  1. Sorry about the confusion in regards to my last response. I can get the PC into sleep mode, but when I try to wake it up, it will wake up and then, shut down. The suggestion in the thread I linked does work, but I'd like to have sleep mode working properly if it is possible. Reading the thread you linked above, would updating my BIOS be of any help or not?
  2. Hello. For a 1st generation AMD Ryzen CPU, is it possible to disable c-states and have the ability to put the PC in sleep mode? This question is in reference to a thread I made linked here:
  3. So, I disabled c-states in the BIOS and I think that has fixed the issue as I haven't run into the issue again, but I'd like to have the ability to put my PC into sleep mode again. It gives me the option, but whenever I try to wake up my PC, it'll wake up and then, shut down. I assume that it wouldn't be possible since c states is a power saving feature and I'm basically disabling it, correct?
  4. Okay I will do that. I wonder why I am having an issue like that now considering I've used this cpu for 3 years now. Thank you for your input. Hopefully it'll work.
  5. Hello. My pc currently is facing an issue where it'll hard freeze in a few scenarios such as browsing the web/watching YouTube videos in Google Chrome or voice chatting in Discord. Whenever it freezes, I can use the mouse and for a short duration, I can use my keyboard to type in the search bar, but no search results will show up. Also, I have the task manager on my second monitor and although the usage details numbers will be frozen whenever the PC freezes, I commonly see that my GPU usage is up there like around 40-80% and on rare occasions peak to 100% and it's always Discord or Chrome depending on what I am doing like either watching a YouTube video or if I am on Discord. I uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver and that didn't solve it. I also reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows and that didn't solve my problem, so I was thinking perhaps this could be a hardware problem. So, I've looked around in various forums and they have pointed out different hardware issues ranging from memory, PSU, etc. and so the first thing I did was to replace my PSU which was a 7 year old Corsair RM750 PSU. That didn't work as I started experiencing the issue again. I ran the windows memory diagnostics tool and it passed that as well as memtest86. A few months later, my old hard drive started to click and on CrystalDIsk, it showed that it was in bad condition, so I replaced that with another Seagate hard drive and the issue still persists. However, just a few minutes ago when I just logged into Steam, Steam was loading up when I think the PC decided to freeze again and when I looked at task manager, it showed that my disk usage was at 12% and Steam was using around 10% and GPU usage was low around 15% as I was watching a YouTube video. So, now I am just confused and would love to know what other troubleshooting steps I can take before spending additional money on parts. Thank you in advance for the assistance and have a nice day. 6. I already have and it worked perfectly on their PC.
  7. Hello. I have an issue here where my OS won't recognize a certain USB device such as a printer or a sd card reader. It will recognize like my keyboard and my mouse. I connected it to all of my USB ports on my PC and none of the ports have any issues. I have installed the latest chipset drivers for my motherboard from the official website and it didn't solve the problem because I thought it had to do something with the motherboard but, I'm still not sure. I need help and this is the place that I get the most help. Thank you for reading my problem and I hope this can get fixed as soon as possible. EDIT: Oh and by the way, my motherboard is a Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97
  8. I wanted to experiment and overclock my EVGA GTX 970 but, even when I increased the GPU Boost Clock by only 10MHz and let Uninigine 4 run, the screen went black. Is this supposed to happen? I have heard that people were able to achieve their boost clock up to 1479MHz while I can't even achieve 1327MHz. I am getting frustrated by this and I am beginning to think that my gpu is not overclockable. I have followed JJ from ASUS over clocking tutorial on YouTube to help me assist on overclocking my GPU.
  9. I need help on this. I wanted to play around my 970 by overclocking it but, I wanted to see how it performs before I overclock it by using Heaven Benchmark 4. While it was benchmarking, the screen went black but, you could hear the audio and I was getting confused if it was the benchmarking tool or if it was the GPU. Anyway, I want to overclock this card without running into black screens if possible. Thanks!
  10. Hello Nick. I would use this processor to upgrade my current PC and some other PC parts.
  11. Hello people! I was wondering if it is possible to SLI a EVGA 970 SC ACX 2.0 and the same model but the FTW version together. Will it cause some issues?
