GG everyone who bought the 2080 for 4K gaming. 8GB VRAM is not enough for this game in 4K. The Vega 64 does better than the 2080 probably for no other reason than it uses HBM2 and has a lot of bandwidth.

 

Now I understand why some 2080 laptop designs use the 16GB VRAM variant for notebooks.

    As true as this may be, back when we still only had M versions it was typical to see more VRAM on laptop ones, I don't remember the reason why but it might simply have been either a marketing point or trying to make it last longer since it's tough to upgrade.
