  1. Linus, can you please stop hating on the USB 2? By now, you have enough influence to actually make them stop including it. USB 2 is a great feature, it requires less driver support, thus being a big help when things don´t work and some older peripherals just refuse to cooperate with USB 3. Please stop hating on it, one slower port doesn´t hurt anyone and it is amazing help with the compatibility.
  2. Is there a way to have AdBlock or program with the same functionality set up to be off by default and allow me to turn it on selectively?
  3. Too bad the title of the video isn´t the same as the title of this topic. Will it be changed after the initial influx of views? Do these ambiguous titles really generate more views? Either way, looking forward to 10603GB and 480 aftermarket being added to the comparison.
  4. Why the hate for USB 2? It is much better in the terms of compatibility, much less driver dependant and the only downside is the speed. When something just refuses to work, the last thing you care about is the speed. With the lack of optical mechanics and easily removable HDDs, USB 2.0 is gr8. Having to unscrew the bottom of laptop, just to get to the HDD and placing the basic files with OS there stinks and some peripherals hate 3.0 even with drivers. To add to that, peripheral manufacturers often don´t really care about Linux and you could be just stuck. Sure, most ppl don´t use Linux, but the guy who is trying to fix it will, and this saves a lot of time.
  5. Is the battery removable? What are the features of Google Daydream? I have recently bought a 3rd party VR helmet, it´s quite good, so I´m wondering what advantages does this one have...
  6. Is the battery removable?
  7. Some nice looking wired mouse that has RGB for some reason, nice looking wireless mouse and generic keyboard I took from work.
  8. Delivered on the rename after the initial boom, nice .
  9. GTX 660, 480 is much better than that
  10. Are you planning to release open doors for waterproof case that let more sound in? Are you planning on releasing a water-resistant case that allows the camera to be charged while in the case?
  11. Would be great, if you could keep the catching title in the first days when the most of the traffic comes and then add the name of the product and the brand, to make it easily searchable. It was a great review, GoPro really needs a noticeable competition. It´s also just a cheap camera from China, but extremely hyped up and while there have been better alternatives have been around for a long time, they get easily lost in the sea of low quality rip-offs.
  12. Just watched the Xiaomi video, great review!
  13. I´m really disappointed that GoPro is the one and only action cam featured. Their whole marketing is focused on making the costumer think that they are the only option on the market and it is crippling the whole sub-industry. Especially in this scenario, a camera with no display and settings, that are night on impossible to access underwater, is a very poor choice.
  14. Was the uplink so bad? Or why wasn´t the footage just uploaded and edited in the studio? PS: I´m just curious .
  15. Of course, the clarity is number one, but distortion is very important. For example, I can recognize who is calling without looking at the display, or in group calls, when the voices are distorted, it could be nearly impossible to keep track of who said what. I know that US (and Canada I guess) uses different wireless phone technology, so that may be the case. Be is as it may, LTE should improve the voice clarity and minimize distortion, so hopefully, we would soon be able to enjoy the realistic voices over phones everywhere .
  16. Well? I was shocked how awful all of it sounded, the build in microphone, the wired one and the second wireless, all of it was terrible. The voice was completely distorted. It was like VoiP call with extremely low bandwidth. Is this some US mobile network thing, or why was it this terrible?
  17. As far as velcro is concerned, there is a velcro called DualLock from 3M that does have 3M tape on the other side. It holds stupidly well and will work for hundreds of reconnections. I use it to mount different components on different parts of my motorcycle, and none has ever fell of during riding and most of them even stay on during a crash.
  18. Normally I´d say you can´t break a broken thing, but I think that Linus just about did it . Still a nice guide, little bit crazy, but still nice.
  19. My HDD is making a strange noise, so I´d have to pick up a new one anyway and SSD is much better in use cases where the reads and writes aren't sequential.
  20. Any of them, don´t know enough to chose, I know so little that I have bought wireless only "gaming" mouse.
  21. Loved this video, concept I haven´t seen before that works and offers a significant improvement. I would love to see thousands of small live news channels run by few enthusiasts and this setup works and isn´t unrealistically expensive. Amazing video, finally I have a favorite video of 2015 from LTT .
  22. An SSD for myself, because I´m and despicable and selfish person.
  23. Could be useful to have something very portable that delivers PCish performance, could also be useful for someone who doesn´t have a lot of space at home.
