  1. Yes, and the prices are the same so I can't say I care.
  2. Cablemod's magnetic RGB strips are easily the best case lighting I've seen/used. I strongly recommend them. http://www.performance-pcs.com/cablemod-widebeam-magnetic-led-strip-rgb-kit-60cm-30-leds.html#Details
  3. I have the X34, but I think both will be fairly similar if you're going to wall mount. Feature wise, they're almost identical displays. I didn't like the "GAM3R SWAG" look of the Asus, but that'll be right against a wall for you. In fact, just comparing the logos on the front bezel of both displays, the Asus looks a more sleek. I do, however, like the customizable underglow that the X34 has. The differences are so slight that I don't think you can make the wrong choice here... Maybe go with whichever is cheaper at the time of purchase.
  4. Cablemod has exactly what you're looking for. Look up magnetic RGB strips on Performance-Pcs.com.
  5. Simply slouching isn't enough to see any color shift in my Dell monitor. I can't exactly speak for the 24" version, but I would imagine it'd be similar. (I would personally recommend spending the extra 100-150 on the 27" the next time it's in stock though). I will say that my Dell desperately needed to be calibrated when I got it though. Simply grabbing a pre-made profile from TFT Central made a huge difference.
  6. After 4 years, I sold it to a friend and he's still using it. No problems at all.
  7. I'll give you my opinion based on the TN and IPS panels I have in front of me. The difference between my calibrated Dell S2716DG and my Predator X34 for color quality isn't absolutely massive, assuming you're sitting in front of both at a desk (though the X34 is noticeably more vibrant). Once we start talking viewing angles though, there's no contest. The TN Dell looks like garbage at an off angle and the X34 stays the same. For something that is used exclusively as a desktop monitor, I don't think the poor viewing angles should really factor into a decision... That being said, the Dell's TN panel is one of the best TNs you can buy (it's the same LG panel that the ROG Swift uses), and a cheap TN panel likely would not hold up as well.
  8. I'd drop to a 4GB RX 480, if you really have to save some money.
  9. Spend an extra $20... https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Geforce-1050-Graphic-GV-N105TD5-4GD/dp/B01M4KGTNI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1488688930&sr=8-2&keywords=1050ti
  10. As long as you have a motherboard that supports 8x PCIE to both cards, you'll be totally fine.
  11. I'm afraid so. This will definitely not work in Surround. Surround wouldn't even work for me when I had an Asus ROG Swift and two Dell S2716DGs (all three are 1440p, 144hz, G-Sync displays that use the exact same LG panel). I had to replace the Swift with a third Dell.
  12. If Eyefinity support hasn't changed much since the AMD 6900 series, something like this could definitely work in games that do support multi-monitor setups. However, I do specifically mean AMD's Eyefinity. Nvidia Surround requires more or less identical monitors to work and is far more picky.
  13. The current Titan XP block from EK is confirmed to already fit the FE 1080TI (it's basically the same card with one less VRAM module).
  14. Definitely seems like a settings issue, not a GPU issue. Make sure your display is set to your native resolution of 1080p and that the games are set for the same thing with any scaling settings set to 100% or higher.
  15. With the advent of GPU Boost 3.0, cards tend to clock themselves as high as they can regardless of factory settings. If you're throwing a block on it, I don't believe the manufacturer is going to matter. But that's just my opinion, I have 2 reserved from Nvidia
  16. It'd really be more helpful if you'd give numbers rather than claiming that you have no lag at 4K. Some people are fine with 30fps and consider that a lag-free experience. Guru3d benched a 1080 with Witcher 3 at 4K 48fps (which is far too low for my tastes) and that's with Hairworks completely disabled, which is a performance hog.
  17. Since you already have 2 1080s, I'd pass on the TI unless you can buy 2 of those as well. Otherwise, it's a drop in performance in any game that does support SLI... Unless it also happens to need more than 8GB of VRAM, so Titanfall 2 or maybe Rise of the Tomb Raider. lol
  18. Correction: My build has 13 fans. Just 2 of them are normal NF-F12s. lol My goal was "ridiculously overkill and quiet liquid cooling", so I completely filled a 900D with dual 480 rads and a single 240. The fans spin at 450rpm.
  19. That thing is going to absolutely scream. I don't mean that it'll sound like a loud computer, it's going to sound like someone is yelling at you. lol
  20. I have an MSI laptop with one, and I can tell you it's gonna struggle. I got by playing BF3 multiplayer on low settings @ 1080p, but that's about as much as it could handle. I still use the laptop for more basic games though.
  21. Yep! Liquid cooling is very effective, but sealing off everything entirely, even from passive airflow certainly presents a problem. It would be very interesting to see how it could be dealt with, but it might not be a good starting point for modding.
