  1. I ordered a set of 2x16GB 3200Mhz CL14 kit of TridentZ memory for my z170 impact. When I go to load the XMP Profile, there is only one profile listed as 3000Mhz 15-15-15-35. The packaging was sealed when I got it and it's supposed to be 3200Mhz 14-14-14-34. I manually set it to 3200mhz and cl14 when I received it almost three weeks ago and it worked fine, but now it's been very unstable. No idea what is going on.
  2. Favorite thing here would have to be the headset, would like to try it out though, but it looks REALLY nice.
  3. Coming from apple, I wouldn't be surprised. Just a bit actually. Coming from Forbes on the other hand, this is total BS.
  4. Those fans might be the prettiest thing coolermaster ever made.
  5. I downloaded Titanfall in 10 minutes. I sent a tweet right before I started the download because I was excited, and right when I finished because I was in shock of how short it took. Before Tweet. https://twitter.com/GloriouslyGavin/status/434422611548717056 After: https://twitter.com/GloriouslyGavin/status/434425570613424128 I get 50-60 mbps down. If I did the math correctly, that means I was downloading at 160 mbps. I think this even happened with battlefield too. I think one possibility is that they make it seem like you are downloading the full 12.3 GB, but that is really only the file size after installation, and what you are actually downloading is compressed and much smaller. Even then though, I dont think the compressed game is half the size of the installed game, and it definately downloaded more than twice as fast as it should have. Maybe they are paying ISPs for faster downloads, but coming from EA I find that very hard to believe. Coming from EA, I think it's more likely that not only is my previously mentions theory correct, but they also added a bunch of huge crap that can be compressed into very small sizes in there to artificially increase the file size. This could easily bebunked though, if someone just opened their task manager while they were downloading and seeing what speeds they are downloading at. I didnt do it, and Im too lazy to redownload now.
  6. I switched to Optimum Ultra 50 a few months ago, it was mainly for the download speed, which is great. I'm supposed to be getting 50 mbps down and 25 mbps up. Usually my downloads go slightly under 60mbps, which is better than advertised. My uploads, though, are generally around 3 mbps if not lower. The frustrating thing is that on Speedtest.net I almost ALWAYS get 20-25mbps. Yet, whenever I'm live streaming, uploading to youtube, or testmy.net I only get 1-4 mbps (Most of the time). Whenever this is happening though, I check on speedtest.net and I'm STILL getting 20-25mbps, despite it only being 2-4 mbps EVERYWHERE else. I know some ISPs base their internet on ONLY getting high speeds for speedtest.net, but one confuses me is that 1-4 mbps vs 25 mbps is extremely drastic, and sometimes, but rarely, I do have the full 25 mbps upload, but again it is rare and does not last long (I can probably stream for 2-3 hours and then the speed goes back down to 1-4 mbps) I know there is a few people on my internet, but I'm sure no one is uploading. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Is there something I can do on my end to make this better, or is it on their end?
  7. So I basically have to replace the cyan and yellow cartriges?
  8. I bought a samsung CLP415 refurb off ebay a few months ago. I've been printing shipping labels and documents with no problem, or that I've noticed at least. I started printing out images now, and the right side has magenta all over it. It tends to mainly happen during shadows and greys. I took out the magenta cartridge, and I cant see anything wrong with it from the outside. I think, and hope, the magenta cartridge is the only problem, but I don't want to buy a new cartridge, and then have it turn out that it was something else causing the issue. Here is a few pics to show what is happening
  9. I'm looking for a new laptop. I have about a $1000 budget, prefer to go less, but could go slightly more...maybe. I want the best price/performance, and I dont know what the sweet spot is in laptops. I need AT LEAST: 8GB of Ram 1920x1080 resolution Hasewell CPU some form of an SSD, be it a cache or a main drive. I do graphic design, video editing, and a lot of gaming. Screen size is irrelevant, but I'd prefer something around 13". Does anyone have any suggestions or a good place to get a custom configured laptop? Building one wouldn't be a problem, but I don't think it's a possibility. I'm open to anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  10. By the time a card takes advantage of PCI 3.0, it would probably be bottlenecked by your cpu anyways, so you're fine for now.
  11. You would have to be careless to hit the wood hard enough to break it, and what videos have you been watching? Here is the first video I saw when I searched it on youtube, and the guy lowered his temps by 40 degrees. Here is a chart of people who delided there CPU, http://www.overclock.net/t/1313179/official-delidded-ivy-bridge-club/0_20 there is only a handful of people who got less than a 10C improvement, and most get 20C or higher. If you have a "really bad chip" then you would definitely get well more than 10C impovement.
  12. 20c or so isn't just a few degrees :P You could also argue that it would increase the lifespan.
