Hi ! So I recently moved to an appartment and I would like to buy a TV. The problem is that I know a lot about gaming monitors, but when it comes to TV, since I dont game on it, I dont know much. I have a budget of 400-700$ US (With taxes of course), but I can put a small extra if its VERY worth it. The TV will primarly be used for watching show/anime/movie and will (very very rarely) be used for gaming on a switch. 4k is necessary for me and i would like it to have nice colors. It will be used in both dark and bright room, but it will never be directlt hit by sunlight and will be used more in dark room. I am thinking about getting a 50" or 55". The smart TV is an extra but not necessary at all. It will not be mounted. I normally look at Sony, LG and Samsung for TVs, but I read a lot about Hisense recently. I see a lot of recommandations for the Hisense U6G, U7G and U8G. I also saw the LG 55NANO75 ! I am open to any recommandation, but I wont lie, I very rarely try less known brand like Hisense/TCL. Let me know if you need more informations ! Thanks a lot :)

I recently bought the aforementioned monitor, but I cannot get it to run faster than 60Hz. I have an RX 580, which has DP 1.4, and I use the cable they gave with the monitor, so I expect to have 4k 120Hz. Also tried to set the color to 8bit and also to 4:2:2, none of these help. To be clear, I would like to avoid the latter option, it just seems strange to me that it did not impact the max available refresh rate.

I am looking to buy one of these two tv's since they are both on sale in my country at the moment, at the same price range. It looks like the LG is normally a lot more expensive than the samsung in my country. Both are 65 inch tv's Also when I try to google for the NANO92 I come up empty. Just a lot about nano90/nano91. So it might be that they are called something else in other countries, I thought it might be the equivelent of nano90, but when i searched it lookked like it used the 3gen a7 proccessor, where the Nano92 uses a gen4. So i am a bit confused. Hope someone can clarify. For reference, at this moment I am using a LG UN7100plb, which has been fine for my, although sometimes I feel like it can get too dark in my games. I am playing on my ps5

Hello, would anyone recommend any good software for upscaling video files to HD (1080p) or 4k (2160p), preferably free or for a decent price? Thank you.

Hello, I just got my DP - HDMI 2.1 adapter but I can't get 4k 120Hz in the Nvidia control panel. The "PC" resolutions only get to 2560x1440 120Hz. It's strange because when I initially connected everything it was working, but the borders were cropped. I solved the borders problem, disconnected-reconnected a few times and now I can't find the 4k 120Hz resolution. Already restarted the PC, updated drivers, checked windows refresh rate, reconnected cable + adapter in various ways and . Adapter and cable shouldn't be a problem since I already managed to get 4k 120Hz, they are both hdmi 2.1 rated.

I've had a cheap TLC 4k tv for quite a while. I just recently got a 4k UHD blue ray player and a highspeed hdmi cord. I don't know if it's just the panel or the refresh rate on the TV but I feel it should probably look better than it does. I'd like to get a better TV but one that won't destroy my bank account like 4-5 hundred price range? Any Suggestions would be appreciated please and thank you!

I'm trying to Mirror/Extend my MacBook Pro's display to my 4K TV using AirPlay 2, the TV is a Samsung AU7100 65" 4K TV, and it has AirPlay 2 built in. Connecting is no issue, I just simply use Mac OS's inbuilt 'Screen Mirroring' tool to mirror/extend it, and it works fine at 60hz, the issue is the resolution, its limited to 1920x1080p (very annoying!), as its a brand new 2021 4K TV, I would expect AirPlay 2 to have a 4K option? As I've seen a lot of other TV's do, along with Apple TV 4K etc. I have tried mirroring my display, extending it, playing with resolutions on the MacBook screen, and the TV screen. On and off again, rebooting my Internet, changing the refresh rate, the colour space, changing the audio source, pressing ALT/OPTION then clicking on 'Resolution' to view extended list etc. Nothing seems to give me an option to do this in 4K... Oh, and using a HDMI to mirror/extend it works fine, full 4K at 60hz without an issue. See image below for list of resolutions on the TV when screen mirroring.

So apparently the panel lottery in BC hates me. I just bought a brand new tv, and immediately upon firing up a game after running initial settings and whatnot, I started noticing horrible vertical and horizontal lines. I tried every remedy, like switching HDMI ports, factory reset, checking cables, tweaking brightness, contrast and backlight and nothing has improved it. Im going to exchange it this weekend, but i’m just curious how often this has been a problem for people? It’s not an OLED either, so no pixel refresh unfortunately. This is after replacing a subpar tv that needed a panel replacement a month after warranty expired, so this is quite a bummer.

