After deciding to turn my in house office into a playroom for the new daughter its forced me to be even more productive and turn one of our smaller garages from a junkheap into a little den of tranquility... We have a table which I made myself from offcuts from the local DIY Store and a desk frame I picked up at the local skip - £5 Blue Carpet from offcuts in our office - £0 Paint £5 Office chair from office which was being skipped for falling below "ergonomic parameters" - £0 23" 1080p 60Hz Monitor again... destined for the skip from work - £0 2 seat Leather Sofa - £0 we were going to throw it out so rescuing it for some casual gaming seemed the most sensible idea.. Getting it wired up with Ethernet - £10 so new office for 20 quid... Not too shabby! Still need to get the other Rig hooked up and the second monitor in as well as put up some shelving for the plethora of component boxes that's been accumulated... all in all though... Im pleased. Although I think I might have a fight on my hands for the Sofa...

I've been trying to setup a system with 2x 980tis with PCIe 1x-16x risers, USB connectors. I am able to boot normally and into windows but whenever a more than basic task is commenced the screen will black out or lock up the system. It's running a basic I3-3100 and 4 gigs of DDR4. 1375 Watt power supply, Thermaltake(Not janky) and a Gigabyte z170 motherboard. The system is just massively unstable. I even changed the motherboard from an ASUS z-170e which I thought had an issue with the CMOS battery and not retaining bios settings. Any help is appreciated

Hello all! I'm trying to get my 980ti on a stable overclock and would REALLY like to hit 1500Mhz. My ASIC quality is 79.8% according to GPUZ, and I'm using a hybrid cooler in push/pull so I figured this would be easy. However I am running into numerous issues and have a ton of questions. The overclock in question was on the following settings in afterburner: - +55 core voltage - 110 max power/91°C thermal limit - +120MHz core clock - +300MHz memory clock 1) When I run heaven 4.0 with the overclock on and run the benchmark, it will crash 10 minutes or so in, despite the gpu not boosting to it's max speed often. In response to this, j turned on the free camera and focused on a single demanding object (in my case, the pine tree) in order to force the card to boost to it's maximum speed as much as possible. While doing this, the card hit 99% usage and to constantly boosted to 1525MHz, and it remained stable for 30 minutes and never had any issues. Does anyone know why this is? 2) I ran wolfenstein the new order on ultra at 1440p with the same overclock as above on, and experienced no problems. In gpuz it showed the card constantly and consistently boosting to 1525MHz without exceeding 60C despite running for many hours at a time. However, as soon as I start Dishonored 2 the game immediately crashes in 5 minutes or so. What does this mean? 3) does anyone have any overclocking tips for me? I know about maxing out the power limit and thermal target, etc. But anything settings/sliders wise? I feel like there's just something I'm missing. Thanks all for reading!! And thanks in advance for any comments

Afternoon. Past few months I've had an issue with my GPU. Basically the fans will ramp up and down every 3-5 seconds when idle. I have a Galax 980Ti HOF that was purchased new in 2015. Not really easy to see but the fan RPM goes like this -> https://gyazo.com/c4c2e67998869dcd7a959eaa8a0146fc. Setting custom fan curves with several applications does not seem to make any difference. It ranges between 600-2000 rpm, and it's really annoying to listen to while trying to work. I have tried pulling the card out of the MOBO and setting it back in, checking the 8 pin connectors(card takes 2), but with no luck so far. What I do notice however is that in applications like MSI Afterburner it reports the fans being at 40% or whatever I set the curve to, but the RPM keeps fluctuating. Looking at the GPU while this is happening I have a theory that the Card is somehow not able to get the middle fan(it's a 3 fan card) running like it should. It appears as if the fan in the middle slows down a bit, which causes the left and right fan to ramp up to catch up, until the middle fan gets back to it's original state(It's easy to tell that the fan is spinning much slower before the others ramp up). The PC boots with only the left and right fans spinning on the GPU, once it enters Windows it starts it's tormenting. There does not seem to be anything physical hindering the middle fan from spinning as I am able to spin it just as fine as the others when taking the card out. This leaves me to think that there's a power delivery issue to the middle fan, and that this is most likely something I will not be able to resolve on my own. I've not been able to test it with a different system/PSU. Currently running this: 7700k ASRock B150 Pro4 8GB Corsair DDR4 EVGA 650 BQ Edit: Looking further into it the fans only seem to have major spikes below 50 degrees C. -> https://gyazo.com/9b20a5aac8116a970b8029d2067626cc where it stops fluctuating is roughly around where my card hit 50C at 50% load. Any inputs/possible solutions are highly appreciated.

Hey guys, thanks for having a look, so TLDR I run 2 monitors (1 at 144hz and 1440, and the other 60hz and 1080) additionally, I previously had my PC plugged into my TV (60hz 1080) which I often use for netflix/youtube. I got a new TV (4k) and now my windows theme is changed to basic as soon as I plug in the 4k TV and I can't seem to change it back. More detail: If I have just my good monitor plugged in and reboot, windows launches normally, no basic. If I then plug a second monitor in (doesn't seem to matter whether it's the TV or the monitor) it remains standard, but as soon as I plug in the remaining device, my PC has a hissy and changes to basic, additionally, it doesn't feel as smooth, dragging windows across my desktop leave a solitaire trail etc. My PC: Nvidia 980Ti, 16GB Ram, i7 6700k, 240SSD, W7 home premium N (legit) 1440p monitor plugged in via Display port 1080p monitor plugged in via DVI TV plugged in via HDMI What I've tried: -Restarting services of desktop and themes, letting windows try to repair aero affects, updating graphics drivers, have changed the performance options to be custom with everything ticked. -Hooking a 1070 up to my rig (instead of the 980Ti) -Tried different cables, different ports etc -Contacted Nvidia where I was told that the 980Ti can indeed run all 3 monitors I'm wondering if there's any way to confirm that it is my GPU, I'm willing to buy a 1080Ti if I know 100% that it will fix the issue. Thanks in advance guys!

