That power supply should run that system flawlessly. Honestly I'd say its way overkill actually id switch down to something like a 700 watt power supply unless you feel like you really need the headroom. Thats the kind of psu you run if you are going to have like 3 980 ti's. Also I would wait for a gtx 1080 its much ore powerful than the 980 ti and it has 2 more gb of vram. -

Id wait for the benchmarks but if the 1080 ones are any indication of the power difference between these generations, the 1070 should be much more powerful than the 970 -
I use a 1650x1050 monitor as a second screen and my fiance uses a 1440x900 one as her second.

right now the hangar and the arenas run fairly well on my gtx 980 at 1440p. the universe itself is seeing low frames but thats not from bad game optimization so much as they need to optimize the servers to handle the sheer enormity of the game. Being and alpha it breaks and they fix it and it breaks and they fix it and so on. Before you get into star citizen at this very moment, ask yourself whether you have the patience to deal with how buggy an alpha is. Otherwise if you still decide to join, the LTT has an orginization in star citizen and we are always recruiting.
