    First of all, lets clarify something out, i actually own this laptop, mine is the ACER Aspire R7-572G-54208G75ass ( i5 haswell variant ) . You asked about performance, in my case i was getting 25-35 fps Crysis 3 at medium setting at 1920 x 1080. Regarding the hinge mechanism, it is not a gimmick , i find it a must if you use the touch screen for browsing the net or anything else. I don't mind the track pad position at all, for my it's touch screen first then mouse then n-trig Stylus then track pad. If you have any further questions I'll do my best to answer them for you. Bellow it's proof that i actually own it.
