  1. This monoprice mixer has all the things you need at around $65 dollars. It has 4 XLR inputs. The only draw back being that the USB outputs to 2 track only which means that you'll only be able to record 1 stereo or 2 mono tracks at a time. But if that's all you need it wont be an issue. At a slightly higher price at $130-$150 there are audio interfaces such as the M-Audio M track or the Scarlett 2i2 which are great for recording audio and are very durable. Also, have you looked into any of the USB microphones? like the USB version of the AT2020 or the Blue microphone range? It might be a cheaper option if you just need a simple mic setup.
