600 8GB GPU two monitors?
leahxml posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hi!! I just recently finished my first build- I have the ASRock Challenger RX6600 GPU in my motherboard (with a AMD Ryzen 5 5600G cpu) and ive been having issues trying to connect a second monitor and was curious if anyone had any tips on troubleshooting. Integrated graphics has been turned off and my main monitor is plugged into my GPU in the HDMI port, the second monitor I want to use is a display port cable and every time I attempt to plug it into the GPU it either says no signal found or my main monitor will go black and the second monitor will boot up (but not post into BIOS) and then completely shut off back into the no signal screen (the second monitor is a dell monitor that doesn't even have an HDMI port and only has VGA and dp so im wondering if its too old for the graphics card). Ive tried different cords and It gives the same result. If anyone has any idea why this happening I would be most grateful!! Would love a second monitor in my setup so would love a solution : D -
I'm from India and there is an Asrock 5600XT 6gb graphics card for 13000inr (around 150us?). GPU prices here are typically higher than prices in the US. I have two questions. First of all, is vedantcomputers (the seller) reliable? Second of all, is Asrock bad?

Hey guys a short story of what is going on, I am a small time youtuber very small time and I built my first PC back in may of 2023. while checking the pc I used my capture card in all 3 ports to make sure they worked since I didn't have a graphics card yet and I noticed that the third slot controlled by the chipset wasn't working there is power to the capture card as I can see my Xbox on the tv but the pc cannot see the device in device manager or any software. Fast forward to November and I finally have a 6700 xt graphics card. I start to use it in the primary slot but the third slot where I need to use the capture card since it requires a x4 slot is showing the same issue. ASRock tech support recommended updating the Bios which I was unable to do so they replaced the entire motherboard. Now: I have the new motherboard but I am seeing all the exact same issues. Third PCIE slot doesn't work. Cant update board bios, cant run updates for my Chipset or my graphics card either. Any time I try to run an update it gets stuck in a load screen. Any help would be much appreciated, first new PC and first PC Build. Hi all! As you can see from my recent(-ish) posts I’ve been having lots of trouble with my current GPU, an ASUS RTX 3070 V2 OC, mostly because I’ve bought it second hand. It started black screening under load so I repasted it and changed all the thermal pads because HWINFO showed almost instant thermal throttling as soon as a load was applied. That fixed it but, soon after, the fan bearings both gave up the ghost and now the card is now SUPER loud whenever the fans kick in. At this point I’m just straight up tired of having to work on that thing, so I’m now looking for replacements! I’ve looked around a bit and I loved the look of the Steel Legend lineup of cards by ASRock, since it fits way better with my case and my motherboard (also a Steel Legend, the B550M), but since they’re AMD cards I’m not sure which model would work best in my setup and for my uses. I run an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (stock speeds), 32GB of RAM at 3600MHz and I have a Fractal Design Ion+ 660W (rated 80 Plus Platinum). As I said my current GPU is an RTX 3070. I play and stream titles like Overwatch and Rocket League. I also play more demanding games such as Baldur’s Gate 3 on frequent occasions. I also edit and render videos from time to time with DaVinci Resolve. For now my main display is a 27” 1080p 75Hz monitor, but I was looking into replacing it by a 1440p 144Hz monitor sometime in the near future. The options that are available to me are either a RX 7600 8GB, a RX 7600 XT 16GB or a 7700 XT 12GB. Since the fans on my current RTX 3070 need to be replaced, all my games’ settings are turned down already so that they don’t come on too often (and because I’m scared of damaging the card further), so even if the card technically performs somewhat worse than a regular 3070 I wouldn’t notice a difference, as long as it doesn’t bottleneck my CPU too much. So in this case, would one of the 7600s work, or would I need to spend more and instead go for a 7700 XT? Thanks in advance!

Hello kind strangers, Here’s my situation: Finally got everything in for a new system ( except the ssd ) and did a test run today. Not very successful, got a CPU and DRAM light, nothing coming on the screen. MB leds do turn on, gpu leds turn on, and cpu fans spin. I’m thinking it’s most likely the ram because I know my kit isn't on the qvl. It’s a g.skill flare kit and a Asrock b650m pro rs wifi ( I’ll link everything I got below). Now the weird thing is after I tried some basic troubleshooting reseated cpu and ram double checked power cables, I was actually able to get into the bios running 1 stick in the b2 slot and just integrated graphics, no GPU. The CPU and dram lights had turned on at first, then switched to a GPU and boot light, and then the bios showed up on the screen. Exited out powered off and tried again this time through the GPU, got lucky and got into the bios again, everything working properly gpu fans spinning, cpu running cool. I set the ram profile to the rated speed ( which was correctly recognized as well as being hynix) instead of the default 4800, and system shut down after saving the changes. Since then I tried 2 sticks, 1 stick, different placements, and I’m getting nothing back to being stuck on CPU and DRAM leds. So the good thing is I know the CPU and GPU arent totally DOA. But the fact that I did make it into the bios twice has me confused. Is it just false hope that the kit I want can work? Is there something else I can do? I will be trying again with different ram on the qvl soon, in the meantime though even if its a shot in the dark I want to see if someone recognizes the situation or knows what I can try. Thank you guys! parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N6rbTY

