Budget (including currency): 1000-1500 € Country: France Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: (in order of priority) Music Production and Music Mixing: Ableton Live 11, maybe upgrade to 12 ( for work ) Video Editing, Small animation creation: Blender and DaVinci Resolve ( for work ) Light 3D modeling: Auto Cad and TermoLog ( a software for buildings 3D modeling ) (for work) Gaming: EUIV, WoW, have a peek at more modern titles that I could not play before. (for fun! ) Philosophy of the build: I need a capable machine today, I can add/upgrade non-essential features in the future ( i.e. more storage). (This is why I think going with a DDR5 capable system would allow me to upgrade it in the future. Same goes with the 12th gen CPU, I chose a budget friendly platform that will allow me to upgrade up to 14th gen in the future... Is there something I am missing in my reasoning ? ) Additional Constraint: I have to relocate once per year in a different country in Europe for 2 months, so I need something "portable", some SFF build. Laptops seem to not give a good €/performance compared to desktops, plus they are not really upgradeable in the future. The build: PCPartPicker Part List: https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/4ngLn6 CPU: Intel Core i5-12400 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor (€182.14 @ Amazon France) Motherboard: ASRock B760M-H/M.2 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard (€105.88 @ Alternate) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (€138.88 @ Alternate) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€102.27 @ Amazon France) Video Card: Asus DUAL OC GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB Video Card (€322.00 @ PowerLab) Case: Fractal Design Define 7 Mini MicroATX Mini Tower Case (€123.78 @ Amazon France) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€129.99 @ Amazon France) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home OEM - DVD 64-bit (€141.88 @ Alternate) Total: €1246.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2024-02-29 10:33 CET+0100 Monitors: 2 Monitors Setup Peripherals: I already have all the basic peripherals, including an external audio interface The more USB ports the better, currently I'm forced to use USB hubs that cause some issues with MIDI keyboards. Here's what I currently hook up to my laptop: External Audio Interface Mouse dongle Keyboard dongle MIDI keyboard 2 external hard drives. ( in the future I will only use them for backup and transfer sound libraries on internal SSD, for now I'm forced to use them for "low-priority" sound banks) Why the Upgrade? I'm currently using a struggling Laptop which technically performs all the tasks that the new build should perform way better. (Current Laptop partial spec: CPU: intel i7-8550U GPU: AMD Radeon R7 M340 RAM: 8GB, 500ish GB SSD of some kind). The laptop is starting to crash once per week, I want to change it before it dies on me. So.. is this build even realistic ? Cheers

Budget (including currency): 2.200$ to 3.000$ budget. willing to go higher if needed, this is 300t to 400t in isk currency Country: Iceland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I work a lot in 3D. I do simulations in Houdini, and I also do games/Renders in Unreal5. other software I use are, Maya, Arnold, Substance, DaVinci, Zbrush, PS. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I don't have any existing parts, I have peripherals (mouse, keyboard, mic). I have 1 monitor and 1 drawing tablet, both 1080P. I plan on getting 1 more monitor in the future, but not at the moment. I don't need an OS. Why upgrade? I have a Laptop from 2019. it can't handle heavy siming, it crashes a lot when working in UE5, and it bluescreens a lot in UE5. I think I need a more powerful computer now. and I am willing to upgrade. I am In school and I wanted to be able to work from home since I live an hour away from it, and gas is expensive. we do have computers at school that we can use there, so I don't need another laptop. This is the build made. there is some compatibility issue, but I do not know how to solve it https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ytz334