Hello everyone, I previously had another topic opened specifically about the G70A coloring issues, as I thought the issue was directly related to the monitor. However, I requested an exchange for the monitor because I had tried everything I could think of but the issue persisted. The specific issues was with Windows system text having coloring and aberration issues when using the display in any setting above 120 hertz in 4K on my horizontal monitor. The weird issue was that the vertical monitor had no troubles when running at 4K 120 hertz. Not thinking orientation would cause this, I thought it would be an issue with the monitor. I then decided to flip the monitors (vertical to horizontal and horizontal to vertical). When I noticed that the issue was only on the horizontal monitor like before, I was curious and switched the monitor orientation to be vertical for both in Windows; to my surprise, neither monitor had any text or coloring issues. This seems like a strange issue to have. I'm running the latest Windows 10 OS version, NVIDIA drivers, and every other driver. My computer is running a Ryzen 7 with a GTX 1080 graphics card. I was planning to build a new computer soon, but due to to the largely inflated prices right now, I was hoping to hold off for a little longer. But, this issue is quite noticeable and is very bothersome when I work with text, as you can imagine, especially when I program. I would appreciate any guidance on what to try to resolve this issue or if a new GPU would most likely fix this issue (for instance, I was planning to purchase a RTX 3080 Ti, but stock is limited). I apologize in advance for the poor quality reference images - but I hope the text yellowing and aberration is somewhat visible on the horizontal example image. As another note, I tried to tune ClearType but had no success.

Context There is a customer of mine who has 17 shops and wants to link them to one center to remotly view them all of his cameras and nvrs are hikvision so there is no problem in linking them by using ivms 4200 But the problem is he didn't buy a pc yet and if he does he will probably buy an intel pre built and he wants to connect 6 4k tv screens So here the question Can I plug 6 4k even at 30hz with intel hd graphics using hdmi splitter Or do I need a discrete gpu that supports this I searched the internet and found this gpu the visiontek radeon hd 7750 https://www.amazon.sa/VisionTek-Graphics-DisplayPorts-Eyefinity-900614/dp/B00C7EPSVS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=VisionTek+7750+Eyefinity+6+2GB+DDR5+(900614)&qid=1648365639&sr=8-1 But I don't think it is worth it, it is no longer supported and its last driver was in 2015 So if I do need a gpu can you recommend a one, again it isn't for gaming or 3d acceleration or modeling just using ivms 4200 to view the cameras and what cpu do I need to pair it with? Even if it run the 4k screens at 30hz

Hi so I am in the market for a 4k TV. I have never really been someone who thought too much of the color and all that jazz but I definitely want the most bang for my buck. This TV will be used more so jyst for watching youtube/movies. Intense gaming won't really happen on it besides the occasional party game. If you have links to the TV I'd appreciate it! Price can be like loose if there are deals or like an installment thing

Need advice on whether to buy a monitor or a small TV for PS5/XBSX/PC
Guest posted a topic in Displays
Hey! A little bit about my current setup. I prefer to game at my desk, which currently has 3 monitors. My primary monitor is the ASUS ROG Swift 27" 1440p (PG279QZ). There is a 1080p monitor on the left and on the right of the primary monitor. I also have a TV in the same room. It's a 4k Toshiba HDR10 60hz tv that I bought for a few hundred bucks a couple of years ago (not great, but passable). I have a gaming PC with a 2080 Super/Ryzen 5 3600 (I want to stay in 1440p for PC). I also have a PS5/XBSX/Switch. The PS5 is hooked up to my main 1440p nice monitor. The XBSX is hooked up to my crappy 4k tv for movies and stuff. The Switch is hooked up to my left-side 1080p monitor because Switch sucks and doesn't look good on a 1440p monitor. With all of that said, my problem is the PS5. It forces me into using 1080p on my nice 1440p gaming monitor. I want to get a new 4k monitor exclusively for the PS5 and as a non-primary monitor for my PC. I am considering the Gigabyte M32U, but it doesn't have HDR. I want to be able to use ALL the features on the PS5, if possible. I'm struggling to find a solution here. TV marketing and spec sheets are very difficult to read/look at but I wouldn't be opposed to maybe getting a 32-40" small TV that has all the bells and whistles and just hook that up to the right of my main 1440p desk monitor, but I don't know what's actually good. Should I just forget about HDR and get the M32U, is there a better monitor that I'm not seeing, or should I go with a smaller TV with all the features (and if so, which one)? -
Hi all My family is wiring our new house for TVs and in some spots we need a 15ft HDMI cable (the shortest length it can possibly be). I wanted to put in HDMI 2.1 cables because they are the latest and I know I am only getting one chance at wiring this house so I want to use the newest standard. Does anyone have any recommendations for a REAL HDMI 2.1 cable as a lot of the ones on Amazon are snake oil and don't actually meet the HDMI 2.1 standard. I know Linus did the HDMI cable test video but he didn't give model numbers for the cables and also I think I need "In wall" rated cables to pass inspection. Thanks all

Hey, I got a little but very annoying problem, when I enter fullscreen on my main monitor (4k monitor) (most of the time I go down to 1080p bcs my 1660 Super can't handle much more), my second monitor only shows me the wallpaper, do you know how to fix this? I just would like to use more then one monitor while gaming except when I'm playing Minecraft. Any suggestions (except for changing full screen resolution to 4K)?

