  1. Try to build PC that runs on par with a PS4/XBONE but using components that draw as little power as possible.
  2. First off, I don't know If I already started a topic here, so In case I haven't, Hi to everyone. Been a big fan of LMG content for a while now and I come to you for a problem Now I don't know if this falls under the peripheral category or laptop category or something completely different but here I go anyways Note on advance: I might derp with my english in some spots throughout this post lmao Ok, so I'm actually having 2 issues here: It all starts with a custom-made arcade stick that I made with an Akishop customs' PS360+ PCB and Sanwa buttons and stick. For those who don't know, this is a PCB that works for various consoles including XBOX 360, PS3/4 (hence the name) and PC. The issue comes with Windows 10 and sort of a luck game when it comes to connecting it. As a generic joystick, it works fine most of the time, but at certain intervals, it shuts down and my laptop doesn't recognizes it, forcing me to reconnecting it mid game, which effing sucks. However, while this would work fine in Street Fighter 4, since it recognizes the generic joystick inputs with no problem, for something like Killer Instinct I NEED to use it in XBOX 360 mode (since I can't use x360ce because f*ck you, Windows can do whatever they want with their content being locked and not modifiable). To do this, you have to hold the 2P (Medium Punch) button while plugging it to the PC, but it gives me the "Device not recognized error". Since it worked fine for Windows 7 and it gave me no disonnects using that OS. Now it happens and I can't play a damn thing unless I use something like keysticks (Which I have tried but is awkward as balls and I don't WANT to use it). Searching online I found that I was not the only one having this issue and that it started in windows 8 and may be related to both the OS and USB 3.0 power output. The "simple" solution involved using an USB hub and for whatever reason it ACTUALLY worked. It recognized it as an X360 device no problem, can play Killer Instinct yay...but something was odd. It turns out that while I was testing KI, I came across some strange lag that at first I assumed it was bound to the game itself (Kind of like what King of Fighters XIII did with the Steam version that NEVER got fixed), but then going back to Street Fighter 4 I noticed the VERY NOTICEABLE input lag. If I had a 240FPS recorder you could say that is not THAT bad, but as a Fighting game aficionado, is bad enough to make the games unplayable. So, the issues are: - Is there any temporal fix for Windows 8/8.1/10 not recognizing the stick on Xbox360 mode? - Is there a solution for the lag issue while using an USB hub? Do all USB hubs have inherent lag? Thanks in advance. PS: Sorry for bad inglesh
  3. Ok I have a suggestion: How about doing this again but using the lowest-as-possible-end components (RAM and CPU) that can match de TDP and heat and see how much it would cost. I've been checking some interesting builds for less than 400 Dollars, but could you really get the same or less heat output or TDP as a PS4? I mean, I don't know what RAM or CPU they used in that test. You could probably use the same GTX 480 with the rest of the components being less powerful, but powerful enough to not produce bottlenecks. Also, you could try with cheaper/older Graphics Cards. That would be an interesting experiment. To see that engineers not only made a low-end PC, but also made it as cost effective, low-energy consuming, and all-time cool as possible. ...or you could try with a gaming laptop from 2011/2012