Budget: $1000-$1500 USD, but willing to go higher if I must. Location: Utah, USA Software: AutoCAD --- I mainly work in 2D for editing large floor plans, rack elevations, and wiring diagrams, but my web-based theater design software (The Cinema Designer) occasionally requires me to open up and work with 3D files using AutoCAD. Microsoft Visio (desktop) D-Tools System Integrator (desktop) Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Adobe Premiere Pro (on rare occasions) Adobe Audition (on rare occasions) Modus VR * * I don't plan on running Modus VR for at least a year or two. It's residential and commercial 3D rendering focused on AV systems. All they recommend on their website is to get a good "gaming" computer and a VR headset. Probably high CPU clock, single-threaded, with a decent GPU, but for now I'm fine keeping the GPU as minimal as required for AutoCAD. Pre-Built or Custom: I don't necessarily care whether it's a pre-built or a custom build I assemble myself, but I'd like to get this thing up and running within 15-24 days at most. I've never built a PC before, but if the overall price and shipping time is drastically better, and if warranties on the most important parts are excellent, I'll totally do it. Other Hardware: I have two LG UltraFine 4K displays and a Thunderbolt 4 NAS hooked up via my Anker Thunderbolt 4 dock. I tried the online configurator from XoticPC, but the only Thunderbolt 4 option required the Asus ProArt Creator motherboard which seemed really expensive. I've read online that a Thunderbolt 4 card is much cheaper, but I've also read that those cards don't always work reliably, and the set up documentation leaves a lot to be desired. I figured I'd see what people here recommended. Maybe I'll have to skip Thunderbolt 4 altogether and downgrade to USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 which means replacing my dock, lol. I don't care if it's AMD or Intel.

pc Help me build a pc for heavy 3D work!
SampledFutureFunk_ posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): $4000( ca 43 000 kr) but would rather go lower without affecting performance Country: Sweden Uses: I mainly need the pc for heavy 3D rendering and fast load times (Blender(sculpting, hardsurface modelling, artistic renders), UE5, Substance painter ect). Gaming too, but not a lot. Note: im going to upgrade to a new pc, so im going to selling this current pc. current pc: - RTX 3700 OC 8gb - ryzen 3700x - corsair vengenace 64 Gb(16x4) CL16 3200mhz. - corsair 750w 80+ gold - asus rog b550-f. - watercooling. - corsair 4000x. Other details: I have made an initiall parts list on pcpartpicker found below. I need help ensuring that I haven't missed anything incompatible with each other. Also, see if there is any unnecessary overspending. Its currently over budget. I have 3 monitors where two of them are 1440p and 1 is 1080p. I do the work on one of the 1440p monitors 170Hz. Im planning on buying this pc in the coming weeks. initial list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xMzH7R Thanks in advance! -
I've been animating in Source recently and I have a weird problem. Every time I try and record in the tf2 engine built-in, it crashes and deletes all progress. what is happening? I have a pc with MORE than plenty of power that well exceeds Steam's recommended specs.

