forget about cry engine its going to be really hard for you alone to make a game from it. try unity3D its far more user friendly and there are millions of tutorials online for it compared to cryengine.

So im making a spaceship model inspired by star citizen and i need a company name. In sc they have company names for the makers of their ships eg// aegis dynamics and origin jumpworks. I have the ship name which is the black widow buy i need a company name to go along with it

i have a 60gb SSD and two 250gb HDD's and a nas with 2TB. The reason for my storage is this: 60gb SSD for os to boot fast and then the 250gb hdd's were reclaimed from old pc's. i built my pc during the floods, so storage was triple the cost so i couldn't afford it at the time. when the prices came down i brought a 2tb External drive and hooked it to a rasberry pi server. so my hdd's are used for storage, one for games and one for indie dev. my backup's go to the nas server :-) Thankyou for the prizes linus and keep up the good work!

I wouldn't of brought 2 6870's for crossfire as it's only got 1gb of vram.

i use vlc because of a statement in my head. "if vlc cant run it, it dosent run"

its the Gpu mate aswell a 610 is very low end but a 9800 was mid to high range at release ill explain the 6 is the series and the 10 is how far up the scale of power the gpu is eg// you need to read it more like 6-10 so a 610 is way less powerful than say a 580 even tho the numbers higher. 6-10 << 5-80 i know you've found out it was your hdd but an upgrade in the gpu department will give you a richer experience ;-)

logan at TekSyndicate does this and it works for him and it would be a great way for a bit of extra cash to make more vid's. i think teksyn use epic pants but im not sure if he has to run all the background stuff or if epic pants do the leg work. but i'd defo be in for that, what about adding second hand hardware where we do the leg work of sending it to the customer but linus takes a cut for advertising it, (like ebay)

im considering this name seems the kind of style im looking for thankyou if anybody has any other ideas feel free to post them to me as ive just scraped near enough every menu in the game ;-)

Some really good ideas here, I'll give a bit more info for you Remember the game was based on you being a freedom fighter for anonymous, but being scared of misrepresentation and ultimately being either an enemy of anon or them claiming all rights to my work I want to change the name and faction you play for, The start of the story is as follows (shortened) 2018 world peace and the un becomes a sole government of the world 2025 after seven years of peace and no opposition government the UNF start to become oppressive towards it citizens. 2030 guerilla factions start appearing in Europe with a simple logo of a guy fawkes mask as their signature 2035 the factions come together as the unf become more oppressive, the group reinvent anonymous as a freedom force and take over a city and rename it fawkes city, 2040 millions of refugees flee towards the anon city 2045 the unf declare war with anonymous See I don't anonymous to be represented as a terrorist group so I'm changing the name and their faction, hope this helps

Well it's heavily centered round being a freedom fighter with stealth and infiltration but Freedom fighter seems too boring to me Latin words perhaps?

I'm currently developing a fps game using udk but I have one problem the name. Originally I was going to call it anonymous, but I don't wanna be hacked to shite lol The game is a freedom fighter game set in the near future, I'm asking here cause these are my favourite forum's by a long shot Come on guys give me a good name preferably one word aswell

At the time nothing, but since all these problems with crossfire (runt Frames) i wouldnt of brought 2x 6870's i would of just brought either a gtx670 or 6950. at the time i just wanted a dual gpu but now i just want a better monitor (i didnt have enough money so im using my old one)

Check out odroidx it's a quad core pi style mini pc, it comes with android but I bet you can get Ubuntu to work on it

I'm pretty sure adobe mark up ridiculous on their software in Australia even tho its a download, there is a YouTube video of a reporter asking the ceo why. He avoids the question like the black plague, as a brit, this makes me angry that our commonwealth brothers get f'ed over on tech, Why is this because surely it can't just be a tax issue, And is it only with American companies or is it just in general? I agree here also Linus mentioned this on the live stream, I'm paraphrasing but basically he said they won't go away for a long time for the simple fact that cds/dvds are so so cheap to produce, and are very user friendly to a non techy person, not everyone knows how to use use sticks and people still use dial up Internet which outs streaming out the question
