Ahhh. Resetting the PC doewnt do anything. Reinstalling windows results in the programs getting wiped
-
I am talking about a windows reinstall.
-
It will wipe your C drives. So all the games and software installed on it will be gone. As for the personal files, they are saved on the D drive and whatever other non-OS drive, so they will not be wiped. So yes, Windows removes the games, so you will have to reinstall them.
-
I would suggest to go for the Starcraft games if you are into RTS. If you are into shooters, then go for the Quake series. The Destiny series seems good too, though I have never played it before.
-
I would highly suggest waiting to get the Z97 stuff, and going straight for the r9 390 [don't waste your money on the 960]. Also, I would suggest getting a higher wattage power supply [750 watts at least]. My uncle built a system with a 4790 on a Z97-A mobo [no GPU], and the 500 W power supply fried. He had to upgrade to a 600W power supply.

can i stream to twitch at 1080p playing games at ultra ?
SgtShaken4 replied to maria2244's topic in PC Gaming
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to... Though, if there is some issue with the upload speed I'd highly suggest to upgrade your internet. And also, What is your twitch ID... maybe I can advise from there. -
If I were on Windows 8/8.1, I would upgrade. Though, I would still prefer to stay on Windows 7 as I am now. However, don't forget to disable some of the settings that enable Windows 10 to spy on you. If you don't know what to turn off, check out Barnacules' video on it... it is pretty in-depth and goes through the whole process of getting your privacy back on Windows 10

PC Upgrade for recording Minecraft a 60 FPS
SgtShaken4 replied to Matias_Chambers's topic in New Builds and Planning
Actually, I would suggest getting an SSD too... an SSD improves the performance on minecraft significantly, even if it is a small one. Just make sure that Minecraft runs off the SSD and not the HDD. As for the CPU, you are fine with a 4790 if you plan to upgrade. 4790K is a lot more expensive than the 4790, but doesnt really affect the performance much. So a 970 [for shadowplay], and an SSD [for improving framerate]. Dont go for the 960 or the 950... the 970 is actually quite good to run Minecraft with a few shaders installed, as well as some mods. Hope I helped. SgtShaken4 -
Steelseries Sensei Mouse not tracking properly
SgtShaken4 replied to SgtShaken4's topic in Peripherals
I see... So does that mean that the reviewers are all lying about the sensei tracking on glass? And does it also mean that the Sensei isn't a laser mouse? -
So recently I noticed that my SS Sensei [Not a ship] was not tracking as it is expected to. I bought this mouse in 2012, choosing laser since there would be a few situations where I have to use it on unconventional surfaces [Glass, etc]. Recently, when I tried to use it on a glass table, it simply wouldn't track, and I'm not sure what's wrong. What would be my next course of action? Purchasing a new mouse isn't on the list as of now, as I am a student and don't have any source of income to purchase a new peripheral. Thanks.

Best gaming keyboard among the K70 and Quickfire TK?
-
Well i did consider using Tenkeyless designs, but the problem is that some functionalities in Flight Simulators will be gone because they are assigned to numpad buttons. Furthermore I am a casual gamer [just plays for the fun of playing around with glitches, running around TK-ing and just having fun], not a hardcore gamer, so I would not really benefit from the tenkeyless design

My uncle had the Sensei since 2011, when he used to play Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty and Command and Conquer...Then over the years he has been busy and abandoned the mouse [My grandma uses the same computer and the mouse was too fast tracking, too complicated for her to switch profiles, and overall too large for her hands]. So he swapped out the Sensei with a smaller, cheaper Microsoft wired mouse and threw the sensei into deep storage... 2 years later [2013], He heard from my aunt that my older gaming mouse had gotten wrecked [Razer Salmosa, given free when i bought a laptop], and gave it to me, where it was put to good use. Aside from the paint peeling off the back [happened when i tried to remove droplets of dried paint; from when my uncle was painting his wall and paint splashed on the sensei], and the side grip getting sticky at some times, the mouse is in perfect condition. Now the only problem is that SteelSeries Engine cant open, and comes up with the error "Driver not found"

I have watched the video, and played around with Cherry MX Blue Switches, and came up with the decision to get one with Cherry MX Blue switches, but cant decide between the K70 with Cherry MX Blue or the Quickfire TK with Cherry MX Blue...Its all stated above