Hi, so I have a bottleneck on my 4690K (4.3 oc). Modern games like BTF1 always go 100% usage. I have a pretty decent pc except my 8gb 1333 ram. Would upgrading my ram improve performance in a noticeable way? Right now im not complaining about performance but if i could get around 10 fps more I would consider the upgrade. Setup (4690k, 980ti, SSD, 8 ram 1333)

about two years ago I believe is when I bought my EVGA 980TI hybrid, it's been pretty ok being able to handle whatever I really throw at it which isn't much. Right now I'm fairly certain the hybrid AIO is about done. My temps are getting a bit hot and more than that the whole thing is incredibly noisy. I can't stream at all without it's fan ramping to 100% during gameplay. So with the EVGA hyrbid PCB is there a replacement cooler I could use anybody knows? It does NOT need to be another Hybrid cooler, in fact I'd rather it not be. Could I purchase a sort of reference 980ti cooler and slap it on instead? I'd much prefer it over the liquid cooling at this point. Thanks for any help!

How much should a 980 ti be priced for if it is a kingpin card with all the accessories

So it seems that the hybrid watercooling kit for the 980ti has been wiped off the face of the internet. I can't seem to find one ANYWHERE. All I see are coolers for the 1070 and 1080. I have the Reference EVGA GTX 980ti. Does anyone know if the hybrid kits for the 1070 and 1080 would work on my card or am I out of luck at this point? Gaming temps on the gpu range from 84c to around 93c. Any help would be nice at this point. The only model number I have stumbled across so far is Model #400-HY-0996-B1, but when searching for this on any vendor site, I find nothing but 1070 and 1080 coolers. I am trying my best to avoid upgrading as I've only had it for a year and it works just fine (When it's not hotter than hell itself). Hello! I am thinking of selling my 2 980Ti's, and I was offered a 1080 and some other goodies. How is 1 1080 compared to 980Ti SLI at 1440p 144hz? Thanks! P.S. I will overclock the 1080, I'm no weenie

GTX980TI And I5 4590 , need a solution
PinkGayBoys✌ posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
CPU: Intel I5 4590 Motherboard: B85M-D2V RAM: DDR3 1600 8Gx2 hard disk: 500G HDD 128G SSD GPU: GTX980TI 6G This is my computer hardware, the recent play video games such as GTA V TITAN FALL2 OVERWATCH regular Frame loss, I see other CPU with 980TI results better than me, so I guess it will not be CPU performance is not enough? If so, can you recommend a CPU? My English is not good, please forgive me -
So I've been thinking about trying out a higher-end Nvidia card (mostly an AMD user), and so I went to hunt around for some 980Ti's, but they seem a bit overpriced. Should I be paying $350-ish for a 980Ti? Seems like the 1070 isn't much more, performs similarly, but uses significantly less powerful. It also seems like miners are driving up the price, as apparently Nvidia cards are better for mining than they used to be... If I were able to get a 980Ti for ~$300, should I jump on it? Or should I just make the leap to a 1070?

basically bought PUBG yesterday and played a couple of rounds in it with my friend, but I was getting horrid fps, so I turned everything down to these settings- https://gyazo.com/08d17e2866d47797f66529dd436df29b but even after that, I was getting 30-50 fps, with major fps drops and jumps, am I missing something? Or is the game just poorly optimized? I hear of others getting >80 fps with lower specced hardware. Using a 980ti, 6600k, 8gb of ddr4, and an hdd as a game drive.

What are some games that this card could handle at 4K? I know it can handle the settings all the way up on GTAV at 2880x1800.

First post here, be gentle. I've had my 980ti hybrid for a few weeks now, and just recently upgraded to a new G21 from Thermaltake, great case. Issue is, when i installed my card and ran my synthetics i was getting peaks of 72C. While this isn't terrible for a standard cooler, this AIO never got above 50C at max load over long periods of time in my previous case. Now taking into account the fact that this case has tempered glass side panels, i took off the side panels to let more air in and repeated my synthetics, and saw it drop to roughly 66C at max load, so airflow definitely helped, but that's still roughly 16C higher than my previous case, that seems like a bit of an issue. The fan is putting out tons of hot air and is at 100% speed so it's doing it's job. I've read a few places about how air bubbles can affect performance when the card is moved around, but i don't have much experience with AIO coolers, any ideas as to why it's not keeping at that brisk 50C? PS: It is overclocked by 150 mhz core speed, but that hasn't changed from the previous install.

Currently running a MSI Golden Edition 6GB 980Ti, paired with a i7 2600. My issue is in most games the GPU really doesnt seem to be working that hard but neither does my cpu. In the forest I get around 40-50fps with everything on Max by myself 30-35 with others on my own server. GPU sits at about 45% AND MY CPU around 40-50???? So I don't understand what is wrong all my drivers are up to date. The Ark on Epic Settings with ground clusty on half v-sync off 40 fps same case with low CPU and GPU usage. If Screen shots or test programs are needed please link below and ill do asap. If its any help here my heaven benchmark score

hi, I live in the country side and our internet sucks... but, the fiber will be arriving in december and I want to get back into gaming. All I want to do is play games and not have to upgrade for as long as possible. I was wondering if I should wait for vega from nvidia or should I get a 1060 6gb... I don't know wich one would be better : i5-8600k or i3-8350k. here is my pc part picker list : https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/DLhBXH thanks.
