  1. So far im thinking about just running a framework moyherboard with the Ryzen ai max APU. Then designing the chasis around it with a touchscreen for a keyboard. Then doing programmable keys for buttons. That's just off the top of my head so far. I am thinking of possibly designing the chasis and then 3d printing it. If I get somthing I like i was thinking of even creating a mold and then trying to redo the chasis in aluminum
  2. I get that but i was hoping to find someone on here with first hand experience for dos and donts and just reccomendations.
  3. Im going full steamdeck. This isn't a need its more of trying to get into a hobby and learn some new stuff. So I want it to be able to emulate but I also want to be able to play Cyberpunk if I want to.
  4. I've been watching alot of videos on people making their own handheld machines and I have really wanted to try my hand at it. Ive been doing a ton of research and sketching up some ideas because this will be a pretty long term project for me. So my question is if anyone here has thought about doing somthing similar and if there are any reccomendations or taboos for this project, whether it be cpu, gpu, or even APU or buttons, dpads, analog sticks and the like. I am in the very early planning stage and was looking for advice from people who have maybe done it already. Thanks in advance
  5. Any specific reasons? The one on top looks to have about the same specs as the Samsung G8 for almost 100$ less, so I guess I am trying to see the difference.
  6. Hello everyone I have finally completed my plan for the build, and now I am looking into monitor upgrades. I am moving on from two Asus 27in 1080p 160hz refresh, and I want to get into one 34in+ widescreen curved 2k monitor. I am currently looking at the Samsung Odyssey G8 (LINK for exact model). I was wondering if anyone has any better recommendations or ideas for me. I play games like Battlefield 6, Cities: Skylines 2, and Drive Beyond Horizons, etc. It will mainly be used for gaming and some light browsing/media consumption. I'm trying to keep it preferably under 1000$, but in the end, there is no actual budget. Thanks in advance
  7. Hello everybody, So I built my gamer grammy a new PC for Christmas, and I am putting it through its paces. The only issue I noticed is that the fans are quite loud. Maybe it is just me, but I have my PC right next to me and I have never noticed fan noise. The fans it currently has are the ones that come with the Thermaltake Ceres 350 MX ATX Mid Tower Case and the fans that came with the MSI MAG CORELIQUID A13. I run these during casual gaming at about 1200 to 1800rpm, which seems to do fine, but still needs some finer adjustments. Does anyone have good recommendations on quiet fans for her? I know it will bother her, and I want to get it fixed before Christmas. Also, a decent fan hub would be nice as well. Thank you in advance
  8. I apologize, I originally posted in Graphics Cards. Hello everyone, I require some help because I am racking my brain on what could be the issue. My family and I are building my Grandma a new PC for Christmas. I just finished up the build, and it won't display. I installed my GPU in the PC, but it still won't display anything. I put the 5060 Ti into my PC, and it took a second, but it finally started displaying things. Here's the main Issue: the only new parts on it are the GPU, the case, and the AIO cooler. The rest of them are used parts that worked until they were upgraded. I'm guessing it's a motherboard issue, but I cannot figure it out. The motherboard and CPU came directly from a working PC, and the only difference is that it was running a 3080 Ti. Also, the monitor comes out of sleep just to tell me that there is no signal to the HDMI once the computer is booted up. The fans all come on as well, including the fans on the GPU, and so does the AIO pump. Here is what I have done to try to troubleshoot: Swapped GPU's Swapped the RAM and tried each stick individually Cleared CMOS in every way possible (using the built-in button on the motherboard and pulling the battery) Swapped to a different PCI Lanes (on both GPUS) Swapped power cables Updated bios Here's the PC list: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RRhgVF CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor ($287.24 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: MSI MAG CORELIQUID A13 62.6 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($88.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero ATX AM4 Motherboard ($739.99 @ Amazon) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Royal 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-4000 CL18 Memory ($149.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($179.97 @ Amazon) Video Card: Asus PRIME GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Video Card ($429.99 @ Amazon) Case: Thermaltake Ceres 350 MX ATX Mid Tower Case ($139.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair RM750x (2018) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($182.88 @ Amazon) Total: $2199.04 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2025-10-25 12:47 EDT-0400 Thank you for the Help in advance
  9. It has a special port specifically for AIO water coolers. So everything is plugged in correctly. I even tried to put my graphics card back in, but it still isn't working.
  10. I've got something plugged into the CPU fan, the pump header. Still nothing. I swapped the cable that I was using to power it as well. I think I am to the point where I have to disassemble.
  11. Yes, when I plug in my keyboard, it's just a 98 on the mobo and a green light. I have got the pump plugged into that fan header. I've tried two different displays with two different HDMI cables. I haven't done it yet because I want to try everything before I disassemble.
  12. It displays a 98 code usually, but just now, to double check, it's stuck on d7 now (Edit because I only have one keyboard, that was why I got stuck on the D7. With my keyboard plugged in, it's stuck on 98 with a green boot light)
  13. I tried my GPU in the system, and it still didn't work. All the fans and RGB are lit and running, including the water pump. The BIOS was updated in the previous build before disassembly.

  15. The main reason I went with it was that it was white. I know there are better-priced cards, I just couldn't find any in white. To the point where instead I was thinking about going with a 5070ti.