Hello! I have a PC I built in 2017 that I plan to pass over to my partner, so she can use it to do photo/video editing, 3D modeling, and game with me. I will then need to build a new PC rig that is a bit more powerful than that one so I can do some software development with neural networks, 3D modeling, and host app and game servers. A friend is offering to sell me a rig they have which comes with a massive case that might fit both rigs together, but I need help figuring out what is the best thing to do. Budget & Location: $3,000 ~ $5,000 CAD for the new PC and $500 ~ $1,000 CAD for upgrading the existing one. (CAD , Canada) Aim: I will use the new PC to: Develop Neural Networks / AI (nothing too extreme, I know I need a NASA-grade PC to create high-end AIs, I will build basic AIs or whatever my build allows), Do 3D Modeling (assets for games mostly), Host servers for Apps and Games, and Occasional gaming with games such as Ark Survival Evolved, No Man's Sky, Space Engineers, Minecraft, and other Sandbox Survival and MMO games ...possibly VR, but that's just bonus stuff right now The existing PC will be used by my partner for: Photo/Video Editing, 3D modeling and texturing, and Gaming (same kind of games as listed above, we will play together). ...possibly VR, but that's just bonus stuff right now Monitors: For the new PC: Two monitors, both wide (at least one ultrawide), and at least one of them should be able to be setup vertically. For the existing PC: Similar to the above, except at least one monitor needs to be good for Photo/Video editing with good color calibration (probably Peripherals: Mechanical keyboard, Gaming Mouse, Headset, and Webcam, all connected via USB. Nothing out of the ordinary. OS: My current right which I will give to my partner is on Windows 10 Pro. I might keep it like that, or install a Linux distro as the system OS and have Windows 10 Pro in a VM in there. For the new rig, I will likely do the same thing. Other details: My current rig which I plan to pass over to my partner has the following specs: Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero Z270 LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 ATX --> $284.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz LGA1151 91W BX80677I77700K Desktop Processor --> $413.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) GPU: ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1070 STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card with RGB Lighting --> $609.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 220-G2-0750-XR 80+ GOLD 750W Fully Modular EVGA ECO Mode Includes Power On Self Tester Power Supply --> $134.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8 GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170 Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15D-16GVR --> $164.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) Case/Tower: NZXT S340 Glossy Black Steel ATX Mid Tower --> $94.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan --> $35.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) System Disk: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E250B/AM --> $139.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) Storage Disk: Seagate ST2000VX008-2E3164 with 2TB (it's actually 1.81TB) --> $79.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) Monitor: LG 29UB55-B 29" IPS LED HD 21:9 UltraWide LCD Monitor --> $259.95 CAD (2017 via eBay) Total Budget Spent (2017) on this rig was: $2,219.86 CAD I have not had any issues with this rig, it is the best PC I have had by far. That said, I underestimated how much space my system disk would need, so I need to upgrade the SSD to one with more space, probably 1TB. Aside from that, the only issue I've had is with the case's power switch not working properly which seems to be a common issue with this case model. The new rig I want to build should have similar specs, but more powerful. A friend of mine is offering to sell me one of his rigs which has these specs: Motherboard: GIGABYTE X399 AORUS XTREME sTR4 AMD X399 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX AMD Motherboard (Socket TR4, AMD Ryzen Threadripper) CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2nd Gen - Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX Colfax (Zen+) 24-Core, 48-Thread, 2970WX 4.2 GHz Max Boost (3.0 GHz Base), Socket sTR4 250W YD297XAZAFWOF Desktop Processor GPU: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 Blower 8GB GDDR6 256-bit Metal Backplate Dual Slots Graphics Card ZT-T20800A-10P, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, GPU Clock Speed 1710 MHz PSU: Corsair HXi High Performance ATX12V 1200 Power Supply Series CP-9020070-NA, HX1200i 80+ Platinum Fully Modular, Corsair Link RAM: G.SKILL Sniper X Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C16D-32GSXFB Case/Tower: Phanteks Enthoo Elite PH-ES916E_BK Black Anodized Aluminum Panels, Powder Coated Steel Chassis, Tempered Glass Side Panel E-ATX Full Tower Case CPU Cooling: Fractal Design Cooler FD-WCU-CELSIUS-S36-BK, Dynamic X2 PWM fans with 500 to 2000 RPM with sound dampening System Disk: SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen3.X4, NVMe 1.3 64L V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7E1T0BW Storage Disk: HGST DeskStar NAS 3.5" 4TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0 Gb/s High-Performance Hard Drive for Desktop NAS Systems Monitor: n/a My friend says he spent approximately $7,000 CAD on this rig (in 2019 if I recall correctly), but is willing to sell it to me for less (has not said how much yet). My dilemmas, doubts, and what I need help figuring out is the following: First of all, are the specs of my friend's computer good for my purposes? I think it might even be overkill, which I am fine with. If I get my friend's rig, should I leave it as it is or do you recommend changing/replacing any components? As a side note, I might underclock the CPU to reduce electricity bill, if possible because the Threadripper will increase my electricity bill by 20~30% according to my calculations. If I get my friend's rig, should I keep the case too? It is absolutely massive, and my friend says I can put my current rig in there together with the other... can I do that? should I? I have no idea if putting both motherboards/rigs together in the same case is a good idea or not, I feel like it increases the risk if anything happens to one rig it could affect the other one too... If I get my friend's rig but without the massive case, what case do you suggest for that build? (I like black cases, preferably metal instead of plastic, I prioritize PC safety and practicality over aesthetics) If I do not get my friend's rig, what build would you suggest buying/assembling instead for my purposes? I am still a beginner when it comes to PC rigs/building. I will appreciate any comments and advice.

