  1. those ryzen ones are probably the most igpu you can get
  2. Hey guys. I've been wanting to get a linux box for a while, and from the average pc video I know that ltt has a 4770k and a z87-i deluxe and some ddr3 memory. I want to buy that stuff and I want to know if i can and how. Thanks for any tips
  3. the second is a default dell xps background. the first is from portal2, this
  4. In all the videos of Alex using a laptop, his desktop background is always the same. Does anyone know what it is? Here are screenshots of said desktop backgrounds. Also, does anyone know what the second one is?
  5. look at this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI_Gaming/comments/fctlu4/msi_b450_tomahawk_max_cpu_debug_light/
  6. what cpu error light are you talking about? the post code light or whatever it is for your board?
  7. def the mx450 for decoding h.265. in general, it's better to separate the cpu and gpu for more performance and allocation of resources in general. (also I think the mx450 outperforms the iris)
  8. ok so I made a post and I had been having some trouble getting the system to post as well (turns out atx 4 pin had come out) but now after reseating the drive a few times I still can't get the motherboard to detect the drive. I re inspected the pins and the m.2 socket and I didn't see any ripping on the pads or any physical damage. The only thing that I could think of was the little stupid rubbery heat spreader had gotten on the little components near the socket, could that have caused a short? I don't really know what to do right now
  9. Hi! So I was just rebuilding my computer because I did a terrible job of cable management the first time, and now when I tried to boot from my impromptu test bench (motherboard box) it said that my m.2 ssd wasn't showing up. I just reinstalled it hoping that it was just my installation of the drive (thermal pad from mono was covering components and gold pads near the end of the drive) and that I didn't brick it somehow. I did not see any physical damage, so is it possible that I could've bricked the drive or was it just my installation? Thanks, Red_Fox_1293 ps board is crosshair 8 hero, ssd is sabrent rocket 4.0 500gb, cpu is 3950x
  10. can I use something like manjaro or pop or elementary?
  11. ok. I still want to main windows, just considering most of the programs I use are good for windows (does adobe creative suite work on linux?) so I think I will put a distro I like on a vm and work it as my main for a bit
  12. Hey guys! I want to get into linux because I want a light OS with all that I need with just about no restrictions, and Linux is perfect for that. One problem is: to me, Linux is downright daunting. I've used raspbian and ubuntu in the past, and I don't understand the commands or honestly what the hell is going on. I want to learn, so do you guys have any forums or courses or articles that I can look into? -Red_Fox_1293
  13. i personally like my secretlab titan but its a bit expensive