Hey guy, I've put a PCPP list for my next build, linked below. I have decided on all the parts, even bought some already, but I am still torn about the motherboard. After (too) much research I narrowed it down to two ASRock boards: B650M PG Riptide and B650M-HDV/M.2 The issue is I'm having trouble figuring out if the Riptide is worth the extra 50+ pounds. From what I can tell the main differences are the better VRMs, more USB and an additional PCIe/M.2 slot. I don't mind it if there are some meaningful upgrades, but I'm wondering if it's not just due to dodgy pricing in my region? The build with the Riptide - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/JrK84M B650M-HDV/M.2 - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/Dq4Zxr/asrock-b650m-hdvm2-micro-atx-am5-motherboard-b650m-hdvm2

I recently bought some new RAM and want to utilize it to the fullest by enabling XMP. Below are my PC components. CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x Motherboard: ASRock B450 Steel Legend Bios version 4.6 (Most up to date bios that isn't in Beta) GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4070 12GB RAM: 2x 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz 18cl installed on slot 2 and 4 as the manual for my motherboard advises When RAM speed in the Bios is set to auto, it is at 2133MHz. This is way too slow, and is causing my system to bottleneck on some games. I'd like to be able to use my RAM at it's rated speed of 3600MHz, however, whenever I try to increase the speed by enabling XMP, my games are unplayable. When XMP is enabled, my PC starts up normally, and is able to boot up windows and other applications like Discord just fine. However, as soon as I start up a game, it either crashes my PC or if the game does start, it stutters and freezes so badly that it is literally unplayable. When I go into Bios and revert back to auto and 2133MHz, I can start up any game and play just fine. I have tried an older Bios version to see if maybe this one is just unstable, version 3.7 did not work either. I have also tried different RAM speeds, 3000, 3066, 3200MHz all have the same effect of not being able to properly run games. Stock voltage is 1.35V. I also added and subtracted .05V to the voltage and nothing improves. I tried 1.30, 1.40, and 1.45V. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is something else that I can try. I have read forums on other sites with people that have this exact motherboard where people say all they had to do was update to the latest bios version and they were able to run their RAM at 3200 or 3600MHz without issue. I am not having the same luck. GPU is up to date on drivers as well.

I built a PC last year with an ASRock B450 Pro4 motherboard and 2x8GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX modules. It works fine but I wanted to upgrade to 64GB of RAM for development (VMs and compilation). I bought 2x32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz modules but when I install them, the PC keeps restarting itself. After some basic troubleshooting I can confirm it's not because of the old XMP profiles that are still loaded. I cleared the UEFI by shorting the CMOS jumper and even removed the CMOS battery to be extra sure. I can also confirm I didn't break anything as I installed the old modules again and the PC works fine. I'm not new to PC building and I'm a fairly advanced PC user so feel free to give technical instructions or ask technical questions for extra troubleshooting if needed. My 2 questions would be: - Could it be that the ASRock B450 Pro4 doesn't work with 32GB modules? The specifications say it should be able to handle 128GB of system memory, and with 4 slots, that should mean 32GB per slot. In the manual that comes with the motherboard, it does say that only 64GB of system memory is supported so I don't know what to believe. AMD's website doesn't have information about the maximum amount of memory for the B450 chipset (if the chipset even plays a role in this). - If it doesn't support 2x32GB modules, would it support 4x16GB 2667MHz modules? I could really use the 64GB of memory... This is my second post here so I hope I did everything correctly... Thanks in advance for the help forum people

I ordered a NEW Asrock 7900 XT Phantom Gaming from newegg, I noticed under load this gpu will vibrate, it vibrates so much that it can be felt from my desk So i sent it back to newegg for a replacement thinking its just a faulty fan bearing. One week later i get the replacement GPU and it does the same thing, I know for a fact its the fans because when i mess with the speeds it starts to vibrate and can be felt when touching the GPU, At this point i am Stumped. Could vibrations be from something else then a bad fan bearing? it seems like the worst of it is around 1700-2000 RPM

My pc work fine with the Pro version 22Q4 and some Adrenaline version with driver only, not the full install one. I reinstalled Windows 10 or 11, DDU, changed different ports (DP, HDMI) , disable windows auto driver update but none of them works. Does anyone have a same problem? How to fix it or should I take my GPU to service center. Thanks guys IMG_1960.MOV

Hi, I'm having some issues with my ASRock Rack B650D4U-2L2T/BCM motherboard (part of the 1U4LW-B650/2L2T barebone system). Both memory sticks are detected, but they're listed as single channel in the Setup utility. I've installed the modules in A1/B1 slots as per the motherboard manual. The modules I'm using (KVR48U40BD8-32) are on the (very short) memory QVL. Things I've tried so far: Installing the modules in A2/B2. As expected, the system didn't even boot (it's not a supported configuration). Using different DDR5 sticks (same result). Reseating the CPU and loosening the heatsink. Updating the BIOS to the latest version. Any ideas? Thanks! Radim