Hello! Are there any sort of 3D artists here? Blender or Cinema 4D users perhaps? And if so, what are some of your Renders?
-
Had the idea to do this years ago, and finally bothered to do it. It's the LTT logo in 3D as a realistic neon sign. Then I made it a wallpaper. I've done 3 variations and would probably be down to do more background/colour variations if anyone wants them. If there's a good reception to these WAN show, TechLinked and GameLinked versions might also be around the corner Have fun! If you wanna see how I made it, I streamed it and also uploaded a stream timelapse. If you're feeling generous give my YouTube channel a sub or whatever if you like seeing people make a bunch o stuff. Download link (HD and 4K)

Hi, I'm asking on behalf of a 3d artist looking to upgrade their workstation and I'd like to gain some insight into which type of card would best suit their purpose. Background information: - current pc is a Ryzen 9 5900x, 64gb ram, 3060ti 8GB - Daily used programs are Unreal Engine 5, 3dsMax, Vray, Sketchup, Revit, Substance Painter - They create photorealistic models and simulations of the exterior and interior of architectural buildings For these applications, which card would be better suited to the workflow and why? Also, are the differences worth that extra increase in price for the A5500? Thanks,

how do i upgrade my 32gb RAM to 64gb on a later time? Money constraints. That is why i just opted for a 32gb in the meantime so i can start on working. I do After Effects (video renders & editing, motion graphics, animation), Photoshop, graphic designs, some 3d modeling & sculpting. Recommended to me was to get a 64gb RAM for the creative work. Will use this all for work and no gaming. I got a G.Skill Ripjaws 32gb Dual kit / 3600mhz / ddr4 / cl16. Board- MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 (memory slots = 4) CPU- Intel i5 12600K So.... how do i upgrade my 32gb RAM as 64gb on a later time? 1. is it better if i should just replace it with a new 64gb (16gb x4 sticks) later? 2. or can i just add another dual 32gb (of same specs) making them a total of 4 sticks (32gb dual + 32gb dual) 3. Will there be an issues with my option2?? ...since i know it is recommended to get RAMs by kits and not mix 4. What will be the difference (for creative work, NO Gaming) of a 64gb-pack-of-4-sticks...VS...two-kits-of-dual32gbs(having 64gb in total)? Provided they have the same specs of 3600mhz / ddr4 / totaling 64gb. 5. Furthermore question in case you are still reading.... will there be an issue (there's always a "but") two-kits-of-dual32gbs if they have different latencies? For example- i have an existing cl16 from my 32gb dual kit today. But only cl18 (but same 32gb dual 3600) is available at the time i can buy/upgrade later. So, is there a big issue in this case?

Hey Guys, i recently upgraded my the GPU and PSU of my current machine : CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: 4090FE PSU: Corsair HX1200 MOBO: MSI mpg x570 RAM: 16GBx2 DDR4 Case: Antec p101 I want to upgrade the rest of my machine soon (1-2 months), usage is pretty much everything: 3D work and rendering with Daz3d and Blender, Gaming, Encoding(HVEC,AV1,WEBP), media, browsing, etc. Budget is hard to say, exactly, but it's very flexible. I don't want to go balls to the wall dream build, i need help finding a good spot that will not bottleneck the 4090. Here are my thoughts: CPU – I want to go AM5, and i think the 3D work will be most impacted here. I won't go 7600 but im not sure i need to get a 7900X. Id like something before the big diminishing returns. RAM – No idea, DDR5 2X32 probably? MOBO – Pretty clueless here, is the "cheapest" that support all of my components good enough? (don't need Wi-Fi) CASE – I've been thinking about the 5000D, and filling it with 120mm AIO - was thinking about a 240 or 360 exhaust on the top Haven't built in over 3 years, so sightly clueless.

