    Well I have a 780 and I've been getting up to 117fps (max) in Battlefield 4 (higher in other games) I do love the look that ips give but If I go ips then I'll just be getting alot of tearing within the main games I play.

    They are both really great cards personally I got the 780 because I had the money and the 290x wasn't much cheaper at the time but It really depends of your budget Go look at some benchmarks of them overclocked. Personally 290/x would be a lot better for high resolution gaming.

    I mainly play fps, strategy and indie games. Uhh I have a claw/fingertip grip haha. Don't bother suggesting Razer products I've had some really bad luck with those ....
