personally I think you have completely misrepresented the whole pc gaming community, how to become a pc gamer is simple you buy your pc and play game on it ,it really does not matter to start out with as long as it runs the games you want to play.The most important part about being a pc gamer is having fun online with your friends and meeting new people along the way. Being a pc gamer does not require you to build your own pc from scratch or spending large amounts of money on your set and peripherals. building your own computer is a separate hobby that is commonly undertaken by pc gamers,enthusiasts an professionals. in a final note it would be interesting to see how the rest of the Linus TECH tips/ Linus Media group forum members feel the becoming a pc gamer journey was for them

Used a few apple products the build quality (outside)is fantastic as for the rest of the company no thank you I didn't really like the user experience so I will stick with my windows and android devices thank you very much, apple are just money hungry and care little about anything else

Personally I really enjoy using windows 8 and that includes the metro ui its fresh and new just what I want from developers I moved from windows 7 and I don't think I will go back unless something drastically bad happens. I hope Microsoft keep moving forward with this