Planning to do some 3d rendering (not professionally for now). Just wondering how big does ram impact rendering or even just 3d modelling, and if 32 is enough . I know vram is important but what about the standard ram . In term of what I'll be rendering, would probably mostly be a whole scene, than just an item.(wanna try rendering background for my illustrations ) Resolution would also be fairly high i think (4k+)

Hello all, I have been having this issue when I've gone and updated my GPUs driver. I am currently running a 3070ti on the 517.48 firmware with no issues. Whenever I update my driver the 3D constantly spiked between any% and 100% even when nothing is going on. I can't seem to find anything regarding this issue on the interwebs! This issue has been present in every driver NVIDIA has released since the version I am currently on.

Budget (including currency): 1000$CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rainbow Six: Siege, GTAV, Fallout 4/76, Apex Legends, Blender 3.2 (Rendering simple Animations Nothing TOO Demanding), Adobe After Effects (Basic Editing, no big projects), and the RTX is pretty important for me since i do want to run some games with raytracing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a pretty above average knowledge in computer hardware, so i picked this part list to fit my needs. I just need to know if i should change out any parts (should still stay within the 1000$CAD Budget) Ill Be buying this soon, but i dont know when EXACTLY but within the next 4 months. i need help with pricing because im getting the parts in 2 different dates The GPU ill be getting near black friday times and i dont know what the sale % will be or if it will even be in stock then and the rest ill be getting earlier than black friday so theyll be closer to MSRP prices (I KNOW the ReadMe Said not to put a list [sorry lol] but i specifically chose these to my needs, BUT would be fine with changing some out) and Im pretty firm on the intel platform Parts I'd Prefer: Intel Core i3-10100F (96$CAD) MSI B560M PRO-VDH WIFI Micro ATX (LGA 1200) [129$CAD] Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3200MhZ CL16 (73$CAD) Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD (I already have a 500gb 2.5in SATA SSD Ill be booting off of, the hdd is for video and misc storage) [65$CAD] MSI RTX 3060 12GB VRAM (500$CAD [Again, price May Change during black friday]) Corsair CX650M 650 W 80+ Bronze (Semi-Modular) [Will this Be Enough?] [119$CAD] I wanna buy EVERYTHING new, None second-hand (check edit 2) Total: $982-ish The cpu only has 4 cores so i dont know whether itll be enough for editing but i dont do very excessive editing thatd need like 12 cores, this is my main worry but im willing to change the cpu if the gpu is on sale The gpu may be a bit overkill but as im only 14, i cant really buy another gpu for a few years so ill put that in a new build if i do upgrade a few years in the future Im getting the case seperate to my budget, and need suggestions, but a lesser expensive case would be better. I Already have a 24'' 1440p 75Hz Monitor (i dont wanna get a new monitor as i recently bought that one and my parents wouldnt allow me to buy a new one this early) And i use an old 19'' 1600x900 Monitor as my second monitor as i like to watch videos while doing work or gaming so its not too important for it to be high-res i already have a good keyboard and mouse which i dont wanna change out im upgrading because my current computer is a literal 10 year old intel core i5-2500 HP Workstation my dad gave me for online school classes but i use it for some blender animation (no gaming because it literally cant) I Apologize for writing so much, im just really worried ill buy something wrong and waste money Thank you so much in advance :] Edit: Something ive just realized is that if the GPU is on sale during black friday i can probably fit in a better CPU? so suggestions for that would also be nice) Edit 2: Might look into used GPUs to wiggle in a better cpu

I'm a 3D Generalist and the goal is to build a workstation monstrosity this will be my first PC Build and I want to build something lasting that I won't need to update soon. Current Peripherals: - Monitor: Samsung 49" Odyssey G9 Ultra Wide (Don't plan on getting more) - Keyboard - Need to purchase a keyboard preferably mechanical like the look of the IQUNIX F97. Open to more recommendations looking for full size. - Mouse - Need a mouse as well, my current one is a cheap logitech that comes in the pack with the keyboard. Current Hardware: - Graphics Cards: 2 Geforce RTX 3080s ($799 each, total spend $1600) Planned Hardware: - CPU: Intel i9 12900K - Motherboard: Need help finding a motherboard that optimizes the performance of 2 graphics cards. There are a lot of motherboards out there that promote x16 pcie lanes but when both are populated they only run at x8. I know that affects the performance of the graphics cards. Does it affect it enough to matter? Is the difference negligible when it comes to rendering performance? Need the most help here. - Memory: 128GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro - Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2 Solid State Drive (looking for some help on options for additional storage as well, working with 3D often creates large project files so I want to be able to have an additional hard-drive to store all that on that has enough read write speeds to not have it be a pain opening up files and such.) - Power Supply: Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 G2 80+ GOLD 1600W - Case: Fractal Design Define XL R2 Titanium Big Tower Case Open to all feedback, want this build to be great! Thank you in advance for your help!

