This is first time in my life buying a gaming GPU. I was only playing on consoles so it is Hard for me to deiced to go with any of these: EVGA RTX 2070 Black https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487413&cm_re=rtx_2070-_-14-487-413-_-Product MSI RTX 2070 Armor https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137366&cm_re=rtx_2070-_-14-137-366-_-Product Both are not OC if needed i will OC the card later when if needed. the only differences i noticed is MSI card has small RGB and Back-plate, other things should be the same. Thanks,

Hello, I'm about to buy a new graphic card in 2-3 months the time i save the money for it. I can't really afford a 1080 TI or 2080 TI, but i still want Something enough good for years. So, i have a 1080p 144Hz monitor, but it support only Freesync, not G-Sync. This make me think that a graphic card with freesync like a Vega 64 would be better than a 1080 / 2070 from nvidia without G-sync. I saw that G-Sync / Free-Sync are a bit must-have for a gamer, it is ? Would appreciate more details about that. What happen if i have 150 FPS on a 144 Hz monitor for exemple, without freesync / g-sync, will it be as good as with freesync/g-sync? And the main question is : Does the sacrifice to a Vega 64 for Freesync with it's super high power comsuption, is still Worth it on a 1080/2070 but no G-sync and free sync ? As i dont have enough incoming to afford a G-Sync monitor, this make me really think that a Vega 64 Freesync would gave me a better experience than a 1080/2070 card without any sync, even if those last ones give a bit more FPS. What do you guys think about that?

So I got my new RTX 2070 and ROG Swift PG278QR a couple of days ago and at first everything were working fine except for that the lights on the GPU restarted everytime I launched COD BO4. Today I started to get more problems though. I played some BO4 multiplayer and after I played it for a while, the game just froze and a lot of pixels started appearing on the screen (photos below). I tried to tab out of the game and that didn't work. But after maybe a minute I actually got out of the game but then I saw that everything was just messed up and was glitching like hell. Then suddenly some green pixels started appearing on the screen and the computer just shut off and rebooted. When I got to the login screen the resolution was all weird, like when I first had installed the GPU like 600x400 or something like that. I thought it might have been something weird with the graphics drivers since I didn't use DDU to uninstall the old drivers. So I downloaded DDU to remove all the drivers and after I've done that I downloaded the drivers from Nvidia once again. But now after that I still got the same problem, but even worse cuz BO4 freezes after just a couple of minutes and all the weird pixels starts appearing. One time I managed to close the game in the task manager, next time nothing was responsive and the computer just shut off and the latest time I got a error meesage and the pc restarted (image below). It's really weird because yesterday I played BO4 for 5 hours straight and I had no problems. Anyone got any suggestions on what could be wrong and what to do? I appreciate all the support I can get. Thanks! (Specs in my signature)

i just bought a new graphics card (MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z) and it does not have a DVI port on the backside like my old graphics card did, and now i have no idea what type of cable i need to use or adapter i need to use to be able to use my monitors full potential again. Im sorry if its a very basic question but im also not very good with these things.

Hey, i actually own a GTX 970 GPU with a i5 4690k CPU and think about upgrading my GPU for the black friday. I found an RTX 2070 at roughly the same price as a 1080, the question is, would my CPU bottleneck the 2070 power and how badly ? I checked the website "thebottlenecker.com/calculator" for a 1080 coupled with my CPU and it did say that the bottleneck percentage would be around 26%. I read though that this site is not very accurate, hence why i'm asking here. I mostly plan on playing at a 1080p resolution at 120-144hz and play VR games on the oculus rift (i would like to run subnautica VR smoothly even though it is poorly optimized) but i eventually might upgrade to a 1440p monitor and change my cpu to a ryzen 2600 in the future but not for now. Any suggestions or recommandations ? Would i be buying the 2070 for nothing and should i settle on a 1070 and buy a better cpu instead ? I'm a bit confused. Thanks !

Hi everyone! So I'm new to the gaming pc world and was so excited to see just how much better it would be than console gaming. That was until I have had very low performance issues in Battlefield V. Specifically on the multiplayer side. I was so bummed to barely being able to keep a steady 50 fps in all of the games played even on a mix of high and med settings. I tweaked all of the settings in-game and in the nvidia control center that were recommended to maximize fps and performance. Also made sure to delete and reinstall all drivers and am updated to the latest windows 10 to access to dxr. Still no better than 50 fps.Should also mention that I have the resolution scale at 100% and the fullscreen resolution at 2560x1440p 120hz and all 4 options on the basic video settings to off. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Maybe it's on the games' side? Any info will help at this point, thanks ahead! Monitor: Asus RogSwift 27' curved 144hz 1440p Current Computer setup: I7-8700 3.2 ghz 6 cores 12 threads Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2070 with 8gb gddr6 16GB DDR4 Dual Channel Memory 1TB HDD 240GB SSD

I was randomly scrolling through the internet looking for deals in the second-hand websites and well, I found someone had been already trying to sell a RTX 2070. Link: https://www.dcfever.com/trading/view.php?itemID=6838554 What are your views on this? Is this genuine or just another blatant scam?

