My problem and use case are likely too niche for an easy solution, though I'll certainly accept one if presented. I'm also curious about how to diagnose this issue and what solutions or issues I may have overlooked. BLUF: Using two TVs as monitors. Powerful, modern GPU. 1st monitor displays correctly: 4K@120Hz. Windows will not offer refresh rates above 30Hz for the 2nd monitor no matter what resolution combination I pick (Currently at 4K@30Hz). Want to achieve 4K@120(1st monitor) and 4K@60(2nd monitor) Previous setup had 2 1080p TVs @60Hz without issue. Cable for second monitor is Displayport to HDMI but advertised at correct (4K@60Hz) speed. Glitches occur reliably unless a certain TV option is selected on 2nd monitor. Saw success for 4 days straight before returning to glitches. Trying to diagnose issue or find workable solution. Issue: Windows displays the second monitor at 4K 30Hz and will not offer the option to display my second monitor at 4K, 60Hz, no matter what framerate the primary monitor is set to. I'm trying to determine what combination of cables and settings will allow me to run my main monitor at 4K 120Hz and my second monitor at 4k 60Hz, or as close to that as possible, and why I can only do so sometimes. Relevant Setup info: GPU: AMD Radeon 6800 XT (specifically the Sapphire Nitro+ SE model) Monitor 1: Hisense 55U7G connected via HDMI (GPU) to HDMI (TV) Monitor 2: Hisense 50H8G connected via DP (GPU) to HDMI (TV) Insignia™ 10' DisplayPort to HDMI Cable Black NS-PCDPHD10 - Best Buy OS: Windows 10 Build 21H2 As my list indicates, my "monitors" are in fact smart TVs. I use them with the Wifi turned off because no one makes dumb TVs any more, especially not 4K ones. My PC serves as the entertainment center for my house and sees use for gaming as well as streaming and everything else. I sit on the couch instead of a computer chair and use two TVs instead of a desk + monitors. The two TVs only feature HDMI ports (rated at HDMI 2.0 for the secondary monitor and a mix of 2.1 and 2.0 for the primary) while my GPU features 1 HDMI port, 2 DVI ports, and a USB-C output. Both TVs, Windows, and Radeon all have the latest updates available. The connection between the GPU and Primary monitor works flawlessly. No questions asked 4K @ 120Hz. It's the second monitor, connected via DP to HDMI cable, that gives me issue. I have used the TV previously for displaying 4K @ 60Hz, so I know it is capable of doing so. Both of the TVs offer the option to switch between Standard and Enhanced HDMI formats, and this is where I begin to have problems. Primary Monitor requires enhanced HDMI format to move past 4K @60Hz. As such, I leave it on enhanced format and 4K @ 120Hz resolution in Windows. If the Secondary monitor has Enhanced HDMI mode selected, the computer suffers sever graphical issues, best described as hiccups or driver resets. Every few seconds the primary monitor will show a black screen and then show the correct display a moment later. While this occurs, the secondary monitor shows only a black screen. This problem goes away when I move the secondary monitor to "Standard HDMI" format. From there, Windows only offers 30 Hz refresh rates, no matter what resolution I select (4K, 1440p, 1080p, etc). Once the original crashes have been addressed, I can toggle the HDMI format back and forth on the secondary monitor, but Windows will not offer a 60Hz refresh rate. There was a 4-day period where the setup worked perfectly: 4K@120 on one TV, 4K@60 on the other. I thought I'd solved it. As of 20NOV the problems returned and nothing I can do seems to alleviate it so I am asking for help here. What am I doing wrong, and is there any hope or obvious solution to get things how I want them to be, and how they should theoretically be? I'll update this post with more information as requested.

Hello guys! I hope you are all having a great day. I am in a search for a new TV that would be used for movies and for next gen gaming in the foreseeable future. I don't want to blow my wallet up with an OLED as you imagined from the budget. I think that the HDMI 2.1 is hard to find in this price range, in addition of a good panel with great colors. Have you got any options about me? I live in Greece. Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know if there is a wallpaper floating around the interwebs that is an actual wallpaper and not just a picture of the desk-mat. I found some 1080p ones but nothing higher than that so that makes it difficult to resize. Thanks in advanced and I truly appreciate your sleuthing! Happy Holidays

I already have a 1080p 240hz tn panel, so for competitive games I am still covered. I am going to get to some arm mounts to have this as my second screen. I want it primarily for single player sight seeing games. Also games like Genshin and Fallout 4 only support 60FPS anyways so my 2080 super should be enough. What I am looking for: Size no larger than 28 inches as my other monitor is 24.5 inch and not smaller than 24. High bit depth, or really I just want as little color banding in game as possible, seriously color banding drives me crazy so if anyone has suggestions about that let me know. I want the response times to be decent, doesn't have to be the fastest thing since I already have a monitor for that, but I just don't want extra smeary pixels. Good color, brightness, and at least 120Hz as going from 240hz to 60 just doesn't feel right.

Hi, We recently purchased a new Hisense 65U7G (4K HDR10+, Android tv ) to replace a 8 y.o. 1080p 60" tv. We do see some nice upgrade in the picture quality but would like to use the TV to its capacity. I'm running a Plex server over WiFi from my computer and it went fine for my old tv with a Roku stick. I tried to stream some 4k HDR10 content but the TV can't seem to cache content faster than we can watch. I understand that the bit rate is much higher in this case. What would you guys recommend? - External drive in the TV USB - Encoding the movie while keeping the best quality as possible - Nvidia shield - Anything else? I sadly cannot run a lan cable from the pc to the router. Thanks!

