Hi all, I am searching for a decent set of headphones (around the AUD$150 mark, so $120US) for gaming with a bit of movie watching and music thrown in. I do not need a mic and my main concern is COMFORT. I wear glasses and I need a pair of headphones that don't press my frames through the side of my head and into my brain! I have a set of Soundblaster Tactics that were bought for me but after 45mins they become unbearable to wear as the ear cups press too hard against the side of my head. Any members with glasses that can recommend a pair?

Z97 Asrock extreme 4 vs MSI Gaming 5
Mickydp1979 replied to Skreedles's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I am looking at the Z97M-Plus for my build. Which cpu are you using and are you overclocking it? -
Hi LTT Forum, Has anyone used the Asus Z97M-Plus motherboard to overclock an i5-4690K? I am deciding between this board and the Asus Z97-A and need to know if the $50AU price difference is worth it. I won't be going to a dual graphics setup and most of the features are comparable. How beneficial is the 8phase power supply over the 4 phase power supply in acheiveing a stable overclock? I will be aiming for 4.3-4.5GHz. Do the 5-way optimization and EZ-XMP features save time on setting up the overclock.? Any other suggestion in the $140 to $180 mobo price range. Cheers

Cool Giveaway Antec and LTT. Love the look of that EDG750 Power supply. The bonus being that it runs silent too.

Due to economies of scale and continued development, the price of X99 and DDR4 will start to drop. I had not taken the cooling situation into account though. My assumption is that Intel would rather push the X99 chipset and reduce development and manufacturing of the Z97 chipset. However if Broadwell still fits in the 1150 socket and works out of the box on 9 series chipsets then you are correct and it will be better for gaming then X99 and last a few more years yet. This brings up another question 4670K/4790K now or wait to see what Broadwell has to offer next year? Same old PC problem, there is always something new just around the corner

But is spending $500+ now (In AUS a 4790K is $400 and a motherboard around $150) on a Z97 based solution going to be the better option as opposed to waiting 6-12months and spending $500+ on a X99 solution? The upgrade path for X99 is bound to be better than Z97 by then. I am about to upgrade from a Core 2Duo to an i5 as my performance gain for $500 is going to be huge, where as the OPs upgrade doesn't make sense to me.

I've been an ATI/AMD man for my past 4 GPUs. These new Nvidia GTX 970s and 980s look super sweet and are at the top of my list for my next card. As to the Zotac flavour, I prefer the looks of the Omega over the extreme.

My favorite thing about the ASUS RoG G550JK laptop is the IPS display. Love that viewing angle and colour range.