Hey all, I got a "new" laptop recently, it has the thick active 3D glasses, the demo slides and the animation in the Nvidia Control Panel work fine and look great. But whenever I try to run games it doesn't pick up the 3D most of the times. I use the 3D Fix Manager, but for the games that it just doesn't pick up like BO2 I installed the fix manually. A good example I think is how GTA 5 went, It will revert the 3D stereo option to off almost every time. Then I try the 10th time and it's on ON but I don't see any depth. I managed to start it in a way that I could see the depth but when I restarted it was gone again. DMC 4 is another one that I tried, the demo pic looks great but with and without the fix it just doesn't work. I don't do anything before the beep of the fix but nothing, F10 makes a beep but nothing happens, f1-3 also don't do anything to the UI depth. I also didn't get Crysis 2, NFS 1 and OW to work. Please tell me there's someone here who know what I'm doing wrong! I would love to use the 3D for movies and games.

Hi ! I want to build a new PC for 3D and I try to pick part that are useful and work together. Budget (including currency): $3500 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: for modeling and both CPU and GPU rendering in Cinema 4D and Blender, plus Unreal Engine 5 and other visual arts software. I'll be rendering large scenes and still images, about 10-20 minutes each. It's unlikely I'll be rendering animation frames. Other details This is my first build, so I'd greatly appreciate feedback. I won't be overclocking. It won't require future expansion. It's important for this PC to be reasonably quiet. PCPartPicker list AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor Noctua NH-U12A 60.09 CFM CPU Cooler Gigabyte X570S AORUS MASTER ATX AM4 Motherboard G.Skill Ripjaws V 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR 10 GB FTW3 ULTRA GAMING LHR Video Card Fractal Design Define 7 Compact ATX Mid Tower Case Corsair HX Platinum 1000 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Microsoft Windows 11 Pro OEM 64-bit I'm going for the Ryzen 5950X because it runs 10°C cooler than the i9-12900K. GIGABYTE X570S AORUS Master motherboard because it's newer, has plenty of 10gbps USB, no chipset fan, 2.5gbps Ethernet. Samsung 970 EVO drive only because it's a popular purchase. Compact case because it's lighter and smaller. 1000W PSU because it costs about the same as an 850W & PSUs operate at peak efficiency when using half their potential. I'm probably going for an LG monitor, unless someone knows of a better brand. I'm interested in hearing opinions, especially any red flags you might see.

3d printers 3D Printer choice that i`m struggling with
NSOrdinary posted a topic in Hobby Electronics
so here i`m again. looking for assistance on choosing between 2 3d printers i have been looking videos for few days. so here are my 2 options: Creality Ender 3 V2 Creality Ender 3 Pro Idea at the moment is to get something that i cant print some fpv accessories for my upcoming builds. When it comes to prices. there aren't much difference (~40 Eur) between them. And plus importing via amazon them to ireland. (Have prime, but lately few pc things makes me pay import, idk why) So my question is not about witch one prints better or faster. But which one would be better choice for occasional print. at the moment i don't plan anything but fpv parts. maybe.i will print few toys for my goddaughter. like those octopuses or whatever. Who knows. what comes to modding of these 2 printers. i have general idea what i could try to do. to make the a bit silent and few other things. Maybe some of you already have one or both of these, maby you can tell me your thoughts on these aswell and maybe suggest something. Thanks in advance… :)*- 7 replies
