  1. Why I'm Suing YouTube, by Business Casual Not sure if this can be considered as tech news, so am posting it here, since this video definitely needs more eyeballs watching it. Depending on future developments of the case, this could be HUGE, not only for YouTube, but for the whole idea of copyright, by mudding even more an already extremely subjective thing as 'fair use'. By RT and YouTube's logic, anyone could for example, take a LTT video, redub it in another language, reupload it to YouTube, and monetize it. tl,dw: YouTube refuses to follow their own rules about copyright when the defendant is Russian state media, for seemingly monetary reasons, and is going as far as legally siding with the Russians against an American creator to undermine the DMCA.
  2. Don't really know where to post this, so whatever. Earlier today, in WAN Show, Linus mentioned building a tea PC for Spiffing Brit, and had some ideas with Luke, and one of those ideas was a teapot-shaped system. The tube pouring part could be something like this.
  3. I'm trying to decide if I buy an Acer Aspire Nitro 5 AN515-44-R8HN or a Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05, both have the same specs, and similar pricing, but every site that compares laptops that I've found, has neither of them in their databases. Where can I find a comparison between the two of them?
  4. I honestly hope that OP is trolling, because I'd be impressed if there was someone so out of touch with reality out there.
  5. This, but 3D printable and sold in LTTstore for those who doesn't have a 3D printer.
  6. A comparison of battery life between multiple OS(and multiple Linux distros). Could also use the frame.work laptop for it, since it gives the option of not having Windows pre-installed.
  7. Don't know if there's even enough space in it, but a heated mouse/keyboard, for people with cold hands, would be an interesting overengineered diy video.
  8. Spinning rust will never be fast enough to need PCI-E. My issue with SATA is the need to have 2 separated cables. Which is why I mentioned USB-C.
  9. SAS is a bit big, isn't it? I was thinking something along the lines of USB-C, small and easy to cable manage.
  10. For normal people, maybe, but for data hoarders, who aren't yet at a point to build an actual server, multiple HDDs in a single case is still needed.
  11. Considering the new power standard of MoBos and PSUs(12V from the PSU being converted by the MoBo), is it possible that in the near future we'll see the death of current SATA, so that it'll be replaced by a single-cabe solution?
  12. Yes, using 8.8.4.4 right now. Am not at home rn, will do it when I get there.
  13. Is it possible to make a homemade DNS server? The default one from my provider goes down frequently, and Google/Cloudflare's have quite a lot of latency where I live so they are annoying to use. Thought about searching servers with low latency, but don't trust them since they don't have a big company behind it.
  14. Pretty much this, but with a mechanical keyboard.
  15. Am in Brazil, so the format in the OS is sunday as the first day of the week, but in LibreOffice it seems to be monday.
