Brandon P YT's Achievements

  1. I honestly didnt even think about bandwidth limits, im not sure about other countries, but I know that here in Australia we can get anything from 5GB per month to 2TB per month (Me personally, I have 200GB) and as you said, these forced updates will be a huge problem for say someone who only gets 5GB/month only leaving them with a 'bees dick' worth of data for their own usage.
  2. That is true, but I read somewhere else (cant remember where) that you can delay the updates in the Pro version but it will still force you to update it. For the average Joe, he/she wont know how to block the update servers and they'd just be stuck with the force-fed updates. Should have added that to the main post. Whoops...
  3. I saw read about this on Tech Crunch and the main part of the story I have pasted below, I have included the link to the website in case any of you are interested and want to check it out for yourself. Not sure about you, but this is going to piss a lot of people off, including myself. Thanks MS once again. The Software periodically checks for system and app updates, and downloads and installs them for you. You may obtain updates only from Microsoft or authorised sources, and Microsoft may need to update your system to provide you with those updates. By accepting this agreement, you agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice. 4. As I said, I had a quick look but didnt search for one for ages. My bad.
  5. I know its expensive, but as you said, DIY or have the fans help with the funds, im sure that LMG will be able to get one installed with our help.
  6. Hi world of LMG/LTT fans and staff, i've been seeing a lot of #FirePole things around the wonderful world of the internets lately and with my extremely small search for a petition I was unable to find one, so I was thinking that to make Luke's dreams come true, we could all stand together in front of Linus, sign this petition and DEMAND a firepole in the new office. Here is a link to said petition, please share this around to all your friends, family, pets, firepoles, etc. The new office will never be complete without a firepole https://www.change.org/p/linustechtips-install-a-firepole-to-the-new-office?just_created=true
  7. Hey admins, im not sure whether this is a legit account or not, there is no profile picture and only 1 post.. I just thought I would bring this to your attention. Link to their account: http://linustechtips.com/main/user/1-administrator/
  8. Remember this? Well since youtube is being a mong Luke has to be the new logo for Lynda.com, so Lynda has moved over and now Luke is driving the monster truck. And then I put up the wrong photo.. Good work me
  9. I used to have a Gigabyte board, and while I did not mind the UEFI BIOS, I have upgraded to an ASUS Z97-a, and the EZ and advanced mode are just so much better than good ole Gigabyte in my opinion. And most importantly, I am wearing black pants.
  10. I repasted it and still no difference in temps, must just be my sh*t cooler. brought to you by Phantom Glass
  11. I would happily swap the fan, but for some reason when I bought it, I didnt read much into the cooler, and I cant remove the fan, so I think I might save my pocket change and buy a new cooler
  12. load temps as I said, rendering a video it was roughly 75*C, the screenshot I shared was under light use having 1 tab open, and I was watching a 1080p video on youtube.
  13. Hi everyone, I got a new motherboard and CPU for xmas upgrading from an i3, and I know the temps would obviously be different, but im not sure if my computer is overheating or not. Lately it has been quite hot where I live (eastern Australia) and my i5 4690k hasn't had any issues on normal use, but when I render videos on Adobe Premiere CS6, the temps fly through the roof! Yesterday it hit about 75*C. I should of mentioned before that it is still on its factory clock speed. When I open my internet browser (Google Chrome) it for some reason 'redlines' and gets up to about 50*C, not entirely sure why, below I have attached a screenshot showing what I was doing and the temps. What im thinking is the problem, is that I didnt apply the thermal paste correctly (Arctic Silver 5) and I vaguely remember that for some stupid reason I did the line method and started in the middle and went a little bit down and forgot about the top. I think you all get the picture, thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully help me. My current specs are: i5 4690k Asus Z97-a motherboard 8GB G.Skill ARES ram 500gb wd blue hdd 500gb Hitachi hdd Gigabyte NVIDIA GT630 (under normal use it runs at about 41*C) Corsair CX500M PSU and since we're talking cooling, the most important part is my sh*t tastic Antec Kuhler H20 650 AIO liquid cooler. I forgot to add, im running Windows 8.1 Pro x64
  14. Thanks mate.. Maybe I should of held off on my new CPU.. Oh well, I like my i5 4690k quite a lot and does everything I want it to do
  15. Alright, I didnt read it properly but what socket is it? #possiblen00b