So I recently got an xbox series x and I also got a 4k Ultra HD TV from the brand 'Eko' but despite it being 4k with HDR support my xbox series X says that my tv cannot run at that resolution. I've seen people online say that use the correct HDMI port but it won't work in any of them and I am using the ultra high speed HDMI cable included with my xbox series x. If possible can someone let me know if theres a way to change the HDMI compatibility options in the settings on Android TV as it is an androi TV. Thank you in advance anyone who helps

Hey, I got a little but very annoying problem, when I enter fullscreen on my main monitor (4k monitor) (most of the time I go down to 1080p bcs my 1660 Super can't handle much more), my second monitor only shows me the wallpaper, do you know how to fix this? I just would like to use more then one monitor while gaming except when I'm playing Minecraft. Any suggestions (except for changing full screen resolution to 4K)?

I got a 4K TV recently and wanted to hook it up to my PC to watch movies and TV. I have changed the resolution settings and such to be 4k on my PC and it looks pretty good but I noticed that the TV just base netflix looks better than on my PC, why is that? How can I fix it, and what could be causing the issue? I checked and it does use different picture settings but both are the same. I have this HDMI cable from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZVCKBFL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

System is i5-10400 cpu 8 gigs ram, copied files from a windows machine onto a new drive and put it into this system. This system can play the 480p and 1080p videos flawlessly. But 4k stutters badly. Im also installing updates so that might fix it. I also am having issues with plug ins? Im new to this os, I know how windows works but not Linux. On very first video playback on the system it prompted a plug in download, I chose the default options until it started installing them. And, when I started the first 4k video it bugged me about subtle plug in i think. It doesn't show it again so I can't double check.

Hi there, My notebook is thinkpad x1 extreme gen3(10750h+gtx1650ti,single 16GB dram, 4k hdr builtin screen) . There are 2 type-c ports and 1hdmi port, and a 4k monitor is connected with a typec to dp cable(or hdmi2.0 cable). If both built-in screen and external screen are set to 4k60hz, the 3D usage rate of the igpu(intel uhd 630) is close to 100%, and then there will be frame drops and lag. If both are set to 1080p 60hz, it's ok, after checked the task manager, I found that both igpu and dgpu are working. Obviously, the outpur is rendered by 1650ti, and finally output by igpu to the external screen. Now I wonder if there is a way to connect the dgpu 1650ti directly to an external screen without going through the igpu. After checking the bios, there is no option to switch gpu for the typec port or hdmi port, please help! Thanks.

So I have got myself a NCASE M1 (still to be delivered but shipping this week). I have checked PCI LANES, clearance and many other things however I would like other peoples feed back on how they may setup. Listed is the current Parts below. I would like to be able to under-volt things to try help keep things cool. I have added a couple of Noctua fans to help lower the DB from the standard AIO water cooling fans. I also wanted one of these AORUS FO48U 48" monitors before Linus got himself a free one! Also considering de-shrouding the GPU and putting Noctua fans on it. so if you know of a GPU (NVIDIA?) that fits the M1 de-shrouded please let me know! I can through various websites save around $300 of the below price however currently seeing if mwave.com.au will just match price.

So unfortunately my monitor recently broke. I was using a 27" BenQ 1080p 144Hz that I'd our chased about 7 years ago now. I actually don't play competitive anymore so 144Hz isn't exactly really a requirement. I would like to upgrade to something 4k HDR if possible but want to keep it relatively cheap and I'll be using the monitor for work as well as an extra screen with my laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My Requirements are : Length must be 30 feet 4k 120hz HDR I have a confusion about the latency of the cable because of the length. This amount of cable length will cause any issue? Please suggest to me the brands or specific models of the cable that will serve my purpose. Thanks

HI, want to ask question about two 4K TVs which we have in office, our boss want them to be connected together, making it run like 1x2 video wall. I found so many video wall controllers and switches but none of them worked like we wanted. I totally understand that 7680x2160 resolution may not even be supported by devices we want to connect to them (Apple TV 4K, Chromebox, Windows PC), I just wonder if somebody have ever tried to do something like that, or if I think about this problem incorrectly. Only solution I can think of is let those TVs downscale into FHD resolution and buy some 4K video controller. Any advice appreciated.

Hi, I am looking for a major home workstation PC upgrade, I am videographer, and until now I have been using a pc I have access remotely to, to edit videos using parsec. And as it's not a sustainable option I want to upgrade my own PC for 4K editing. The PC I have been using until now is running a 5600X, 16GB of RAM and GTX1650. And for my upgrade at home I want a bit more capable pc. So I have researched and come up with this configuration - CPU - Ryzen 7 5800X GPU - GTX 1660TI (I already have) RAM - G.SKILL Trident Z Neo, DDR4, 32GB, 3600MHz, CL16 kit of two Motherboard - Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER CPU Cooler - Be Quiet Silent Loop 2 240mm C drive - Samsung 980 PRO, 500GB, PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe Footage drive - Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 1TB, NVMe M.2 PSU - Silverstone DA750, 750W, 80+ Gold Case - Be Quiet Pure Base 500 And also I'm going to put in a Blackmagic DeckLink Duo 2 capture card and use it for livestreams. What do you guys think is this a good investment, its going to cost me about 2000 EUR in my country, I want to use it for at least 5-8 years. For now the max I am editing is multiclaim 1080, and the PC I have access to now is handling it well enough... In near future I will be upgrading to 4K cameras and from what I have researched the PC I outlined earlier is going to cut it. I also do some extensive Lightroom editing, but for it I think its well enough. I don't want to buy a new GPU for now, but in a year or so I could buy a better one... What's you'll opinions?