Zotac 1080 Amp = ¥65,000 ($580) MSI 2070 Armor No OC Variant = ¥71,000 ($635) Zotac 1080Ti Amp = ¥86,000 ($770) Which do you think is a good buy? I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Monster Hunter at 1080p. I do have a 4k TV hooked up to my PC but 1080p is enough for me because I prefer smoother game play rather than higher resolution. EDIT MSI 2070 No OC *Variant Zotac 1080 Amp ¥60,000 ($535) to ¥65,000 ($580) *I saw a used card new one is ¥65,000

I have seen a few youtube videos of people doing case mods and other stuff and they put air coolers like the noctua d15 on there 9 or 10 series graphics card. yes its noisier buts considerably cooler. whats peoples opinions on this. i know the 20xx series has other bits other than the cpu that over heats but i find i'm tempted to cool it with a noctua or bequiet. for the record i refuse to go water cooling on my new build cause the pc will be moved semi regularly and water coolers (even brand all in one, ones) have a tendency to dislike being moved. I'm geting a lan case to make it easyer to move.

Pretty self explanatory in the title, but will the i7 6800k be a bottle neck to the an EVGA 2070? I saw the gamers nexus benchmarks and it out performs the 1080 only by a little bit so I figured it would be a safe buy, but I wanted some other opinions.

hey yall i made a post similar to this not to long ago but now that its out id like some opinions, In my area, the new ASUS Turbo RTX 2070 is only $50 extra than the average GTX 1080. The other RTX 2070's are over $200 more than the ASUS Turbo edition, and I'm def not even considering those retarded price tags, but I was wondering if this one seems like a decent deal considering i was originally going for a GTX 1080 anyways. From what I've seen the ASUS Turbo RTX 2070 looks somewhat decent, but what do yall think? ((I also want to point out incase anyone suggests that the GTX 1080TI's are still insanely high here, and even the used ones are high, so that option is out of reach.))
-
Hey yall, I know the benchmarks aren't out yet for the RTX 2070, and just in general the RTX lineup has flopped massively so far. But assuming a scenario where both the RTX 2070 and GTX 1080 cost the same in my country, which would be the better option to pick up? My obvious gut tells me the RTX 2070, but I wanna see what yall think. With the information we have so far, is the 2070 looking better or worse?

Hi everyone I thought I'd make this topic for myself and all the others looking at selling their previous generation GPUs. This is not a topic about performance or if its worth it to make the switch. What would you guys say the resale value/price of previous generation GPUs should be?

Hey, so I know the 3080 drops in about a week from now, and everyone is wanting to buy anything that has a number 3 in it, but I am wondering if I should buy either of these graphics cards right now and save myself the disappointment later. The two cards are a 2070 and a 2060 super, both from gigabyte and both are about 650 aud. https://www.austin.net.au/gigabyte-gv-n2070wf2-8gd-graphics-card-geforce-rtx-2070-8-gb-gddr6.html (2070 card) https://www.austin.net.au/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-super-windforce-oc-8g.html (2060s card) I'm only going to be gaming at 1080p with an r5 3600, but I will be using ray tracing for games like cyberpunk and minecraft if i can. Which one should i buy? Or should I just hold out for the 3070 even though its far more pricey and kind of overdoing it? P.S. I dont know if this should go in building or graphics cards so i posted it here bc its more of a purchase question

Opinion needed: I want to purchase a middle weight gaming laptop. I am afraid that the rx5600m will have compatibility issues and sub par driver optimisation. On the plus side for the Red Team: The Dell G5SE already is close to Rtx2060 performance and I am expecting the MSI Alpha to be at par with the 2060 because of better thermal design. I don't see using raytracing on a mobile 2060 so the Nvidia 1660ti looks like the contender on the green side and the 2070 would be the choice if I want to go with raytracing option. The 5600 is cheaper than the 1660ti and I can get Freesync on the MSI Alpha. On the plus side for the Green team: The drivers are better optimised for WOW. There is a lot of choice of laptop I can get a machine from Dell, HP or Lenovo and have a keyboard layout with my language for the 90% on nongaming usage. Finally I am located in Canada so I don't even know of MSI will sell the Alpha rx5600m here. I am waiting for a review of the Alpha 5600m before making my final choice Currently I have a Ryzen 1700 with a RX480 8GB and I want an upgrade in performance

Hey folks, I'm planing on upgrading my GPU I'm currently using a GTX 1060 3Gb. I've got my eye on a 2070s and 2070. 2070s does look nice, but is it worth $805 or should i go with the 2070 for $736 (tax included). What do you guys think? and should I go for something different?