I got a 4K TV recently and wanted to hook it up to my PC to watch movies and TV. I have changed the resolution settings and such to be 4k on my PC and it looks pretty good but I noticed that the TV just base netflix looks better than on my PC, why is that? How can I fix it, and what could be causing the issue? I checked and it does use different picture settings but both are the same. I have this HDMI cable from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZVCKBFL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

Budget somewhere around £400 for everything else excluding PSU and GPU Country: Great Britain Pc is going to be fair 4k gaming with ray tracing maxed and dlss on quality when supported for most games. For competitive games I'm fine with no ray tracing tracing and dropping settings a bit to hit 144 FPS or above comfortably. All my other queries are on the pc part picker list found here: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/9Tgdnt thanks in advance for any help or suggestions provided.

I already have a 1080p 240hz tn panel, so for competitive games I am still covered. I am going to get to some arm mounts to have this as my second screen. I want it primarily for single player sight seeing games. Also games like Genshin and Fallout 4 only support 60FPS anyways so my 2080 super should be enough. What I am looking for: Size no larger than 28 inches as my other monitor is 24.5 inch and not smaller than 24. High bit depth, or really I just want as little color banding in game as possible, seriously color banding drives me crazy so if anyone has suggestions about that let me know. I want the response times to be decent, doesn't have to be the fastest thing since I already have a monitor for that, but I just don't want extra smeary pixels. Good color, brightness, and at least 120Hz as going from 240hz to 60 just doesn't feel right.

I play a lot of Titan Quest and recently(ish) upgraded to a Ryzen 3700x and a Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 GAMING with 8GB of VRAM. The system also has 32 GB of 3200 GHz RAM (2 2-8GB kits). I'm looking to run Titan Quest Anniversary Edition with all the DLC at 4k and I still bounce between 60ish FPS and 130ish FPS. Any suggestions? If it's relevant, my monitor is an Asus VG289 and I'm running off a WD Blue NVME 1TB SSD. TIA for your feedback Mindstab Thrull Nomming ur sanities since 1864 BSE (Before the Sarpadian Empires)

Hi, We recently purchased a new Hisense 65U7G (4K HDR10+, Android tv ) to replace a 8 y.o. 1080p 60" tv. We do see some nice upgrade in the picture quality but would like to use the TV to its capacity. I'm running a Plex server over WiFi from my computer and it went fine for my old tv with a Roku stick. I tried to stream some 4k HDR10 content but the TV can't seem to cache content faster than we can watch. I understand that the bit rate is much higher in this case. What would you guys recommend? - External drive in the TV USB - Encoding the movie while keeping the best quality as possible - Nvidia shield - Anything else? I sadly cannot run a lan cable from the pc to the router. Thanks!

So I recently got an xbox series x and I also got a 4k Ultra HD TV from the brand 'Eko' but despite it being 4k with HDR support my xbox series X says that my tv cannot run at that resolution. I've seen people online say that use the correct HDMI port but it won't work in any of them and I am using the ultra high speed HDMI cable included with my xbox series x. If possible can someone let me know if theres a way to change the HDMI compatibility options in the settings on Android TV as it is an androi TV. Thank you in advance anyone who helps

Hi, I am looking for a major home workstation PC upgrade, I am videographer, and until now I have been using a pc I have access remotely to, to edit videos using parsec. And as it's not a sustainable option I want to upgrade my own PC for 4K editing. The PC I have been using until now is running a 5600X, 16GB of RAM and GTX1650. And for my upgrade at home I want a bit more capable pc. So I have researched and come up with this configuration - CPU - Ryzen 7 5800X GPU - GTX 1660TI (I already have) RAM - G.SKILL Trident Z Neo, DDR4, 32GB, 3600MHz, CL16 kit of two Motherboard - Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER CPU Cooler - Be Quiet Silent Loop 2 240mm C drive - Samsung 980 PRO, 500GB, PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe Footage drive - Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 1TB, NVMe M.2 PSU - Silverstone DA750, 750W, 80+ Gold Case - Be Quiet Pure Base 500 And also I'm going to put in a Blackmagic DeckLink Duo 2 capture card and use it for livestreams. What do you guys think is this a good investment, its going to cost me about 2000 EUR in my country, I want to use it for at least 5-8 years. For now the max I am editing is multiclaim 1080, and the PC I have access to now is handling it well enough... In near future I will be upgrading to 4K cameras and from what I have researched the PC I outlined earlier is going to cut it. I also do some extensive Lightroom editing, but for it I think its well enough. I don't want to buy a new GPU for now, but in a year or so I could buy a better one... What's you'll opinions?

So unfortunately my monitor recently broke. I was using a 27" BenQ 1080p 144Hz that I'd our chased about 7 years ago now. I actually don't play competitive anymore so 144Hz isn't exactly really a requirement. I would like to upgrade to something 4k HDR if possible but want to keep it relatively cheap and I'll be using the monitor for work as well as an extra screen with my laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated.