Motherboard: ASRock B550M Steel Legend BIOS: (unknown) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5700X RAM: 2x8GB Ballistix 3600MHz Storage: WD Blue 500GB(test only) PSU: Corsair CX500 PROBLEM: The PC won't turn on. How to troubleshoot? After connecting all the wires and turning on the power supply, a blue light flashes on the right of the M.2 heat shield. When I try to press the button connected to the panel, nothing happens. When I use a screwdriver, nothing happens either. How can I troubleshoot this? All the components seem to work on another PC. Could it be a BIOS issue? After reading the BIOS details on the manufacturer's site, I realized that the motherboard wasn't compatible with the 5000 series. But can BIOS compatibility cause a boot error like this? (PS: These were parts I had around, so compatibility doesn't matter to me unless it's the issue.)

Hi there, I recently set up a new ASRock Rack X470D4U and I'm experiencing some issues with BMC management interface. They are not dire issues but it would be nice to get them fixed. Here are some examples of the issues I'm facing: - Can't upload my own SSL certificates, I get an error. - Can't install OS remotely or use remote media (correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you just click start media in the top right of the KVM window). - The system inventory is empty. - For some reason, after port forwarding on my network, and in the BMC, I cannot access the BMC management panel from an external network. If anyone has any experience with any of these issues and has a solution please let me know. I'm running BMC version 3.02.00 and BIOS version 4.20. If you need any additional details let me know. Thanks!

Hi there, I recently got a ASRock Rack X470D4U and I've been trying to set it up but for some reason the system is not posting. I can access the IPMI dashboard just fine but it will not provide me with a bios version, and it shows the system inventory as empty. The web KVM access shows the display as having no signal when accessed. When I try to access the machine by plugging in a monitor through the VGA port, I don't see anything and my monitor gets no signal. Any tips on what I should do? Thanks in advance.

Hello friends. I have an X670E Steel Legend motherboard. Yesterday I updated my BIOS from 1.09 to 1.26 AS01 [Beta]. And my ram is Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6000MHz C36. I adjusted the ram speed from 4800mhz to 6000mhz in BIOS. But when I check my ram speed in task manager, its says 4800mhz? It wasn't like this before the BIOS update. Anyone know's what's going on?

Currently: Asrock x370 Taichi, newest BIOS Ryzen 5800X 2x8GB CL14 3200 RAM Since the newer Zen chips have a far better memory controller nowadays, what do you think the likelihood is that I can get 2x32GB CL16 3200 RAM working on this motherboard? QVL's worthless since they haven't updated the memory QVL for some time. I already bought some Mushkin Redline 3200, a 2x32GB kit with 16-18-18-38 timings, but I'm curious if anyone else already knows if this has a chance at working or not.

Hi, Just purchased an ASRock X680E PG Lightning, along with new CPU and RAM (details included below). After physical installation of everything into the case, gave it a quick test and it refuses to finish booting. It seems to POST ok. The 4 debug LEDs on the mobo cycle relatively quickly (which is to be expected, according to the manual) then all 4 go off (also expected, per the manual) and the monitor displays the ASRock logo, but it never actually boots or gives me the option to enter BIOS. I've tried pressing F2 and/or Del, but it just goes to a mostly blank page with a handful of characters in the top left. I've seen a few variations, but I think the last one was simply: ^[[[B I have tried downloading the latest BIOS from ASRock's website and using the flashback feature. Everything appeared to work as intended, the green light blinked for a few minutes and then went out entirely, which is expected behavior, according to their website. But no change in the boot process. I have also tried clearing CMOS, both with and without the battery installed. Still no change. I've also tried booting with only one stick of RAM, still no change. And last, but not least, I've tried booting without my GPU, using only the onboard graphics. You guessed it, still no change. I've reached out to ASRock tech support. No reply, although it hasn't been very long yet. Just thought I'd see if anyone here has any insight while I'm waiting. Thanks, folks! I just bought a new ASROCK X470D4U MOBO. After i installed all the necesary components to boot i turn on and always reboots when the OS is initializing. I dont have any problem by booting on the BIOS, also all my hardware shows up correctly. Im using: - X470D4U motherboard (i think its the issue) - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (I dont think its the issue, also tried other ram and its the same problem) - PSU 600W - GeForce GT 1030 Tried to boot by a usb drive. Didnt work Tried to swap the RAM in to a low profile one. Didnt work Updated the BIOS and the BMC to the latest (Alredy checked that BIOS version supports my Processor) Tried without GPU after hearing 5 beep on MOBO (the system couldn't recognize the graphics). Didnt boot to the OS. Tried restoring configuration of the MOBO to default by removing the battery 30 minutes. Didnt work After removing de gpu i keep getting the 5 beeps. This is the sequence of "errors" that my MOBO shows after i tried to install a new OS or tried to boot a OS. WhatsApp Video 2023-06-25 at 9.25.07 PM.mp4
