  1. Do you have any OS preference? If not, you can go for MacBook Pro or the MSI GP65 Leopard 10SFK-047 for editing photos and videos. Rest, you can take a look at this post: https://laptopdiscovery.com/best-laptops-for-animation/ they've mentioned some really good laptops which can solve your purpose easily
  2. Hey all, I don't think you should have any problem partitioning the m.2 drive. I think you are trying to make management or organisation a bit better for your tasks. You can certainly go ahead and split the m.2 drive and not worry about the performance. Happy to help!
  3. Hi there, This particular news of fibreglass based hard drive has been around since mid 2017, as I recall it. I don't think we can expect such a device anytime soon and my guess would be that it should almost five to ten years to reach the market. Only then we would know about its performance and other factors. But, it is certainly an exciting technological development in the storage space. Happy to share my thoughts!
  4. Hello there, The answer to your question is quite simple; WD Blue SATA SSD should be your pick all day long. I have used both these types and I found the blue to perform better even under extreme circumstances. Though both these options should suit your purpose, I would suggest blue. Glad to be of any help!
  5. Hi there, I think you are looking for a posh SSD, in which case you should be better off with WD RED Pro and Seagate IronWolf Pro. These are the two drives I would recommend, since my guess is that you are not ready to compromise on performance. Hope this helps!
  6. Hello, WD5000LPCX that you have bought is a great option, and I don't think you need to worry about the run time of your PC, as it should have zero impact on the durability of your HDD. So, there is nothing to worry about lifespan. There are a lot of other factors that could lead to HDD damage, but certainly not high PC run rate. Glad to be of any help!
  7. Hi there, Is there any specific reason for you to go for an 800 watt PSU? RTX 3070 GPU should do just fine with just 650 watt PSU, which is my personal thought. I would recommend that you go for corsair RM650x, which is 650 watt and has adequate power and performance. Other options are cooler master MW650, thermal take tough power grand 650, and EVGA P2. Hope this helps! Cheers!
  8. Hello, I was about to talk about the same power saving issue too. Make sure that the power manager is not doing anything when you put the device to sleep. Also, try to switch the windows to sleep using the options menu. You can also try altering the power mode on the USB. Simply select the option of "keeping the USB always on" even when the laptop is in sleep mode. Hope this helps!
  9. Hi there, I think it is better to go for a replacement rather than a refund. Since you have already checked the store and have the same model available, get yours replaced right away. The 13 AW0350 of HP Spectre x360 might not be available later on, so proceed with your replacement at the earliest. Hope you get things sorted soon! Cheers!
  10. Hey there, I would highly recommend that you go for corsair CX450, as it also seems to be the most suggested one by experts. Cooler Master 650W PSU is also an okay option, but I would personally recommend the former. Glade to be of any help! Cheers!
  11. Hello there, Since you own a pre-build, I don't think RTX 3080 would do any justice, because most pre-builds have cheap components. For RTX 3080 to work in its best form, you should have some of the best PC build components. This is my personal opinion and I hope it helps you some way or the other. Cheers!
